We wanted to try the Thai restaurant. It was really delicious, good size portions and great service! We will most definitely go back!

Pub with typical English decor but with a very respectable Thai restaurant. The room is nice and everything is absolutely clean. The food is too sweet for my taste, but very good value for money. The service was attentive, efficient and particularly friendly. Without being a must, it is a place that I will visit regularly when I stay in the neighborhood and that I recommend.

We went to the NZ game and gave up after 25 minutes of not being served. We have always come to this pub over the last 15 years. You need more staff sell more beer. Worst ever experience ever trying to get served.

I am writing to express my disappointment with the way we were treated at Nelson's on my son's 16th birthday . We had decided to celebrate by having food and drinks, as I understood that a 16-year-old is legally permitted to consume alcohol with a parent present. However, shortly after my son took a sip of his beer, the lady manager abruptly approached our table and demanded that we leave. I presented my son's ID to confirm his age, but she claimed it was against the pub's policy for him to drink. When I politely asked her to show us the policy, she was unable to do so and continued to insist that we leave immediately. As a result, we had to leave, leaving both our food and drinks untouched. This incident was not only embarrassing but also ruined what was meant to be a special day for my son. It felt as though the manager did not want us there from the beginning, which made the experience all the more disappointing. I will be escalating this matter further on trust pilot, but I wanted to first bring it to your attention.

I'm a bit disappointed. Ok, for a pint. The lager I drink was off tap, the gin and Tonic was just ice no lemon or fruit as they were waiting on delivery ( But shop is next door so why not buy a few lemons ) Bad selection of crisps ( Horrible) and very loud customers which can't be helped, so not the place to go for a quiet drink. Being Whitton, I would like to see more of a British pub and not Thai food.

Genuinely some of the best Thai food I've eaten in London let alone a pub! Hats off to the new manager for switching things up at the Admiral Nelson, he's smashed it — we were also there for the Pub Quiz (on Wednesday nights) which was thoroughly enjoyable.

Stopped by for a quick Guinness , and a Pie and Mash. Nice big Telly and the Guinness was reasonable, but nowhere near as good as The Prince Albert 😉

Lovely local pub which we booked, for a group dinner of 12 people, to try their Thai cuisine. I (as well as another guest) was disappointed by the portion size of the Pad Thai, however it seemed other dishes were reasonable portions. I tried mango sticky rice for the first time, for dessert, but was disappointed by the presentation compared to the expectations/standards an earlier Google search had set. Given this is the only dessert (other than scoops of ice cream) on their menu, I would have expected a little more pride/effort.

As residents of Whitton for four years, we never quite found a great local pub that did good food.. until the Admiral Nelson did a refurb.... Out went the sticky seats and drab interiors. In came a quality Thai restaurant and a decent pub with a good selection of beers and friendly staff. We visited the restaurant tonight for the first time and found authentic Thai food with lots of choice and great service to accompany it. We will definitely be back, this time with friends and family in tow.

Recently refurbished and new management which has significantly updated this establishment. Thai food is excellent and the new landlord is friendly and intent on creating a great atmosphere and place to go in Whitton.

I never ate in here today, so I can't rank it. Always liked this pub over the years. In my opinion. it's never been better than it is at the moment.

We headed down as they have been refurbished and new team and certainly weren't disappointed. It is a totally different atmosphere and looks really nice now. The Thai food was delicious - so good we forgot to take photos. Definitely will be going back.

We went to The Admiral Nelson and the food was incredible. We shared the chilli & squid to start… squid was cooked to perfection and the batter was divine! We had the Beef Salad… so fresh and tender! Yum! I had the Chilli & Basil with Tofu…. the flavour and spices were heavenly, with a good amount of heat! Service was great, and the care paid to whether there are allergies is commendable. Thank you to a cracking team at The Admiral Nelson - we are so happy that the pub is back to being a local friendly place to go to. We will be back! ❤️

We went three days after the new renovation. New decor, new management, new staff and new food concept with Thai food. Service was fantastic and friendly from the whole team. Food was cooked to order, fresh with bags of flavour. They also now actively encourage families. Huge upgrade on all fronts. In our opinion has converted from just a rugby pub to now a destination pub. We definitely recommend going out of your way for a visit.

Went to the "soft launch" of the pub after a major refit. They have changed the food offering into a Thai Kitchen which was excellent. There were a few teething problems and a few snagging issues to deal with but the team were great and managed everything without getting flustered or frustrated. It is so good to finally have a friendly, attentive manager in place who understands Fullers and more importantly focuses his and his staff's attention on their customers. For too many years this pub was neglected and unfriendly but last night was excellent. If you - like me - felt disappointed over the last few years and had stopped visiting I encourage you to give it another go. The refurb has been undertaken in a sympathetic way to make everything clean and fresh without reinventing the wheel. the framed pictures around the pub reflect the historic connection to the pub's name and the proximity to the Rugby stadium. The new menu is quite small but everything we tried was delicious. Well done Chris and the team - it really feels like the Nelly has a new life!!

Recently held a milestone birthday party in The Lady Hamilton room. Thoroughly enjoyed our evening particularly as the staff were so obliging allowing the hosts to conduct a silent disco as part of our celebrations. Thankyou to the staff and Chris for their positive contribution to a wonderful evening.

Spent NY's eve here, best night I've had in a pub for a while. New management has helped this pub to become a very nice place to eat, drink & get merry. Went back for drinks & bar snacks a week later, it still gets 5 stars.

Chris & Nikita couldn’t do enough to ensure our night was perfect in every way. From the moment our group arrived this evening for a birthday celebration, despite it being NYE, th staff were attentive and ensured we were all catered for. Special shout out to Chris who was most hospitable. A pub we’d never usually go to, despite it being up the road… most pleasant experience and can’t wait to return in the new year. Went there for a Sunday dinner yesterday had to wait over an hour for food,but had great service and patience from autumn if it wasn't for her I probably would have left and gone somewhere else.

This is my local pub and I love it. Perfect spot to stop for a drink and also watch some sports.

The staff here are so friendly and accommodating, it is lovely to walk into a place like that. We had a birthday party for my partner and they all helped to set up the area. The atmosphere is brilliant. They have huge screens for the sport which is a plus. I couldn't recommend this pub more if you fancy good service and a relaxed sit down with drinks and friends 😀

Nice simple place. I was service well, however, as a first time customer, the bar man could have greeted me with a smile (he didn't 🙄). He got my order right, however on close inspection of the glass he gave my companion it was very dirty, lots of water stains, that was very dark. I wanted to take it back for a fresh one 😩, she said no. Thank goodness for the paper straw. My glass was much better than hers.

We popped in after the Army V Navy rugby game. I found the place good fun and good service in such a big crowd.

Popped in on my way to a match at Twickenham, 6 pints £49, that is not London pricing it is theft. I will advise anyone to avoid this establishment

Popped in here after seeing my friend in the local care home. What an amazing find! Although it was busy, it was peaceful, quiet, and people were acting respectfully. I’d forgotten that pubs can be this way. The young lady who served me (Honey) was lovely. I had a burger and chips – really enjoyed it, and the Guinness was first class. I live down the road in Twickenham, but this pub knocks the spots off all of them. Friendly, warm, good service, nice food, and reasonable prices. What more could you want? Give it a go.

5 stars! it's TW2 which makes it Twickenham! it's middle-class heartland! In this end of London, it's regarded as somewhat a status symbol symbol to be seen at the bar, on a friday evening, sipping on a babysham out of a champagne coupe glass. Elegance and sophistication.

Have enjoyed a fabulous Sunday roast here & the venue holds great, regular events like gigs, karaoke and the Admiral Nelson Open Mics, on the first & third Tuesdays, from 7pm (pictured).

This pub needs a major change in mangerment and giving good service. To many bad reviews from local people who have suffered from over priced beer and poor quality food.
