After our favourite Thai restaurant, the Elephant Royal in London unfortunately had to close due to the pandemic, we had had been looking for a new Thai restaurant for our trips to London. After some not so good experiences, we found the Thai at Oasis near Finsbury park. It's a small restaurant but has enough space for several small parties. The menu is offering a good selection of thai dishes. Our food arrived quickly and we are happy to say, this is one of the very few restaurant actually listening to their customers wishes for authentic spicy Thai food! Nothing toned down, no 'white version'. The meat was tender, the vegetables juicy and still with a crunch and even fresh Thai basil had been used. The staff was very friendly and helpful. What the chilli peppers used didn't had enough in heat (after all, their heat varies naturally) they made up in flavour. My somewhat chilli crazy wife may have wanted a bit more heat, but then, she often eats more spicy than even most Thai people. For anyone looking for authentic Thai food, this is one of the few restaurants I can recommend.

Altamente recomendado.

Two of us went here for dinner and left satisfied from the food they serve. Had a starter to share which was good (chicken satay) and then both of us decided to go for a different type of curry. When I asked the waiter to describe my curry he wasn’t really sure what kind it was, so I felt the need to go and look up on google. He was a bit inexperienced but I get the fact that he might have been new and Thai cuisine got a lot of ingredients to be aware of, thou for the sake of allergens those days, waiting stuff should be 100% prepared on the food that’s on the menu. When the food came it was really good, and as expected, it was closer to what google described rather then what the waiter told us 😅 but hey ho, we left satisfied and with no troubles. All good, I’d suggest this little place.

We used to be very regular customers of this restaurant but sadly it seems a few months back ownership changed and a lot of changes came along. It is not as genuine as it used to be starting with the service but most important the food. They clearly changed the recipes and food does not taste the same, also portions are kind of smaller from my point of view. In our last visit they added something onto the bill called VAT which clearly was service charge but with a different name so you cannot opt out. It is still decent food but nothing to compare to which it used to be...

¡Mi nuevo restaurante tailandés favorito en Londres! No solo es un pequeño restaurante con un aspecto muy chulo, sino toda la comida fresca y deliciosa. No puedo esperar a regresar.

Have passed this place many a time on my way home from Manor House station. Finally came here on a Wednesday evening with one other person. The restaurant had two other tables filled and we were seated quickly. Ordered the mixed platter to start and a pad thai and a drunken duck with rice, one soft drink, one glass of wine and the total was approx. £45. I felt that this was expensive and portions on the small side. Tempura in the mixed platter needed more seasoning as did the duck itself. Service however was efficient and friendly. Not sure I would return again but glad to have tried it.

Three of us went for a quick dinner. The food was good, the service was good (both the waiter and the acting manager), the ambience was simple but OK, but the billing, etc, was a disaster and overshadowed the rest of the evening. On checking the bill after payment (I know, I should have checked earlier), I noted two major mistakes: firstly we were charged wrongly for the drinks (33% more than the menu price); secondly, we were charged VAT (at 11.5%!) on top of the prices shown on the menu (including the "wrong" drinks price!). The acting manager was very apologetic and contacted the manager/owner, but was told that there was nothing he could do. The menus were wrong - the drinks price was in error ("the menu was wrong, the price charged was right") and a comment that VAT needed to be added to the prices given should have been on the menu (but wasn't). No compensation was offered for their errors. So, I am left feeling angry: I'd been taken for a ride and no effort was made to rectify the situation. Poor economics: they lost a tip that would have been about the same amount that I'd been overcharged, they've lost my future business, and they've gained a poor review.

Found Boon Noon on Happy Cow app and my friend had also seen the restaurant and was looking forward to eating there. The atmosphere was friendly and warm, the lady was fantastic and really attentive, especially with our dietary requirements. Allowing us to change the stir-fry to be vegan friendly. Great food, papaya salad and tofu stir-fry was tasty.

Having travelled extensively around Thailand, have tried quite a few Thai restaurants in London an none have lived up to expectations, until now. Boon Noon is the dogs gonads for authentic Thai food. The menu is not large but has all the popular Thai dishes you can wish for. Portion sizes are excellent and the dishes were all so tasty ; we could have eaten the whole menu if the dishes we ordered were anything to go by. Unfortunately, our stomachs could not fit that much food in. Service was exceptional, very attentive without being obtrusive. prices very reasonable, for 3 courses count about £25 per head including tip. We brought our own drinks, for which they charge £5 per bottle which is worth it if you're celebrating and drinking something like champagne. Their house wine costs £16 a bottle which is very reasonable for London prices. Highly recommended, give this place a go if you're in the area.

Birthday dinner with no food! Waitress couldn't speak English and messed up the drinks order (half of them never arrived). Having ordered starters and main courses (not easy) we waited an hour but finally gave up and left. Looking round the room, other diners had come to the same conclusion. Perhaps the food is lovely, but if it takes so long to arrive, it's not really somewhere I could recommend.

I finally tried my next door Thai restaurant for the first time since I've moved to Harringay. I'm a Thai food addicted and Boon Noon didn't disappoint; Nice food, friendly service, reasonable price (excluding the wine which is overpriced like in many other similar places) and good portions. Will definitely go back!

Ordered the red curry with noodles and it was incredible. However having to wait over hour and half for it and having messed up countless orders didn’t really make up for it. I rather order through Uber eats than go in and eat.

Ordered kebab roll and butter chicken. Very nice and tasty. The kebab had all the flavour, just needed a bit more salad. Butter chicken was yummy too. Would recommend both dishes.

I’ve loved this institution for many years & had many great meals there. Today though we ordered a chicken tikka masala which traditionally involves the meat being cooked over coals. Instead of that though they put a load of paprika in the curry which frankly resulted in neither an authentic or enjoyable element to an otherwise great meal.

One of my two favourite Indian restaurants, the other being Yatri in King's Cross. The food at Bengal Bertie's is simply amazing AND for London reasonably priced! Love this restaurant!
