First impression - lots of empty seats but is it really that bad? As i entered on my own for lunch i wanted a table for 1. They looked at me funny but whats wrong with a table for 1? Anyway I was short on time as I needed to catch the train. I opted for the beef noodle soup but WOW it was so BLAND. Pho is supposed to be flavourful within the broth but i couldnt even add salt to justify the taste. Im not one to complain as i love my food but I would like to inform others that you may find better elsewhere

Stopped for lunch and ordered chicken ramen, shared platter and katsu chicken. Platter was poor, small portions and tough meat. Ramen was ok. Katsu was ok, but curry sauce tasted like from a chip shop. With drinks was almost £60! Will never go back.

Popped in for a quick lunch. In need of a good clean. Worries me what the kitchen is like. I get the whole Thai street vibe but the street might have been a better option. Service was quick. But we were brought dirty glasses for water. Summer rolls - are quite bland anyway but seems like they’d tried harder to make them even less tasty. Sui Mai - over done but taste ok Spring rolls - only thing worth eating Spicy beef bao buns - low quality chewy meat. Two iced bubble teas - ok but over priced at £4.50 each. Whole bill was £26.00 and we left feeling grubby. Try Wok and Go next door... is a chain but two noodle boxes for £12

There's very little to recommend about "My Pho" in liverpool. I have visited there three times over the months and years and will no longer frequent them. It is a pity, but the chain vietnamese-ish place up the road offers far better food and service in every way, which isn't saying much. What are the problems with "My Pho?" Where do i begin? First, the food is not good. Pho is not particularly hard to make, but to make sophisticated and tasty broth takes a bit of time and skill and dedication to some subtler ingredients. If this sounds difficult, it isn't - any pho seller worth the name does this as a matter of course. "My Pho" gives you a small bowl of what is barely better, tastewise, than supermarket instant pho. There's no subtlety and no quality ingredients involved. one of their more sophisticated soups, i think it was bun bo hue or somethign similar, was not much more than their generic pho with some red spicy chili sauce of some sort thrown in to redden it up. it utterly lacked all the subtlety and taste of good soup. To call this place "good" you'd pretty much have to be ignorant of how the real stuff tastes. To top it off, they give you a tiny amount of the expected accompanying stuff and even that is heavy on the cheapest stuff (bean sprouts) while the more interesting things (fresh cilantro and decent quality chilies, etc) are nonexistent. On a cold nearwinter day, the soup wasn't even sufficiently hot. all of which would be fine if this place were priced at fast food prices, but it isn't. at nearly 10 pounds for a small bowl plus expensive drinks PLUS - and here's the kicker - they add a service charge I think it's 10 or 15% to EVERY party order based on some tiny text on the menu. Service is sub-par. We asked for a napkin and were given one. It was the sort of service that people at crap restaurants give because they know they are ripping you off. interior decor is something some teenager spraypainted all over the place in an afternoon. is this restaurant salvageable? maybe. but it needs a complete overhaul in terms of price and value. liverpool could certainly use some decent vietnamese options other than the chain ones (especially now that the very very good one on smithdown road has gone bust) but as it now stands, no restaurant at all is better than giving the utterly horrid My Pho a penny of your money. Incidentlally, while i was there I witnessed an asian man complaining that his soup (not sure if he had pho or what) was both bad and also didn't contain what he asked for (this is not X! i remember him saying - but i forget exactly what X was.). I noticed that when he went to pay (he was also not happy and wanted out of there) they didn't charge him the 'service fee.' So, that seems to be arbitrary. Two of us left there having spent almost 30 pounds and were completely unsatisfied. For the amount they ask you can do far far better in liverpool. There are certainly worse restaurants in liverpool, but, given that vietnamese food has the right mix of being healthy, delicious, fast/cheap, and popular you'd be hard pressed to find one that has so much potential and yet comes up so short.

I first discovered My Pho a few years ago and my experiences dining here have always been amazing. It is by far the best Vietnamese restaurant in Liverpool and i will continue to come here. The restaurant offers a wide variety of cuisines and the traditional Pho dish is outstanding and delicious. It has many healthy vegetarian and tofu options available. The food is fresh and delicious and you get very generous sized portions for very reasonable prices. They also sell tasty bubble tea. The service is very quick and the waitresses are very polite, welcoming and attentive. It is very welcoming for children and the decor is beautiful. I would high recommend this restaurant.

I discovered My Pho a while ago when I stayed in Liverpool on my own and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food delivered to my hotel. I’ve been to the restaurant a few times since and will be back more often in the future! My two young children can be very picky when it comes to their food but they both absolutely loved it! ❤️ The food is fresh and delicious and there are vegetarian options available. You get a generously sized portion and you won’t have to wait long at all until the friendly staff brings you your food! The members of staff make you feel welcome and are very good with children. My children enjoyed their attention and the colourful decorations and lights on the walls of the restaurant. My eldest child immediately asked me when we would go to My Pho again, after we closed the door of the restaurant behind us. 😁There are plenty of tasty drinks to choose from and the staff even serves different kinds of bubble tea. Before you leave, you get a fortune cookie, which I think is a neat treat. 😊 Give this restaurant a go when you fancy some lovely Asian food. Whether you’re on your own, with family or friends, you won’t regret it!

We enjoyed the Pho Special (beef, chicken and prawn) and the Pho Ga (Chicken). They were pretty authentic for Vietnamese pho bowls taste wise. A side plate of bean sprouts (a little sorry looking unfortunately), with a good side of lime to squeeze and sliced chili were provided. They provided (wet, again sorry looking) coriander/cilantro as well in place of mint leaves. It was honestly very delicious. We also got the Cha Gio (crispy spring rolls), which seem to have been fried in oil when it was still not hot enough making the skin slightly oil-clung. It still tasted good. The side salad of chopped lettuce and sliced cucumber etc. looked soggy again. I wish they would improve on their garnishing to make things look clean, crisp and more appetizing. The service was seriously lacking. The wait staff acted like she was doing you a favor by serving you. She never initiated any "thank you" and basically gave us the "i don't really belong here" attitude. If I detailed what exactly she did, she might get into trouble because it is not the way you treat customers, and I will give her the benefit of the doubt that she probably just doesn't know HOW TO be in the food service business . Hopefully this training issue will be addressed by the owners. Food staff should always be polite, and not clueless. Never just toss something to your customers/guests, and don't just call out "you pay here". Good luck and I hope the next time we visit (IF we do. We were quite put off by the service), you would improve in this area. We enjoyed the food immensely but sad it was spoiled by the service.

Unfortunately there has been no cohesive structure here. Since our last visit the prices of the Pho have risen and the quality is sadly poorer. £8.50 (used to be £6) buys you a big bowl of soupy water and the flavour is average and the basil leaves and beansprouts look sadder still. There used to be a meal deal with a drink and even that has gone. The new decor makes the place shabby looking with its stick on the window home made lettering. Its really too expensive for what is simply a cafe. Head to Bold Street if you want the real deal .......

As a Vietnamese person growing up on the delicious comfort foods of pho, bun, goi coun, banh mi, banh couns I can whole heartedly say this food is not authentic. Don't disrespect my culture with your summer rolls with out herbs to bring the fresh flavours together and putting in OLD BROWN LETTUCE into my goi couns. Also, why are my goi couns served with nuom cham(fish sauce) when it should be served with a delicious Spicy peanut sauce??? I should have already known not to step into a pho restaurant where they sell Japanese +Chinese +Thai food. Especially when I asked for my favourite Vietnamese dish and the waiter couldn't even understand what I was saying as he was not Vietnamese so I had to switch languages and speak Chinese to him to which he understood. Also, WHAT VIETNAMESE RESTAURANT DOESN'T HAVE THE STANDARD BOTTLE OF SIRRACHA ON THE TABLE!? And my bowl of pho, oh my God, where do I start!? The prawns were the halved sliced prawns, not the big thick king prawns you would usually get in a proper Vietnamese restaurant. The bland pho came with a few Thai basil leaves (on the verge of dying) and no fresh mint or coriander and 7 strands on beansprouts.... seriously!? I refused to go into the chain Pho cafe as I hate chains and would rather support local restaurants but I fully regret making that decision as this was worse. I feel like this was an insult to all Vietnamese cooking. I did not complain as I was with a group of friends and didn't want to put a downer on the day which is a shame as this place needs to know they need to focus on one thing. I'm passionate about Vietnamese food and this is no where near the real deal. Insulting.

Bone broth is all the rage in Hollywood as it is nourishing , probiotic, and the collagen, keratin within it is great for the skin, it is even supposed to reduce cellulite. The only problem is that it takes great big bones and hours of simmering to make it. Pho is the aromatic Vietnamese national dish made from bone broth that is slow cooked for over 10 hours with added noodles meat/tofu, veg and herbs. It's a complete meal in a bowl and you can get it here. If I lived in Liverpool I'd be down here 3 times a week! I like the raw steak one but brisket or chicken is great too. They do other stuff which is good but the pho is the man. For extra health benefits try their fruit smoothies or fun them up on their cocktail list. Go get a bowl.

Visited here half a year ago and fall in love with this pho(noodles soup). This time I come back for them again and they changed everything from service, food quality to the atmosphere to enjoy the food. Seems they have improved a lot especially the soup of the pho. I was asking about the ingredient of the soup and hope I can make one myself at home but apparently they spend 10 hours on boiling the soup with big cow bones. Cannot afford to do it at home so have to come back for it. Thank you for giving me such a great experience on having Vietnamese food. Small city big surprise :)

Decided to give this place a go and afterwards decided to never eat here again. The waitress service is mediocre, not friendly or welcoming, sort of made me feel like I was putting them out or something. The food was nothing like I was expecting. I ordered the tofu and vermicelli noodles and ended up with basically a bowl of broth with some noodles and tofu floating around in it, which would've been alright if the broth actually had some taste to it. Very very bland, quite possibly dishwater. I went to the toilet (to throw up, no I am not kidding) and was appalled at the customer toilet. Grubby and unclean, there are mops and buckets and cleaning materials just there on the floor for anyone to use. The smoothie was alright, quite flavoursome and in a rather large glass. Overall I was not impressed with this visit and would not recommend it as a place to eat.

Very bad experience. Everything is sooooo bad. The waitress is rude & impatient. The food is not delicious at all. The price does not worth it. The table setting of the ground floor is terrible. Nothing is acceptable in this ridiculous so called Vietnamese restaurant.

I just popped in and tried the Pho! The special Pho is gorgeous, it is better than one I remembered when I was in Vietnam travelling. What special me the most is the cocktail is so fresh and tasty. I'll be back with friends.

Visited for lunch. Venue was quiet and service was quick, but not particularly friendly. Sweet and sour sauce definitely didn't taste anything like 'authentic' and chicken was obviously cheap cuts. Not great in a city with loads of choice.

Not the best. I felt like the food was not tasty or exciting like most Thai restaurants. Left disappointed as hungry as I didn't finish my meal.

Been a while since my last visit so decided to pop in for a takeaway lunch and was not disappointed, chose the large noodle box with pork belly, a portion of sumais and a cold iced tea. Pork was cooked to perfection and very tasty as were the soft noodles, sumais were tasty and not too overcooked and the tea was fresh fragrant and ice cold.

Very good and extremely good value, The Pho meal deal is great - choice of pho (a hearty noodle soup with braised beef, chicken etc), 2 spring rolls with dip and a drink for £8, delicious. I have also had the caramalised Vietnamese style pork belly fried noodles, lovely. Don't expect anything fancy, it's cafeteria style seating but for good cheap eats whilst out and about I recommend it.

I arrived really hungry after a grim train journey. Ordered chicken pho and fragranced beef with rice. The food arrived quickly. Helpings were so big that I couldn't finish it all. Both were delicious. Handy location - a minute's walk on your right after turning right out of Central Station. Next time we're in Liverpool I'll take my husband.

We've walked past this place a few times and not gone in , but today we thought we'd try it. Looks small inside but there's plenty of space upstairs. I had chicken vermicelli in a box and my husband had sweet chilli chicken noodles. Both meals were lovely and just the right amount of food. Service was good and we had two very large green teas ! You can even charge your phones for free with a USB slot at each table. Very enjoyable lunch - I'm surprised it wasn't busier. Would definitely return and encourage others to go too.

I was very excited to see a Vietnam see restaurant had opened in such a good, central location. Unfortunately today was my first and last trip there. The woman serving you either pretends not to understand English very as a way to convince you that she has what you want (then the real thing comes and it is nothing like you wanted) or her English is very poor. Regardless she had a very huffy puffy attitude and made no attempts to hide her impatience and irritable at my asking questions about the dishes. On top of that, she tried to get me to buy another dish and when I said no she sighed heavily in my face before turning away and screeching angrily in Vietnamese to her college who gave me a weak smile and hastily tried to diffuse the situation. They didn't have what I wanted (peanut butter sauce) and instead of admitting it they said they would 'make'ir which involved them throwing a few tablespoons of peanut butter into a container. It all went in the bin and I left with a very sour taste in my mouth both from the food and the extremely poor customer service. Won't be going back, and don't recommend to anyway. Place was empty whole time I was there, not a single other customer, which during the lunch rush in the city centre, should have been a sign I didn't ignore.

I got quite excited when I saw a Vietnamese food place in Liverpool, as an Asian food lover. Finally got round to try it last week. The 'restaurant' itself looks like a pop up food place, with three tables on the ground floor and lots of white space.

Ive visited this cafe/restaurant for lunch twice in three weeks with two different friends and was pleased with all aspects. The food was freshly made and the chef who we spoke to even changed the prawn & green mango salad starter slightly for me as 1 ingredient was not available. We've had various pho soups which are huge and packed with veg and either meat or prawns and come with herbs and all manner of bits to add to the dish plus their own special fish sauce, which is far nicer than the supermarket variety. The staff are so friendly and can't do enough for you and on the times we've visited the tables have been spotlessly clean to the point of shining. The toilets also are really clean, always a good sign! I tend to only do reviews if somewhere is really good or really bad and although this is not your 5 star luxury type establishment it is tasty, healthy food prepared fresh in really clean conditions, presented well and doesn't break the bank. I will definitely come back!

We visited here as part of a Groupon deal, we spent £15 on the deal and were offered £16 worth of food. After the manager telling us we can't even have a drink because he wasn't making any money off the deal, we really were having a terrible experience but it was too late to get a refund on the voucher.

The £8.00 deal of Pho, Spring Rolls and soft drink is fantastic value for money, the soup is good, i would prefer a braised beef, rather than thin slices of roast but a minor quibble, tasty and filling with all the right flavours

Called in for lunch today. Chose the beef pho, small, six quid. The actual bowl was pretty big, but also pretty bland. The beef was very scanty. But the main thing that put me off was the beansprouts were dried up and browning and the basil leaves were manky too.(You get beansprouts, chilli, lime and fresh basil to add to your soup, but this fresh basil was far from fresh)

Situated just two doors down from the seemingly ever popular 'Wok&Go;' establishment in the centre of Liverpool, this, for me, is a far superior lunchtime venue. For about £5-6 you get a large box of noodles/rice/pho in a range of different flavours. The soy sauce chicken vermicelli was very nice, not too greasy, and a good amount of meat. Some more sauce would have been welcome however, although there is a large amount of sauces/condiments situated at all the tables, which is a nice touch. The layout of the restaurant is simple and very clean, which is all you really need.
