I wouldn’t normally leave a review even if I had a bad time but I had to take the time to leave this one. I was out for some food with my mrs on Saturday, we found out some bad news didn’t really want to go but so happy we did. We was served by the wonderful Warwick. Not only made us feel so comfortable but he recognised something was up and made it his mission to make our night even more special. People like Warwick and so important for hospitality. So thank you Warwick.

A fabulous per- valentines meal- food was exceptional- but what made our night was our waiter Warick- an absolute professional in every manner- all in all a wonderful night- we will definitely return!

It was our 1 year anniversary thought we would treat ourselves going for bottomless drinks and food on a Saturday night. First on arrival table wasn’t ready we were 5 minutes early 20:25 and the table was at 20:30. We then were seated and after had to wait 15 minutes to get an order for our drinks. I then went to order a cocktail and they said they were out, this then led us both to order two glasses of white wine. After this we were waiting a further 10 minutes no drinks to be found at this point I was very annoyed and upset because I wanted to have a special night for our 1 year. This led us to walk out with still no drinks. Not worth the money to go, if I could recommend any bottomless brunch in liverpool it would be revolution de cuba. We were spoilt there! Whereas in mamasan you will be waiting over 30 minutes for 1 glass of white wine!!!

Went for a birthday bottomless brunch and it was very very good. Great value for money and the drinks kept coming. There was a lovely atmosphere and very big thank to our server Warwick!!!!!! He was lovely and attentive with drinks and recommendations.

Wawrick went above and beyond. This is the first time me and my friends have been here, and we'll definitely be coming back again. I went to Mamasan for my anniversary with my partner as I had been years before and remember the food being incredible, however, this was not the case this time around. On arrival there was loud dance music being played for the bottomless brunch on the ground floor, which you could still here from the balcony where we were sat. For starters, I had the Thai Fried Chicken which was so tough that I spent a long time trying to cut it up as I was unable bite through it. My partner had the crispy chilli squid which he said was nice. For mains, I had the massaman smoked shortrib curry which both my partner and I had to cut up using joint effort as the meat was again tough. My partner had the luxury pad thai which he found underwhelming. I was disappointed by my experience here, and the two stars is purely for the polite waiters and the pretty décor upstairs.

Not the best experience all round. Food quality wasn’t great and certainly wasn’t worth the price. Our seats were tucked up the corner next to the tills, which didn’t give the best atmosphere / ambience either. Disappointed

We visited tonight on 23rd December, expecting it to be busy being 2 days before Christmas. It was dead only one other couple on there. Very Instagram-able decor and clean. Felt quite rushed with the waiter. I can’t drink alcohol or have fizzy drinks so my options were tap water or tap water 😂 We ordered salt and pepper chicken starter, wok fried greens in chilli and sesame oil, luxury pad Thai and some prawn crackers. Prawn crackers - no issues. Salt and pepper chicken - wasn’t piping hot in temperature so made me wary to eat, but the temperature in the spice was ridiculous, neither of us could eat it. That much chilli you couldn’t taste the flavour. Wok fried greens - it was okay, but lacking in flavour, we expected strong sesame and a hint of chilli but nothing really! Pad Thai - husband said it was alright, but not £19 worth of alright. We asked for no peanuts due to an intolerance and they came out with it on, so that had to go back and be re done. Overall, felt quite over priced and I’ll be honest, I’d have preferred a Wagamamas.

Avoid was here last night Food well below average tasted like it was reheated left overs. Place freezing cold. Service rubbish. When first arrived they asked if we would like some water then charged us £5 without us knowing then added a service charge on top without asking if it was ok to do so very cunning and didn't appreciate it at all. So over all I would never eat hear again honestly worse place I've ever had a meal in.

The service wasn’t quite there. Some lovely team but not great at the details, water didn’t arrive had to ask for sides, ask for a steak knife, no where to put your coat. Toilets filthy and no check back for drinks. Full of young insta fans. I’ll not be back. Some of the food was decent but don’t waste your time with the aubergine it was spongy and bland. Some weird dancer and a sax player for entertainment, makes for some interesting conversation.

If I could give this review 0 stars, I would. We arrive 10 minutes early and get seated at the bar - all good! 20 minutes go by and a server asks if we've been seen to. I say we are waiting to be seated. They ask if we've booked to which I say yes. They go away and come back saying our table is being cleaned and will be ready in two seconds. Another 10 minutes pass.. I ask the host if our table is ready, she says 'oh yes' and we are seated. Another 20 minutes go by before we are asked for an initial order. Food was OK - chips tasted supermarket quality, music was OK but very loud. Given we'd put on the 'special requests' that it was our 10 year anniversary and the service we were given was extremely poor, we won't be returning and I will go as far to say that I'll be going out of my way to advise others not to dine here.

Entrantes - yo tenía pato y el marido tenía pollo. El mío era muy sabroso, el pollo de mis maridos era muy duro. Decepcionado con mi plato fuerte. Pedí lubina y conseguí 1 filete, que es la mitad de un pescado .. realmente debería haber conseguido dos mitades. El pescado estaba demasiado cocido y seco y duro. Como digo, me decepcionó mucho. Mi marido tenía pollo satay y le gustó. Muy caro para lo que tenemos. No volvería.

Un lugar de aspecto maravilloso que no estuvo a la altura de su decoración. Los calamares crujientes estaban empapados, el lado de la verdura era soso, mientras que el polvo de chile en el Pad Thai estaba hirviendo los ojos.

Gorgeous restaurant. We were greeted by a lovely server who was friendly and welcoming. He showed us to our table and checked on us throughout the meal but without being overbearing. The food was amazing, the gyōzas particularly were just incredible. And those dirty Thai fries? I would come back purely for those! Will definitely come back again.

We went for mamas mixtape Friday night. Service was amazing, food was so good and much bigger portions than expected. Non stop drinks all night, pornstar martinis were delicious. Dj and singer were also fab. We had the best time! Would definitely recommend.

Entra a las 5 pm hora del té entre semana. Esperé 20 minutos para que alguien nos preguntara si queríamos una bebida, todavía no hay servicio y se fue. No estaba ocupado en absoluto, lo entendería si lo estuviera. No. 1 en TripAdvisor. . . . . No Chance.

Por dónde empiezo... Toda la experiencia fue terrible. El servicio fue impactante. El pollo sal y pimienta parecían trozos congelados de pollo sin condimento. No se veía cómo se anuncia en las redes sociales. La red era sosa. En general, una experiencia impactante no volverá. El camarero ni siquiera preguntó si todo estaba bien. Cuando nos quedaba más de la mitad de nuestra comida.

Overrated. Food was fine until my friend and I got food poisoning. Cocktails tasted like mouthwash. Won’t be coming here again.

Was just treated to a lovely lunch by some clients. All the staff was very friendly and helpful. The chef came out of the kitchen and was excited and passionate about the set menu. The food was excellent, no complaints what so ever. will be going back in the future.

I’d heard good things about this place so decided to visit when family were over from Ireland. Lovely setting but I’m afraid I don’t like sticky tables but I wouldn’t let that put me off. Had ribs and dumplings for starters and both were really nice. Ordered prawn pad Thai and a chicken pad Thai. We waited nearly forty minutes even tho the restaurant wasn’t busy at all. I make this dish myself and know it takes five minutes to make. When the dishes came, presentation was good but both dishes lacked any flavour at all. One dish was king prawn pad Thai, of which there were three which is ridiculous and there was lots of chicken in it which didn’t make sense at all. Then I asked for the bill which didn’t arrive so I had to go and get it to pay. Such a shame as this place looks lovely but food was not a good standard so I wouldn’t go again. Price was ok but that wouldn’t draw me back. The toilet also needs to be cleaner and to a better standard.

I would not recommend this place at all for date night. Obnoxiously loud music, overrated and expensive food. Honestly was such a disappointment to eat here. Servers were lovely but the music is just way too loud for an establishment that serves food in my opinion. I went to a club after and i still think the restaurant was louder and not in a good way.

The place is gorgeous but with really loud music -great mix and DJ but couldn’t hear anyone near me talking. I took out my ear plugs that I use for concerts. I got the crispy orange chicken that wasn’t crispy and looked/tasted like bad quality basic takeout. Not worth the price. They forgot a lot of our 6 person table’s order but never charged us for it so that’s okay. Servers were kind. Cocktails were great and strong! Wouldn’t go again for food but maybe for drinks.

Went to Mamasan for Dimsum Disco, it was great, food really nice and good atmosphere, only downside to this it was a bottomless brunch and the drink service was quite slow felt like we were chasing down the wait staff.

The Crispy Pork Ribs 9/10 really tasty and juicy. Would have loved different varieties of flavours. Chicken Gyoza , loved how crunchy it was, loved the side dip as well rate the dish 8/10. Southern Style Chicken Satay 4/10 did not really like the dish. The rice was the only good part of the dish tbh. The chicken breast had no flavour at all and was just dry. The Skinny Fries with Satay Sauce was 10/10 Perfectly salted and crispy. The Atmosphere is awesome loved the decorations, vibes, everything. Really fancy looking place. Music was 10/10. if you don’t like really loud places wouldn’t really recommend. Service was wonderful, staff always making sure food was alright and tables cleared.

We went for lunch 2 courses for 15 . This venue is mostly suitable for evening and large events lovely decor Ground floor loo Staff excellent .

I wasn't sure if I should give three or four stars The service was OK, not great but not bad. For a starter I ordered a spicy Aubergine dish. It was absolutely terrible. It was very thickly coated in Korean spice paste. The chef obviously didn't realise that it should have been an ingredient not a condiment. Nobody came to ask how my food was and no server was in the dining area. I scraped the paste of the Aubergine and it could have been so nice with other ingredients added to the sauce. I love hot spicy food but this was pure paste ( think curry paste from the supermarket, but saltier and stronger, and not adding anything else, not even water to thin it), so totally inedible. The server didn't ask so I didn't tell him how bad it was. Although it was obvious as he returned most of the food on my plate to the kitchen. For my main course I had the rib beef massaman and I have to say it was one of the most beautiful dishes I have ever tasted. The flavours were sublime. The beef was beautifully tender and the sauce was exquisite. The jasmine rice was beautiful. We also got a side of loaded fries which we barely touched as the rice was enough. Overall, I would recommend this place but with qualifications. Service was polite, but not visible in the dining area once served

The expectation we had was high. And that’s probably the reason why i rated the whole experience a bit low. The Thai food was good, but also not great. I ordered the egg fried rice but it was disappointing. It doesn’t taste good and smells funny. The starters were nice though. We also enjoyed our drinks. The staff were nice and food arrived after 30-45mins so not really desirable. We would still recommend the place, esp to people who want to maybe dance and drink as there was loud music and dj plus dance floor. Not sure if we would come back. Maybe we can try other stuff.

Great atmosphere for this restaurant which offers varied and gluten-free cuisine. The best pad thai around! As soon as you arrive, you will be given a card with all the allergens without having to ask. Let yourself be tempted by their cocktails, they are delicious! In short, a 5/5 ☺️

Such a nice time service was very quick and efficient lovely ambiance and vibes it was was a great time plus the food was nice and filling which is sometimes a concern with aesthetic restaurants but not this one. I’d give it a solid 8/10 only because it was pretty loud think of a club if the music is slightly too quiet for you it’s like that volume wise, the music itself was great though. I’ll definitely be back!

We came on a hen party cocktail class. Our bar tender Sean was friendly, polite, accommodating, engaging, and charming. He had excellent communication skills and communicated confidently with all of our party! You are amazing and have made our weekend a much more enjoyable one! The expectations were high. The food was edible but would not return. Server forgot about us, starter plates left in front of us for a long time, only when collected did he realise we had not had our mains, which led to them being rushed. No one checked on our meals, not offered any more drinks, had to find someone when leaving to pay. Music too loud for an empty venue. Dirty tables around us from when we arrived till we left. Salt and pepper sui mei - tiny! Pork ribs - Little flavour as not cooked in the sauce, more sauce on plate than the ribs. 1/2 Roast Duck & pancakes - Massively disappointing £28 for a duck breast which was more fat than meat. Fat was not rendered down or crisp. More left on the plate than ate. Expected half a duck but got a breast? LUXURY Pad Thai - one of the smallest and wettest I have ever eaten, prawn not cooked with the meal and had no taste of the dish. Raw onion overpowered most flavours. Sticky roast pork belly - Nothing sticky about it? Sauce had little flavour, more fat than meat sadly. Egg fried rice - Nice flavour but undercooked. Nice venue let down by over priced poor food.

Attempted to get a drink and was directed by the door staff to go to the top of the stairs. When I tried to buy drinks for myself and my friend I was completely ignored by the 3 members of staff behind the bar and 1 member of staff on my side. One did make eye contact a couple of times but continued to sweep the floor. They made it very clear that I was unwelcome and I certainly won't be returning.

1/5 our waiter was lovely cannot complain about the service however, we ordered the fried Thai chicken starter from ordering to the food arriving to the table it only took a few minutes which should have been a red flag. Me and my boyfriend shared this starter and after eating 2/3 of the pieces of chicken we started eating the third, which half way through realised it was completely raw. This put us off completely and after asking for it to be took away they brought us another which we didn’t eat. After this we decided it would be best to not eat the rest of the food which was our mains that included the orange chicken. we was refunded the whole meal and offered another cocktail which was nice, just extremely dissatisfied at the lack of attention paid to preparing the food which should be first priority when serving chicken! Obviously no temperature checks on their prepared food before serving which is very worrying.

Appalling - starter OK but mains pad Thai and fillet steak in black pepper were poor. Restaurant environment was depressing and not overly clean. Only plus was the very courteous young coloured waiter. Do not waste your money

Lovely cocktails, friendly service, nice environment, but the food was just average and overpriced.

So disappointing Received a gift voucher from colleagues and was looking forward to our visit, but was so disappointed. Drinks were slow and arrived after our food. Food was dry & tasted oily. One dish never arrived and we had to wait nearly an hour for our mains. They automatically add a 12.5% service charge & don't ask if you're happy to pay it. Worst of all, I was really ill afterwards. Avoid!

Very friendly welcome at arrival. Food was excellent, however Pad Thai noodles are a little bland, I'd recommend the Thai green fish curry. We'll definitely be back again.

The food is fantastic! My partner and I have been twice and recommend the Katsu Chicken Bao Buns and Satay Chicken Curry. What the food excels in, the service is lacking. On our first visit, we waited for a pint of water for 20 minutes as our waiter chatted to his colleagues. Then, he handed us the bill and, we watched as he walked out of the doors to finish his shift. We were sat waiting for a further 20 minutes for someone to take our payment, as we could not find a member of staff. We assumed it was a one off, so we visited again for a second time, only to be met with the same kind of service where we felt we weren’t a priority in an otherwise quiet restaurant. We left feeling bummed out as we love the food, but we felt we weren’t treated as paying customers- more so a nuisance.

Attended for Dim Sum Disco bottomless brunch with friends. Cost of the brunch is nearly £50 for 90 minutes unlimited alcohol and one dish of food. Extremely poor service. We were sat down and it took 15 minutes before anyone came over to speak to us. By this point 15 minutes into a 90 minute slot. Even then one bottle of prosecco was put down between six of us without a word being spoken to share, which is fine but no-one was given the opportunity to order something else. Our drinks emptied and food was brought out, we asked for another drink but nothing was brought over. Food portions were average and food average but I never expect great things for bottomless brunch food. We had to call a member of staff over again and ask for drinks, this time she returned with six cocktails from the bar which we never asked for amd were very sugary and sickly and we had no idea what they were. Half of us barely drank them. Again we had to flag someone down for another drink but not given an option disappeared and returned with more cocktails that were basically juice and not very nice again. We tried to get another drink a few times and eventually was given another bottle of prosecco between six of us. By this point we were all feeling neglected and annoyed and we ended up leaving 10 minutes before the end of our slot. I've been for bottomless brunch a few places round Liverpool and the quality of service and value for money far exceeds here. Staff seemed rushed off their feet and understaffed to give the quality of service should have had. I tried to complain on day but no-one about to talk to and was keen to leave as we had someone else to be an hour later. I have seen tried to complain by email and my emails have been ignored, theives. Don't book!

Having visited mamasam in the past for an evening meal which was amazing, I was surprised to be disappointed in the brunch we attended yesterday. We had been seated upstairs and requested to move down due to my friend being registered blind and it was alot darker upstairs than downstairs, in addition to what appeared to be a speaker hanging from the ceiling which we was seated under so everytime you stood hit your head. There was a table downstairs that was due to be seated 15 mins after our booking exact numbers to ours however was told we could not swap. Drinks were initially very slow there is far to many tables crammed in now which makes it difficult to keep up with drink orders etc as there is not enough staff to manage the volume of people they have attending brunch and not enough bat staff to keep up with the demand of making the drinks which makes it slow. Prosecco was on table however it wasn't chilled so not enjoyable, they need to sell less seats which would make it more manageable to keep up with the demand for drinks across the whole venue, very disappointed 😞

I was here with 17 other people for my friends birthday and our waiter was KRIS. He was amazing!! So patient with us and he delivered food on time! He joined in with the atmosphere perfectly and made my friend (birthday girl) feel so welcome. I would definitely come back again :)

We turned up to use a voucher and there was a private party on. It was our last chance to use the voucher so it was lost.

Our table was sticky and not clean. Service was quite slow, seemed like the staff just wanted to go home. Food was the worst, it was completely tasteless. Bathrooms were also dirty. Wish we went somewhere else !

We went for our anniversary. It felt like a nightclub with a bass drum banging and multi-coloured strobe lighting. We paid for champagne on arrival. Servers had to be prompted. The service was dreadful and servers disinterested. The menu was even worse. Particularly for veggies. Avoid.

Came here for my friends birthday, food was incredible. awful service, rude and very slow. we got the food before the drinks. they also bought over the wrong food and there was no apology. after an awful interaction with the staff they tried to charge us a £30 service fee which we ask to get taken off and when we asked to get it taken off the server snatched and scrunched up the bill in my face. better atmosphere in mcdonald’s. do not recommend.

food was exceptionally good, which for the price of the food is to be expected. expensive, miserable and dark. we ordered drinks and our starter and main arrived first, no apologies from the staff. food was also incorrect, surprise surprise no apology. after our miserable interaction with the staff we were charged an atrocious £30 service charge, after we asked for the service charge to be removed the waiter snatched the bill out of my friends hand and scrunched it in our faces. more smiles and better energy at a funeral, better drinks aswell. highly do not recommend.

Food wasn't bad but the music was simply too loud. Also, if you are going to play music that loud at least have some equipment that can handle the bass from the DJ. The waiter had to ask us 3 times for our order as he couldn't hear us.

If you get served by Warwick you’re in good hands, lovely and attentive- credit to the place!!

Had a budget 2 course lunch menu and it was delicious also had white wine majito cocktail to die for and a glass of Pinot Greco white wine and finished with a crème brûlée and a Jameson coffee liquor wonderful treated myself after staying in Liverpool and New Brighton a week before Easter

Booked my friends birthday brunch months ago, arrived at 2pm loads of free seats downstairs, enough to accommodate us all together, rude unhelpfull staff member advised it was reserved for a booking... I advised we where a booking..... the table stayed empty till gone 3pm. Dancers and saxophonist sat upstairs on the table between performances, eating, vaping and just sat like a staff room.... clothes rail for coats next to us an a messy storage area on show, it's like we had been thrown upstairs in a staff area, to have artists and dancers sat next to your table is unprofessional.... won't be returning, no atmosphere, bad attitude of staff, just ruined a birthday!

worst meal I’ve had in Liverpool city centre. Food bland waited over an hour for my prawn Thai green curry to come out with veg and just curry sauce seperate and not one prawn. Manager refused to comp the bill absolutely disgusting. Inside was dead dirty too so can’t imagine state of the kitchen. When the waiter got the starter wrong he then tried to argue with us that it was our fault that he couldn’t remember correctly? Avoid at all costs go Wagamamas so much nicer! Bill was £100 for two starters one which was wrong and 2 mains again one was wrong and we didn’t even touch it had to get a chippy on the way home that’s how vile it was

The service in this place was very bad. Had to wait a very long time on the drinks and when we wanted to pay was impossible to get the waitress attention. After waiting a very long time went to bar to pay but got told to sit back down. Also got given the wrong drink and when bringing it up got told that i was wrong even though it was pretty obviously not the right drink.

- Spent nearly £90 hear but it was a bit disappointing. - Food was really good but portions are TINY. - I had the beef short rib massaman curry which was amazing but only came with 1 square of short rib??? - gf had chicken satay. Not gonna lie it was the best chicken breast I’ve ever had. Thought it was dry but I think it was sous vide so it was really juicy. - Ribs to go with the meal. Thank god as the mains were tiny. I thought it was okay but my gf loved it. - Nasi Goreng fried rice doesn’t taste authentic. If I’m paying £6 for this side can you fill up the bowl atleast? - what’s with the club & pop remix songs on Saturday night at 8pm??? It was so freaking loud. I would’ve went to a club if I wanted to hear that genre. Could barely hear us speak. And oh, the lights, why is it flashing on my face every 5 seconds?? Not really the vibe we wanted. - I honestly would just stick to Tiger Rock. Tapas style portion, vibe you’d expect in a restaurant setting, banging food, costs less.

Went for lunch only another couple in the restaurant which was a pity as the service and food are both excellent. The lunch menu us varied and good value for money. Servings are a bit on the small side but taste and quality of cooking makes up for it.

Came here for my wife's birthday and it was a massive let down. Thought it would be authentic food, but felt and tasted like the food came out of a jar. The decor is great but the food doesn't match. We came in January with the 50% off and even at those prices would never come back.

Honestly the worst asian food ive ever had! It was really that bad.

Lovely atmosphere and dishes. Their dishes had really sophisticated flavours with perfect seasonings. I usually don't like too much seasonings for Asian food trying to hide the original ingredient's taste with spicy sauce or toppings but I could enjoy the taste each ingredient has. This place is perfect for date, family birthday party, and any Asian food lovers.

Only good thing about my visit was the the lady who waited on us was Olivia Had to send started back as under cooked Long wait for main course Green curry was just a green cream sauce Mains arrived and a wait till rice and chips followed Will not be going back

On arrival we waited 10 minutes to be asked did we want a drink when we had allready pre ordered champagne. Starters took 40 minutes to arrive, then a further hour for the mains to come, which werent our food. One of the sides that werent ours was left on the table for 20 minutes and had nuts in it, staff was aware i had a nut allergy. Mains came after being in the restaurant 2 hours and 20 minutes and there was a fly in my rice. During our over 2 hour wait we was without drinks for 25 minutes as the waitresses were no were to be seen. Never had a restaurant experience come anywere near to how bad this was. This was on a monday and the restaurant was basically empty. We were here for our annivesary and it really ruined the first half of our night. Manager did give us a free drink and deducted the price of the mains but was laughable by the end of the night how shockingly bad this was. Apart from all that and the fly the food tasted pretty good😂
