BEWARE ! CHOOSE SOMEWHERE ELSE TO EAT - AWFUL ATTITUDE AND UNFRIENDLY SERVICE. HOW IS THIS PLACE STILL OPEN - UTTER CRAP

Make sure you check your order before you leave as when they make a mistake the so called manager/owner called Dan will argue with you saying you are wrong and call you a liar, then he will not change the food to what you ordered or apologise or even solve the situation ! The staff that work there are also clueless !

Have had lots of lovely meals but the one that we just had a delivered was disgusting the spring rolls were reheats. Crispy beef was all congealed the fried rice and the chicken curry was stone cold. When I phoned I was told 30 minutes the delivery arrived 15 minutes later there is no way it was all cooked fresh in that time. Won’t be going back. A waste of £22.

My first time here only because my local takeaway is temporarily closed, I have to say I am very impressed, very tasty food so I would highly recommend this takeaway and I will definitely be back. I've had 4 takeaways all nice until this evening. We had a meal from here this evening and we were very disappointed with what are normally lovely made fresh chips, they were at all nice and this spoiled the food, shame. I've downgraded the stars from 5` two 2` My latest visit here and glad to say much better once again. From 2 stars to 5 😀

Quality is very average. Singapore King prawn was not good, lots of salt, preservatives and cornflower used. chow mein been there a while by the taste and over cooked noodles. The only thing I liked was the chippy chips! Kids loved the chicken balls but the rest 👎🏻 please invest in some quality authentic ingredients Chinatown! I’ll happily pay more if the dishes are fresh and have less additives etc.

Great service, really friendly staff. Food was great, really tasty! Only slight thing I would say is the egg fried rice looked slightly over cooked tasted ok though! Would highly recommend

Best Chinese take away in Rogerstone area 💯

My mother in law ordered a large meal this evening for a family get-together. Upon delivery we noticed that both Chicken Chow Meins were missing and an extra chicken curry was on the delivery that we had not ordered. We immediately called the takeaway to advise them that two Chicken Chow Meins were missing and after waiting whilst they checked the receipt we were told that we hadn't ordered Chicken Chow Mein! My mother in law advised them that we had definitely ordered the items as it was on a written list that was read to the member of staff that took the order over the phone, who also read it back! This wouldn't be so bad if it was a one-off. However, a few week prior, exactly the same thing happened where they did not deliver items that were ordered, and then said that we hadn't ordered them! As a loyal customer of some 20 years, once is a mishap, but twice is starting to form a pattern that we don't plan on repeating in the future. We even spoke with the owner, who offered no recompense, stating that if it wasn't ordered they were not in the wrong. It's one thing to make an error, it's another matter all together when you emphatically state that your customer is lying about what they ordered. Anyone looking to order from China town, be advised, even if they read back to you what you have ordered - that's no guarantee that it will be delivered and management will accept no responsibility and just say you never ordered it!

Lush food! Quick service. Yummy food.

Ordered a meal from here last night for delivery and it was awful. The prawn toast and chicken balls were cremated and unedible. Basically £15 thrown in the bin. The rice and noodles were dry and bland. Then to top it off, the chips were soggy. Tried to ring back at 10.35 and they'd stop answering the phone. Terrible service. Won't use again and most certainly won't recommend.

Quick service and the takeaway was prepared very quickly. A lovely tasting meal at a reasonable price.

Busy place needs a slight revamp.

Excellent Chinese, one of the best around for the actual Chinese style main dishes and a very wide ranging menu. We travel from 20 mins up the road to come here but tend to order on quieter weeknights as it can get very busy due to popularity and even very busy may be a wait even if ordering ahead.

Fab food fab chips.. chip shop style. Highly recommend

We have used Chinatown for several years, food consistently good, and good service. Can get very busy on Friday and Saturday nights so book early.

Lovely food but smaller servings than b4 had beef and mushrooms last night must of had magic mushrooms in there as they made the beef disappear 3 small pieces of beef in the hole tub

Just had our first and last chinese meal delivery from China Town Rogerstone. An hour after our order, food delivered, Cold chips, Chicken-less Chow Mein, fried? rice. All very dry. Complete waste of money. Never again.

Food was over an hour late, no contact to let us know, ruined my nanas 75th birthday, absolutely distrusting!! Owner claimed there was nothing they could do!! Over £50 worth of food least they could've done is given a 10%discount for inconvenience. Nana isn't supposed to eat after 8pm due to her being diabetic 😕. Never offering again x terrible service wouldn't recommend

Tried for the second week to order over the telephone, tried for an hour constantly engaged. If you can get through the food is fab but surely they could have more than one telephone line!

If your looking for a good standard meal this is the one. Sometimes really nice other times quiet plain, but never bad.

Rude girl on fone when complained about having a bug in the food. Sent the driver to collect the meal with the bug in and gave us the money Back for that dish. What’s the point. Filthy place avoid

Worst chip shop in the area. If there was an option to give no stars this place would get none. Haven't used here for a long time and definitely never going back. Soggy, greasey, anaemic, black chips. Steer clear of here and drive further. There are much better chip shops in the local area.

Fantastic Chinese and chip shop, good sized portions. Food is very good not to greasy, good price. You can phone your order in or get delivery, all cooked fresh. This is deffo one of my new takeaway spots. Lots of parking outside to grab and go.

I like the Chinese food here you get plenty of it and it's delicious at reasonable prices. The staff are really friendly and the owners employ a lot of local people. They also deliver.

5 Star Hygiene rating as of this week. Quick delicious food. Serves both traditional chip shop food and traditional Chinese dishes. Once you try China Town you will NOT go else where!!

Stopped off while traveling past Newport, phones order in from motorway. Was surprised at good prices, then when picking up the order found it to be a hybrid between traditional British fish and chips and Chinese takeaway. Brilliant, our portion of chips e ordered were 'real' chip shop chips! The Chinese dishes were also perfect. All at a very good price, portions were large too.

Food is delicious , everything was reasonably priced and service was quick . The only thing that detracts from it is the exterior of the building and car park look awfully shabby .

Poor delivery service :( told 1hr was actually 2hrs and then food was cold called to complain and was told 1.30 minutes before I could get replacement order ended up driving down there to return the food to find 4 staff members standing around behind counter :/ Didn't bother with replacement meal had a refund and went elsewhere instead.

I do like a take away. King prawn and spicy garlic sauce is my favourite.

i cannot believe that the food standard has lowered and those young pieces of eye candy whom suppose to give excellent customer service seem to have chow mein between their ears. No intelligence or common sense whatsoever. i ask that how is it that a fish and chip shop has all the fish pieces exactly the same size and shape then profess that the fish is fresh. The Chinese takeaway is just as bad the service is dismal and the food standard is poor. the taste barely registers and i feel the food is for those with sensitive taste buds. I would advise anyone who wishes to order there please do but at your own peril. I ordered Beef Chow Mein and the noodles were stale and crunchy! When you ring up i would just accept the loss The eye-candies cannot respond to any logical query and it must have been my fault and second the one that i cannot understand how is it The owners lose the ability to converse in english when you complain GO figure!
