Really good choice food served quickly. All team were faultless Dave stood out and was brilliant. Pub was very busy, would go again.

Think wetherspoons are going down the pan, food is getting expensive and quality is not good. Food is always stone cold and served on cold plates

Food came out cold after being on hot hold for god knows how many hours. There was no way the food was freshly cooked as it came out 5 mins after ordering. Sent it back fir it to be warmed up in the microwave. Foid came back with a jey ingredient missing on the cheese burger and that was cheese. Sent it back for them to slap a Tesco own piece of plastic cheese on it. The restaurant wasn't busy as we didn't eat until just after 10pm and the kitchen closes at 11pm. Sorry to inconvenience the chefs early night.

Amazing pub, best organised I've seen in years. Man on door was fantastic getting people seated fast. Staff super fast, security friendly and efficient. World highly recommend a visit.

Albert and the Lion was super clean when we visited and super fast. The food was on our table quickly and the kids menu was brilliant as well as the adult menu. The fact that kids are well catered for is a bonus. The prices were fantastic and the dessert portion was massive, loved it.

Very disappointed on this visit. Ordered the ultimate burger which arrived so fast. I know weatherspoons promise your food within 10 mins of ordering but if this is going to have an affect on the quality of the meal then I would rather wait until it had at least been cooked to temperature. My ultimate burger was the ultimate let down. The bacon on top was absolutely freezing. I use this type of bacon at home and this had without doubt been taken straight from the packet and thrown straight on top of my burger without seeing a pan or griddle or even a microwave. The burgers were also cold making the whole thing an absolute disaster. I have been to many many weatherspoons and this has got to be my biggest let down of all of them. Very disappointed.

Came here for some drinks with my partner before we checked into our hotel. Drinks was lovley and fast service however I send my boyfriend over to the bar to get me some plasters as my feet was covered in blisters and I was in a lot of pain. The man behind the bar I believe his name was ‘boris’ flat out refused to help me or give me any sort of plaster or first aid. Absolutely ridiculous for a member of staff to refuse something as simple as a plaster to help me when I was in discomfort!!! Thankfully the lovey lady running the food with the floral top was happy to help with my issue. thank you if your reading this and to the man behind the bar you need to learn some simple etiquette!!!

We have been to a lot of Weatherspoons on our travels, but this has most disappointing one yet, the food was disgusting, the American burger was dry and lukewarm warm not very pleasant to eat after after two bites I abandoned it, the chicken basket was tasteless even with the sauce, unacceptable standard of food, would have been better to eat at a pound burger van, we will be giving it a miss in the future.

Came to Blackpool today and called for breakfast had eggs bennidict the poached eggs were like hard boiled eggs mentioned it to the lad serving with brown hair and blond on top who was very stand offish said he could try and get them to do it again but it will be the same they Carnt do poached eggs so we ate it then when husband was coming back with a hot drink he the lad walked in front of him making my husband spill the drink never even looked up or apologised we mentioned it to the manager who was lovely we would go again if in area as it on the seafront and the service was quick

Visit to Blackpool I’d not noticed here previously so we were feeling peckish off we ventured in. Ordered up no problem off the app, fast service and choice of meal 2x chicken masala arrived in no time. Busy place here Typical. Weather spoons fare, so that’s ok for us. Staff polite helpful. Spent around 45 minutes here (blowing a cold wind outside ) nice to get away from the elements.

Our yearly trip to Blackppol means a couple of visits to The Albert and Lion. It's a really relaxed place during the winter. Staff are always efficient and friendly. Food was what you expect from Wetherdpoons, fast and convenient. Only issue now like with all Wetherdpoons, well all large franchises really, cost has gone up and quantity down. Though I can fault service or food I should imagine you could find better in Blackpool on a winters night

We love The Albert,we always enjoy our meals and the atmosphere is pleasant.We visited on Valentines Day with our family for my 4yr olds birthday trip to Blackpool and the service was brilliant,a member of staff called Simone went above and beyond to make our sons day even more special,she brought out his birthday cake that we took along and sang happy birthday to him and gave him(and us)a treat we will never forget,we are so greatful to her and those memories will last a lifetime...Thanks Simone you truly are a beautiful soul❤️

Really busy, always a good sign! We had just been the Wethers around the corner for a drink but decided against eating there as it didn't have a very nice feel to it. Walked in here and found a table just become free in the window, young lad came straight over and cleared it away in an instant, super friendly so it already felt better than the other place. Ordered on the App and drinks with with us in minutes, and food took no time too. We all had something different to eat and it wasn't disappointing, really enjoyed it. Would go back here again.

Popped in for breakfast, chose the large option, which was very nice along with a nice black coffee, place looked clean, staff were friendly, will be back.

AVOID! I am never a person to complain however the food was not cooked to standard, the chips were hard had to force a fork through them to cut it, to my experience chips are supposed to be light and fluffy please correct me if I’m wrong, the chips were literally cardboard and definitely not cooked. My partner had a chicken jalfrazi curry he said once he poured the curry out it was very watery more water then sauce. We are aware of how weather spoons is cooked as my partners relative worked in spoons for many years but was expecting more quality of food due to going to the weatherspoons at the pleasure beach wbich is called the velvet coaster where the food is amazing would highly recommend only a 15 minute walk extra!

Always enjoy coming to this wetherspoons. Very disappointed with this Wetherspoons. Tables were not cleared, when our food arrived they made no attempt to take plates, cups, glasses etc away with them leaving barely enough room for our plates. Orders were wrong, lasagne came with chips and not the salad as ordered. Wilton ham was sweaty rubber ham with one egg and not the two as on the menu. Didn't see any other servers other than the one who plonked our meals in front of us. Not worth the walk in the wind

Oh dear how have standards dropped while the prices have risen. Spoons used to be a reliable place for a cheap n cheerful meal in a strange town and I last visited one before lockdown. Went into this one for a quick lunch today. Wish we hadn't bothered. Poor menu so we had 2 different Xmas burgers. Poor quality food and I think mine had been in the bun for some time judging by temperature and soggy bun. On the upside the coffee was cheap, rather good and infinitely refillable. But people must still like the place, it was crowded.

Called in for a drink and maybe something to eat. Decided to try the food. I had fish chips and mushy peas. My wife had chicken basket. Both extremely good. Drinks really cheap. Great atmosphere. Staff apart from one, Andrew were really good.

Beautiful inside but would have been nice to have been served by friendly smiling staff - none of the staff seemed to smile. Did not have to wait too long before our meals were served but was disappointed with them as they were only lukewarm and portions were small. Did not really enjoy the meals but we were starving after shopping so would have eaten almost anything!! Next time in Blackpool will not revisit this place, had a lot better meal in the of the back street cafe's

Appalling food and terrible service. Food luke warm staff and management rude. Complained got nowhere so left meal snd walked out. Sent a complaint in to head office with a catalogue of things that were nice . Offered a £10 voucher to say dorry. Wouldn't accept it as we would never go back. Had a reply back to say we are not allowed back due to abusive behaviour.. 3 pensioners unreal .. avoid at all cost.

Lovely, quick service every time. Visited 2 times over 2 days for a pit stop for a drink, didn’t order food but sat outside the drinks ordered via app. Came within 5 mins each time. Always clean. Always busy, it shows they are doing something right. Thanks

On our arrival it was very busy but we did manage to find a table in the middle of the pub .There wasn’t much room as the tables were extremely close together, when our breakfast was placed on the table things didn’t look great my partner ordered a sausage butty the sausages looked like chimps fingers and the bread was very dry , I myself had the veggie breakfast (large) which sounded good on the menu how wrong I was . It was a mixture of warm and cold food , hash browns that had the same texture as weetabix and eggs that looked like they came from the joke shop down the road , small scoop of beans , tiny mushroom , 1/2 a Tom , warm bread ( toast) and three sausages which weren’t to bad to be honest . Overall satisfaction rating 1 out of 10 for the fact that the place had a roof and that kept the rain of our heads . Would never eat at Wetherspoons again .

Disgraceful lies by staff because the bottom line was they couldn’t cope with the demand for breakfast, all people want is honesty to say no more orders till a certain time. Instead the manager on duty 23rd September 2023 was walking around saying I can’t cope I’m stressed another manager saying the fryers were down, and I was standing by the serving hatch watching them cook blatant lies and poor management poor staff which need all sacking and having a job on the pier in charge of throwing darts at a dart board or hooking a fish DO NIT USE THE ALBERT AND LION FOR BREAKFAST😡😡😡😡😡😡

It's a Wetherspoon so you know what you're gonna get. Food was hot, service was speedy and prices were competitive. Pub was busy, presumably because the weather was foul but we found a table fairly quickly and there was no queue at the bar

We had breakfast everyday whilst we were in Blackpool on holiday .We had the traditional breakfast ,it was always cooked perfectly and we didn't have to wait long for our food to arrive . One thing we notice with Wetherspoons is the hot food is served on hot plates and the staff always warned us that the plates were hot when they put them down in front of us . So many cafes /restaurants bring food on cold plates . Staff were all so friendly and kept the place clean and tidy .

After leaving home at 4.45am and driving almost 300 miles we were famished. Not knowing the area, we opted for a Wetherspoons breakfast as we know what we are getting, usually!! It was the last Sunday before schools reopened after the summer holidays, around 9.45am and a boiling hot day. The place was heaving, but we managed to get a small table with two high stools by the bar, and had to find a menu. My husband went to the bar to order, but so many people were also waiting to order. Order placed, the food was served quicker than we thought it would. The 2 plates hardly fitted on the table, one false move and the lot would have been on the floor! The food was hot and well presented, but the tables were too close to each other, the girl at the next table kept flinging her long hair about and only just missed landing in my food - not nice. As I was eating, she kept knocking my arm, and another child was trying squeeze between the tables. The noise level was off the scale, so all in all, it was a very uncomfortable experience, we couldn’t wait to get out of there - never to return.

My wife ordered the American style burger. I ordered the cod and chips. Our order came within 5mins. The place was packing. As a retired Chef from the Argyle suite Ibrox park this sent alarm bells. It is impossible to cook this food that fast. More so with the place being so busy. My wife's burger came with a bun two burgers a bit of lettuce and red onion. NOT as advertised on the menu with cheese, Gorkin, ketchup and American style mustard. Staff looked over work and under a lot of pressure. So did not complain. Its not there fault. We will just not return. We did find a great meal at the steakhouse south pier. We waited a while, but don't mind that due to the quality of the food at the same rip off price at the Albert and the Lion.
