I had a red duck curry takeaway, no (28) on the menu. It was the most disgusting food I'd seen and tasted. There was a film of oil on the top and the duck was grey and grissle. We used to eat in at this restaurant quite frequently years ago and always found the food to be excellent. I wondered why even on a Saturday evening, the restaurant always looked empty, tired, and quite scruffy. Definitely gone downhill, which is such a shame. So we thought of ordering a takeaway and not to judge a book by its cover. How wrong were we? Won't be eating any food from there again.

I had a delightful experience at Thai Moom last week with my family. The sharing platters were a highlight, and the Lamb Shank Masamun Curry was exceptionally delicious. The service was top-notch, making it a highly recommended dining destination.

This is our regular Thaimoom and it is the best local thaimoom. I love all the dishes and regularly come here for the duck and pancakes, sizzling prawns and the pineapple rice is delicious. Of course the salads are very special especially the papaya salad and soups. The deserts and mocktails are very special. I would highly recommend this Thaimoom in Pettswood. The service has at all times been excellent with staff always polite and willing to accomodate our requests.

Its low end takeaway quality food at restaurant prices. Its nothing special inside and the food just tastes like its all been defrosted and banged in the microwave or deep fryer. Never going to go back.

We were a big group. We ordered a good variety on the menu. The food was good, service was good. A very limited range for vegetarians though. The desserts were very good. There’s parking opposite the restaurant which is helpful.

Food has gone down hill. Not ordered from here for a while and wont do again. The duck dish was very grisley and the chicken tasted as though it was reheated.

Looked at the menu saw £5 for plain rice? I could buy 2kg of rice at the supermarket for that and feed the whole restaurant.

Thursday night dinner with 20% off on bill. You can bring your own wine which is good, can save money if you want a night drink. We had fish cake, papaya salad, tomyum prawn soup, stir fry chicken in oyster sauce and fried flat noodles with beef. Food are not bad but portion can be bigger.

First of all we had a lovely selection of starters. We have been coming here a lot it is always very good food and service. Highly recommend the lamb shank with coconut rice. Definitely will be back

Dreadful their supposed speciality Pad Thai made with rice, I piece of broccoli, one small tomato, two prawns and six tiny deep fried bits. The majority of the dish was rice. For that I paid £11.00. Never again, I know what good food is and this was not it!

We visited them on Mother’s Day night for a family dinner . Looks like we chose a wrong day as they were under staffed with lot of tables occupied. Despite of regular follow ups no body turned up to take order for 40mins even for drinks . Once attended we decided to order all at one go . Surprisingly food arrived well in time but they decided to serve mains first followed by starters 😔. Food was average . We liked the Thai red curry and noodles . I would say avoid there aloo chat , it’s not worth it . They were out of desserts so can’t comment on the quality . While paying the bill I suggested to Manager to ignore the optional service charge as the service was really not up to the mark but he royally ignored and charged us full . Clearly they don’t understand the customer experience. Will not recommend, though food was okish.

I know I’m going to sound like a Karen, but I want to save people money and save them from the horrid taste this place literally left in my mouth. Firstly (don’t go here for special occasions that only come once a year) What a mistake it was going here today. The table cloth and chairs were both covered with old dry food. The “deal” was a mothers day “special” £35 per person for starters and a main. The starters were nice as they usually are but the mains were putrid and I mean it. The cutlery and plates were really grubby too which makes you feel uncomfortable. The waiting staff weren’t great and I’m being polite. Came to paying the bill and the service charge for the meal was nearly £20, And to top that it was £10 for two small glass bottles of Diet Coke…. That came with a dirty glass and dirty ice… (if you’ve worked in hospitality you’ll know what I mean) People were upping and leaving while I was there, I wish we had done the same. Save your money, get a recipe book and a food shop.

Very friendly staff and the Indian food I had was great. Being able to bring our own alcohol was a plus and meant we could spend more money on food 😀 The only reason for 4 stars is that my wife's Massaman curry from the Thai menu was very watery but overall very good. Would recommend a visit

Fun night out, haven't done a 'BYO' in years. Staff were very friendly and food was very well presented and tasty. Would recommend for groups and parties as they can accommodate large tables easily. Very good all in all.

What an enjoyable Sunday, Thai and Indian food. Big variety of dishes. Buffet style so you can choose what you want. Staff were very welcoming and friendly , the lady Dao was lovely made us all laugh. Allowed to take your own alcohol with no charge. Set price was £25 but I did think adding service charge was bad. Overall delicious food, good service, if the price was cheaper we would visit more often 😊

Thai green curry amazing (as always) Chicken tikka - chicken over cooked, dry and burnt. Didn’t taste of tikka…awful. Sag aloo had too much spinach which was very dry. Bombay aloo was tasty but very oily Wouldn’t order again for Indian menu

Ordered on line, told to come in 30 mins by email which we did, told to wait 5 mins but waited 20, an apology but no acknowledgement that obviously they hadn’t cooked the food, I told them the experience want great the. Tried the food at home. If Thai is meant to be a bland this is great and many would like it as the reviews show, but this is nowhere near what a Thai should be. Greasy, no flavour, bland chillis. Extremely poor and at £50 for two (starters and main) do yourselves a favour and go to a decent place

Had dinner here recently, not sure what was worse the horrible bright industrial kitchen in full view with the door wide open or the food that arrives 11 seconds after you order it (obviously microwaved). Owners must be blind or don’t care about restaurant ambience or the interior presentation and how it makes you feel when dining there, will not be going back. Oh and not to mention giant pile of wood and rubbish all rammed in the corner of the restaurant once again in full view.

Just ordered home delivery. Absolutely delicious, lovely flavours. Definitely will be ordering again!

Threw the whole dinner in the bin outside. Disgusting. The whole restaurant inside was a shambles too. Empty bottles all over the bar. Dirty menus which were wet and sticky... with a HAIR stuck to one of them. No lampshade on middle light, table cloth on only 2 out of 20 tables. No music playing. And the as mentioned the food was disgusting. It was pink and tasted like MSG. But still charging the same expensive prices as when it used to be a good restaurant. £70 for a dinner we couldn't eat. Shame on you Thai Moon. You are disgusting thieves. The worst restaurant in petts wood. Well done.

Friendly and welcoming staff. No alcohol license it seems but can take your own alcohol. Soft drinks served... I was pregnant at time of visit so didn't make a difference to me and lowers the bill considerably. Tempura prawns had breadcrumbs rather than batter. Penang curry was good for main dish, and good amount of options on the menu. Overall, nice place although decor etc could do with a little bit of TLC.

We had a delicious meal, food was delicious hot and delightful to eat, and the service so efficient. Will most definitely be returning again soon

All dishes were yummy. Good amount of vegetarian options, and my kids loved the non veg dishes. Service was also very good. Meal was reasonably priced as we could bring our own alcohol.

I recently purchased a noodle dish with chicken for my mother. The dish itself looked pretty bland with only a few additions to the noodles, nothing colourful or fresh looking. Whilst there I purchased some spring rolls for myself. The spring rolls ( x 4 ) were bog standard ( probably frozen ) that are sold everywhere. I can't remember the exact price but it was over £5.00 for just the spring rolls. I appreciate that it probably has large overheads but unfortunately it did not represent value for money. I would happily pay more if I knew I would enjoy the food. Maybe up your prices but definitely up your game.

Very good restaurant halal chicken and fish

Been going to Thai Moom since it opened and getting take aways too. Seems to have gone downhill unfortunately. Coconut rice, fine as usual. But the Massaman curry had almost raw potatoes in it. Worst still, the stir fry dish Chicken Pad Med-Mamuang was ruined by loading it to the top of the tub with liquid (some kind of runny sweet & sour soup maybe? Horrible.) Why did they add that salty soup?? The chicken used to be sticky, crunchy and delicious. Instead it was a soggy, salty mess, vile. Thai Moom is expensive for a takeaway so it should do a lot better.

We went for the 'buffet' on Sunday, which was quite unlike any buffet we had been to before, because we were presented with a menu from which we could order whatever we wanted to, for the set price, and it was made fresh in the kitchen and brought to our table. The only stipulation was that we didn't waste food, so we were encouraged to not order too much to begin with, as we were free to order more food if or whenever we needed it. We thought that this was an excellent method of having a 'buffet', as our food was freshly made to order rather than being continuously warmed in large receptacles throughout the day, which would have made the food lose its flavour and led to a lot of wastage. We couldn't imagine anyone not enjoying the food at Thai Moom, as it was absolutely delicious. From the Tom Yum to the Green Curry to the rice and noodles, everything was excellent. The portions were the perfect size and the buffet price was pretty reasonable, too. We have been back since and we plan to visit again soon!

Fabulous set lunch with an extensive menu at a set price. Take your own alcoholic drinks and save a fortune.

Had a take away from Thai Moom, very underwhelming. The Thai curries were almost fluorescent in colour, flavourless and horribly runny. Everything else lacked flavour too so would not return.

We came here on a whim after visiting nearby & wanting a relatively quick bite to eat before heading off to Surrey. Service was great & the food was even better. We had the dumplings and shared these to start, which were perfectly cooked, with the meat melting in your mouth & the sauce really packing a punch. Followed by Beef Pad Kee Mao (drunken noodle) & chicken Pad Kra pow. Both again perfectly cooked & full of flavour, the meat was so tender it melted in your mouth. Happy couple, would defo return! The cost was great because it’s bring your own booze so my fiancée went to the local shop to get us some beers, £5 for 4 which saved us a great deal so great for those on a budget also!

We had a group of 12 of us, including children, and they were so accommodating and lovely. The food was excellent as always. Thank you so much for a wonderful evening.

Nice place, nice food, probably way too big for the amount of customers they had. Seem to have a leak around one of the windows.

Food is ok, probably wouldn’t win any awards but certainly not offensive. But unfortunately, the restaurant was dead, no atmosphere, no music, relatively cold and felt almost awkward. A real shame because it’s nicely done and the staff are incredibly nice and friendly.

Great restaurant, great staff and great food

Excellent Thai restaurant at the corner of Petts Wood High Street. It has authentic taste and elaborate menu. The staff is friendly and courteous. There is ample of parking on the roadside or station parking across the road.

Excellent service, great selection for a Sunday buffet and the food was fantastic!

Pretty diabolically bad. Admittedly a Sat. night but THAT was no excuse for signature soup so thin nothing was in it, clogged and soupy rice, prawns with no flavour at all and terrible lamb. No wonder their driver rushed off as if ashamed!!! So he should have been!!! Terrible, terrible restaurant. Avoid avoid avoid.

Terrible takeaway, really unbelievable. The soup had nothing in it but broth - the chef's special (prawn) was mostly grease, the lamb was almost tasteless, the rice was slimy. AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!!

We ordered food last night and it was fantastic, there was 5 of us and every dish was good. We especially liked the chicken Penang and green curry monkfish and it came on time.

Before you order, please read the bad reviews as I wish I had read them! My experience was below - Rubbish food and rubbish service when you feedback. My husband and I ordered the two dishes from their website for c£10 each (pictures attached) and the order came completely wrong. What is worse is that the each dish is only half the portion of the small container. Totally disgusting. It looked like someone’s leftover. We called back trying to get the order right and was told by their staff that the only way to get it right is to drive back (20mins for us) and bring the wrong order so that they will make it right. The receptionist Sam called us liars and accused us of having free food over the phone which is ridiculous as we paid £20 for our meal upfront and all we wanted is the right dishes. The customer service is shocking. AVOID! Re Owners rude reply - we paid for our food upfront so why do you think we want free food? I’ve told the full story. You are the liar here. Your website made the mistake and messed up our order. There was no customer services as you asked us to drive back and bring the food that is already opened so that you can sell them on to another customer! We won’t let you do that. We’d rather pay for your rubbish than letting you ruin someone else’s dinner. Enjoy those bad reviews! :)

My order was incorrect and I therefore asked for it to be corrected. When I raised this with the staff I was accused of being a liar by staff member Sam (if that is even his real name) and was told it was all my fault. Now how's that for customer service.

Amazing! We had a takeaway and it was so flavoursome. The Tom Yum soup was incredible!!

Ordered takeout through their website, nearly three hours later and it still hasn’t shown up. Have been trying to get through on the phone for the last 2 hours and it just keeps ringing out. Time to see what’s in the freezer I think!

The food is tasty, but I don't think the price can justify some of what is served. £2.50 for small bag of prawn crackers (which we expect thai crakers) which is half made up by the cheap white ones given at chinesse takeaway and the tiny tub of sweet chilli sauce (we had two) where only 40% filled up.... as a customer you feel slightly juped and not wanting to return.

We decided to give Thai Moon another try as it’s our local and the reviews were mixed, but unfortunately it didn’t live up to any of the positive reviews. The duck spring rolls had very duck in them and the pastry wasn’t completely cooked in the middle. Fish cakes were ok, dipping sauce had a good kick of chilli. Both curries were quite sweet. The massaman had very little chicken in it and no peanuts or potato to be found. The panang was very watery and extremely greasy. We poured off at least a centimetre of our. The prawns were cooked ok, but it was more a red curry, definitely not a panang. Overall, pretty disappointing - we won’t be ordering again.

Very rude phone staff, I was on the phone for 12 minutes as the staff could not get my details right, finally placed my order, as I was at a friends house (abiding by rules and dining in the garden) I offered to pay and I was refused delivery because my card wasn't registered to the address the delivery was too? They said they only accepted orders if the card was registered to the address as there was no way to process this? Absolute madness and they missed out on a £100 order. Lost my custom for good, such a terrible service and never even got to try the food... a lucky miss by the looks of other reviews? Blue chicken? Really? AVOID

My first time at this restaurant. My wife booked it for my birthday meal and I was delighted with the food, service and the restaurant. We went for one of the set menus. The starter was a platter of mixed hors d'ouvres, all really well presented and included spring rolls, sesame see toast etc. Each was perfectly cooked. We then had duck in pancake rolls which was followed by a really great range of mains which included meat, vegetable and fish dishes. The suite was banana fritter and ice cream. The bill was about £140 for four which didn't include drinks so it wasn't cheap but given the quality of the food and standard of service which were both excellent, so that's fine by me and there was more than enough for four adults. Will definitely be going back.

Very bad experience. Ordered a delivery for 6:45 pm. Got a message at 6:35 that order is on its way. Nothing delivered by 7 pm, called the restaurant and was told order will be delivered by 7:15..again nothing delivered.. Called again at 7;30 pm only to be told that the order is still not ready and they can dispatch it now if I want..on top of that, no apologies from the person over the phone. When I mentioned that I will leave a negative review for this behaviour, the person behaved as if he doesn’t care.

Tengo una comida para llevar de pato, curry y pasteles de pescado. Literalmente no había carne en mi pato, pura grasa. ¿El curry era todo vegetariano con unos tres trozos de pollo, y los pasteles de pescado eran como cebolla Bhajis? Nada de lo que esperábamos. Y teniendo en cuenta los precios, fue aún más una decepción, porciones pequeñas y sin arroz con curry: pedimos fideos en lugar de papas y no nos dieron ninguna. Gran pérdida de dinero. Las fotos muestran toda la grasa que tuve que cortar pero los trozos de piel aún están en la salsa.

Encontré este lugar hace unos 12 meses después del cierre de mi restaurante tailandés favorito en Westerham y Sevenoaks. Suele ser muy bueno aquí, pero nunca lo he visto completo por alguna razón. He visitado dos veces desde que se aliviaron las restricciones y la comida suele ser muy buena. Nunca tuve quejas reales. Tiende a ser un poco más alto en precio, pero realmente vale la pena. Me estoy convirtiendo en un comensal habitual allí y siempre estoy deseando que llegue.

Este solía ser nuestro mejor restaurante tailandés, pero nunca volveremos. El restaurante está bajo una nueva dirección. Fuimos a cenar, pero el Sr. almorzó tarde y solo quería comer un entrante. El resto de la familia pidió el menú buffet. Pero por lo menos sabíamos que la camarera que nos atiende seguirá verificando si el Sr. estaba compartiendo nuestra comida a pedido del gerente. Se sintió tan incómodo. La gente seguía pidiendo el plato caliente y el humo era tan abrumador con el chile quemado. Seguimos tosiendo y tuvimos que ponernos mascarilla. La camarera dijo que no hay ventanas ni extractores y no puede abrir la puerta porque otros clientes se quejarán. La comida estaba un poco salada, pero no le dijimos a la mesera porque el esposo quería salir de allí y en el nuevo menú decía que se cobraría por desperdicio de comida.No se sirve alcohol porque la nueva dirección pertenece a la comunidad musulmana. Tampoco tenían los cócteles vírgenes que pedimos.El lugar no es el mismo. Me sentí muy incómodo.

Vivo en el bosque de mascotas, he estado yendo aquí de vez en cuando durante algunos años.Ha estado menos ocupado a lo largo de los años, al igual que los estándares.La comida estaba bien o mala en el mejor de los casos, 4. 50 por un pequeño jugo de piña, (una broma). 63 por 2 y sin alcohol. Muy deficiente nivel, nunca tienen clientes, ¡y puedo ver por qué!Simplemente no puedo recomendarlo, no te molestes en venir aquí. A menos que quieras pagar una cantidad alta por no mucho¡No volveré con prisa!Compre algo de m & s en su lugar

ordenó antes y fue genial. Hoy pedí bolas de pollo, estaban frías y muy grasosas. Pedí el pato crujiente de hierbas con miel, huesos grasos, principalmente piel y muy poca cantidad de carne y también frío. el hoi sin se diluyó. muy decepcionante. Lo mejor fueron las galletas de gambas.

Primera noche desde el cierre de COVID y me decepcionó mucho.Nos encontramos con que la mayoría del personal usaba máscaras alrededor de la barbilla / cuello o la boca, pero a menudo la boca y la nariz no estaban cubiertas. Es totalmente inaceptable: use una máscara o no use nada.¡Las mesas se limpian con promesa! ! ! No había nada antibacteriano y el personal tocó los cubiertos a mitad de la comida para colocar la comida en la mesa. No se adhirió al distanciamiento social.La comida era buena, pero me sentí muy incómodo y no fue una experiencia agradable.Incluso estaban colocando parejas al azar en las mismas mesas debido a problemas de espacio.Creo que en este entorno actual, los restaurantes deberían hacer todo lo posible para que la gente se sienta segura y me temo que eso no está sucediendo aquí.

Amazing food but absolutely appalling service. Avoid unless they hire more staff

We’ve eaten at Thai Moom before, and found the food to be ok, I’d normally rate it a 3.5. Ordered a delivery early this week, and the food was really really poor overall. The chicken in the Thai red curry was tough, and we found several chicken pieces with a blue discolouration, had to bin it for food safety reasons. Also ordered a Pad Thai prawn and received a chicken dish instead, which again was tough and rubbery. Lastly the vegetable tempura was soft and soggy. Last time I eat here.

Siendo celíaco es difícil encontrar alimentos que pueda comer, etiquetan claramente sus alérgenos, lo cual es genial. La comida es deliciosa, se enfría un poco debido a la entrega en Orpington, pero no puedo quejarme de eso, ya que al menos entregan más lejos que la mayoría y ¡vale la pena! ¡Iremos en persona cuando las restricciones de encierro se alivien por completo! ¡Así que no hay quejas reales!

Pedido esta noche a través de Deliveroo. Tenía un tiempo de entrega anunciado de 40 minutos, pero la comida apareció después de una hora y 20 minutos. Faltaba un artículo, pero se negaron a volver a enviarlo. La comida estaba bien, pero nunca volvería a visitar debido al mal servicio.

Quality of food was pretty poor. Pad thai was greasy and the veg dish I ordered had 3 cashew nuts, the tub was half full and again was greasy. Tempura wasnt great either . Delivery was quick. Wont be returning , if it wasnt for a 25% discount I'd be very unhappy with what I paid.

Sabiendo que los restaurantes estaban a punto de cerrar pero que podían hacer comida para llevar, consulté con este restaurante tres veces antes del día del domingo 22 de marzo, ya que mi madre disfruta mucho de su comida. En mi última llamada telefónica les expliqué que llamaría alrededor de las 2 pm para pedir comida para 5 personas. Cuando hice eso, me dijeron que estaban cerrados y luego el individuo negó haberme dicho nada diferente. Terminó su llamada diciéndome que "F off". No creo que un restaurante con tanto profesionalismo pueda conseguir mi negocio de nuevo.

Went to a dinner with friends tonight. Surprisingly nice though portion is a bit small but very tasting. We ordered a bottle of wine as well. Bill came at 23 each, quite reasonable.

Thai Moom is the best Thai Place in the area by far! From the friendly. attentive staff, soothing atmosphere, to the amazing tasty food... Especially the chicken satay! Great value for money, we will definitely be back again!

Great Thai food, delivered to your door

Your pad thai noodles very tasty not one for the chilli myself apart from that the service very immaculate and a very impressive big shared big starter definitely come back again....

We visited on a Friday evening. I was really looking forward to a Thai curry but none of them were vegan or vegetarian as they all had fish sauce. I ended up with an uninspiring stir fry whilst the rest of my group had a four course set meal. Service was fine at the beginning of the evening but when we got to dessert all the staff were sitting around with their jackets on obviously desperate to leave. This was at 10pm so not especially late. We ended up leaving rather than ordering more drinks. The others in my group enjoyed the food, so all that is needed is a few options for those of us who don’t eat meat or fish.

Busy Saturday night, but service was friendly. Plenty of food choice, and everything was tasty and well cooked.

Average flavours, way too sweet, had red duck curry, some nice flavours, but the overpowering sweet taste spoiled it. Duck didn't taste very fresh, thai fishcakes tasted too tough and old, hope the standards go higher as I love to have this great food nearby!
