We went here after a recommendation. Nice spot on the docks, liked the fact that you could see into the kitchen, nice decor. Staff attentive. Good menu choice. Had a sharing platter and a chicken Pad Thai, was ok, not as good as I was expecting. Wait person was very informative re added service charge, pointing it out on bill and asking if it was ok.

The food was disgusting where do I even start. First, we got the chicken satay and it was horrible. It was mainly just fpat. I had given it 3 shots and each time I had to spit it out because it was just fat. There was more fat than actual chicken. We had also got the share platter and the food tasted like it had been put into a dish washer. The only thing we actually enjoyed was the pork skewers. The prawn crackers tasted like they were cooked in fish oil and the chicken satay was exactly the same as said before. Lastly, without even asking us, they charges us for £10.20 service charges. Fortunately, we got that money back. Also, our bill was over £80 pounds in the first place. Such horrible food for such high prices

As I entered Rosa's Thai Cafe for the first time I was welcomed by hostess Peach with a beautiful and humble smile. Truly amazing food , unbelievable service and a great place to dine in or even take away. I absolutely loved the fried shrimp, sweet and sour chicken and many other assortments of food. So good that we ended up ordering 2 times. Complimented by amazing music the atmosphere is pure Asian magic. As well we have been served by May as well and other staff that made the experience so enjoyable. Great food, very tasty and full of flavor! Great prices too.

I really enjoyed food here. The dishes had the right amount of spice and were very flavourful. I would deffo recommend this place!

Really bad service, it took more than 35 mins to receive the main course after placing an order. Everyone else received the food but our table. Very disappointing.

This isn’t a normal review for me but I felt that I should let others know before they dine here. The food was great, the servers were kind, and the restaurant itself was clean and cute. But at the end of the meal, there was a 3.99 pound “optional” service charge added to the bill. I didn’t see any signs around the restaurant or on the menu that mentioned this. We were told that it was optional but I felt extremely uncomfortable asking them to take it off the bill. I was planning on tipping a few pounds originally, but I didn’t like that it was automatically added on and I would have to go out of my way and be rude to ask them to take it off if I didn’t want it. The server quickly asked “is that okay?” right before I went to pay with my card and I felt very put on the spot and that I could not say no.

Worst service ever. My friend and I have been to this place and waited for over 45 minutes and yet received no food. Hated the service. I would never recommend anyone to go here.

Really, really great service. Our Thai host had us laughing and in a good mood by really encouraging our menu choices which honestly made such a fun difference to the vibe. Food was an absolutely fantastic affair. I started with some pumpkin crackers ("yes! Pumpkin darling") and sweet chilli sauce as a pleasant alternative to prawn. They were fresh and warm with the expected crisp, but next time I'll go back to the prawnies. The moo ping ("wow excellent pronunciation, yessss") skewers were delicious. Tasty pork with a tamarind sauce dip. I went for a Pad Thai ("ooh good choice!), which was cooked to perfection, although the extra fried egg ("yesss get that egg!") sadly was well overdone and solid. The only letdown of the evening. I also had a boozy Thai lemon iced tea ("oh alcohol, go for it!!), which I'd strongly recommend. Essentially iced tea with rum in, in a mason jar. I've oversimplified what was a really delicious and refreshing drink. Too full for desserts. Will have to come back, what a shame! This could very well be the best Thai place in Liverpool.

Great friendly greeting. Big menu catering for all tastes, mild and hot. We have visited every time we are in Liverpool and never disappoints.

We had a lovely evening at the restaurant with friendly and efficient staff serving us. We started with a shared platter which was freshly cooked and delicious. Our 2 main dishes were a noodles dish and crispy chicken. The noodles dish was delicious but unfortunately the crispy chicken was over cooked with the crisp falling off the chicken slices and the chicken was also dry. However, we enjoyed the atmosphere and hope to return one day.

Staff were very friendly and accommodating especially Bhu and Peach, they recommended us several drinks and desserts (that we were looking for) and everything tasted delicious. Highly recommended!

Had a really great meal here. Very tasty, attentive service and priced quite fairly. There’s a discretionary service charged automatically added to the bill. Since the experience was good, I was less aggrieved than normal however I don’t like this approach. I can thoroughly recommend for food and service.

My wife booked this restaurant as a weekend away treat for us. Maybe we have been spoilt by all the other Thai restaurants in the UK and Thailand we have been lucky to eat in. However I must say that we are the worst Thai food at Rosa's. The Thai calamari on the sharing platter tasted of crushed wotsits with chilli flakes and was cold. We both had the belly pork pad ka prow which was so sweet we couldn't eat it. I would describe this as western Thai food definitely not the real thing and probably the worst I've ever eaten

Quick attentive service and good spicy food.

When visiting Liverpool we always go to Rosa's and look forward to it. Last night wasn't a good experience my husband had Thai green curry and I couldn't believe my eyes when it was brought out it was that runny it was coming off the plate. Surely the chefs and the serving staff can see that isn't right. My husband always has this but it will be a while before we go again.

My favorite asian joint in the whole of UK!!!! Pad thai is one of the best I've tried (and I have actually been to Thailand). Their Tom Yum is very good and heart warming to have on a cold day. I have not tried the other branches, but this specific branch holds a special memory for me and I make sure to eat here whenever I am in Liverpool 😊 Some dishes can be reallyyyy spicy so order with caution!

Despite being busy and not having a table booked they fitted us in straight away. Lovely little resturant overlooking the Albert Dock. We had the shared platter for starter and then Green Thai curry egg fried rice and Red Thai curry with sticky rice for the mains. Food was delicious very tasty. Service was great would highly recommend 👌

I've been in the UK for 3 months, and I miss South East Asia's taste so much. Thank you so much for your fulfillment 😭😭😭 The cracker, made with shrimp, is the thing I missed the most. Finally, this Thai resto is serving this Indonesian snack for me. Actually, I'm amazed with the coffee. I didn't expect it would be this delicious 🥹 A perfect drink to shine up the gloomy day.

As we were staying in Liverpool City centre over the festive period, we wanted to escape from the traditional turkey, etc, so we ventured out to Rosa's Thai restaurant. Wow! The food was great, so tasty and very Thai, with a genuinely authentic taste. This restaurant is located within the Royal Albert Dock, so it has a lovely atmosphere and a relaxed atmosphere inside. The staff were really friendly and helpful, and the food was reasonably priced and truly delicious. Highly recommended.

Can share only a modest review, as we did not enjoy the food too much. The shared platter was good, but the soups were disappointing - we left Tom yum almost untouched. Keep also in mind that they add a service fee on top of menu prices.

The food is delicious. The atmosphere is cosy and the staff are so friendly. Peach served us tonight and she was brilliant. We’ve been twice in one week and we will definitely be going again. X

This is probably our 5th visit to Rosa, food was great as usual, old staff are amazing and always great to see again 😊 but on this particular occasion the Thai girl ( never seen her before ) who sat us down at about 1pm (she has a slim sak yant tattoo on spine of back seen as she bent over to the next table ) and took our order was so miserable, unfriendly ,and unapproachable and spoilt the day .. if it wasn’t for the old staff being friendly as always we would have walked out 🙃 needs addressing

Called in for an evening meal with my partner. The establishment is a 'no frills' cafe with comfortable seating and not much else, so little in the way of ambiance. Warmly welcomed and swiftly seated and served our choices of Duck and Chicken mains. Food fine and reasonably priced but uninspiring. All in all a 'no frills' experience.

We were very excited when we heard about this Thai restaurant tucked away in a beautiful location by the docks, as there aren't a lot of South East Asian restaurants about. When we found it we thought it looked wonderfully inviting, and when we walked in we were welcomed by friendly staff to a cosy table in a corner. The tables are nicely spaced considering the size, and although it was busy, we didn't feel like we were squashed in, and could easily hear eachother, which can be an issue in some places! We did take a bit of time to order as there is a huge variety of dishes on the menu, but eventually settled on a chicken Thai curry and an oyster mushroom Tom Yum noodle soup. The food came very quickly and was truly gorgeous. They both felt very authentic, and seemed very fresh. I had the Tom Yum noodle sup, which was amazingly fragrant, spicy without being overly-hot, and had lots of noodles and sumpstuous oyster mushrooms. The waitress checked on us during our meal and seemed very friendly, which was nice, especially considering it was, as mentioned, so busy, and she had to serve lots of tables! We realised we didn't have time for dessert and asked for the bill, but were extremely surprised when the staff brought us a brownie with a candle, because they had heard it was my birthday! It was a very very very thoughtful and kind gesture and just shows how Rosa's Thai go the extra mile for customers. It was a delicious brownie too! Finally, I would just add that despite my partner's 'witty' jokes about the cost, it was actually a very reasonable price for each meal, and we cannot wait to go again to try more dishes from Thailand! A big thank you to all the staff, particuarly our waitresses Lek and Peach!

Stopped in for some lunch on our wandering around the dock. The food was lovely, full of flavour and the cocktails were definitely boozey! We ordered a few small plates between two and were definitely satisfied. The service charge isn't and issue to us as we tip for good service anyway. If the service charge is an issue to you, maybe you're the problem...

One of the best Pad Thai I’ve ever had! Location is great! Right across it is where the River Dock Light Show happens. So got to enjoy the light show while enjoying the food too!

We had head some good stuff about Rosa’s but have had quite possibly the worst meal in a restaurant we have ever had. Food was at best mediocre service was slow and poor. Food was not hot. Staff seemed more interested in fussing around with balloons than actually seeing to customers. Waited ages for the bill. The restaurant was virtually empty so there’s no excuse for poor service. Never again

As a Thai, I would recommend Rosa Thai. I can say this is the most authentic Thai food I've ever had in the UK. Especially the prawn crackers, pa tong ko (ปาทองโก๋) and mango sticky rice; they remind me of my hometown. The staff and the manager are really nice and helpful.

Visited for dinner on a busy early Sunday evening as a group of 7. Despite a full restaurant the staff were friendly, efficient and speedy. Food delivery was spot on, starters arrived quickly and then a sensible gap for mains. Food is decent quality, probably on the spicier side compared to some restaurants (though that is clear from the menu), but it felt a bit 'restaurant chain style', more than what you'd get in an independent restaurant. But good value.

First time here and disappointed in the dish we had , five spice beef noodles soup which lacked flavour and the beef was extremely tough , I left my dish and paid for Pad Thai which was lovely .so to find a decent dish we paid for three meals instead of two. On receiving the bill they had added £7 tip to a £56 meal , surely its up to the customer to tip or not .

Busy, busy but great friendly service and tasty food.

Visited on Monday. We were 2 of us. didn't have to wait. Staffs were friendly and nice. We ordered Spring roll, Green curry & Tom yam noodle. I expected the noodle in the tom yam soup is thin rice noodle, but it was thick plat rice noodle. Soup taste is ok. Spring roll is crispy. I ordered ginger infused tea as well. It took so long that ginger is infused. it's almost plain water taste in the beginning and only I can smell little bit of ginger when I finished the main food. So if you ordered infused tea, please wait enough time. If I go near by, I wish to visit again and try different dishes as well.

4 stars because when we arrived, we were initially told that there was no tables and that they were fully booked by a member of staff (who could have been new). We then spoke to another member of staff (a young guy) who took us to a table straight away and there was plenty of tables. We thought this was a bit odd. Anyway, once we were seated, the service, food and drinks were great and would highly recommend!
