Food wasn't bad but the music was simply too loud. Also, if you are going to play music that loud at least have some equipment that can handle the bass from the DJ. The waiter had to ask us 3 times for our order as he couldn't hear us.

If you get served by Warwick you’re in good hands, lovely and attentive- credit to the place!!

Had a budget 2 course lunch menu and it was delicious also had white wine majito cocktail to die for and a glass of Pinot Greco white wine and finished with a crème brûlée and a Jameson coffee liquor wonderful treated myself after staying in Liverpool and New Brighton a week before Easter

Orange chicken was exceptionally DRY and totally inedible. They charge so much, maybe consider hiring a better chef and serve fresh food.

Booked my friends birthday brunch months ago, arrived at 2pm loads of free seats downstairs, enough to accommodate us all together, rude unhelpfull staff member advised it was reserved for a booking... I advised we where a booking..... the table stayed empty till gone 3pm. Dancers and saxophonist sat upstairs on the table between performances, eating, vaping and just sat like a staff room.... clothes rail for coats next to us an a messy storage area on show, it's like we had been thrown upstairs in a staff area, to have artists and dancers sat next to your table is unprofessional.... won't be returning, no atmosphere, bad attitude of staff, just ruined a birthday!

worst meal I’ve had in Liverpool city centre. Food bland waited over an hour for my prawn Thai green curry to come out with veg and just curry sauce seperate and not one prawn. Manager refused to comp the bill absolutely disgusting. Inside was dead dirty too so can’t imagine state of the kitchen. When the waiter got the starter wrong he then tried to argue with us that it was our fault that he couldn’t remember correctly? Avoid at all costs go Wagamamas so much nicer! Bill was £100 for two starters one which was wrong and 2 mains again one was wrong and we didn’t even touch it had to get a chippy on the way home that’s how vile it was

The service in this place was very bad. Had to wait a very long time on the drinks and when we wanted to pay was impossible to get the waitress attention. After waiting a very long time went to bar to pay but got told to sit back down. Also got given the wrong drink and when bringing it up got told that i was wrong even though it was pretty obviously not the right drink.

- Spent nearly £90 hear but it was a bit disappointing. - Food was really good but portions are TINY. - I had the beef short rib massaman curry which was amazing but only came with 1 square of short rib??? - gf had chicken satay. Not gonna lie it was the best chicken breast I’ve ever had. Thought it was dry but I think it was sous vide so it was really juicy. - Ribs to go with the meal. Thank god as the mains were tiny. I thought it was okay but my gf loved it. - Nasi Goreng fried rice doesn’t taste authentic. If I’m paying £6 for this side can you fill up the bowl atleast? - what’s with the club & pop remix songs on Saturday night at 8pm??? It was so freaking loud. I would’ve went to a club if I wanted to hear that genre. Could barely hear us speak. And oh, the lights, why is it flashing on my face every 5 seconds?? Not really the vibe we wanted. - I honestly would just stick to Tiger Rock. Tapas style portion, vibe you’d expect in a restaurant setting, banging food, costs less.

Went for lunch only another couple in the restaurant which was a pity as the service and food are both excellent. The lunch menu us varied and good value for money. Servings are a bit on the small side but taste and quality of cooking makes up for it.

Came here for my wife's birthday and it was a massive let down. Thought it would be authentic food, but felt and tasted like the food came out of a jar. The decor is great but the food doesn't match. We came in January with the 50% off and even at those prices would never come back.

Honestly the worst asian food ive ever had! It was really that bad.

Lovely atmosphere and dishes. Their dishes had really sophisticated flavours with perfect seasonings. I usually don't like too much seasonings for Asian food trying to hide the original ingredient's taste with spicy sauce or toppings but I could enjoy the taste each ingredient has. This place is perfect for date, family birthday party, and any Asian food lovers.

On arrival we waited 10 minutes to be asked did we want a drink when we had allready pre ordered champagne. Starters took 40 minutes to arrive, then a further hour for the mains to come, which werent our food. One of the sides that werent ours was left on the table for 20 minutes and had nuts in it, staff was aware i had a nut allergy. Mains came after being in the restaurant 2 hours and 20 minutes and there was a fly in my rice. During our over 2 hour wait we was without drinks for 25 minutes as the waitresses were no were to be seen. Never had a restaurant experience come anywere near to how bad this was. This was on a monday and the restaurant was basically empty. We were here for our annivesary and it really ruined the first half of our night. Manager did give us a free drink and deducted the price of the mains but was laughable by the end of the night how shockingly bad this was. Apart from all that and the fly the food tasted pretty good😂

Fabulous interior design, big restaurant it has 3 floors to accomodate customers. The 3 female staff were accomodating. The pork belly nasi goreng is very tasty and has a good portion, the pad thai is a bit salty and didn’t taste any tamarind flavour on it. Don’t know if the chef forgot to put, it lacking the sweetness and sourness.

Waited over an hour and a half for food, no apologies or communication from staff, wouldn't recommend this place. Nasi goreng looked like uncle Ben's microwave rice.

This is the worst food I’ve ever had in a restaurant The restaurant was freezing cold we asked for the heating to be turned up they said it was on The food was stone cold starters I asked if they could serve the food on hot plates instead the food came out and looked as if it had been under the hot lights for 20 mins I ordered fillet steak which was tasteless and tough it was served with 3 shiitake mushrooms and 4 spears of asparagus! The mushrooms were so dried up they were actually hard ! The sauce was disgustingly salty I told the manager how bad the food was I told them the starters were cold yet when the bill came they charged us for everything I would never ever visit this place again The decor is tired and the toilets shabby It’s really overpriced and the food is terrible and cold avoid this place like the plague It’s overpriced trying to be trendy but tacky I did try to phone several times to complain and give feed back but they don’t answer the phone just a word of warning don’t be fooled by the decor the food is disgusting I’d been looking forward to this but sadly disappointed ! I don’t like to leave negative reviews and wouldn’t have done if they had answered the phone ! I’d be surprised if this place is open in 12 months ….

Been visiting this restaurant since it first opened intermittently when in Liverpool . Always been a great stop for a drink or two on the way back to the apartment with great service and staff. Visited tonight (5.30pm) , the place was practically empty , greeted and invited to order a drink , within 2 mins of entering we were approached by another a member of staff and told we don't do walk ins we are too busy (2 tables in and no-one else having a drink) . Very disappointing and quite ignorant new staff. Won't visit again. 🤔

Very amazing dining experience at Mamasan, it really brings Thai Food to another Level! The meal was a bit pricey but it is very worth it, especially since they design the restaurant to have Fine Dining Experience. The pork belly, beef ribs curry and padthai we had , was SUPER GOOD! Definitely recommend this place for anyone to come in. Unfortunately, you better make a booking to come here, we arrive early and the host told us the restaurant was full booked!(even though no one is there) but the supervisor managed to get us table a bit later,, the waiter was a bit unfriendly and seems unhappy. but we dont cafere much. Hahaha Love the ambience and the food! Will come back again when we visit LIVERPOOL!

The food was mostly excellent, but the service could have been better. We were here for a special occasion so opted for some of the fancier dishes. The starters were amazingly good, really creative and tasty, with lovely fresh ingredients. We had the squid, the scallops and the edamame hummus, all excellent. For mains we had the monkfish and the sea bass. However, some of the food was not as described in the menu. My seabass was supposed to come with surf clams but came with mussels. The dish was delicious and I like mussels, so I shrugged it off and didn't say anything. But it would have been courteous to be informed of any menu changes before ordering. My companion ordered the creme brulee which according to the menu was supposed to come with charred pear and oats. Instead it was a very ordinary creme brulee. When he queried it the waitress went away to enquire, then came back and said somewhat dismissively that the pear was just "a garnish" and chef had run out. Again, it would have been nice to be forewarned. We were not charged for it, but it took a bit of a shine off things, especially as the waitress was a bit weird about us asking why the dessert wasn't as described. The cheesecake he got instead was ok but not that exciting. My raspberry sorbet was excellent, with really intense raspberry flavour. But we probably would have been better off not bothering with desserts. Overall, the service did not feel very warm or considerate. Maybe I'm being fussy or unfair, but this isn't a cheap evening out. And it all just felt a bit off, like nobody working there (apart from the amazing chef) was really invested in people having a nice time. So although we loved most of the food (especially the amazing starters) we won't be rushing back. There are other restaurants with equally good or better food that look after customers better.

We stopped of for a few drinks here after a meal we had elsewhere. The manager was so welcoming and helpful, he found us a table and made sure we were being looked after. We enjoyed the atmosphere so much that we ended up staying for hours and needed to eat again. The Pad Thai and Dirty Fries were just what we needed. Will definitely be coming back!

Our go-to restaurant for a few years now, and they never ever fail to impress. The food is made and presented with great care and attention. Service always on point, and they will even look to accommodate changes to the dish to cater for young fussy eaters.

Attended a formal event last week.tbe meal was superb. Had the satay chicken breast which was so soft and tender. Didn't expect it to be so soft and tasty! Will definitely be returning soon. 😎

I recently had the unfortunate experience of visiting Mamasan, Liverpool. We arrived at 8pm to carnage after the bottomless brunch event, our table was not ready so sent to the bar for drinks. Once seated the wait time for our food pre ordered Christmas menu was beyond unacceptable. We sat at our table for over an hour. The lack of communication from the staff regarding the delay only added to our frustration. When we finally inquired about our meal, we were met with the most unapologetic and dismissive manager I have ever encountered. Instead of offering a sincere apology or an explanation for the delay, the manageress responded with utter indifference and even went so far as to say that we were being unreasonable and intimidating! The level of rudeness displayed by the manageress was nothing short of shocking. A manager should be the epitome of professionalism, but sadly, this individual fell far short of even the most basic standards. I learned that the manager was allegedly making derogatory comments about me to other staff members. Such unprofessional conduct has left me deeply concerned about the integrity of this establishment. A member of the staff, presumably feeling uncomfortable about the situation, felt compelled to inform me that the manageress had been disparaging me to colleagues. We left without eating and spent the rest of the evening in Riva Blu which was outstanding!!

Terrible service. Manager abrupt and rude to us on arrival. Waited almost two hours for our pre ordered food. When we asked where it was, we were accused of being rude. Management an embarrassment and clearly had no handle on the service throughout the restaurant as a number of people were complaining. Wouldn't return and would recommend people avoid unless you want to be disappointed.

If you want to eat Thai food don’t eat here bland and tasteless. Tried to make Thai food something it’s not.

This is one of the worst restaurant I have ever been in. Waited over 30 minutes for my starter and waited 1 hour for my main meal. When I spoke to the manager to ask about my meal she was incredibly rude and offhand with me. The food was very poor and I would recommend you stay away from this place.

Big aspirations walking through the door, unfortunately that was the highlight of our afternoon - the food was terrible and the manager with the brunette hair was extremely rude and made us feel so uncomfortable when asking where our food may be…

I couldn’t believe how terrible that food was. Really bad experience in place that could have potential to become that fancy restaurant… but absolutely not worth the money and time. I’ve eat better fries in many corner fast food not to mention the main menu.

Had already eaten but fancied cocktails - we both enjoyed our choices and Lottie and Aaron were so helpful and friendly - definitely going to eat there next time 😊

Quite a disappointing visit to mamasan. We arrived at 630pm, so it was quite an early dinner seating. We ordered oysters and crab for starter, and a lady came out 5 minutes later to tell us there was no crab. We sucked it up. Another 5 minutes later, we were told there were no oysters left!? (To be honest, this was the only reason we came to mamasan, so at this point, we almost wanted to say don't worry, we will go somewhere else) The food came, and the portion sizes were absolutely tiny, I honestly couldn't believe it. The Calamari had about 4 skinny pieces that were cold for £9 I think this is really bad. The only thing we really enjoyed were the dirty Thai fries, and the staff were lovely. Overall, very overpriced, small portions, and a call ahead to make sure they have what you fancy !

A high quality restaurant with great atmosphere. Nice ambience. Plenty of seating, we didn’t have to book for dinner on a weekday evening. The food was delicious and some of the best pad Thai I’ve had. Servings were just right. Sides were a little expensive.

What a joke, they asked us if we wanted water to the table and without telling us one bottle of water costed us 5 pounds. They asked what kind of rice I wanted for my food and added 4 pounds without telling me. They also added 6 pounds for the service??! The food was alright but definitely not worth the extra 15 pounds that they did not inform us about. Never again.

Lovely rooftop strong drinks great service

This place is a gem. Staff are awesome, dead friendly. Roof terrace was fantastic. Nice vibe. Music loud enough that you can still speak to each other.

Food as well as drinks were hit and miss. Our starters came very quickly with some being very good or okay. The mains took a long time to arrive and some of them were bland. Beautiful interiors, shame the food didn't live up to it.

My first experience having Thai cuisine. I tried the Pad Thai and Dirty Thai fries. UM. I AM IN LOVE. It was so delicious, fingerlicking delicious.

Unfortunately we had to wait a really long time for our food (that was tasty) but the portions were quite small. We would have ordered dessert, because we were still hungry after our main meal, but because it took so long to get our food, we decided against it. Usually I take pictures of where we eat, and the food was beautifully presented, but as mentioned but when our food came I was too hungry to take any.

Lovely atmosphere! Amazing interiors and roof top. I didn't like the fried rice. The staff was very friendly. We had a lovely time and the mains were delicious.

Staff were not friendly at all considering it is my first time coming there after hard work on firday 16:50. When I entered I don’t even understand the instructions that woman said by the entrance she said. I ordered drinks i told them i wanna bring it at the rooftop as i was alone, wanna take pictures then they said i can order here downstairs i said ok, i ordered caiparinhiais the bartender said theres none i saod proseco then i changed it to mocktail, , there was a lady standing by the cashier machine i was looking at her expecting that i can pay now for my drink thru card, but didn’t do anything, and nobody even spoke to me , i was standing there left alone when it wasn’t really that busy at all, i told the otjer bartender can i pay now as nobody was paying attention to me when i am the only one st the bar. Worst was when i was already st the roof terrace the other bartender has to come upstairs because my payment declined when my HSBC debit card has 537£ on it. Bad experience i was really embarrassed

Very very average experience, would not recommend. Go to Mowgli it’s a lot nicer and authentic. Came to Mamasan with my family for a celebration and I really regret making this booking. Food was average but limited. Servers didn’t let us know before ordering what they had so we had that awkward tango where everything we ordered was out of stock starters and mains. Drinks were slow and again average the whole evening, with loud music that meant we couldn’t hear each other. The satay and spicy chicken was nice but same thing just different sauces which for the price is disappointing. Our mains though nice were tepid, with mine the lamb massaman curry being cold served with icy potatoes. This got sent back and after a quick whizz in the microwave was returned. This is not acceptable for a place trying to be a restaurant so sad to say it seems to just be another ‘show’ restaurant in Liverpool.

Excellent food - the set menu (til 7pm on weekdays) is especially good value (it was £17 for 2 courses). The set menu main was smaller than the a la carte main, but still well worth the cost. Minor gripe - a 12.5% tip was automatically added to the bill.

Gorgeous little bar with a lovely roof top section to sit outside when the weather is nice. Bar staff were very good and made great cocktails. Will definitely return 👍

Had an amazing experience in mamasan on Saturday 10th June! Hired the private room for my sisters bridal shower and cannot not comprehend how beautiful the atmosphere, food and drinks were! All staff were so attentive and caring to us all as a group, they respected our privacy and catered to all of our needs. Carla, beau and molly were all so hospitable and deserve praise, truly made the experience so special. Thanks again to the team for all the help, everyone was so pleased with the evening, family traveled down from different cities for this event and were all so thoroughly pleased with this experience!

Great find, good thai style food and great company. Little quiet as mid afternoon

Ate here as a table of one and the service from Bank was absolutely brilliant, friendly and attentive without being rushed, with no problem when I wanted to move onto the terrace after for a drink. The food was great, I ordered the sea bass with a side of Asian greens, perfectly bright and fresh but filling nonetheless. My only small issue was not being asked whether I wanted bottle or tap water for the table, as I was alone I did not finish the 1L bottle of water that was brought so felt a little like I’d wasted it where I would have been more than happy with a just a glass. Overall though I highly recommend and will visit when I’m next in Liverpool

Never felt that much ignored in a restaurant. I went with a friend to have a few drinks on the rooftop and something to eat: the girl on the door told us where to go to find the terrace, we have been waiting in the bar on that floor like 15 minutes and no one shown up. We’ve decided to go downstairs to grab a drink (consider this is 3 floors of stairs - no lift) when we were on the ground floor the guy in the bar told us to order upstairs ,we said there was no one and he said he had just sent someone (I don’t understand why he couldn’t serve our drinks once we were there already) , we went back upstairs and there was no one again. After waiting another 10 minutes one waiter has appeared and said he was changing the draft and he’d be a few minutes. So obviously after that we have left because the treatment it’s been a joke.

The food and the ambiance was really nice. The music here also good. Good place to hangout with you lovely ones.

Very small portions, card reader not working, overpriced

When you first walkin wow. What a delight. However being greeted with a waitress with her arms folded who is walking from the bar is not the best or a friendly manner to greet customers. We were sat down in front of the window and we looked over the menu asked for two drinks and they came pretty quickly. Food arrived and again wow. However I feel that as a customer I shouldn't be getting a member of staff's attention on three occasions to order drinks. They were not busy and I would understand if this was the case. Not one member of staff come over and asked how is everything which Is standed in a restaurant. I felt that they served the food left you alone with not a lot of customer service. To which when the bill arrived I asked for the service charge to be taken off. If I could of left the chef's a tip i would. When I paid the bill again no customer service. How was your meal was everything to your liking... just took the payment and left. So not the best which is a real shame as the floor staff let down this restaurant.

I would not trust this venue for any screening event coverage. My friend and I came to Liverpool to enjoy the Eurovision festivities and got tickets to watch the Eurovision 2023 here. Unfortunately we were left utterly disappointed with the poor preparation put into the showing. Two projectors on the terrace unable to project with it being outdoors, and even so the sound was completely out of sync for both screens. Staff completely disappeared to avoid any confrontation or to rectify the issues. We, and so many others had no choice but to leave as this was ruining our Eurovision experience. At the very least a refund should be issued to everyone due to the lack of service we all paid for.

An almighty mess of a night for their Eurovision ticketed showing. No screens set up on time for the Eurovision to start, very poor planning, staff standing around without a clue of what’s going on and the majority of people leaving within half an hour of the Eurovision starting. No gas bottle in electric heaters so they were out of use, a cheap cocktail upon arrival and no urgency to fix any of these issues while people were just sat looking at blank screens. All of the people that purchased these tickets need refunding. No organisation, no planning, just a ‘yeah we can charge for people to come here and we’ll wing it’. Bloody nightmare for such a big night to be so poorly executed.

My friends and I paid £11 each to watch Eurovision last night and we’re beyond disappointed. There was no table to reserve and basically a bedsheet hung up to watch it on which did not work. The ‘complimentary’ cocktail was disgusting & I’m pretty sure I felt my insides rotting from the first sip. There was no apology from management, a disgusting attitude & no attempt to rectify the situation. They are now deleting/ignoring social media comments and messages on the situation which again, is poor management. Scammers!

I've always thought their food would be spicy but it's not..it reminded me of holidays in Ko Samui...just delicious flavours beautifully presented.

Disappointed with this place. They had the rooftop terrace open, but decided to close the upstairs bar. So we had to keep going down two flights of stairs to get a drink. The cocktails are nice, but very expensive.

Highlight of our trip in Liverpool. Service was great. Definitely recommend Thai Fried Chicken and Coconut Rice Pudding, simply divine. Love the surprise of Staff Lunch too. The Malaysian Yellow Chicken Curry was very salty with minimum rice tho .

This was one brilliant experience, the music, was fantastic. I organized the private room with 11 of us. The food was amazing, with a variety of the menu Katie our waitress was phenomenal, and was so receptive, friendly!

Bank the waiter has looked after us and has met our expectations with superb service and food. I have never seen food coming out like grease lightning and totally has hit the spot!! He has looked after us in every way and just one of the most friendliest members of staff of hospitality I've ever come across. Our first time and never will be the last time!!! Food was less than mediocre with overcooked tough chicken. Oily fatty flavours. Above all, asked for water, not given the option of tap or bottled. Had two bottles that were not opened in front of us, so assumed they were tap, but served from bottles. A common enough practice, without any attempt to deceive. So shocked to be charged £10 for the water. Worst restaurant experience h.

Food out of this world and staff are excellent

Had lunch at Mamasan last Friday. Beautiful food, really lovely venue. It would be very special at night and can't wait for it to warm up because there's a fantastic rooftop area. Our server, Carla, rates a mention for her excellent service. Can definitely recommend the ribs!
