Food was nice. Service was quick . We did not feel rushed. Lady was very pleasant

First time here was really good great service very helpful the desert is amazing and the Duck red curry is great

The food and service here was unmatched. We got a nice selection of starters which were all delicious, and the mains were just as good. Worth noting that it’s BYOB, so they have soft drinks available but if you want a glass of wine or beer with the meal then best to take it with you. They were very accommodating with this.

Nice food although why they choose to serve lemons instead of the more traditional limes I do not know. Am I missing something. Lovely staff.

Loved the soup, the service and the quality of the dishes. It is very affordable, fresh and the lady is very nice!

Great service and lovely staff. Brilliant choice on the menu. The food was delicious and very tasty. We went at lunch time and are looking forward to going in the evening.You can take your own wine which is a bonus. Would recommend.

Had the lunchtime menu, good choices, amazing value, such friendly and quick service. I had BBQ roast duck, best duck I have ever tasted in my 78yrs, so tender and moist. Deep fried ice cream balls for dessert, out of this world 😋😋. Would absolutely 110% recommend this small, cosy restaurant. I will most certainly be going back to sample rest of menu 😬

Food was ok at best tbh. I guess the the biggest advantage is option to bring your own alcohol (corkage apply). But as my group do not drink we were not very impressed and probably won’t be back.

This is a lovely place, it's not super smart but the food is great and the staff lovely. They only take cash but there is a Tesco directly opposite with a cash point. Also BYO

Food was not authentic. It was a diluted version of Thai cuisine. The service could use some serious improvement. The older server was not really polite nor seemed please when we went in. Maybe it could be we were of color. She treated others with a smile, but not for us. The younger staff was polite n served with a smile.

We LOVE this place and have been coming for years. We have a takeout from here once a week. It’s not a fancy place but has good authentic Thai food that’s always reliably tasty.

We’ve been ordering takeout from here for a couple years now and Thai Garden does the best Thai food. I’m obsessed with their Pad Thai and tofu with chili and sweet basil and their duck and salmon dishes are sublime. Its simple, delicious cooking and always full of fresh veg and light sauces. Restaurant is basic inside and cash only - I respect that….. And on the weekend it gets busy because it’s BYOB.

I was pleased to discover this restaurant. Reasonable location and seems popular with locals. Had favourable reviews too. I don't want to say bad things about this place, but I have nothing good to say. As we sat there eating the mediocre food, I thought what they ought to keep and what needed updating. There is nothing worth saving. It wasn't terribly expensive, but I left, still hungry. Strip everything out the place and start again. Update and improve the menu. Meat was chewy, especially the pork. Suspect it was frozen. Please, just produce much better vibrant Thai dishes. When ready- meals beat your dishes hands down, it's time to change. A few days later. Sorry. ps, I hardly do any cooking but out of curiosity I tried to do better with Shop bought authentic green Thai curry paste. Wow, Think I'll be applying for a job there😋

One of most friendly restaurants I have ever visited. If I still lived In Bristol I would be visiting weekly. Reasonable size portions at a good price. Highly recommended.

My boyfriend and I booked a table for 7:30pm on Saturday evening and were seated in the window surrounded by an alcove of lovely indoor plants. We were glad we booked as we overheard people being turned away without a reservation as we were ordering, and the tiny restaurant was full of people. I ordered the pork and prawn dumplings to start, followed by the pad thai noodles which were both absolutely gorgeous. My boyfriend was really pleased with his meal too. A great bonus is that the restaurant is BYOB meaning we saved a fortune on our usual overall bill when eating out. We popped to the Tesco Express opposite to get cash out (as it's cash only here!) and picked up a bottle of wine to have with our meal. Our two starters and two main courses came to just over £30, which is incredible value in Bristol at the moment. We really love our Asian food, particularly Thai food, and having dined out at various chain and independent places, we both commented how delicious it was, and how much we'd like to return. Staff were also incredibly friendly and helpful, and even gave me two pairs of chopsticks to take home with me! Thanks for having us Thai Garden!

Had a delightful meal here with the family. The staff were very efficient and the food and service was very good.

Food was ok not particularly authentic unfortunately. Price on menus seems reasonable but when you add the complementary prawn crackers 👀 (£2,50) and the tip that’s included on the bill it soon adds up. All in all I would say average food and average prices probably better off paying more money for a better experience. Will try again though

Super fast takeaway and delicious authentic pad thai for under £10! Recommended.

Really nice experience! Very tasty food, quick and gentle service and very affordable prices. We ordered: prawn crackers (no sauce, a bit disappointed with that), Pad thai with prawns, Tom Yum soup with vegetables, and Massaman beef curry dish with some rice. Everything was delicious and the portions were more than ok, I really enjoyed the Pad Thai! We paid just £20!

We ordered a takeaway and the food was ready in about 15 minutes. For mains we ordered sweet and sour pork and chicken with ginger and mushrooms, both with noodles. The noodles were really tasty but the mains what kind of lacking particularly watery and not as punchy as I think we would like. I'm not a massive fan of pork usually because a quality is quite poor but I thought that the cuts of pork were very good and we have lots of big chunks of vegetables which were tasty. The crab spring rolls were massively disappointing so I really wouldn't bother with getting them. We have quite high hopes for the place given that the reviews are around 4.5 but considering what we paid which was about £30 in all we weren't left feeling massively satisfied or really impressed. The service was very prompt and the staff were lovely, but the quality of the takeaway only really warrants about 3 stars.

My partner and I recently moved near here and we’ve been scoping out some fun new local spots the past few weeks..This place seemed to always be packed so we assumed something good was happening inside and decided to check it out for ourselves—and I’m so glad we did! Without a booking we managed to get a table on a Friday evening, which we weren’t completely expecting. Once sat our waitress Sai offered some amazing suggestions for starters; the spicy Thai beef salad (steak was seasoned incredibly well and the dressing is both delicious and truly spicy) and the minced prawn/pork dumplings which were so good—will be reordering both. For entrees we had the BBQ duck with sticky rice and a prawn pad Thai which were delicious. If you go, we’ve also heard great things (and Sai confirmed this) that the drunken noodle is very good and I’ll be looking to update this review as soon as I can confirm ;) Overall our experience at Thai Garden was a fabulous one. Everyone inside was lovely, the staff and also the other customers…which is a weird thing to comment on I realize but you get a real sense being here that most people who come in are regulars and it makes the whole experience just a bit more warm. Can’t wait to go back 😊

Really nice little Thai restaurant and takeaway. Chicken satay was very good with chargrilled chicken and a tasty satay sauce. Tom yum soup was an absolute winner, thoroughly recommended. Mains were good - drunken noodles were tasty, been with yellow noodles was simple but tasty if a little greasy. Will definitely revisit.

BYOB Authentic Thai food that has me travelling across Bristol for. Absolutely stunning curries - plus all the rest! Does get popular with locals at the weekend so recommend going in the week really. Small little golden cutlery and green foliage make this lovely little understated thai place probably my fave restaurant in Bristol.

Very disappointed with take away tonight. Very bland. Won’t be returning. Ordered tofu with chilli and Thai basil. No sign of chilli or Thai basil. Stodgy slices of fried tofu lacking in any flavor.

As it is a BYO restaurant, this keeps the cost down. Every time we have visited, it has been busy but the food arrives quickly, is delicious and the service is extremely good.

Service and price was fine. Main course was average - about what you'd expect for the price but the squid for starter was rubbery, overcooked and old. Disappointing.

After living in bedmisntet he majority of my life, a friend introduced me to this place. This little thai restaurant serves delicious, tasty food at a great price and portion sizes that dont over fill you but you feel satisfied after eating. The staff are polite and friendly and will explain anything that you need

Authentic Thai Food in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. I loved this place, it’s very unassuming from the outside but once you step inside the staff make you feel very welcome. Once sat the menu is written with both the Thai names for the dishes and descriptively based on ingredients in English which is brilliant and allows you try something more adventurous than you would normally. I went with a friend and both of us had three courses for a little over £40, bargain! The food itself is very fresh and full of flavour and where appropriate not shy on the spice either. We both had beef mains and the meat was perfectly tender and not at all chewy, perfect. A fab place worth checking out.

I had just arrived from a business trip to Bangkok when I first went here so can speak from experience about authentic is the cooking. Forget the wilted vegetables and vague tastes served by so many other Thai restaurants , here you eat freshly cooked meals cooked by the owner or his personally trained assistants. For me it has to be his outstanding Pad Tai with Prawns, I have had it many times and it has always been perfect 👌🏼

We live approximately two minutes walk from this restaurant and have eaten here on many occasions. I say after every visit that I must write a review about the place, well here it is.... From entering you are greeted with friendly, smiling staff. The restaurant is BYO, which works well if you live close ( I take ice too)! The menu choice is excellent, with as you would expect, all the traditional dishes. Whatever we have chosen from the menu has been authentic, fresh and absolutely packed with flavour - the pork dumplings off the starter menu are amazing!!! To those of you reading this review, if you have never visited, I urge you to book a table. You will not be disappointed!! BTW it’s cash payment only.

It was quite expensive for vegans to pay almost 30 pounds for the vegetarian options when the meal was made mostly of white onions, Lidl mushroom and peppers. Nice seasoning. We got an expensive bill to have to get home and cook again. Never again thanks

We have just had another lovely meal at Thai Garden, lovely friendly staff, local restaurant and its a BYO.

We visited on a recommendation and weren’t disappointed. We had prawns, chicken satay, Thai fish cakes for starters, then amazing Salmon in coconut , noodles, ribs prawns. It was all very frequent and the ice cream deep fried and pancakes with banana just finished it off nicely. Definitely go again

Great evening with friends at the Thai Garden . Fabulous flavours . I had duck and it was cooked perfectly, just the right amount of spice. All six of us loved the food. Service was polite and friendly and most importantly great value. Will definitely return .

Went there for runner a few days ago, was going for takeaway but decided to stay. Typical Thai restaurant decor. Meal not good at all, having Thai fairly regularly this is probably the worst I’ve had. The food was very bland and almost tasted of Chinese, major lack of flavour, and tasted like to herbs or spice used at all. Had chicken cashew nuts and just tasted like it was cooked in oil with nothing else, even a big spring of coriander would have added some flavour. Wouldn’t go back again.
