Fantastic pub went in for a couple of pints a little while ago and Sam I think behind the bar was telling me all about the beers they had and the history of the place. Made sure I felt very welcome 5 star pub

Popped in for a quick pint with my son, Ben, while out for a walk along the canal. This was in the afternoon, so only a handful of people inside. We sat outside in the beer garden area, which unfortunately was full of empty beer kegs. Otherwise we enjoyed the walk and the pint.🍺🍺😀👍

Staff are very friendly! We had a walk this morning & got there for when it opened. Food was great & have a variety of ciders/beers/ales. Prices are also reasonable! £12 for a pint of Lilleys cider, a pint of Coors & pint of coke. We also had a BLT which came to £5 (but can upgrade and have chips for an extra £2) The staff were also great with our dogs too & gave them a little beefy treat.

Honestly wasn't expecting much from this pub when I walked up to it on a damp windy Nov evening... How wrong was I! The landlord was very welcoming, the pub was warm and spacious, and lots of conversation going on. The drinks were well priced and a decent selection, even a drink and treat for my woof. There wasn't food on the Wednesday night that we visited, but we got takeout after we had our fill!

This is how pubs were when I was a kid! Good selection of beers and thankfully darker beers available rather than just the in vogue, hoppy/fuity IPAs which are over running British beer at the minute... Went in with our 10 month old baby and the landlord came over to the table with some toys for him which was very much appreciated and a nice touch. Definitely will be back!

I rang twice to confirm that the pub was wheelchair friendly. Based on their assurance, four of us went with view to having a late lunch. When asked, one member of staff said that the Gents toilet is for the disabled, which it isn't. Another member of staff confirmed that they didn't have a disabled toilet, Having already bought a round of drinks, we then left for obvious reasons! If you are wheelchair bound, do not go to this pub.

A very busy and popular pub, over 2 levels with a bar at street level and another on lower ground floor accessed via the car park and beer garden. During our visit the cricket had been abandoned due to heavy rain so an influx of customers but the staff seemed to cope really well. My husband was disappointed that no guiness served but there were a couple of stouts he tried instead, one good and one band, this was exchanged without a quibble. A huge range of beers on offer which pleased all our group.

We often walk along the canal but we’d not stopped here before. I am really pleased we did as the staff, beer garden and the lovely jubilee themed outdoor BBQ was a winner with us on a warm and sunny day. Drinks were decently priced (apple juice, 3 large coke’s and pint of bitter) - £16. The BBQ outside was really good. My boys all enjoyed their freshly cooked hotdogs, burgers and chips. We stayed for a good hour before heading back along the canal. We will be back.

I specifically came here for lunch because I enjoyed my last lunch here. Again I was very impressed. I had the smashed burger which didn't disappoint. The burger was juicy and delicious (I added blue cheese and onion rings) the onion rings were fresh, the batter was crisp, the chips crunchy on the outside and fluffy inside and the fresh slaw was tasty and lightly dressed. The chef obviously cooks with passion and with an attention to detail not only in taste and with flavour combinations but also with the presentation.

Always come to this pub in summer time with my family and it's a lovely pub but disappointed on the Sunday service with food today. We booked a table for 2.30 and yes I get it was very busy but to be waiting well over and hour and half for food is not acceptable. We asked how long our food was going to be to be told I will find out and be told it wouldn't be long. In the mean time other customers that got there quite a while after us got their food first? Clearly I think they forgot about our order at that point. If that was the case why not just tell us that? I understand mistakes happen. In all fairness the food was ok just would like to be told what's going on.

I re-visited this local diamond yesterday and after months of absence I was surprised to find that things had changed for the better. The variation and selection of beer was more than I could handle. My other half particularly enjoyed Cider and well, here they had it all. Our children were also well looked after. Amazing taste, Old Rosie for the person who enjoys the old style and Katy which was a new addition. More of an ale person I chose the Leffe, pure bliss, price was cheap. Dog Friendly and the children were thrilled. Considering the Bridge was charging £5.80 here only £4. Enjoyed the Fish and Chips which were excellent quality - the staff always went out of there way to make you feel welcome.

Always enjoy coming here for breakfast as a treat whilst I'm here at the film festival. However, I was disappointed that the kippers has been dropped from the menu as I love kippers and it was only place in Leeds that I could find that serve it. I did in the end go for the full English which was very nice. Service was very welcoming and professional and the vibe is always so classy. If you want that 5* review, the kippers need to make a return for my visit next year.
