Great pub great atmosphere makes you feel welcome have great live music also live sport as well always something going on and they still manage to keep prices down

Firstly i would like to say that i read some of the reviews and alot are very old. As far as im aware there is newish management now. We were greeted with lovely bar staff and friendly locals. Cheap drinks and a nice atmosphere, new pool table too so will definitely be back..

All the staff were very accommodating to myself and my friends. Service with a smile and got seen promptly. The prices are amazing in there, have plenty of deals on for shots and cocktails. They have live singers some times and I have found these really good.

I wouldnt go to the place if you got some form of mental health problem. The local alcoholics will quickly pick up on it and take the piss out of you. Very clicky place usually full of people with a sub-par education. And no the barmaid doesnt fancy you - shes just talking you up, so she can score another free drink to put in the cupboard behind the door.

Great pub, friendly staff with fast service. All round good and enjoyable atmosphere throughout the night defiantly will be going there again

Didn’t catch his name but me and my friend came in last night to then be approached but what seemed a very angry and rude doorman slim to medium build and a bald head and clean shaven I do not appreciate the way I was spoken to I hope this gets delt with in the right way and I have also taken this to the sia

the pub has changed hands now, its managed by Craft Union. excellent price range , carling £2.30 a pint , stella £3.40 a pint friendly bar staff & punters . clean & tidy , free juke box behind the bar ! no food served here though .

Went in with friend got talking to Lee the bar staff very friendly as we are from Newcastle customer's very friendly lovely decor can't wait to come back

I live a few feet away from this pub and they have no respect for licensing laws or the surrounding neighborhood. Regular lock ins, loud music blasting across the area until way past closing time, idiots (including the staff) shouting and arguing in the garden while in a shameful state. Shut up or the police are getting involved. I moved here to study and won't struggle with my degree just because the owners of this pub have no respect for the town they serve.

Popped in whilst staying at Butlins. Very friendly and excellent roast. Also week day menu very reasonable. Dishes home made. Well worth a visit. Good value.

Friday night 9.15- seven people in, including 4 rowdy men at the bar- tells you everything. No atmosphere, limited Real Ales available and no feel good factor.

Brilliant atmosphere, friendly staff, mandy the landlady is exceptionally helpful, free jukebox from 5pm to 8pm monday to Thursday and cheap drinks, would really recommend for a good time.

Devoid of any atmosphere. No charm. I hope this pub picks up as it used to be a very busy place some years back.

Very nice public house in the centre of Bognor Regis. The pub is well worth a visit as the staff and costumers are very friendly and make you feel very welcome. It stocks a comprehensive selection of beers and spirits at very reasonable prices.

After the World cup the pub will be offering a good selection of home made food during lunch time from the re-vamped kitchen.ALL dishes will be made in house All vegetables will be fresh asides from peas.Look out for the rump steak burgers 4 and 8 oz made from prime rump steak served with an option of caramelised onions and twice cooked chips.Saturday specials are a burger (a prime home made 4oz rump steak burger)and a pint(John Smiths smooth or Fosters lager) for a fiver!!!

Friendly pub, we didn't eat here but the service was prompt and atmosphere friendly, would go again.

Terrible service. Got yelled at by the cook for waiting for dessert. Told to eat it in the garden, it never arrived. Something seriously wrong with this establishment would give minus 10 if possible.

Atendido por la cena de Navidad hoy. Muy desorganizado desde el comienzo como éramos un grupo de 6 con mucha antelación y les tomó un tiempo sólo para conseguir una silla extra. Nos gritó que dejáramos la mesa así que podría ser otro comensales antes de haber terminado! Tras acomodarnos el hecho de que habíamos pagado para postres (que hubiera notado) nos dijeron que comer fuera en el jardín entre fumadores pub gente. Nunca recibimos los postres o la restitución para ellos. No estará representado de nuevo en un recuento de la pura grosería y terrible organización de hoy.

Very friendly local pub on the edge of town. Food served for limited hours which is a shame. Live music too.

Might have arrived at the wrong time but, on a Saturday evening, the place was almost empty. The decor, though perhaps over the top in the old days, now seems a bit confused....brightly lit meets flock wallpaper, leather sofas meets laminate floors....trying to be contemporary...

Newly refurbished pub 1 minute walk from Bognor Regis train station,serving a good range of real ale. Live bands playing on Friday night and Sunday tea time friendly staff always happy to help. Just started serving Sunday roast but not had the chance to try one yet

A surprising change if decor after years bring this place up to date with clean fresh surroundings. A true local for locals who want a quiet drink anytime.

You just have to try the roast on a Sunday. The beef is just as it should be..melts in the mouth. Loads of veg to accompany it. Reasonably priced too. Oldy worldy pub, that's exudes character.

The Alex, or Alexandra Tavern, deserves a write-up in TripAdvisor, and I don't know why it has not been reviewed until now. The Alex is in an historic old building with low ceilings, low doorways and cozy confines - typical of a 400-year-old pub. The Alex is a no frills kind of place, with a penchant for fine (real) ales, ciders and lagers. A huge collection of coffee mugs, tea cups and tea kettles hangs from the ceiling. The food is reputed to be excellent here, although I have not tried anything off the small menu. Popular with locals - that's for sure. It's listed in the "Good Pub" guide, and has a Facebook page (I'm not on FB, so I can't say for sure). Listings for the pub in other guides say it also offers three hotel rooms. Loved this friendly little place and its excellent selection of real ales.
