Thaihee Korean Restaurant in Liverpool

Staffs were kind. Unfortunately, it was very different from korean authentic style, mixed with chinese style I believe. No high chair or no access for wheelchair. Both my partner and I got mild food poisoning after having this meal ( we had late lunch and skipped dinner, got belly pain next morning).

I order food from this place at least once a week and have done for years. The Orleans fried rice, kimbap and kimchi are the best ive ever had. This place is wonderful

Good food, a bit of a lack of atmosphere in the restaurant.

Went here as a family with an elderly and toddler to dine in. The sitting area is in the basement, and there's no kids chair. Ordered many foods, some were tasty but some were bland. Asked extra bowls, but waited so long then had to go upstair to get it by myself. A bit pricey, but enough portion.

We have been regular customers at Thaihee Korean Restaurant for a while now, consistently enjoying the good food and generally good service. Unfortunately, our recent visit was quite disappointing due to the behavior of the new cashier. While deciding whether to eat in or take out, my partner and I were discussing our options, considering that the restaurant was not busy, and we were the only customers. The cashier, however, seemed impatient and used a high tone to ask us for our decision, which was unnecessary and rude. Later, when she inquired about how many chopsticks we needed, I answered “two,” but she didn’t hear me and once again raised her voice. This level of service is unacceptable, especially for regular customers who have supported the restaurant over time. We are really unhappy with the way we were treated and regret to say that Thaihee Korean Restaurant has lost valued customers due to this poor service. We hope the management addresses this issue to prevent other loyal patrons from having a similar experience.

Thaihee is a splendid little gem offering authentic Korean cuisine. The kimbap, bibimbap, and fried rice are all delectable, but the cold noodles are an absolute standout! Each dish is a delightful experience of genuine Korean flavours. The service is impeccable and the atmosphere is both clean and inviting. Thoroughly recommend this place to any Korean food enthusiasts!

The best choice for Korean food in Liverpool. I have been here many times. I tried Super meat floss kimbap which I definitely would order it again. Hot pot is quite a smart choice for a couple. Ratten pepper chicken fried rice is always a good option for lunch. The service is quite good. Strongly recommend it to all of you who visit or live in Liverpool.

One of my favourite restaurants, it has a small menu but every item on it is delicious, not too spicy but quite filling. I would say the atmosphere is lacking only because it's such a hidden gem. So it can be rather quiet. Korean food might not be everyone's first idea for Asian food. But to anyone who hasn't tried Korean I can heartily recommend it. It easily ranks up there with Japanese and I'd argue slightly above chinese for me personally.

I had Korean fried chicken and black pepper chicken bibimbap , Korean chicken was really good but the bibimbap was okish. Staff was very nice

came here twice & it's pretty convenient for me to grab a lunch since it's quite close to uni of liv. i've only been trying the bibimbap (kimchi & beef) which are great! the beef bibimbap is slightly more expensive than the rest and i found it to be less spicier than the kimchi bibimbap. the portion is definitely enough for a person, especially if you're drinking something as well. they have a variety of different drinks from korea and even some soft drinks. the staffs i've seen are very nice and friendly, both of them told me that the beef bibimbap doesn't have the gochujang sauce, which i thought to be a nice gesture to inform me. the environment is cosy & small though i would say that the white light can ruin the cosiness a bit. it's nice to come in alone once in a while to have a decent meal for lunch. note: not wheelchair friendly because it has lots of stairs & tight spaces!!

Food was too oily. Far from authentic cuisine considering bibimbaap. Fried rice with cheese was good.

My friend and I ordered £42 worth of food at Thaihee Korean restaurant in Liverpool, only to find it lacking in authenticity. Notably, the La Galbi lacked proper marination, crucial for enhancing the meat's flavor. Additionally, the Soontofu stew failed to meet expectations, as it should ideally be cooked with chili oil. Overall, the dining experience left much to be desired, pointing towards a need for improvements in preparation techniques and adherence to authentic Korean recipes.

The restaurant itself was okay inside, it was quite small with seating being downstairs and inside there’s not a lot to it. It could do with more decoration inside to enhance the authenticity. The food was very nice not the best Korean food I had but was quite good but I do wish that the portion size was bigger. Reasonably priced and good variety of international drinks to try out. Service was good and the food came at a decent speed just wish they gave a bigger portion as it was tasty and I did enjoy it. Would say it is worth a try

Loved the food here. Sat in downstairs for the first time as normally have takeaway. It was delicious!! The server recommended the special and I'm so glad she did. Everything was full of flavour and plentiful. Great value and excellent taste. Would highly recommend

Price is high, quality is quite good but the taste is honestly terrible. I’m literally so hungry and I still can’t finish half of a small portion of chicken fried rice.

Awesome Korean food served in sizzling hot plates. Definitely an underrated gem.

My roasted beef rice is tasteless still after I added some salt to it. It looks nice but the quality was quite appalling. The fried chicken isn’t crispy. The spicy beef rice is only spicy with no other flavors to enrich the taste.I can make the shin ramen at home literally. Not really recommend.

It was OK. I've never eaten out for Korean food so I didn't know what to expect. We ordered spicy food but mine wasn't very spicy and it wore off very quickly. Quite expensive.

I don’t like food here…it’s terrible, small portion, and bad taste. It’s NOT a real korean food. I’m waiting for a long time👎 shouldn’t come and eat here.

Food was amazing.. nice staff.... unfortunately all of the tables had uncollected cuttlery and bowls etc so we had to move some to sit down. Buy the food more than made up for this as it was 10/10 delicious. I will eat here again for sure!

As someone who's been to Korea before, I can say this is probably the best and authentic Korean food in the Liverpool area. People should really give this place a chance. I only put 3 for atmosphere due to not many customers in here but the service and food was amazing and deserve more love. Decor was modern and looks really good despite it being below the 1st floor.

if you want authentic delicious korean food, this is the place to go, its my fav place to go, i love the super meatfloss kimbap, ribs and bibimbap. staff are friendly and easy parking.

Pleasant atmosphere and good food

I bought the spicy kimchi shin ramen, super meat floss kimbap and korean grape juice with grape through deliveroo. The spicy kimci shin ramen it was 2/5- bland, no much of a flavour. The super meat floss kimbap was absolutely stunning. It was so good. Ill give it a 4.8/5. I would order it again just for the kimbaps The korean grape juice with grape was good. Buy a lot of them okay guys! Worth it.

bibimbap came without gochujang sauce and had only corn and lettuce as veg, definitely not authentic. the food was disappointing, however the service was nice.

I ordered as take away and I am really disappointed I paid £11.69 and £11.29 for two Bibimbap which had only rice.... there wasn't enough meat, when I eat in the restaurant it's usually different.... The beef portion had a bit more but the chicken was 5 very small pieces. Definitely avoid as take away.

The food was abit underwhelming, ordered a fried rice but the chicken pieces were so small it seem shredded. Also it wasn't as spicy as I thought it would be as there wasn't much kimchi either. But overall the rice is in a good portion and the kimbap is nice.

Unfortunately one of the worst Bibimbaps I’ve had - it was almost flavourless, with next to no meat and vegetables compared to the amount of plain rice. The vegetables were mainly just corn and salad leaves. It came in a nice bowl, but it was way too hot to eat for like 20-30 minutes. If it cost about a quarter of its actual price then I wouldn’t mind but this just wasn’t good enough. The interior is fine, but there are unpacked boxes everywhere and it seemed messy.

Nothing too great, not cheap either

Came here with friends last week. There is actually a part of the open music classroom downstairs. We not only enjoyed the food, but also the music. Thanks to Xingran's performance, we have a new understanding of Eastern and Western instruments. I will definitely come again!

Thaihee Korean is a take-away & eat-inside restaurant located in the downgraded part of the centre of Liverpool. Quickly made Korean food define its character. Thaihee is popular with Koreans as well as locals. Service is friendly and adequate. We came on a Sunday and there were few guests, a so-so sign. Dishes is around £10. We went for Kimchi Soup (spicy) and Orleans Chicken Fries Rice. The food was OK but nothing special. When you are looking for acceptable take-away quality food in a part of town that had its best days long ago, Thaihee is the place for you.

First time eating here and the food is great! Great value too. We had roasted Eel Bibimbap with octopus balls. Only downside is that we had to wait awhile even though we were the only customers that time.

Ordered on deliveroo and was a bit skeptical as I’ve been disappointed by a few “Korean”restaurants before. However was pleasantly surprised and must say the bibimbap was great and really enjoyed it. Hidden gem located on the edge of town. They have a warm seating area downstairs where me and some friends decided to sit and enjoy a meal for 6. We all ordered different meals as well as appetisers. Service was great, food was tasty and everyone left full/ happy. Staff are amazing as well as polite. Even explaining how to correctly cook/enjoy the hotpot we ordered. Will be back.

The venue is tucked away in a not so special location. We almost didn't go in as the entrance looks like a take away fast food shop, but the basement has been converted in to a tidy cosy seated area. The staff are really friendly and helpful The food came fast. I was not overly hungry and only ate miss soup, but it had a few surprises to it. The tofu was super soft and the mushrooms were a hard texture. God knows what else was in it but it was a really nice surprise. Being a month old everything is new and clean. Worth a try especially if you like Asian fast food.

Decent food and reasonable price. It’s more like a fusion of Korean and Chinese food. Korean fried chicken was juicy but the sauce tasted more like Chinese chilli paste rather than authentic Korean chilli paste.

First time eating here and definitely won't be the last 😍 the staff are lovely and the food is delicious, it is also very reasonably priced.

We moved last week and ordered a delivery and it was exquisite. So we decided to order for the second time and try other dishes from their menu. Everything was delicious as the first time! Also on one of the tupperware there was a hand writing note wishing us to Enjoy and have a lovely evening. So thoughtful and kind of them. Will go to their restaurant soon and defo order more delivery for our treat nights x.

This was my first time going at first I was abit unsure but once we ordered the food it was amazing and the customer service was amazing and the owners were so polite and and this including the staff. I would be definitely be coming back and would recommend to many of my friends.

I have eaten here over the past 18 months about 6 times. The owners are friendly and helpful, the service is excellent, and the food is consistently delicious. I have never had even a mediocre meal from here, always top quality. This is why I keep going back. Thank you!

Delicious korean dishes. A wee bit pricey but definitely worth it. Quite surprised by the modern interior downstairs when the shopfront doesn't look that inviting. Friendly staff and cool playlist.

Beautiful food, very fresh and full of flavour. Ordered the pepper chicken bibimbap, vegetarian miso soup, and kimchi kimbap. We enjoyed it thoroughly - great to have such a good Korean restaurant around the corner from us. We look forward to coming again :)

Spent £34 and had the worst korean I ever have in my life. The crab sushi roll has no crab in it. Added extra beef in my kimchi fried rice but turns out I need to zoom in10x to spot the beef out. No Kimchi taste at all and it was fried with peas. Gyozas were served with Thai sweet sour sauce and I doubted whether I went to a Thai or korean lol

We ordered delivery from deliveroo. My partner had been desperately wanting to get a good bibimbap in the city for years and has been disappointed so many times. Not today! Both our mains (black pepper bibimbap and cumin beef kimbap) were awesome. We also got both chicken and vegetable dumplings which were perfectly cooked and super tasty. Everything was reasonably priced and portions were generous. Only thing we were disappointed by was being sent plastic knives and forks with the delivery instead of chopsticks. Highly recommended!!!

was welcomed by friendly staffs when walked in. Menu offers reasonable selection of Korean dishes. I picked the fried beef roll Bibimbap and disappointed as it's not very Korean. The dish consisted of some frozen beef slicse cooked with some sauces on rice with random lettuce and sweet corn and was too peppery. Can't judge a restaurant by just one order, so overall it's not great, not terrible. Worth a try??
