The Admiral in Brighton and Hove

This is a little gem. It has a nice design to the pub with little nooks. It also has a lovely outside area.

Amazing night!!! free pool every day, darts and all sorts of board games, came for the football the atmosphere was too good to leave at the final whistle, heated hidden garden area out back, a mixture of students regulars with local tales and comedians that on the brink of an o2 Apollo debut , and absolute must when in Brighton!!

Lovely pub. Would highly recommend. Pool table, darts and the game toads are all free for customers which is great. Staff are always pleasant and lovely. Especially the bartender called toby, he’s very welcoming and just generally a sound person.

The greatest pub I have ever been to. It is well priced on a bad day, but with the free pizza on a Monday and Tuesday it is a no brainier. This is not even considering the £4 doubles prices on a Friday. 10/10 would come again all the time etc

Without a doubt the best pub in Brighton. Staff have great bants, the pizza deserves a Michelin star, great drink options, free pool/darts/toads and the owner is sexy as hell. What’s not to love!

Stopped here for a pint whilst at Brighton pride, very reasonable prices, excellent vibes, and loved all the sports on the screens! Don't usually see halfpipe skiing in a pub!

the landlord stole food right from my gob! he opened my face hole with his big meaty hands and GRABBED MY GIZZARDS! this doesn’t please him

Upon arrival, there was no greeting. Instead of informing us of the price, it was simply displayed on the card machine. There were no polite words like "please" or "thank you." The bartender in shorts appeared disinterested and unwelcoming. While the terrace is nice, the establishment lacks basic hospitality essentials in my opinion.

Lovely pub with a "not so secret" garden. Pizza is good and service very friendly. The only downside is the amount of TV screens showing sport. Of course, if you love sport then this is great. Just not for me.

A lovely beer garden in the back, and a nice area out the front (benches are a bit wobbly) with great sun exposure. Deals on Monday and Tuesday with pizza are always worth a try as the fresh pizza is solid.

Had a lil redevelopment since I was last here (years ago). It has become a great social hangout with a garden and many pub games on offer, toad, darts, pool, beer pong/games. Pizza is also on offer, which I've been told is decent.

They've got a pool table n not only that, it's pink which is super cool. Also chess boards which are printed onto some of the tables. I just got a Carling , think it was 4.95. Cool pub

It was a nice pub although the furniture was a little basic. A good choice of beers and the service was good.

It was very quiet here.. my friend and I were in company with two other punters. Staff were really friendly and both knew the importance of pouring a guiness. Surprisingly little foot traffic for where it is.. to be fair there was live music etc in neighbouring bars

Good value cocktails early on a Friday evening at a fiver a pop. We had a daiquiri and a mojito which were ok. The inside bar was pretty empty although I could see plenty out in the garden. The computer jukebox is a good idea although I couldn't get it working on my phone.

I booked an area at Shuffle for my birthday last weekend. Its a lovely little bar, great staff, lovely little outside area :) but I was disappointed with the music. I think there needs to be a lot more choice, its what brought me to your bar and it was actually the only thing that left my disappointed. Just thought I would give this constructive criticism as everything else was great :)

Was at The Admiral tonight and although it was quiet, it was a great vibe. I can't recommend this up and coming pub enough!

Think there is a new landlord here and it was really nice staff were very welcoming there's big screens to watch sport and I think they are doing food too (pizza manly I think ) I will definitely be going back for a pint and a slice of pizza

Flat mixers from the gun. Uncomfortable bench seats. Strange seating generally. Games in the box on the tables is a good idea.

Las tartas veganas son una necesidad de probar; tan sabroso (y no soy vegano). Pub muy acogedor junto con un personal amable y servicial.

Llegamos a un acuerdo para comer pasteles veganos, puré, patatas fritas, guisantes y salsa. también tenemos Chutney. Comida genial y lo recomiendo encarecidamente

Después de hacer algunos de los pubs en el distrito Hanover de Brighton, debido a su inclusión en el GBG, decidimos desviarnos para tomar el Almirante en nuestro camino de regreso a la estación de tren. Tristemente, este no lo hizo por mí, pero me pregunto si lo visitamos en el momento correcto. Tal vez en una noche veraniega cuando hay muchos lugareños que utilizan el área decente del jardín interior o cuando hay muchos estudiantes en una de las muchas noches de música en vivo, este lugar tiene una sensación diferente al respecto. Pero con solo un par carecía tanto de atmósfera como carecía de la opción de ale de las seis bombas manuales que cubren la barra principal.  Me gustó el interior tradicional y cualquier pub que se centre en la música y tiene una pantalla de vinilo en las paredes me da una buena nota, pero esto fue evitado por la mala cerveza que se muestra en las bombas disponibles. Solo dos Hammerpot Double Helix y Titanic Plum Porter estaban en dos de las seis bombas manuales y el resto no se usaron. Afortunadamente, Plum Porter es una de mis cervezas favoritas, pero tengo que decir que he tenido mejores pintas de esta excelente cerveza. Con unos pocos y una mejor selección de cerveza, este podría ser un pub desvencijado. Lamentablemente no fue para nuestra visita.

Decidimos ir con nuestros hijos a probar la comida caribeña / jamaicana el viernes por la noche. Fuimos por una mezcla idiota a los 15 años, pensé que era bastante empinada, pero esperaba al menos un tamaño de porción decente. Cuando llegó, no he estado tan decepcionado con una comida por algún tiempo. Debemos señalar que solemos hacer el viaje a Londres para obtener nuestras patadas alimentarias en el Caribe, donde los precios son mucho más bajos y las porciones son de naturaleza caribeña también. Llegó el arroz que se había caído de un recipiente de estilo para llevar y claramente se había calentado en el microondas, era una porción diminuta también, servido con unas pocas piezas de pollo y probablemente 1 - 2 oz de carne de cerdo si había 3 onzas de carne. se sorprendería Salimos con hambre y francamente nos sentimos estafados. La parte superior la carne era sabrosa, como lo eran las albóndigas es solo el tamaño de la porción del precio del versículo significaba que nunca volveríamos, en cuanto al arroz, cocínelo fresco y al menos trate de presentarlo con un poco de brillo. Dos estrellas premiadas porque las porciones eran pequeños precios en los niveles altos, dos lotes de música que tocaban reggae y pop se superponían unos a otros, lo que realmente molestaba a los pobres y los aseos realmente sucios también.

My friends and I went here for a few drinks the other night. Another friend had been told that the food was really good, so we thought we would pop in to check the place out. Its really nice inside and they have an awesome new outdoor area. Despite not planning to eat the smell of the food was too much and we ordered after staying longer than planned. We weren't disappointed, it was all absolutely delicious! We all tried different things and everyone really enjoyed their meals. So glad a great place to eat has appeared locally and we will definitely go back to eat there regularly. Highly recommend!
