Was OK value for money but food was not great. Starters were over fried so that there was little taste other than crispy oil. Soup was a broth that was overly spiced that you could not taste anything other than chilis and then the mains tasted the same and overly salty. was ok for a quick pop in for something convenient near to the hotel, and as long as you do not have high expectations is only mediocre

Ate here recently, good,location close to 2 hotels. Waitress got our drinks order wrong, but the manager quickly sorted things out. Our food was overly salty which really spoiled our experience. A friendly word to the manager……..both of your waitresses on duty would be better advised to avoid leaning against the pillar, chatting away near the entrance. There are always things they could be doing other than looking bored and uninterested as to how clients are enjoying their meals. We are normally generous when it comes to tipping, but as there is a 10% service charge in place, we decided that was sufficient. I always expect to see Thai staff in a Thai restaurant, but not on this occasion which is a poor sign to be honest and makes you wonder how authentic the food being cooked really is.

Entree was overcooked and tastless, main curry arrived and needed to wait 5 minutes for the rice. Yellow curry was nice. Place was very average and the manager was quite rude to his staff.

Run by non Thai people (did not see the chef) food was tasteless and in no way authentic. Two London wild boys as waiters cashing in on 2 big hotels near by delivery nothing in service or food quality . Such a shame this could be. made into such a great restaurant.

Food and service were good However, when I paid, I was told that only cash was required, so I didn't have enough cash on hand, so I ended up paying the remaining amount with a card. In that case, you should pay by card from the beginning. In addition, a cola that I didn't ask for was added. It's a shame because the food is delicious

I had all the time today since my accommodation is 20 steps from this hotel, looking at the reviews still wanted to try and review myself. First of all service was quick. There were only 2 people working so they were all around the place. 🌟I liked the green curry chicken and spice levels just perfect. Quantity was good aswell.I thought the curry is given with Rice but maybe thats just in the US. Here they charge additional 2 pounds for the rice. 🥃ordered moscow mule, that could be improved. My drink wasnt as good as the ones usually i drink. Otherwise staff were welcoming, i would recommend to try it out. Also, it was busy for a wednesday evening.

We had a very good experience on that day . Food is great and we are well accommodated. Also we’ve been served by the owner of the restaurant and got some freebies too (pot of rice ) ! 😃

The food was delicious and reasonably priced. The staff were courteous and helpful. The restrooms were very clean.

We were looking for somewhere different to eat and didn't fancy eating in the hotel which is very expensive. Walking past the Thai Terrace we decided to go in, and had one of the best Thai meals we've had for a long time. The staff are very friendly and efficient, we were seated quickly with drinks and food did not take long to arrive. It was very good, hot and plentiful and very tasty, and very reasonably priced for the Kensinfton area. Definitely would recommend a try!

I’ve been here multiple times, and I can’t praise this place enough - I’ve never had such amazing Sea bass in London! Their Thai food is BY FAR the best I’ve had, and the owner, Tony, is one of the most generous, attentive and friendly people I’ve met - you feel like you’ve known him for years! His staff is also excellent and go above-and-beyond to make sure you’re happy with your food. They’re also extremely fast! I could literally go to this place everyday - it feels like home. Wish I could give it more stars!

The man at the bar is very rude. I took a half of bottle of water, he poured the water into a glass without my permission, and said because he also sold water, i can’t have my bottle on the table. It seems that he is the boss, and he gave order to two servants. As for food, I ordered pad thai, the shrimp is obviously frozen for quite a long time. There is no service but charge me 10% service fee. Definitely avoid this place, there are plenty of restaurants down the main street!

A group of us is visiting London for an event and we decided to take a walk for dinner right before our rehearsal. We had ample time to eat and go. Restaurant seemed really promising due to not being busy and pretty good-looking menu. When we first got there, we got sat down and were ready to order, and they took our order. It wasn't bad at all at first. A sudden rush in the restaurant started, and more people came and mind you, there wasn't anyone there when our group was there. We sat there and we had our drinks brought to us and it wasn't bad. We waited for over an hour in the restaurant, and no food has been brought to us. But other tables have been getting their food and they came after us. The food other tables were getting was food that some of us order similarly. As we asked how long of a wait it is for our food to come, because we had to get to rehearsal, the waiter came to our table and slammed a beer on our table and said this is on the house due to time wait. It was quite rude. We also noticed the smell of pot due to the waiter going to smoke. I think he forgot our order. Waited another 15 minutes, and we asked again and thought about getting it as take out. The waiter first agreed and said it would still take a little time. He then rudely came back and said we are just going to cancel the main meal and pay for just the drinks. It was very rude. We also found out that after we left after trying to get to rehearsal, they overcharged us. Overall, it was not a good experience, and some of us were quite hangry. I understand that the food was probably delicious but did not get the opportunity and was very disappointed.

ok so- just don’t go here. Pad Thai taste like lemon- doesn’t even smell like pad Thai or any Thai food- looks like they fake the Thai smell coming from the restaurant and then bring u some fake watery food. Waiters seem a little grouchy and as if they are in a hurry. Peanut sauce taste water with brown food coloring and pepper. Only ingredient they use seems to be vinegar, water and lemon. Food presentation is also bad.

we recently visited the Thai Terrace on our weekend trip to london. The food was not authentic as it was horrible, and was shocked at the appalling attitude of a waiter, who looked disinterested and chucked the plate on the table when serving the food.

Beautiful and cosy. Went for a bite after 4pm still serving food. Delicious. For the price and location I couldn't fault it just wished I read the sign outside as the do a 3 course meal for less than £17.00 Everything was good except that I wanted a cappuccino and the machine was not working. London is very expensive to visit Next time I know where to go for food!

Visited Kensington Thai Terrace for the first time since 2010. It was not a pleasant experience (waiter-wise). Our waiter seemed arrogant and rushed us to our seating (I mean when the waiter wears a fake golden Rolex and has a black T-shirt with the words "BOSS", alarm bells should have rung before us stepping in) without us ever having an oppurtunity to choose a seating. He served us our drinks by holding the rim of the glass with hus fingers. He ignored us when we were leaving. Food was good but the golden days when we were met with welcoming waiters in the top floow are long gone.

5 - delicious green curry; just enough spice without being overpowering. My daughter had the Pad Thai, which she loved - her only complaint was that there was too much food and we had no where to reheat leftovers. Staff were friendly and accommodating of my food allergies.

I recently visited Kensington Thai Terrace and had an extremely unpleasant experience, primarily due to one Lebanese waiter. Upon arrival, despite there being many more comfortable and available tables, he insisted I sit at the worst table right next to the dishwashing area. His attitude was blatantly dismissive and unwelcoming, and it felt like he was reserving better tables for white patrons, which was deeply disheartening. Throughout the meal, his bad attitude was apparent, but I tried to ignore it as I wasn’t feeling well. However, when it came time to pay, his rudeness escalated. Instead of coming to the table to handle the payment as is customary, he rudely pointed me to where I should go and pay, which felt very disrespectful. The most distressing part of the experience was as I was leaving. Out of nowhere, he started slandering Arabs (I am Arab myself), launching into a completely unprovoked verbal attack. It seemed as though he was trying to provoke a reaction from me, which left me feeling extremely upset and bothered. Overall, this was a horrible experience, and I left the restaurant feeling deeply discriminated against and disrespected. I would not recommend this place to anyone, especially if you are looking for a welcoming and respectful dining environment.

My experience here was great. The owner was friendly and made sure to be attentive. Drinks are tasty and the red curry beef was really a delight! Try the ribs appetizer, you won’t be disappointed!

I recently visited London Kensington Thai terrace with my friend and unfortunately encountered a deeply troubling incident of racism from one of the male staff members. While waiting for dining there, I was subjected to offensive remarks and discriminatory treatment based on my race. The male staff leave the menu on the table then left. After we ordered the food he passed the drink menu to us, while we read the drink menu he went back to the bar keep drinking and said F word few times while we were waiting at the table. We stared at him and he said:I can’t hear you in the next 5 minutes. After that he even ask another female staff to speak to us. Then we feel very uncomfortable decided to leave he came and asked “what’s wrong ”in a very rude way. I ask him to say again what did you say just now,he said many bad words even Fxxx and get out. We left immediately. We don’t want to argue with a drunk and who is also a racist. This behavior made us feel unwelcome and deeply uncomfortable. I won’t recommend anybody go this restaurant unless you want to be treated like this!

Our recent visit to Kensington Thai Terrace in London fell short of expectations, not only by the lackluster food but also by the disrespectful behavior of the waiter. While we anticipated that the food might not meet our expectations, we certainly did not expect to encounter rudeness from the waiter. We had hoped for a pleasant dining experience but left feeling disappointed and unlikely to return. It was the attitude of the waiter that truly soured our experience. Throughout our meal, we felt rushed, as the waiter impatiently hovered nearby, seemingly eager to turn over our table. At one point, while we were still in the midst of our meal, the waiter abruptly attempted to clear our plates, disregarding our evident displeasure and interrupting our conversation. Moreover, their tone bordered on impolite, as they repeatedly inquired about dessert options in a manner that felt intrusive rather than hospitable. While we understand that restaurants may have constraints on time and space, but from the beginning til the end it’s just in an hour, and the restaurant is pretty empty. The manner in which we were treated was unacceptable. Even if the food had been exceptional, the disrespectful conduct of the waiter would have marred our overall impression.

Staff were very welcoming and friendly, they accommodated our group of 9 people without reservation. Great food, only constructive criticism is that the menu is a little unclear for vegetarians however the staff explained it well

Thai curry is very authentic..rice kinda chewy just to add the staff are not so welcoming Its not my vibe even if I find food flavourful.

My wife and I stayed at the Holiday Inn nearby and decided to have Thai tonight. The food was okay, but not authentic Thai, drinks were very expensive, but the service was arrogant and abrupt. There was nothing authentic Thailand about our experience. Hugely disappointed.

Food took way too long to arrive, food was way too expensive for what it was and staff exhibited aggressive behaviour and harassed customers.

Cozy restaurant, great service and delicious food just steps away from our hotel (capstone Tara or Holiday Inn and High Street Kensington Tube Station. They offer a wide variety of starters. We highly recommend the short ribs. Our shrimp pad tai was perfectly prepared. We enjoyed our dinner so much that we returned the next day for a soup lunch. The coconut milk, chicken mushroom soup was delicious. This restaurant will not disappoint!

Walked past and saw the lunch time 3 course special. 3 courses for 16.95 Very good value . Delicious chicken satay and red curry . Will be back

Ganz in der Nähe unseres Hotels gelegen sind wir auf dem Rückweg hier vorbei gegangen. Das Essen war sehr lecker und die Portionen war mehr als ausreichend. Auch mussten wir nicht lange warten. Wir empfehlen das Restaurant gerne weiter .

Very rude Arab server that told us he was the owner. The food was ok nothing extraordinary I prefer Rosa’s Kitchen. The place didn’t feel clean at all. There was a spider on our table. I would only recommend to my enemies.

We are staying at a hotel near by and decided to visit here for tea. We arrived at 5.30pm and we was the only table in there. We have been to many thai places and know good food and this certainly wasn't pleasant! I ordered spare ribs in honey as a starter and my husband ordered Thai spice sausage. Both arrived after 40 minutes which was ridiculous given we was the only ones in here. The sausage was not a sausage it was a round chicken pattie. The ribs were cheap tasting and awful and I left them. Main course I ordered massaman and he ordered Thai Green curry. Both dishes we are familiar with and this certainly wasn't like wr know Thai curry to be. Massaman tasted like tomato soup! Thai Green was watery and both dishes did not taste nice A women on the next table arrived after us and said is it good food. We both said no it's absolutly awful we won't eat it. Owner came over and said what's wrong so we told him. He was VERY aggressive saying I've been here 30 years and had no complaints! Just leave he kept saying don't pay for food just drinks and get out. Very abrupt and intimidating he was. We did just that paid for drinks and left! If I had seen the other reviews before then we would not of gone. Save your money and go somewhere that deserves custom. This place does not!

Delicious Thai food, portion is decent. Taste are rich and not too sweat. If you are from Asia, they don’t have fresh Chili padi and only provide chilli flakes. If you craving Asian food. Here is a good choice! You can try.

Great place, staying in the hotel that’s right next to this place and oh my the food is absolutely amazing full of flavour which had made the experience great, we had 3 course meal and a everything was delicious, The service was great there were three workers including the boss and all were polite and very welcoming, Will definitely come again if we come down Kensington again!

I went in with some colleagues to this restaurant mainly because it was raining close to the hotel we were staying at. The welcome was in fairness ok. Through the evening the service was pretty good and food was just ok. The issue came to when we went to pay to of my colleagues attempted to pay the bill with the company credit card for some reason the transaction didn't go through even though the cards had worked perfectly fine during the day. The owner then came over and insisted we go to a cash point and get cash out. He saw the issue however being solely with us. I then used my card and the transaction worked just fine. The owner put a right dampener on the evening with his appalling attitude. I will never step foot in this establishment again. If anyone sees this I would recommend going somewhere else.

Der Service ist wirklich toll und auch das Ambiente stimmt inmitten von Kensington. Der Name Terrace ist etwas irreführend. Man sitzt eher gemütlich drinnen, kann aber auch "draußen" (ruhige Nebenstrasse Kensingtons") die Zeit verbringen, besonders bei leckeren Cocktails. Die Preise sind exklusive des Trinkgeldes, was dann aber in den Preis mit eingeht. Trotzdem zu empfehlen! Chears!

As someone who lived in Thailand for a long period of time I found the food very unauthentic, the cashew nut chicken was just full of Soy Sauce?? Also I’ve never in my life been charged to use a table? £6 table charge on the bill.

I didn’t wanted to write a bad review, first I tried to tell the manager/owner?! He was nice but I wouldn’t say top service either. I asked him if I can give an honest feedback, then I said he should change the chef as it wasn’t nice at all. Instead of acknowledging my feedback, he said that they had the same chef for 30 years and they had no problem. I wish I had checked the reviews first. My son was hungry so I went in. I did feel even before I got the food that it wasn’t going to nice. I should’ve left. Just two people with tap water. 2 main and two starters one of them being hallumi. £55. Not only it didn’t taste Thai it just wasn’t nice. The frozen calamari you get frozen from supermarkets tastes way better. I’m only writing after trying to be nice to the person who served. They are clearly not interested in improving. I swear I could sit and give instructions to my son he could make better Thai food than this. We are not even from Thailand. This is the worst Thai food I ever had. Even if you make it with a jar of green curry and madman sauce ready made you will have better food. Now all the positive reviews!!!! Have they even eaten any good food in their lives ? I wouldn’t have written this if the person had acknowledged my feedback because I was trying to help. Now I want to save someone wasting their hard earned money.

Didn’t take any pics but I haven’t had the best experience in London food wise. I knew ahead of time it wouldn’t be the place for me for food so when I saw this place has a few options I would actually like I was excited. I ordered the mild yellow chicken curry and my friend tried the Thai noodle dish with pork. We both enjoyed our meals and drinks as well. My only complaint would be my first drink, didn’t seem that strong when a Long Island Ice Tea usually is considered the strongest, but my second drink, a Margarita, was stronger so I was happy camper. My friend quite enjoyed his drink that was whipped up custom just for him. I was looking for possible options to eat again before I leave and noticed the low reviews so felt the need to leave one bc I quite enjoyed my meal. Might eat here again before I leave if I can’t find anything that isn’t just “insert food item + chips”. 😂 I love fries but other sides do exist and was craving some rice, which led me here.

After being seated we were rushed to place our order despite arriving over an hour and a half before closing. The host wasn’t very welcoming, he was blunt & he didn’t seem to care to offer good service. The food was not authentic at all, was barely warm & seemed to be microwaved or freezer food, definitely not fresh. We ordered 2 courses, but after tasting the sub-par starters, we asked if we could get the bill & the host basically refused and said we had no choice but to pay as the food was nearly ready. Another member of staff then jumped in to reinforce the pressure of having to pay. When we asked if we could at least get the service charge taken off the bill, the host laughed and chucked the bill on the table. He also claimed they’ve been selling Thai food for 30 years - you’re better off getting a microwave takeaway from Sainsbury’s and calling it a night. Even with the service charge taken off, the bill still came to £66 which was not worth it all considering the lack of flavour and small portion sizes. If I could give 0 stars, I would.

What a fantastic discovery ..was in the area for a meeting and passed it .decided to do a take-away: we are vegetarian ..all the dishes were superb ..very happy with the food.

I don’t like giving a poor review but this has to be done. We ordered fried rice and a chicken Basil dish. The fried rice was spoilt and smelled really foul and the chicken was not Thai by any standard. They served us our food within a min of ordering which could also indicate that they probably had the food spoiled and sitting out. The waiter rudely refused to accept any flaw with the rice even after we explained the foul smell. He infact said that that’s the most popular dish and is ordered over 100 times a day. Mind you there were 3 other people in the whole restaurant for dinner. Overall a terrible experience and if they had negative 5 stars that’s what I would give them. 😡

We were there for breakfast unfortunately it was disappointing. I ordered vegetarian breakfast, in my eggs I found some shells, avocados were not fresh. They didn't even ask how we want our eggs actually. Coffee was avarage. Only good thing toilets were very clean.

Came here evening of the 14th January around 6pm. We didn’t book, they were very accommodating, the food was good. Portions wise we didn’t eat everything. They have a cafe bar menu as well so good for fussy kids. Would definitely eat here again, considering holding a party here as they have a room upstairs. Price wise very reasonable. Around £15 per head for meal inc rice and a bottle of non alcoholic beer.

Very poor customer service, we were obliged to pay cash and the quality of the food was very low. We were also charged £4.95 for a large still bottle that was evidently tap water. There are better thai places out in London. Avoid.
