Had the lunch deal, £15 for 2 courses and a drink. Grate value for money. Will definitely go back again!

This place was recommended to me so I went and bought the prawn and dumpling soup, And OMG IT WAS TO DIE FOR💯👌🔥🔥 If you haven’t tried please make sure you do👍 You won’t regret it, Thank me later🙌 I went in and ate inside and it was that bloody nice I ordered another to take home, So that says it all 👌 Just had again for the last 3 days, This is seriously unbelievable 🔥 I’ve had this from so many different Thailand restaurants and once again the best by far, If this place ever closes I’ll be lost. the chef is amazing and so are the staff ❤️

Very happy to find an authentic Thai restaurant in Sheffield. My family and I visited Thai Thai Ka on X'mas eve, and the food were delicious and good portions. The price is also reasonable!

I ordered crispy pork salad, I am so sorry to say that the pork was sooooo stiff I barely can chew its like a rock.. they might reheat it again and again… I really disappointed I paid for £13-14 for this dish but I cant enjoy it feel like a waste of money But Somtum was nice I really can taste of thailand and The staff was really nice too

Cancelamos pero luego recibimos un mensaje de texto inmediatamente después de colgar diciendo que llegaría en 20 minutos. Apart from the slightly 'loud' signage, there is a lot of recommend this place. The food is excellent, the prices are reasonable, the service is polite and prompt.

La comida estuvo lista a tiempo, mientras esperaba, me ofrecieron una bebida gratuita, que fue muy amable y acogedora. Gran comida de degustación, personal encantador. La caja de inicio mixta era deliciosa y se servía con salsa de chile, salsa satay y pequeñas verduras en escabeche. ¡Nada grasiento! Luego comí carne de curry massaman y arroz jazmín, que era muy agradable! Mi compañero tenía pollo penang y arroz jazmín que también era muy sabroso! Definitivamente lo recomendaría!

I love coming here for food!! The portions are great especially for the cheap price which is amazing whilst being a student! And everything always comes out fast so it makes lunch breaks even better! Definitely becoming a regular :)

Been here a few times and the food is always delicious and people are really friendly and welcoming. It has recently been taken over so had a bit of a menu change but the same tasty food. The best tofu curry I’ve ever had :).

Probablemente alguna de las peores comidas que me han cobrado. mi principal olía a bin agua y sabía peor, solo tenerlo en la mesa eralo suficiente como para que mi marido dejara su comida, que estaba bien. Decir que "es una forma tradicional tailandesa" es una solución. Dudo que la palabra tradicional signifique que el pescado está demasiado cocido. Tuvimos una toma de aquí hace aproximadamente un año que tampoco era buena. Mi primer plato y el principal (ambos peces) eran incomibles. Somos tolerantes y damos a los lugares el beneficio de la duda, el servicio fue bueno pero la comida fue impactante. Me encanta el tailandés, pero no volveré aquí

Delivery took twice as long as what they stated and had to keep chasing. Food was ok but nothing special and visit was tainted by the poor customer service and lack of just being honest about delivery times

We placed an online order for a delivery at 19.15 and were told it would be 45 minutes until we received our food. We telephoned twice to find out where the order was only to be told lies about the order was with the delivery driver. Eventually, the restaurant asked me to telephone the driver (!) to find out where the food was. We received the food 1 hour and 40 minutes after placing the order. The food was cold when we received it. Never again.

Nos encanta la comida tailandesa, desafortunadamente nos quedamos decepcionados con la comida y el servicio. Las camareras no parecían saber lo que se suponía que debían hacer, el orden de las bebidas fue impredecible. La comida salió sin platos. Era casi como si todos fueran nuevos y fuera su primera noche. todo muy extraño

平日お昼すぎに利用しました。先客はゼロ。途中で学生風の人が一人来ただけでした。お店の雰囲気はカジュアルでもなく上品でもなくちょうど中間。エビ入りのフライド・ライスを食べましたが、ごく普通の味でした。量は若い人には少し足らないかも。

La comida tailandesa es una de mis favoritas y no me decepcionaron aquí. Inicialmente, mis pensamientos se referían a la decoración y no me malinterpreten, un poco de pintura no fallaría. Decoración aparte, aunque la comida era deliciosa y sin duda volveremos.

Como familia, nos encanta la comida tailandesa. Nuestro hijo vivió en Bangkok durante tres años y lo visitamos varias veces mientras estuvo allí, así que sabemos lo real cuando lo vemos. Pensamos que probaríamos este restaurante ya que vivimos cerca, y casi todas las críticas fueron favorables.

Food was very flavoursome and authentic,ambience not sophisticated but good value and would definitely recommend a visit .

I saw how busy the restaurant was on a Saturday evening and so I decided to try it on a Sunday. It was fairly quiet and the waitress was very friendly. The fish cakes were ok and the chicken in holy basil was also ok.

I had a dinner on a week day and the food was super delicious. Tasty, fresh, good portion. The two ladies that were working there were extremely kind. I look forward to coming back for another meal.

Came here with my partner on a Sunday evening and we were the only people in the restaurant. The restaurant itself is bland inside and doesn’t really have a theme, especially not Thai. The waitress was lovely and accommodating. The menu is well arranged and split into helpful categories with good explanations of the options. Excellent vegetarian selection and they offer 10% Student Discount which is worth it. I had Pad Thai (vegetarian) which was very nice, however would have been better with a lime wedge. Unfortunately they forgot our starters and the waitress disappeared so couldn’t ask her. When we did she was lovely about it and brought the starter after we had finished, with extra which was well dealt with. My partner had the Green Chicken Curry with sticky rice. The sticky rice portion was very small and overpriced and the main he received was a very small portion and he was unsatisfied, came home and made another meal. Quite overpriced for what you get for meat dishes. Also there is no selection of sauce or extra flavouring on the table which would be nice. We waited for an incredibly long time for the bill as the waitress had gone to the kitchen again and seemed to forget about us. She worked out the 10% Discount incorrectly but we’d waited too long and so just paid and left. Wouldn’t be rushing back but would recommend the Pad Thai.

Good food, noodles especially, friendly and welcoming staff. We just turned up on spec but they went out of the way to accommodate us, not easy as one of us was a baby in a buggy !

Tasty food, typical Thai style, cooked to a nice standard, beautiful tofu curry. Try coconut rice, and also the green tea is ok. Pleasant staff, the cafe is very quiet and lacking in atmosphere. Worth another visit.

We went to Thai Thai is for date night in Feb. Being new to the area and hearing good reviews we thought we'd give it a go.

So far have been there a couple of times , each time food was delicious and staff polite and friendly. Already booked a table for next Tuesday(can't wait).

We booked a table for 4 before a Friday night concert at the Uni. It was quiet when we arrived and so attentive service. The fish cakes, satay and beef salad were all good sized portions and they spiced up to our taste. Nice variety of curries with rice and noodles. Good value but had better quality beef steak

Service and staff very pleasant ,starters and main course came out in a reasonable time , but lacked in flavour, it wasn't bad, and we finished it all off , Thai food should be a taste sensation but this was bland (sorry) , I will give it another go tho, maybe they had a off day , we all have them don't we !!!!

Recent first time visit to Thai Thai Ka in Broomhill with a small group of friends. None of us had eaten here before and we were looking forward to it. Unfortunately, we found the restaurant totally lacking in atmosphere. In comparison to other local Thai restaurants, Thai Thai Ka has more of a canteen feel and the decor and furnishings are rather cold and spartan.

Very tasty food with lots of choice for vegetarians. The atmosphere was pleasant and the staff were lovely. I will go again.

Terrible place !!!!! visited with 8 other people for my daughters birthday, on arrival we all ordered after 55 mins 2 of our group of 9 got their food (which wasnt good) and the rest of us left waiting, another meal came out about an hour and 10 after ordering. I still hadnt received my food although my husband had and had finished eating(he was one of the 2) I went to see the staff explaining only 3 people had had their food and we had come as a party and the fact that at this point we had ordered the food 1 hour and 20 minutes earlier, she didnt seem to understand what I was saying and nothing was done about it. Another 10 minutes went by and I asked for the bill for my husbands food and to cancel my order, I was presented with a bill a good ten pounds over what my husband bill should have been. I paid what was owed and left the rest of the party who had decided to stay. Our evening of celebration was totally ruined and I had to return home having not eaten!!! I would never recommend this place to anyonee we didnt even get so much as a sorry. Ifyou dont want your evening ruined go some where else!!!!

Good authentic Thai food and a good variety of dishes. I would recommend the pad thai as it was delicious. I would go again.

Visited Thai Thai Ka on a Tuesday evening to sample their buffet. Have been twice before and have really enjoyed the evening, however on my last visit we arrived at 5.30 pm which is the time advertised on the website and by 6.30 pm the buffet food was still not out for customers, it was coming out in dribs and drabs and it wasn't made clear to us when we could actually go and help ourselves, very disappointed which is a shame as have enjoyed previous visits. Probably wont go again.

We came here as quite a large group in a late booking on a Friday which they did very nicely accommodate. The meals all arrived mostly fine but my green curry with tofu arrived with a piece of chicken in it which just isn't really acceptable. They offered to change the meal but I hate food waste so I just searched the food thoroughly before continuing and it was just one bit. Another friend has to wait a while for her food after we all had hers but it wasn't too long.I'd give it a lot more stars if not for the chicken because it was very tasty but that just wasn't acceptable. I won't be eating there again.

Went with friends and had a great meal. I am vegan and this was not a problem. The soup was the best i have eaten in years, i would go again just for that. Everyone enjoyed the food and service.

Really lovely place. Having spent several months in Thailand a few years ago it's often hard to find food that's as good and authentic but this place really hits the mark. Would highly recommend, definitely the best Thai restaurant in the area.

將近聖誕節，和朋友到這裡吃晚餐，餐牌選擇多，我們點了數項咖喱，味道很好，也點了冬蔭公湯，對我來說有點辣，但有海鮮香味，整餐飯很不錯，店內人客不算很多，環境安靜，很適合客人慢慢聊天，職員也很友善替我們合照。在Sheffield不多泰國餐館，這家的水準不錯。

I love the food at Thai thai ka - a very simple cafe and the food is excellent. The portions are not huge which is not a bad thing. When a dish says spicy that's because it is. I go there on a regular basis.

A fun place to try new foods with a family. Friendly service, good food (great Thai salad and delicious proper edible garnish!) / not a lot of atmosphere, so it wouldn't be my choice for a romantic couples night! Great local eatery- lucky to have you.

Went for an evening meal with friends and their two sons. It was excellent. The restaurant is nicely set out, modern and fresh. It has a full bar. The selection of food on the menu was vaste with a great selection of meals for sharing! The adults had mixed starter platter to share and the boys specific dishes. Again for mains the adults had two different set meals to share and the boys specific mains. The food was very varied but all was lovely!! There could be a dish you simply don't like eg I'm not a fan of green curry but with so many others in the set meals you won't go hungry. Each dish wasn't huge but the overall volume was plenty and I was certainly full! The prices were good value, not the cheapest but you get what you pay for. I'd definitely recommend and be revisiting when we next visit Sheffield. We were never rushed and service was really good.

We went in, we sat down, we got up and we left. It was busy and there was a lot of noise, it was a small restaurant and the buffet was tiny so we didn't want to stay. That's all I can say as we weren't there for 5 minutes.

Have eaten in at Thai Thai Ka and ordered takeaway and the food has always been consistently good. Have never eaten at the buffet purely because the choice of food available seems quite limited. We have eaten both vegetarian and meat dishes and feel the quality was excellent. The portion sizes are also large and we have left a lot of food on both occasions. I would thoroughly recommend the Massaman curry and trying the Thai sticky rice. Although maybe a little pricey especially for a takeaway, you get plenty of food for your money and a wide choice of authentic dishes. Would definitely eat here again.

We love authentic Thai food and have been to this restaurant and enjoyed it before. We decided to try their Tuesday Buffet and enjoyed it. Whilst there was lots of choice and you can eat as much as you like I think I personally would prefer to order from the A la Carte menu. We like our food "Thai Style" hot and the buffet food whilst being very tasty was not particularly hot. We will go back to the restaurant but for A la Carte hotter dishes.

Another amazing visit. Our junior football team had our end of season players meal at Thai Thai Ka. Accommodated for the lads with every need. Top quality Thai food and service. Cant recommend highly enough. Give it a try!!

Upon checking if the vegetarian curries were vegan I was passed the allergen list which said they contained fish. The lady then brought me out the packet sauce they use which showed it had shrimp in it. The food I could have was quite good and the portion sizes were large. The staff were very friendly but just didn't understand about vegetarian food which was disappointing.

Really good veggie food. I always get the Thai red curry with tofu and it's so good I crave it for days afterwards. Service is good, never had any problems. Not too expensive. Nice fresh, clean atmosphere. I can't wait to go again.

We were looking forward to a nice meal after reading reviews.Waited 30 minutes for starter to arrive, a share platter. Then waited 1 hour for mains to arrive, only brought out half the meals, Rice and noodles were cold before curry arrived.Food was bland and not anywhere near Thai food I have had before.Complained to manager who offered a voucher for a free meal but I would not eat here again.Staff seem miserable and lethargic.

Went here when my family came to visit.Very welcoming place, huge menu and very well-priced. Ended up ordering way too much food as their portion sizes were very generous. The food was all very good, was a nice evening altogether.

We called here around 9pm on a Friday Night. No trouble getting a table. Service was very welcoming and friendly. Menu was extremely varied. We ordered Spare Ribs and Satay which were both delicious and very good portions. Next we had Beef Massaman and Beef in Holy Basil with Thai Rice and some noodles. The meal was lovely. All the food was good and with two large Singa beers the bill was around £45. A bit expensive but we felt the meal was worth it and would definately come again. We have also had Takeaway from here as well which was also good.

Had a lovely meal here, very impressed by the main courses, my boyfriend said it was the best Thai food he's had outside of Thailand! very reasonable prices too. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because service was poor, it was a very busy evening, but even still we were waiting a long time for plates to be cleared and food to arrive. Still had a great evening and will definitely try again for a takeaway!

We have been to Thailand many times and love authentic Thai food and we were no disappointed on our first visit to this restaurant.We had a very enjoyable meal including Pork Panang Curry and Crispy battered‏ cod in a sweet chilli sauce. Both were excellent.We will certainly be returning to this restaurant in the future.Thank you

Don't hesitate, book a table, it's really good. Unusual Thai dishes as well as old favourites. Veggies and vegans will have a ball.I shall keep coming....

Went there on a very wet day so perhaps not typical. Place was empty except for us. Room was a little cool but must say food was excellent a fair priced.

I've reviewed this restaurant before but last night's visit was so good that I wanted to review it again.It was Friday night so the restaurant was quite lively but we managed to get a table for two without booking. We got a friendly welcome and the staff were all pleasant and attentive.We shared sweetcorn cakes to start which were good but the best thing was the main course. We shared two vegetarian dishes, the vegetable green curry and the tofu stir-fried with chilli and Thai basil - they were both excellent. Quite fiery (but the waitress had checked how hot we like our food so we could have had it milder if we wanted), lovely flavours and ample portions. Served with rice (a portion of steamed and a portion of sticky) and a couple of drinks each and the bill came to just over £30 so excellent value too.I don't know whether they've improved the decor or the table layout since last time we visited but I found the atmosphere warmer.

Went here a couple of weeks ago on a Saturday night. We hadn't booked but there was only 2 of us and we got there at 6 and were the only people in the restaurant other than the staff. We ordered fairly quickly as I'd been before and knew what I wanted and although the the starter came in the usual time you would expect, we waited 45 minutes after we'd finished the starter for the main to arrive. That was an hour after we'd ordered and I know from having being there before that it doesn't usually take that long. It was obviously they'd forgotten about us as the restaurant filled up as we saw some staff look over in horror at us when they realised we still hadn't been served. Food was amazing but by the time it arrived we weren't hungry anymore. Pretty shocking service.

We usually go here for lunch, have the set menu and add on dishes from the main menu. Again the food was excellent, service very good, price good and thoroughly recommend it!

Food here is great. Have been before and gotten take away from here several times. Tonight I went to the all you can eat buffet and once again impressed. good value for money (£9.95). Would definitely recommend.

We love the menu of Thai Thai ka, we have always enjoyed delicious food in relaxed surroundings. If you like Thai food this is the place for you, if you haven't tried it before this is also the restaurant for you as they happily change the 'heat' if you wish to have a milder version of your chosen dish. The staff are beautifully dressed, attentive and smiling.

I was on night release from the Royal Hallamshire Hospital, and whilst the service and staff there had been wonderful, boy I needed a break. I wasn't expecting much, we had no specific plans, or ideas as what to expect. Something one up from a greasy spoon would have been fine. My girlfriend and I just walked up Newbold Road and there it was. Thai - perfect - just what the Dr ordered. The place is clean and fresh, the menu all the things you'd expect. Service was pleasantly prompt just long enough to set those juices flowing. The food itself is, however, exceptional, unbelievable. It is as close to Thailand as I have found in the UK. The spices mean it, the limes are subtly tart but the blend of Basil's, ginger galangal and various shrimp pastes. Stick your head in the kitchen if you don't believe the authenticity. Not an English label in sight. This place is terrific and I will be back.

Visited here recently, it's a little bit mixed of what it's trying to be....a restaurant or a cafe? We had our order taken and the waitress asked for the numbers on the menu rather then the names of the dishes and secondly the waitress left the docket on the table...thought this to be a little strange as it certainly looks like a restaurant as the decor is to a good standard.The food was good but found it very expensive 50 pounds for two starters and mains and a drink had the same standard of food at Thai cafes before at a much lower price .

Hi All,We have been to Thai Thai Ka few times now. Its a lovely place to enjoy quality food for reasonable prices. The staff is very helpful and efficient.I had always enjoyed their green and red thai curry (both chicken and vegetarian) served with Jasmine rice. They do special 2 course lunch (starter & main) for £8.95 per person. Its good value for money with healthy food option and you know that its freshly prepared with quality ingredients. They now do a buffet on Tuesday evenings for £9.95 per person. Its a place worth trying for ........ Desserts and coffee can be much better, but you will enjoy their speciality tea's.Cheers xx

The missus and I went up to this restaurant on possibly the hottest day of the year and you could tell. Stiffling heat in the restaurant, there was a vague attempt at getting the temperature down with a couple of little fans but when it feels over 30C it spoils your appetite somewhat. To be fair, the food was extremely good - we went for the á la carte not the Tuesday buffet. Very fresh tasting and nicely presented. One of the nicest Thai meals I have had. However, the room was just so hot it spoiled it. The staff were very friendly however they did bring the starters and the mains at the same time. Maybe that is how it is supposed to be done - if so, don't call them starters! I think slight breakdowns in communication have been mentioned in other posts but it was not a problem.If the room temperature was more reasonable I would probably have given a four rating. Nice, would like to go back on a cold day.

We have eaten at Thai Thai Ka on serveral occasions since discovering it, and each time has been an amazing experience. We are vegetarians and the variety of food has always been varied, fresh and authentic. With each visit the food has been extremely tasty! The staff and management have always been incredibly friendly and accomodating, especially towards our vegetarianism, and even with a busy restaurant they have been eager to chat which gives it a very personal experience. Highly recommended!

I think I have visited Thai Thai Ka 4 or 5 times now. We have been for the lunch deal which is a total bargain - £8.95 for two courses with quite a few choices on the list, the Tuesday buffet which is £9.95 from 5.30pm and we have eaten off the regular menu in the evening which I think we spent around £30 on for two starters, two mains and two drinks. Not bad at all! The value is brilliant. We often don't eat Thai despite it being my favourite as its so expensive normally but the place is great value and tasty. During the buffet I believe the choice changes each week. We were very pleased there was a good variety of starters like chicken mince sesame toast, chicken wings, sweet corn fritters, deep fried tofu.. For mains there were noodles and rice with a variety of curries and others mains like sweet and sour. There are also salads, prawn crackers and desserts. The place was clearly popular I think every table was full. The decor is more cafe style which I like and the service isn't fussy. Again which I like. If you want a luxury Thai experience this isn't the place. But we find it clean, relaxing and welcoming every time.

went last weekend and it was absolutely fantastic! we had the veggie sharing starter (which was amazing) followed by a thai green tofu curry, pad thai and vegetable jungle curry with rice. So much food and every dish was just perfect. Jungle curry is really really hot and we were greedy by ordering it so we didn't finish it but both other dishes went down a treat. Staff were friendly, atmosphere was a bit dead at first but picked up about 7.30. Large bottles of singha beer are highly recommended and compliment the meal nicely but make sure you order water if you get the jungle curry! we paid about £40 for both of us with a starter, 3 mains to share (which was definitely too much), a rice to share and a large bottle of beer each, which I think is really good. Will definitely be back!

Took wife and kids.whilst the food was acceptable the service was a little unorganised.brought main course out before clearing starters.the decor also could do with being a little bit mor authentic. Rather like being sat it a cafe than a restaurant.overall rating average

I visited Thai Thai Ka as a birthday treat with my friend. We decided to eat here as we both love Thai food and it had been highly recommended. We were not disappointed. The waitress service was brilliant, the staff were friendly and welcoming. There was a good selection of food to choose from. The service was extremely prompt and the food was sublime. The portions were a very good size.The atmosphere and the decor of the restaurant was stylish and modern. It seemed very clean, fresh and welcoming. The background music was perfect, it was not overpowering. The toilets were clean and pleasant to use.It really made my birthday special and I would happily recommend my friends and family to visit. I will definitely visit again. Thank you Thai Thai Ka for a beautiful meal :)

Make sure you book this popular Thai restaurant! It gets very busy, we were lucky to get a seat!Fantastic choice of food, even for the vegetarian palate, immediately couldn't handle all the choice so had to go for their set menu - they have 6/7 and 2 are vegetarian.The starters were really tasty, inlcluded a selection from parcels to tempura-like vegetables. Mains had an array of sauces to go with mixed vegetables or tofu. For afters, ice cream and a coffee/tea. Been previously when it first opened - the service has really improved now, I will definately be returning to visit again.

we add the full menu choices with no offers.We had fishcakes with sweet chilli sauce and deep fried tofu with a peanut sauce for starters. Too much tofu and not enough fishcakes but we split and had enough food. Also sauces were the same - sweet chilli sauce with peanuts in it :)However both were tasty although the fishcakes could have had more green beans and kaffir lime leaves in them.Mains were pad thai which was very tasty indeed and Gaeng Panang Tofu which was delicious with enough kaffir lime leaves!Good size portions with some left to take home....Would go again and would go every day if they did a Som Tam
