Visited in May and sat outside under shelter with a heater nearby.Food was quick to be served, really tasty (my fave was the penang curry!) And very friendly staff.Cocktails were lovely.Will 100% be going back!

Very tasty food, was not disappointed, full of flavour. The service was also very friendly. Outdoor seating available with heating. Will definitely return.

We’ve had two meals and 1 takeaway here. The food is absolutely stunning! We especially love and highly recommend the pinto for 2, the Pork Belly chilli & Thai basil is to die for. So I will start with the warm welcome , friendly atmosphere and accomodating. First time we have been, Jen served us with our drinks and recomended dishes.. Nothing was too much trouble and served us with such politeness and great service!!I went with thai green curry (chicken) best I've had ever and I've travelled a lot, my Mrs went for seafood noodles but with rice noodles.I cannot rate this place any more .. I promise if you come you will receive the best service , fast food service and so friendly. Thank you chef..the Thai prawn crackers are a must to have with both dishes. Big up to the chef !!! Fuimos esta noche a un plato para compartir y curry verde (pedimos un curry diferente, obtuvimos la comida equivocada, pero aún estaba bueno, así que no nos importó). ¡Señores que nos sentaron fue tan agradable! Sin embargo, la persona que aceptó el pago fue tan grosera que no sabíamos qué hacer con nosotros y se fue de inmediato. No me gusta el servicio superior en absoluto, pero esto fue tan malo y agregaron un 10% de cargo, y hubo muy poco servicio durante todo nuestro tiempo. Muy caro para lo que era también. La calidad no es buena para el dinero.

Me encantó este lugar, gran ambiente y la comida. Cuando llegó, no pensé que sería suficiente, lo dejé completamente lleno. Becky nuestra camarera fue genial en todo momento y nos atendieron muy bien. Definitivamente volveremos.

Buscando experiencia de comida callejera tailandesa en lugar de Tampopo o Wagamama. El servicio era bueno y cócteles a un precio razonable. Teníamos satay de pollo para empezar, la salsa era deliciosa pero el pollo era carne oscura y grasosa, desagradable. Tuve el katsu de pollo tailandés como plato principal, ¡casi sin salsa de curry! Es bastante difícil comer arroz y pollo empanizado con poca salsa, muy seco, sin jengibre en escabeche en la ensalada como es habitual en este plato. El personal no volvió a preguntar si todo estaba bien con nuestra comida, de lo contrario habría pedido más salsa de curry. Sin embargo, no nos gusta quejarnos y comimos la comida porque teníamos hambre. No lo recomendaría y no volvería. Hay mejores opciones en Manchester.

Realmente fantástica comida y servicio, fui el lunes por la noche y tenía el entrante para compartir, y los platos principales para compartir entre dos. Fue tanta comida y a un precio excelente. Mi novio vivía en Tailandia y dijo que la comida era muy auténtica.Todo el personal fue un crédito para el restaurante. 10/10 lo recomendaría.

La calidad del personal, la comida, el servicio y el ambiente fue increíble y no iría a ningún otro lugar para la comida oriental en Manchester. Como estudiante, mi experiencia mejoró aún más con un 20% de descuento para estudiantes sobre un precio que ya era bueno. Regresé varias veces y me impresionó cómo lograron un contacto mínimo, pero también mantuvieron el aspecto personal del servicio de mesa, y la distribución del restaurante aseguró que, a pesar de que las mesas estaban socialmente distanciadas, todavía se sentía hogareño.

Went with my young daughter earlier in the week and without question I found it amazing. From the tempura prawns, to the sensational starters this is a restaurant you need to visit I’m not a spice fan but found I could eat lots of things on the menu

The place overall was great. the food was excellent and the service and environment was even better.

While the food was very good and the waitresses lovely and caring, the manager on the floor was absolutely rude. Never had to deal with such angry and rude manager in my life. She did not know the word please and thank you. I felt we were a problem for her ( I want to repeat that the waitresses instead were absolutely delightful). Not looking forward to come back because of her.

I’ve visited several times and have always been totally pleased with the food.On my most recent visit, I had Thai Prawn Crackers to start (I always get these- a decent portion served with some faintly spicy sweet chilli sauce). I ordered Tofu and Cashew Nuts as a main- I enjoy this dish with chicken, too. It’s served in a tasty sauce with mushrooms, onions, carrots and other veg. For a side, it has to be the sticky rice.There are some interesting soft drinks on offer- I like the Sicilian elderflower lemonade.At Thaikhun, the food is always served super-fast and the service is amiable.On a Covid note, hand sanitiser is available at the entrance.I’m looking forward to my next visit already!

this is my first time here & i’m so glad i’ve came to thaikhun (my friend recommended me to this place because i told them i’m craving pad thai). the foods definitely worth every penny, the atmosphere is nice, the staffs are super nice too. i came here with a friend as it was my birthday. highly recommend :) if i can give the rating more than 5/5 i would !

The starter platte was absolutely amazing, I had the Thai red prawn curry, quite Spicy, but definitely worth it.

Thaikun quickly became one of my favourite restaurants when I first moved to Manchester so I chose it as my first meal out post lockdown and I had a great experience.Food was as good as ever with plenty of veggie options (current menu is a bit different to the one I found on the website tho). Service was very quick and polite whilst also following health and safety rules. Reasonably priced (portions are bigger than they look) just wish they had clearly labeled vegan options on their app menu - right now you just have to use the allergen settings to find dishes that are vegan/veggie

Food - food was tasty and arrived quickly however limited options for vegetarians (unsure if this was due to having to use limited menu due to COVID??). Some items were very unclear as to whether or not they were vegetarian which is worrying Service - great service, abiding by the covid guidelines Ambiance - restaurant was very busy as to be expected with a restaurant in the middle of Manchester on a Saturday night. Good vibes

My food was very tasty even I ordered something else. At the end, they charged me more but when I explained the situation they undrestood but they did not even say sorry for it.

My sister recommended this after visiting a different branch in Scotland. We visited on a miserable damp day, but had a warm welcome! Staff were so nice and explained the menu well. We shared a starter platter, then had a pinto box, a selection of curries, noodles and rice. Food was all fresh and quite spicy. Loved our visit, everything was perfect!

I visited Thaikhun for a friend’s birthday celebrations. Firstly, the staff were very warm & welcoming. The customer service was outstanding, our food was on our table within 5 minutes of having ordered it. The food tasted great, however, it got cold quickly. The vibes were also very unique due to the authentic Thai twist. We also received a complimentary birthday cake which made the experience at Thaikhun even better! The prices are very reasonable too. Overall, the whole experience was amazing, we will definitely return.

We visited on an early Saturday evening before going to the theatre. Thankfully we had booked as the restaurant was quite busy, but we were shown to our table straight away. The service was excellent, all the staff were smiling and happy. The food was absolutely amazing, could not fault it at all. We had a few different dishes and each had it's own beautiful flavour. We finished off with a Thai cocktail which was a first for us and enjoyable. Even though it was very busy we were not rushed to leave the table and when we left there was a queue of people waiting to come in which is always a good sign. We will definitely go back.

Like many others we recently dined here to take advantage of the January 40% off food offer (as we have done previously). Food and service was as good as ever but I was surprised to see only £7 deducted from our £88 bill (3 adults)...I queried the deduction but was told that the "Pinto" sharing dishes on the menu were not included in the promotion and that this was stated on the website (which it is, I checked when we got home). We are regular clients and actually picked up the promotional offer card when we ate there on the 23rd December - the card has no mention of the exclusion.No problem with the food although I do feel our waiter should have pointed out the fact that the Pintos weren't included in the offer when he took our booking.Slightly miffed but won't stop us eating here again.Posting this really just to highlight this issue so if you want to take advantage just check for exclusions before you go.

Our first dinner in Manchester was spent at Thaikhun and we had such a great time. Their interior made me feel like I was back in Asia and everything we ordered was delicious. I highly recommend the grilled chicken satay and the Panang Curry. For a passion fruit lover like myself, the cocktail Up Till Dawn was like pure heaven in a glass. The experience was even better due to the nicest waiters ever.

Great authentic Thai, would recommend a starting platter to share best way to to get the taste of Thailand. Reasonably price and great service

After spending 2 weeks travelling Thailand in December I was missing the amazing cuisine, so my boyfriend and I decided we would try a Thai restaurant in Manchester. There are many Thai restaurants in Manchester and we only chose thaikhun because there was a January sale on. It was such a shame that we did. The pad thai was sweet and lemony??? I had it about 10 times while in Thailand, in different locations and different restaurants and it NEVER tasted like this. There was barely any veg in the pad thai as well as this syrupy sweet sauce. Even if I didn't know what the real pad thai tasted like, I don't think I would've liked Thaikhuns version. It was just plain bad! My boyfriend had a fried rice dish which tasted like it had come straight out of a Chinese takeaway. Greasy too! We had dumplings to start which were also vile. Slimy, mushy and really fishy which was strange as they were pork and prawn, and prawn is generally quite a mild flavour. These were STRONG fishy. We ordered a side of chips which I wasn't expecting to be amazing from a Thai restaurant but they were so lacklustre- again, tasted like they had come straight out of a takeaway. Service also left much to be desired, stoic staff and we were never asked how our meal was. So disappointing. This is not thai food!!!!!

Best Thai food in Manchester, the pad thai is so much better than Wagamama’s or Tampopo!!! Definitely worth going

Visited on a Sunday afternoon, booked January 2020 offer through their website. Booked the saturday night and was able to get a table for the following afternoon so that was good. The website and menu states January offer on the a la carte menu.

The two of went to Christmas markets this year and did all the expected things on a good day out. We made out way to the oathouse which is one of our favs. We were looking for something that evening to eat, we had not tried before and this place was across the road from the oathouse. We had not booked and were not sure what expect. But I must say we were pleasantly surprised our food was lovely staff we very pleasent too.

Went for a meal on our wedding anniversary before we went to see a Jack Whitehall show. Although they were busy the waitress was very apologetic when our drinks were delayed. We shared a platter to start which was excellent, then had couple of dishes with a side portion of vegetables- everything was so tasty and fresh.

Nice vibe and great tom yum soup! I also liked the sticky rice dessert.

Came on 2nd January for a late lunch. There were a few people in but it wasn’t too busy. Their website said there is 40% off for meals booked Thursday 5th January to 30 January. On arrival I asked if it was for Thursday 2nd January,as the 5th is actually a Sunday. The woman serving was very blunt in saying that it is definitely only from 5th. When I pointed out that their website was advertising the discount did say from Thursday,she was quite rude!!

I was recommend it by a friend and I'm so glad I went. The food was absolutely delicious especially the pork belly. Service was fast and friendly.I would 100% good again.

The service at this restaurant is terrible. we went there on new years for dinner. The food was good but the staff were incredibly rude. Such a Pity. One of the staff members working there was slamming chairs around while cleaning and when asked to take our order, he abruptly responded saying they are low on staff and they are working on first come first serve basis and on repeated attempts of trying to catch the attention of the staff, no one responded. Our food was ready and waiting for 20 mins at the Kitchen counter before we called one of the waiters to bring us our food. By the time we ate it, the food was not hot anymore. I would advise people to reconsider going to this restaurant because nobody enjoys rude staff.

Very pleased that my friend and I were able to book a table fairly last minute at Thaikhun at 6:30 on a Friday night. We arrived 15mins late, but thankfully the restaurant didn’t seem to mind, and seated is anyway. We were given a nice round table by the window for the two of us, which was much appreciated. It is a lovely atmosphere in this restaurant - the decor is quirky and fun, something different and more casual for Spinningfield’s, and they played really good music in there! I usually don’t like music when I’m eating (and it was still a little irritating), but the songs were really good, current ones that you could sing along to.

Food is excellent as always and fast service, even better price for the sharing dish!!! only downfall is the waiting time to have your order taken.

So glad we came upon this cool place. The decor outside drew us in to this great location. The Thai food was really good, rice noodles with chicken was our best main dish order. Chicken satay was really good also. Specialty alcohol drinks were excellent.

As I promised in restaurant feedback if you are going to ignore my complain I’m going to leave my honset and not good review here. so...

Had specified that we are all vegan and everything ordered must be suitable as such, however the Tom Yum soup which we order was not vegan yet the waiter still proceeded to order it for us. Once the food arrived we realised upon tasting that the soup was infact not vegan. These sort of mishaps should not happen as luckily none of us were allergic to anything, but had we been then consequences would have been severe.

This restaurant is adorable with a tuktuk out front and vibrant colors inside. The food was good but not stand-out. We had a fun meal for 6.

Loved the Sharing Platter and the Pintos. The service was brilliant and didn't have to wait long for our courses even though it was a busy night. Would definitely recommend a visit!

Trendy Thai restaurant in the Spinning fields area of Manchester. Fairly good food, expensive but good beer and attentive service. Bit pricey.

Our food was Ok, not particularly exciting. Service wasn't great though, we had quite a wait for our order to be taken and then, when the food arrived (sharing platter) we didn't get any plates - i had to fetch two plates myself from the counter.

Very enjoyable meal at Thaikhun. Sharing platter for starters was delicious, then Massaman chicken curry with coconut ice cream to finish. All courses good. Lively and noisy surroundings. The restaurant was very busy so service was a bit slow but all five of us were happy with our menu choices.

As one of my 30th gifts, I had the pleasure of spending my gift voucher last night at ThaiKhun.

We ate here last night before the theatre. We really wanted to sit outside but there were only drunks being served outside. If you wanted to eat you had to sit in. No problem I guess. There is air conditioning inside.

Saturday night - pretty busy. That beer on darft - always good

The restaurant is well located near to many places where to have a drink after a good meal.

The food is always amazing here, we have been a few times now and it never disappoints. I introduced my fussy sister to Thaikhun on Saturday and my foodie niece and it was a BIG hit! The £15 pinto is great as you can try new things as well as having your favourite dish which is Massaman curry for me, the beef noodles were gorgeous and the beef melted in your mouth and the chicken in garlic and black bean sauce is also a winner. We managed to finally try desserts as the first review i did for here, they had run out of a lot of the desserts. We tried the Clementine Tart and the Nutella buttermilk pancakes both were lovely. See you again very soon.

Went for a booked dinner on Saturday evening with my wife being a Thai National she was very excited to come and have a look , on entering a lady who had little to no control of the front desk said your 10 minutes early please wait at the bar area , ok all good up to now !!!! 40 minutes later after total chaos trying to get a drink with one bartender to atleast 30 people getting angry waiting to be served we gave up not seeing the woman from the front desk and left empty handed, what’s the point of booking to be ignored . Won’t be back agin ! to be messed around when it costs me so much to get to Manchester for a night out spoiled by poor management and overcrowded chaos advice DONT BOTHER GOING there are loads of lovely places that don’t mess you about close by

As one of our party was a young Italian girl arriving in Manchester as a student, we thought we would show her how cosmopolitan the dining scene in manchester was.

Visited for the first time after hearing great things and it sure lived up to them, staff were extremely helpful polite and friendly, service was brilliant and the food was absolutely amazing, everything was gorgeous and superbly cooked would highly recommend here and can't wait to return.

Great service wonderful food great value. Love it here. The staff work so hard yet are so friendly. Any questions dont hesitate to ask. Just tried the tom yum soup for first time spicy but so tasty. Can't wait to return.

Sinceramente, nunca he oído hablar de esta compañía y deseo que abran en Londres. ¡Sé con seguridad que visitaré muy a menudo! La mejor comida tailandesa que he probado en este país.

Aparecí aquí sin reserva, el servicio fue muy rápido y la comida era de excelente calidad y generosas porciones. Recomiendo encarecidamente los pinchos de cerdo a la parrilla como entrante, las bolas de tarta de pescado tailandés también eran muy sabrosas y bien servidas. Iremos de nuevo.

Quick dinner after work with colleague. No reservation - no problem. Nice street food menu - orders taken quickly and the food turns up faster than any other place I have ever been - literally 2 mins from ordering, to having food in front of me ! Superb. And it was really tasty too. Slight gripe - after an action packed Manchester based day , I was proper hungry.... protein size didn't meet my needs.

On a weekend trip to Manchester we walked passed Thaikhun, it looked busy but still very inviting. We were seated in less than 20 minutes for a table of 6 and were all impressed with the speedy service. There was no waiting around to order like some busy restaurants can be like. The starters were out within about 10 minutes of ordering and the mains about 20 minutes later. All of the food arrived together and no one was sat waiting for their dish. I've visited many Thai restaurants over the years and I would definetely put this up there with the best, the food was exceptional and fantastic value for money. The venue itself had a great atmosphere and all of the staff were extremely friendly.

A truly authentic restaurant, which is decorated with merchandise and a oriental theme from the far east. I think this has been well thoughtout as it makes you feel as if you could be in Thailand when your eating your meal. The presentation of the food is outstanding, my food came in a small grate box and each item of food was separate and came with salad garnish and dips. The food melted in my mouth and tasted delicious and prepared to a high standard. This was one of the dishes that can be shared. I also had cocktails there, I had the Coconut Mojito which was excellent and I enjoyed this so much I had 3 altogether as I was there for quite a while. The staff are very efficient, polite and look after the customers.The restaurant and toilets are cleaned to a high standard. The whole experience is outstanding and I would highly recommend this wonderful restaurant. The cost of food and drinks is very good. Well done to all the staff at the restaurant!

We have been in the restaurant and had Thai delivered to us a number of times this year already... We love it! My boyfriend has tried most of the menu, I love the chicken penang curry with egg fried rice. Both of us have been very pleased with out orders everytime.

A group of ten of us went. The food was lovely and came out very quickly. The drinks however were super slow and we struggled to get water refilled and extra drinks. I think once we had order food we were a bit forgotten about. It was a Saturday so could just have been due to volume of customers, I would give it another go.

We visited for a friend’s birthday and had a great time. Staff were really friendly and the meals all arrived quickly, which was pretty good considering there were 16 of us. We both enjoyed our meals particularly the Rad na. The cocktails were also great. We would definitely return!

Came here for lunch with the Mrs. Hadn’t been for a while and the menu has been freshened up. Slightly disappointed that they no longer offer a lunch deal. I got the Bangkok burger and the Mrs got prawn pad Thai. Both were really nice. The meal and 2 soft drinks came to £27 which I thought was a bit steep. Still the service was really good and so was the food so would definitely recommend this place.

The thai green is crazy fragrant and flavourful with the richest consistency.
