A great menu of lunchtime meals starting at £5. Comfortable chairs and tables in a restaurant holding about 100 diners. Food was hot and well presented. Sunday lunch is a carvery with a choice of meats and vegetables plus hot and cold puddings.

Had Sunday lunch, fantastic meal. Good old fashioned cooking, one of our best Sunday lunches we've had out. Lovely friendly atmosphere in lovely surroundings. Nice beer, nice wine, and a nice roll up afterwards in the bowls club, made for a lovely afternoon. Very attentive staff. Well done.

Enjoyed a good home cooked meal in the restaurant of the indoor bowls club. Lovely bright restaurant welcoming staff great value for money. Only £5 for a lunch and £1 for a mug of coffee. Who could ask for more on a cold windy afternoon. Will definitely make another visit.

They often have a special on offer for the day and the beers are reasonably priced but watch the opening times as sometimes seem to make them up as they go along but very nice staff

Not many people know that this is open to the general public who are most welcome. The food is all cooked on site by an excellent chef . The restaurant overlooks the sea and grassy slopes. The bar area overlooks the bowling lanes so you can sit and watch the bowling whilst enjoying a coffe or a drink.

Not our first rodeo at this fantastic establishment. A great a-la-carte menu with some typical comfort food choices, but also offer daily specials that are creative and very tasty. Today we enjoyed Haddock & Chorizo croquettes, Deep fried Brie with Cranberry sauce, Pork Tenderloin with Bubble ‘n Squeak and Black Pudding, Sea Bass fillet with Prawns & Tempura King Prawn, Ribeye Steak with Peppercorn sauce, Mushrooms and Chunky Chips.

In a tiny kitchen the chef conjured up a bowl of delicious bean and vegetable soup. It was a generous portion served with chunks of toasted sourdough bread and piping hot. Just what we needed after the chill of a November day. The little restaurant is in a quirky indoor market opposite the Turner gallery on the sea front.

Popped in on a quiet weekday afternoon. Really good prices on drinks and food. The pizzas were epic. The lady working there was really friendly and the service was great.
