The Alchemist Canary Wharf in Tower Hamlets

We recently celebrated our friends' joint birthday at Alchemist Canary Wharf and while the evening had its ups and downs, it was a nice experience overall because of the theatrics with the drinks which was a new experience for most of our group. The overall atmosphere was pleasant, but we felt the service lacked a personal touch. It didn't quite feel like a special occasion, despite my requests and reminders with and after booking. However, Lydia was a shining exception. She went above and beyond to decorate the birthday cake and let us have some extra time when no booking was there after us and, crucially, ensured our discount was applied. We had booked on the last day of the promotion, assuming it would be automatically applied, but it wasn't. Lydia's care and thoughtfulness saved the day, and we're incredibly grateful. Without her, this review would have been considerably less positive. We were particularly excited about the theatrical drink presentations, but unfortunately, they felt rushed, diminishing the experience. The food, however, was a mixed bag. The 'Plant Sharer' starter was a hit, especially the vegan dim sum, and the Korean Superfood Salad was delicious. For vegetarians not a lot of choice so we went with the halloumi flatbread and it was a big disappointment - was overly sweet. None of liked it. Considering the prices, it was a shock to get it. The seating arrangement wasn't ideal, despite our request for a special occasion table. The time slot also felt a bit short for a large group celebration, so I'd recommend considering this if you're planning a big gathering. Also, if you are planning to celebrate, try to avoid Fridays. In summary, while the food and atmosphere had their inconsistencies, Lydia's exceptional service truly made the evening memorable. Thank you, Lydia!

Habíamos reservado una mesa para tomar algo. Estábamos situados justo enfrente del bar, que era genial como se podía ver los camareros preparando las bebidas. Compramos un frasco de cadera que costó £ 10 , estos tenían un logotipo alquimista en el que pensamos que era una hermosa pieza de recuerdos. Fue una experiencia genial ir aquí y sin duda volveré con las chicas para algunos cócteles más.

Esta no fue mi primera vez en el Alchemist, sin embargo, Jovana hizo que fuera una gran experiencia que fuera tan acogedora y siempre estaba allí para pedir ayuda, ya fueran recomendaciones o su servicio rápido! Hizo que mi cumpleaños fuera genial, así que gracias a ella!
