Thai Spice in Manchester

Amazing food, lovely staffs. A great place to have Thai food. Tried chicken satay, coconut cream soup and Thai green curry with steamed jasmine rice. Everything was delicious. I would definitely recommend Thai spice to anyone wanting to try Thai Cusine.

We , 4 of us, visited the restaurant on Wednesday evening and didn't know what to expect as it was our 1st visit. The food for all 4 of us was superb 👌, could not find a fault with anything. Would not hesitate to return.

This is a great restaurant that deserves to have a higher profile. It's been established on Beech Road as long as I can remember and has consistently provided top class, authentic Thai dishes.

A nice thai restaurant in the buzzing Chorlton Beech Rd area. Good food with a nice vegan pad thai with tofu & vegetables dish. Friendly staff & well-priced.

One of my favourite Thai spots, they do a starter+main special until 6:30 and have really improved service since I started going last year. Now they are prompt, friendly, and helpful and the food is very tasty and good value. Update: 5 years on, still one of the best Thai's I've had in Manchester, so happy with their menu offerings and the quality, always had a spot on experience, even the takeaway they package it so well so it's perfect to put together and eat at home.

The food here is just beautiful! I've never had anything that doesn't taste amazing. We don't live far away and the food often arrives within 15 min of ordering. Phad Priew Wann (sweet and sour chicken), veg spring rolls and tempura veg are my favourites.

Would give 0 stars if I could. Ordered a tofu dish and it had chicken in it. Absolutely disgusting, threw it in the bin. Don’t bother.

First visit to this restaurant and the food exceeded our expectations. It was fresh, fragrant and fabulously tasty! The menu has a good range of food so it was difficult to choose but all our food was delicious. Nicely presented and can’t wait to go back. Thank you for the great service.

Had a takeaway delivered, while staying in Chorlton, Manchester , quality of food very poor . Chicken was over cooked , dry and lacked flavour. Beef was chewy and lacked flavour. Rice was over cooked. We spent £114 on the takeaway and it wasn’t worth £20 !!!!!! Not really worth 1 Star . Wouldn’t recommend at all .

I have enjoyed several 5 star takeaway meals from here in the last two years, but unfortunately the last two - different dishes - have been spoilt for me. Despite requesting 'NO GINGER', once home, both meals have been found to have plenty of ginger. Yuk!

Nice intimate place. Friendly and helpful staff. Able to make dishes vegan. Definitely try the vermicelli salad it's amazing and very filling you could have it as a main dish. Will definitely visit again.

Excellent food excellent service

Updated review! Ordered twice again recently and the standard has got a lot better. However, there was some confusion on both orders and they ended up sending the wrong things… twice. Old review here: Ordered on Deliveroo after many recommendations and I was so disappointed. I had Tofu Red Curry and it was so very bland. Really watery. Tofu was three pieces of spongy mess, the veg was boiled to death and there was no flavour at all. Obviously paying extra for deliveroo made it much worse as I didn’t feel like there was any value in my meal at all. Would never go here again.

Not the best from Thai Spice ,we go there often ordered a not spicy soup for my daughter it was full of chillies. Portion size alot smaller than pre Covid.

Another wonderful meal at Thai Spice. Have never had a bad meal here. And plenty of vegan options for me. Everything we had was delicious and the staff were lovely as always. 11/10. Definitely will go again.

Met up with a friend midweek for an evening meal, and although the restaurant was very quiet we enjoyed a delicious meal. I had the massaman curry with a coconut rice - superb! My only gripe was that they don’t do desserts. If we had known that at the beginning we would have ordered starters instead. Great location in the heart of a bustling part of Chorlton

Love this food. Have been to Thailand about 6 times and are in many Thai restaurants outside Thailand but this one is up top. Not tried the Starters but sticking with soup, salads and wok dishes.

I have been visiting this restaurant for years with my friends and family. If you want authentic thai food, its definitely the place to try!To all those moaning on here, Yes- it's not as cheap as others but you get what you pay for. If you want out of a jar flavours, go elsewhere! The price is clear on the menu, why order if its expensive? Pick a cheaper option.Everytime without fail I have to have crispy tofu & prawn toast starters, the thai green curry (normally I love chicken but this only place where I enjoy tofu curry) with a prawn pad thai also. I love little independent restaurants and supporting them and I'd hate to lose this one.

We had our best takeaway during the first Lockdown from here and tonight came to celebrate my wife's birthday. It was a really lovely meal with lots of variety and so nice. Amazing sticky rice, green curry and the red lychee curry was stunning.

Just had the worst take away ever - food was way too salty, rice had lumps in it - very dissapointing - chicken was low quality - avoid!

Visited this evening to catch up with a friend. Food was great, we has several starters to share which was perfect. Excellent separation of tables, all which were cleaned between diners. Great service from the staff and excellent food.

We've been to Thai Spice many times over the last couple of years and previously it has been amazing - we would go whenever we wanted authentic thai. However, the last few times we've been the food has just been very very mediocre. The staff are still great, but now its unfortunately just quite expensive for average/bland food. Real shame. Hopefully they can recover it!

Yo mismo podría haber hecho algo mejor. Pedí el curry verde tailandés con verduras y era muy caro. Desafortunadamente, estaba muy claro que se había calentado en el microondas, y muy probablemente congelado, ¡ya que las verduras estaban completamente borradas y muy calientes! Incluían judías verdes, maíz tierno, coliflor, pimiento y estaban empapadas, demasiado cocidas y prácticamente insípidas y sin color. ¡Las verduras deben ser frescas y vibrantes con este tipo de comida! Muy decepcionante y no volvería a pedir. Y el arroz con coco, de nuevo muy caro, estaba exagerado y no sabía a coco.

I ordered a take away from here and received the wrong order, when my correct order arrived it had 2 long hairs in it and the veg was definitely not fresh. The tofu HAD ACTUAL MOLD on it. NEVER AGAIN

Tenían 4 - 5 cubiertas máximo y el servicio fue pésimo.Estuvimos esperando más de una hora para nuestra comida. Durante este tiempo, el restaurante priorizó los pedidos a domicilio y para llevar, al tiempo que dejaba de pagar a los clientes que esperaban.Hubo pocas disculpas y ningún reconocimiento de su culpa.Cuando llegó la comida era sosa. El plato anunciaba 3 * especias y apenas entregaba 1 *. Era casi incomible, con una mano muy pesada en el sabor de anís / albahaca tailandesa y sin sentido de proporción culinaria.Realmente no comería aquí si me pagaras y hay muchos lugares mejores en Chinatown.Esta era una fuente de dinero y leve en el nombre de la cocina tailandesa. ¡EVITAR! ! !

This is just about the best Thai restaurant I have ever been to. Done a few recently including Chaophraya and Tampopo but Thai Spice beats them hands down. The good was exquisite I really can't rate it too highly.

We ordered Thai soup, Thai red curry with chicken, steamed rice and dry beef chilly. All the food ordered was freshly cooked and had nice taste just like in Thailand.

Ordered off Deliveroo - Said my order was 'delivered' when it wasn't. Ordered again, and was told order would arrive in 30 mins - still hasn't. Avoid.

Thai food was nice. The portions of food was enough. Could not fault the staff. Exceptionally friendly. It was the first time I tried Thai food. Will definitely have it again. Price of food and drink was not expensive.

We wanted a cosy, quiet place to enjoy our meal and be able to talk. The menu looked great. We weren't disappointed. The delicate and subtle flavours and perfectly cooked dishes were heavenly. The staff were polite and attentive. Such a wonderful discovery. We will definitely be eating there again.

Although the set menu early evening prices were reasonable I felt the overall taste and presentation of the food wasn’t great. The taste was quite bland and not very flavoursome. The customer service also wasn’t great. I had to wave her down when we walked in, I had to get up to ask for the bill and no-one said goodbye when we left. I’m glad we tried it but I wouldn’t recommend or go back personally.

Thai Spice is a cosy little restaurant with friendly staff and good food. The curries are full of flavour, the fried tofu is nice and comes with a lovely dip. Unfortunately they no longer do chili ice cream for dessert. It's also not the cheapest place but worth a visit if you're near the area.

Thoroughly enjoyed my meal at this restaurant last weekend. Chose one of the set meals and was not disappointed. Particularly liked the coconut and chicken soup. Thought both the food and drink was very good value and equally good quality. The service was friendly and efficient and I am looking forward to returning soon.

Se reunió con dos amigos de Stockport y esto es bastante intermedio. Afortunadamente, está abierto los lunes por la noche y queríamos reunirnos relativamente temprano. Todos teníamos varios tipos de sopa para empezar, bastante variada, calurosa, picante, mariscos y cremoso coco. Seguido por otra variedad de comida tailandesa realmente buena, arroz al vapor, además de galletas de gambas, fue una comida muy sabrosa y en realidad probablemente más de lo que pudimos comer. El lugar era bastante tranquilo pero con suficiente compañía para sentirse cómodo y el servicio atento. No es el lugar más barato. Nuestra comida con una bebida cada una y cafés llegó a 90, pero no teníamos prisa y la comida era buena y tuvimos una larga, larga charla!

We came midweek for dinner. It was quite busy, but thankfully we got a table. We weren’t that hungry, so just got mains. The green curry with chicken was really nice with a good amount of heat. The service was also good. Would go back,

Always provides great tasting food. Great for dining in and occasional take out! Would recommend 31 – Phad Med Manuang Himmaparn, cashews are a nice touch.

Used to be good but now disappointing. Overpriced drinks, food laced with salt - presumably so that you drink more. Lamb Massaman had plenty of boiled potato in it but hardly any meat. Starters obviously straight from the freezer packet into the deep fryer. My companions' dishes were similarly lacking in flavour and attention. Good service but sack the chef. There are plenty of better eateries nearby. Avoid until it gets its act together again.

Small intimate resturaunt with a long menu. The food arrived quickly and was cooked perfectly. 3 of us dined, starters and mains arrived together. The mid week special is a good deal which we all went for.
