The Alexandra in Newport

Saturday 11th March 2023 Tonight, I visited this vibrant real ale pub in the centre of Newport. The young people inside this real ale pub were loud, but all in hood fun Music not to my taste /I'm and I visited old foagie like/ This pub served 3 great real ales picture posted on pubs website. I was very impressed by this pubs beers And atmosphere. This is a place I am very impressed with. Saturday 15th February 2025 This pub is a very good real ale pub tonight it had 3 great hand pumped RHYMNEY BREWERY real ales on see picture on dite and the locals vety pleasent and yhe pub a goodvlocals pub. The staff really good and atmosphere was also good Keep up good work all involved

Great beer at great prices. Lots of ti's with sport! Karaoke on a Tuesday!

This pub has a belting juke box and being a Rhymney Ale pub has a good, cheap selection of ale. The people in the pub made me feel welcome. All in all, enjoyed it.

Went in Saturday dinner time, really friendly barman (or should that be barperson.) Nice to share a drink with characters for a change. Will be back.

This place reminds me of the old fashioned working class pubs of years ago but it's a friendly pub and excellent value for money. I am happy to visit again in the future.

Cold in the pub, it saves a lot. And then a cold beer...not much for £3.70.

The only bar that is open in Newport. :)

We visited on Saturday, had a great atmosphere both in the afternoon and the evening. Reasonably priced drinks, friendly staff and friendly customers. Loved that we'd spent a night having a laugh with great people singing along to great music

Bit pricey but it is a city centre pub

A nice new little city centre pub. One can drink a decent pint of real ale or whatever's tipple. They could do with some more serving staff though, especially due to current COVID conditions.

Called for a pint not impressed.a few very drunk men on bar one singing barmaid did nothing .beer ok a bit small for me especially when or if it gets really busy.a few screens around won't bother again tried to give it another go but was put of by all smoking around entrance

Little disappointing, just a trendy pub filled with commercial beer and three rhumney pumps. Nothing really to attract me back.
