Thai express in Liverpool

The food was delicious and the service excellent. My wife has always worried about Thai restaurants as she is vegetarian and can't eat fish sauce, but the waitress was very good in checking that the dish she had was suitable for vegetarians. We will definitely be going back.

This place actually does real authentic Thai! Definitely the best in liverpool the flavours are spot on! Price a little high as rice doesn't come with the meals, but doubt you'll get a more authentic Thai than here! Tom Yum soup, dumplings, pad thai and pad krapow was as soo tasty and spot on! U won't regret eating here!

Food was hot and fresh but at £18.45 for Pad Krapow and rice (takeaway) it’s priced a little steep. (Would’ve been £20 with delivery) I saw the menu and assumed that at £14.50 rice would be included.i didn’t find out until I arrived to pick up my meal that rice was an extra £4! I’ve had equally as good and even better at half the price. I wish them every success but maybe they should consider reducing the prices slightly for takeaway.

Travelled around Thailand the past 4 years and I’ve honestly never had a pad see ew as nice as this . The food is authentic and delicious amd it’s our new fave place to eat

This place is great been few times now, had pad thai and udon noodles the udon noodles very spicy but so good, last time I went i had chicken fried rice which was lovely. I'll be there again soon. Highly recommend this place.

This was a take out. We didn't get the right amount of spring rolls and the pancakes for the duck were all stuck together. (again! ) Otherwise all the food tasted great.

One of the worse Pad Thais I've ever had. It was a bright orange / red colour, too much fish sauce, overcooked noodles that clumped together and the peanuts were burnt. Delivery within timeframe stated, luke warm on arrival.

Food was lovely, big let down was the waitress was doing the job of about 3 people and couldn’t keep up the amount of customers. Also young child of owner through an iPhone which hit me and also Lego, there was no apology from staff or owner, really rude, this does let down the restaurant massively when your going out for a nice relaxing meal Reply No your member of staff never she said thank you for the phone not sorry so I havnt had one apology. And yes as a mum I do many things, so when I want to go out for a quite meal I do not expect children to be lashing phones and toys at the table

This place is stunning. The ribs are the best in the world. By far. You need to try them. I can see some negative reviews for the delayed delivery, and yes, last time I did have to wait much longer than expected, but, the food was hot and fresh.

Ordered a delivery, it took over 2 hours to arrive and half the order was missing. They said they would send the rest but it never arrived. Very disappointing.

We came here for dinner and we liked it a lot. Its a Very cozy place, quiet and relaxing. They have plenty of options on the menu, pretty much everything. We ordered some spicy noodles with beef and curry chiken I don't remember properly the name but we loved it. The food was on point, the portions are great, the flavours delicious. We been to plenty of thai places and we have never tried these dishes with the spices they use. We will be back to try the other items!. We love to try new and tasty foods. Heavy scan. From the sign outside it looked like abit of a late night takeaway gaff. But I was wrong. The decor inside is so nice. Food was on point. We went abit overboard with our order but it was worth it. Definitely makin this one of my regular date spots

Food was 10 out of 10. Authentic pad thai and curry had lots of flavour. Salt and pepper ribs are the best I’ve ever had, so much meat on them and great taste. Reasonably priced and quick, definitely the nicest thai take away in Liverpool.

We only got 4 spring rolls instead of 5, the crispy duck was burned, the sauce so thin it was like black water and the pancakes only half cooked.😣 Having said that all the other food: red curry, egg fried rice, prawn spring rolls, s&p chicken were very tasty. 😋 I will try this place again to give it another chance especially as the owner is so nice. Also it would be good if they did a vegetarian platter.

Weird place, won't deliver because we are 0.2 miles outside their delivery zone. Had multiple 'debates' with their staff over the phone about this and they've provided zero customer service as many have suggested in these reviews. The food is great however as we regularly order we know how they're really inconsistent. They mess up by either forgetting dips, prawn crackers or changing a pad thai dish from chicken to prawns without telling you. Won't be ordering again for a very long time, seems its been going downhill for a while but really is now not worth the effort of collecting or dealing with the staff.

Thai Cuisine Express cannot be beat. Sit in or Take away. Absolute Gold.

For me, this isrobably the best Thai restaurant in Liverpool. Authentic Thai food, freshly prepared with quality ingredients. Spice level to die for:) The flavours of the chicken larb and the som tam were really well balanced. Service was impeccable and price very reasonable

What a nice little gem of a place. Great food, lovely service. Small intimate place that packs a punch with great food. Would recommend to book as most tables where reserved. It's definitely a place to visit for foodies.

Ordered food for pickup. Just sat for 30 mins longer than it said, then arrived home and my kids food wasn’t in the order. They never answered the phone so I started driving back, but thought mine would go cold and ruined too. Disappointing service.

Over 45mins late according to thier delivery time. Phoned and it was suggested we pick up the order as it will take who knows how much longer. No attempt to offer any discount or apology. We are unable to pick up with a poorly child. Shame but we will not use the place again.

We ordered a take away which said it would take 50 minutes to arrive. Over 2 hours later we still hadn’t received our food despite being told when I called an hour earlier that the food was on the way. We didn’t receive any sort of apology during any of the phone calls and eventually asked for a refund. The food never arrived. Do not order from this restaurant.

Top class thai food, authentic and very tasty. The restaurant is quite small and intimate and the parking outside is plentiful. Price was mid-range but excellent value as the food was great. Very clean. Brilliant.

The soup was lovely, chilli, lemongrass and great fresh ingredients, the Singapore Noddles on the other hand were greasy and had egg in it! If I had known it had egg in it I would not have ordered it. Could have got the same chepper at the local chippy. It spoled it for me.

Won't be back out of principle, 3rd time here, the Tom yum was nice but not as good as last time. Rice main was greasy, side of egg fried rice which is usually lovely was tasteless. We still probably would have come back as we enjoyed the Tom yum so much in the past but we spent over £200 and we're charged for cardboard take out boxes to take the food we had already paid for home, which I thought restaurants preferred to reduce food waste. Disappointed. In response the owner...the food we didn't like was left half eaten and the rice went in the bin. Just saying it's changed take feed back well and it can help you.

Came across this place by accident whilst working in the area.So pleased I did the food is amazing ! So good I ate there for both nights I was in the area. Staff were super helpful in catering for my intolerances. Would recommend to all and look forward to working in the area again so I can go back this little gem.

I think this is best Thai I have ever had, the fish cakes were so fragrant and tasty, the Tom yum soup was a explosion of flavours, very hot as it's supposed to be but highly addictive to eat. Ordered online for pickup. Took exact money to pay as indicated on the email receipt. Went to pay and told 50pence more... some silly transaction fee on the receipt that wasn't indicated on the email receipt. Told to go to local cash machine which I did and paid £2 transaction fee to withdraw cash. Shocking service. Food was cold due to the messing about. Never again. Found a decent Thai restaurant in L8 called iThai... absolutely amazing food. No messing about there!

Great meal. We had a takeaway that I collected. The greatting was very welcoming and the food was just what I expected to get the was warm. I thought the pricing was very fair for the pricing. 👌

Paid for delivery upfront. Said it would be 1hr. Between 1.5 to 2 hours tried relentlessly to call the restaurant to understand what was going on. At 2hrs, drove to the restaurant, was told it had just gone for delivery. No apology. When asked why they hadn't been answering the phone for the past 30 mins, was told that they were busy. Again, no apology. Food arrived at 2.5 hours after order and we live a ten minute drive from the restaurant. Food was cold when it arrived

Long story short, very good food but one main dish (out of 4) was incorrect, delivery was slow and delayed and staff have a disgusting attitude to customer service. After waiting 60 minutes (inc a 15 minute delay), I thought called and requesting the correct dish be sent wouldn’t be a huge issue. Unfortunately, the gentleman I spoke to proceeded over three calls to imply I was lying that the dish was wrong, requested the (wrong) dish was collected to prove it was wrong and blame us for the mistake. The email receipt clearly stated prawn for that dish but we received four chicken dishes - I’m not a chef but I know the difference between the two. I’m not sure why this was an issue and why after spending £75 they would think people would try an get an extra ‘free’ dish but with hundreds of (cheaper) options around Liverpool, my money will go elsewhere in the future. Speak to your customers with some respect.

One of the best Thai meals I've ever tasted the pad tai was an original taste of Thailand it was delicious 😋 I will be returning to try the rest of menu , friendly staff nothing was too much trouble xxx

Best Thai restaurant in Liverpool!

One of the best Thai cuisine that we have tasted for a long while. We have tried Thai food in many cities in England but this one won our hearts. The green curry was superb as well as the sea bass with lemon and Thai sauce. Prawn crackers and Duck were great too. Staff are very pleasant and setting is authentic. Overall a great dining experience.

Authentic thai food as you would get in Thailand. A cosy little place with Great staff, lovely cocktails. Every town should have one of these places.

We had stopped ordering Thai after visiting the country a year ago as the food here was always disappointing. The food from this restaurant is absolutely delicious and authentic. Everything we have ordered has been excellent! I would definitely recommend it, if you want to know what Thai food tastes like - order here!

We are big fans of their food and order at least once month. The meals are always delicious and the ribs are the best I have ever had. What is annoying though is that every time we order they always (at least the last 5 times we have ordered) they add 45mins to the delivery time. This means we order for “ASAP” at 8:15pm (advertised as 45 min wait) the get message to say 45 min late and then add another 15mins and it arrives just before 10pm when we’re too annoyed to enjoy the food as much as we’d like.

Having had great food before from here, ordered pad thai and chicken Pha-Naeng. The Pha-Naeng was fantastic, however the pad thai was awful, a strange orange gloopy mess like no pad thai you've ever seen before. Delivery took well over 2 hours. Driver half mumbled a sorry but was on his phone to another customer telling them he's on his way. Great shame as have had some wonderfull food from here before but won't bother again as its gone downhill. Wish i'd read the other reviews.

Ordered a Tom Kha Gai soup last night. Can honestly say it was barely edible. It was FULL of very hard pieces of lemongrass stalks, which should of course have been removed. I counted over 30 in one portion! There were also a couple of chicken bones. The other dishes were fine, but that soup......ugghh! Slapdash and unprofessional. I could have made a better one myself, with a lot more care taken. Don't get it.

Food has been nice previously but on this occasion the online Booking system told me 20 to 30 minutes until payment was taken and then it increased to over an hour. Will not order via Yoyo again.

This is so delicious, honestly really great quality food. I always factor in an extra 40-60 minute wait at busy times. But through the week theyre really quick and the food is just so full of flavour, its so worth the wait.

Just had yet another fabulous takeaway, (lovely friendly staff and ombience when this small resteraunt is open to dine in) good size portions, good choice and amazing food, so tasty. We love Thai food and have tried a few places but this is by far the best.

Delicious food. Very well prepared. Found it to be fresh and well prepared. The premises was very clean and had a lovely relaxed atmosphere to it. The staff were very nice. They seemed to be a small family business which we should all support.

This is my favourite place in south Liverpool! It’s a small family run business that take pride in every one of their dishes! Every time we order from here, we are always impressed and can never fault any of it. Quality ingredients are used and the herbs and spices used are as authentic as you can get! Portions are massive and fab value for money! I can’t wait for lockdown to end so we can come back to dine in! My favourite dishes include the special ribs which come wrapped in banana leaves and the seafood Tom yum soup is gorgeous if you can handle abit of spice!

This is the third time Thai Express Aigburth has let us down with delivery, they give a time and then add on an hour plus without notifying you. The staff are clearly very busy as the food is good but misleading customers is not on and when you ring very little customer care given. We are off to Mays Kitchen Park Road much better value, try it.

This is hard to review. I ordered through Deliveroo and it took nearly 2 hours to arrive. I was so annoyed as we were really hungry but the food was amazing. So, minus 10 for delivery, plus 10’for food. Maybe go direct next time?
