TGI Fridays - Watford Central in Watford

Food was the usual from TGI's but the restuarant had no heating. You had to eat the food quickly before it went cold and dry.

Went for my husband’s birthday with my very hungry 2 year old. Priya was our waitress and so polite, attentive and really and the experience enjoyable. Food was very tasty and the team sang a lovely happy birthday song with our dessert! Lovely evening out! Thank you to the team and Priya!

Unfortunately arrived without blue cheese dip & no glaze for my ribs & for some reason no grease proof paper at the bottom of the box’s so all items were falling out of soggy box’s .

Great service by Adam and Priya professional, polite and very welcoming.

Had Priya taking my order and she was absolutely lovely and friendly and had a gorgeous smile. She made sure all our needs were meant and always knew the perfect time to approach us to see how we were doing. Also had DJ Hall making my cocktails and all of them tasted extravagant

Fantastic experience, Priya was an amazing waitress, so attentive and polite. She really made the experience enjoyable. We got a Wowcher deal which was fantastic value for money for 2 courses and a drink for 2 people. It was a treat for my sister birthday. The portion sizes were very generous, we did not leave hungry. Definitely 5 stars 🌟 and would recommend.

I attended on 18/01/25 , I ordered sesame seed chicken strips, the JD sauce wasn’t even glazing over the strips so I had to order sauce to glaze on top or it would have basically been dried chicken nuggets. Presentation bad. Service wasn’t great and an incorrect item was placed on my bill, which luckily I saw in time before paying. I’ve been to a few TGIs and it’s safe to say this wouldn’t be ranked as one of my favourites. TGIs is losing its touch!

Had a lovely meal out tonight with my partner. Being someone with a severe nut allergy is can certainly say I was put at ease when ordering and eating. Our waitress Jessica went above and beyond to ensure she made clear what I can and can't have. She also very kindly got the manager to take my order due to my allergy so I could safely order. Jessica showed lots of care about our experience in Tgis tonight. She was very polite, quick and observant when we needed refils. Compliments to the chef also as the food was lovely.

Went for my mother in laws birthday meal it was amazing the staff were amazing so helpful but we had some people Who were using horrible language near us and around my two year old staff seems annoyed to also homeless man came in offering to fight a member of staff

Our today’s dinner at TGI Fridays in Watford was brilliant! The food was brilliant! The service was professional and kind, lovely waiter and manager who came to greet us personally! And that was topped with amazing desserts served by a very sweet waiter! Highly recommended!

Came here today for Lunch it was absolutely delicious. Our server Thea was very friendly so was the Manager. The service was fairly quick as well. The food was absolutely delicious I had Nachos and Cheese and Bacon Loaded Fries. The Nachos were delicious,some of the Nachos were absolutely massive and I loved the Dips and everything that came with it. The Cheese and Bacon Fries were delicious,the Fries themselves were delicious and the Bacon was tasty and Smoky. They have changed the Recipe of the Cheese and Bacon Fries slightly as there are two new sauces the Pink sauce which is mildly spicy and the Brown sauce which is not spicy. The Atmosphere was so electric as usual in this place and I love the music that is played here. The Gents Toilets at this Branch were clean! I was pleased to see that this branch of TGI Fridays was actually really busy today especially in January. Because it is so busy two things,thing one it really adds to the atmosphere and thing two I would recommend you reserve a table. Also this branch is fantastic with my gluten allergy. This restaurant provides consistently excellent experiences and this is my favourite TGI Fridays branch in the U.K.

We just went in and they told us they had run out of burger buns, wings, ribs, onion rings and garlic bread. I mean not much left!

We waited 10 mins with out being served then walked out. Shocking customer service!

I always tend to leave a fair review and never want to put a restaurant down, but today, we had one of the worst meals ever at this place today. From poor service to getting the wrong meal to then serve up slop on a plate. Waited at the entrance to be seated and waited 10 mins before anyone acknowledged us, and that's only because we requested assistance. Waitress was very inexperienced and came across like she didn't want to be there. Worst £75 ever spent. Needless to say, we will not be going back.

Not normally one to go out of my way to leave a bad review, but honestly just left TGI Friday's feeling like I'd been mugged off. I ordered the Cajun Chicken pasta. Both the chicken and the pasta were hard, dry, and almost completely flavourless - definitely no "creamy Cajun sauce" as described in the menu. I've cooked tastier food in my microwave at uni. Obviously it's a TGI Friday's - no one's going there expecting anything particularly fancy. And I'm usually not fussy at all with food. But if you're going to charge near enough £20 for a bowl of pasta, you'd expect some degree of effort put into the dish. Not undercooked, unseasoned penne, what looked like frozen veg, and the saddest looking piece of chicken I think I've ever seen in my life - frankly, an insult to the animal it came from. My issue is NOT with the staff at all. The waitresses were all lovely, and apologetic when our initial orders were out of stock. And the atmosphere was nice. But from my experience in this store and one other, TGI Friday's will charge as much as they can, while providing the lowest standards of food they can get away with. My advice would be to go to Frankie & Benny's if you're looking for an easy, american-diner style chain like this. Or honestly, just anywhere else.

Food was okay but overpriced for what it is. The staff are very loud and were gathered on the table behind me and my friend and we found it hard to hear each other over the staff chatting and messing about which isn’t very professional.

Priya looked after us and made us feel very welcome! Would go again!

Poor service and even worse food. This is not the first time I’ve had a bad experience @ a TGI branch. Although I have liked attending in the past, every branch I’ve been to over the past 2 years has been absolutely appalling with terrible service.

Had a catch up with a friend at the start of the week and the service was amazing, and the food was great! We was lucky enough to have the amazing Jess who served us! We will definitely be coming back!! Thanks Jess!!

The overall dining experience was disappointing, with the quality of the food falling well below expectations and the prices being unreasonably high. We ordered two different types of burgers, both of which were incredibly dry and lacked flavour. The appetisers were equally unimpressive, coming across as bland and forgettable. Given the steep prices, the experience felt far from worth the cost.

Had boneless chicken but had a chicken wing in it which was bitten into, not good

Started out really good. The staff that seat you are very friendly and thats what's earned the 1 star. However, the total bare minimum experience that any diner should receive in return for spending money on food and service is not available here. It took them some time to seat us even though I had booked several weeks in advance (special occasion with a large group) so we were hungry and immediately ready to order. We waited 20 mins for someone to come over to our table, even though I asked many times, nicely, if someone could come by. I was finally successful in waving someone over. We ordered drinks and food in one go. Waited over 30 mins for food, just to have some meals not arrive that went "missing" and had to be recooked. Drinks didn't arrive for ages until most of our food was done. Including tap water... how is that even possible. In terms of food quality, ordered a chicken burger, paid £18.50 for a dry burger with 3x chicken nuggets on it. We asked if we got a kids meal by mistake. We did not. We had no cutlery. Another thing we had to ask multiple times for. Not a single time did anyone come by to ask if everything was OK or did we want anything else. Every step of the way we had to work at getting further in the dining process. Nothing offered in the way of compensation for all the mistakes. I eventually waited at the til to pay because I just wanted out of there. There was no service charge included, the staff knew it was bad. I grew up in the states and over there, TGIs is a low quality fast food place disguised as a family dining experience. I should have trusted what I know but i thought it would be a fun place to celebrate with this particular group. There is a 0% chance I'd ever return.

Extremely slow delivery, literally no sense of attention.

Upon arrival greeted by a very polite waitress, who showed us to our table. A while later she came back and took our drinks order and asked if we were ready to order food which we did so. She came back with two of our four drink . However it was a further 15mins until we got the other two drinks. Time was getting on our young Grandchildren were getting anxious and asking "when is the food coming its taking a long time ". After waiting 40mins the waitress came and apologise it was taking so long for our meals to arrive, I asked how much longer please ? Her replying 5/10mins ! I replied As long it's not going to be any longer than that. Eventually our meals arrived after 5mins. Myself and my husbands meals were fine , however the Grandchildrens were dry as anything (Hot dogs) the only edible thing were the chips. I complained to the waitress that I was happy with the quality of the food and i was not prepared to pay for unedible food . She said she would speak to her manager. On her return with the bill she stated she had taken the hotdog meals off the bill . Which I thought was fair. It's a great shame we had this experience TGI Fridays.

I don't know what has happened to this restaurant. We were seated quickly for a Friday evening. My drink had to be sent back, my starter was semi-cold, my order was wrong had to wait for my burger after my partner started his. My burger was dry as a day in the Sahara, had to ask for sauce, evenbthe sauce bottle looked like it wanted to die. My seat moved everytime the family behind me moved. The knives and forks tray was directly behind my head, when the server topped it up I jumped out my skin. I sat there wishing I had gone to Five Guys opposite the restaurant. I've given 3 stars as I ate the food out of starvation! It was edible just very underwhelming. Staff were working hard, the best part was the milkshake. Definitely not value for money, won't be going back.

Dint honour reservations we made Okay Food Takes a very long time to serve Pretty decent ambience Went here on a Friday evening after making reservations for 7 pm. We reached at 6:59 and were told that they don't have a table and we are next in queue to be seated. We had to wait for around 15 minutes, which beats the purpose of reservations. The reservation we made was not honoured. Once we ordered the food. It again took a long time. Some of the items were well made, some.like the chicken were too dry and over cooked. Drinks were pretty nice but nothing extraordinary.

I had a lovely experience at the Watford branch, I had Lauren C serve me and she was simply amazing! Overall great experience thanks to her! :)

Absolutely terrible service from this restaurant, order arrive stone cold and late. I will never order from here again, and Just Eat won't refund the full order even though I can't eat it. Total joke, no wonder TGI's are going under.

Tjay was amazing fabulous cocktails especially the pina colada.. that was my favourite. very upbeat and attentive host.. As a barmaid myself his service was the best and cocktails 10 out of 10 xxx

Sauce was open in the bag and was spilled all over the food. I didn’t even want sauce but didn’t get the option to not have sauce.

Bottomless brunch today was amazing. Drinks and food came out really quick, no complaints. Tj was so welcoming and eager to help to make our experience enjoyable and unforgettable. Will be coming back soon

Food was cold, my Mac and cheese had no cheese and it was so cold. Everything was frozen. No quality and very expensive. Wouldn’t recommend to anybody. Stay safe

TGI Fridays in Watford was a real disappointment. The actual restaurant was quite unkept! Dirty and even ripped seats as soon as you enter! Service was very slow even to get the drinks to the table. The food was very much not great at all. We all left feeling really put off by our meals, but we waited so long to get them that we were too hungry not to eat it! I have been to many TGI Fridays in the UK, even in other countries and this experience was so underwhelming. The quickest service we had was to get the bill and asked if we were ready to pay. The staff was ok they seemed disorganised and all over the place. They didn’t accommodate kids (besides the kids menu) they had nothing to keep them busy. I really don’t recommend this restaurant as it is to anyone!

I recently dined here Absolutely amazing service! Nicola especially was very attentive! Food was 10/10 Arrived quickly with no issues and beautifully presented I highly recommend eating here and especially the Cajun pasta!

Worst experience EVER. Staff is extremely rude, unprofessional, screaming and shouting to each other, swearing in front of the customers. I had to leave after 15 minutes of being seated as I couldn't handle observing this nonsense. Avoid this place...

I am honestly at a loss for words. This place has topped the charts for the worst dining experience I have ever had while out traveling. I had the new york strip, and my girlfriend had the smashed burger. Strip was bland, borderline room temperature, tough as a leather belt and had the saddest presentation I have seen to date. Burger was burned to a crisp. As bland as a cardboard box and looked as sad as our waiter. Our fries were refried multiple times, and were therefore hard as rocks. I will never return to TGI Fridays again. Thank god this is over. Some times I wish I didnt have to eat to survive.

Skyhigh prices for the worst food I’ve ever had in england. No taste, cooked to a crisp, rotten lettuce and tomatoes. Our fries were atleast re-fried 3 times before being served to us. 65 pounds for 2 main courses and 1 appetizer. Our server did not ask us about our experience, and I were too shy to say anything. Money gone, I cry. Absoooolutely disgustang!!

Went last week to this place. Well I wouldn’t recommend, as the waiting time is too long . For the food and everything 1 cola we had to wait more than probably 20 minutes or even more. Everything takes ages! While it’s not even that busy at all.I asked to change our table as sunshine was right into our face said ok ok and ignored us. Everything take so long. Prices are too high for its food and didn’t worth it. The service needs to improve. And the prices also too higher for the amount of food.

Great service, great food and great drinks

Bad service, I stand at the front door around 10 minutes and their staff just ignored me, steak was rubbish and the sides came when I have already finished the steak, sweet potato fries was black colour, can’t believe it.

Visited on a Monday afternoon and was only provided with the main menu as opposed to the lunch menu. The restaurant was extremely busy as there was only two people serving. After waiting for the waitress who was rushed off her feet to finally come back we asked for the lunch menu. When the food finally arrived it looked cheaply made, dry and disappointing as you can see from the photo. I will certainly not be hurrying back.

Sorry if I've got the name wrong, but would like to say a massive thank you to bashim for excellent service last night, he really did go the extra mile. It can be hard to go out sometimes with a baby but he came over with animal balloons for her which honestly made our whole night and hers meaning we could actually sit down and enjoy our meal, food was lovely and so was the cocktails and that just topped it off, thank you again :)

Restaurant was not very busy, but we waited for a server 19 minutes. They were on their phones also chatting to each other. Food was tasty. Good supervisor is needed there as service is slow and unattended. Lady in glasses deserve a pay rise as just she was working.

This TGI has fallen off, meant to be great for the kids but waited for our food for 40 mins, no crayons or anything provided for the kids. staff were loud and shouting, just looked like they didn't care, very unprofessional. Manager was the only one who looked professional and on it. Table was sticky as guy had just cleaned it and chucked us on it.

Felt dirty and run down. The prices are extortionate given the food is essentially fast food. Our server was excellent.

The most shocking thing is that this restraunt pays no attention to reviews as we have experienced today exactly the same scenario as other reviews from 1-2 months ago. The staff....just wow, 2 or 3 clearly don't won't to be there, one in particular was literally dragging himself around the restraunt,avoiding any hint of work. Other staff generally huddled together avoiding eye contact with customers. Our experience as follows: Drinks order arrived after the main course served One meal wrong , asked for no cheese but got cheese. Finished meal waited 20 mins , but not a single member of staff to be seen on our section. Just shocking, manger should be ashamed. The business as a whole, wouldn't be surprised if they don't go bust. Vastly overpriced mediocre food, abysmal service. Definitely won't be returning.

Quite possibly the worst thing I've ever had served to me. Bland, cold microwaved pasta accompanied by flat drinks. Charging nearly £20 for a ready meal served on a plate is actually bonkers.

Food etc may have been good but I don’t know as I never managed to actually find the place. We are not local so rang for directions before our visit which were totally unhelpful and despite driving round for quite some time we never found it so ate elsewhere.

Visted Earlier and had a full rack of the Ultimate Ribs, they were cooked perfectly and a good sized portion! Big thank you to TJ running by himself and still delivering good service!

Really enjoyed this meal. Friendly service and the food came out in a sensible amount of time (unlike our local TGIs which takes forever).

Very expensive for fairly low quality food which was all either over cooked or had clearly been sat under a heat lamp for too long. My fajitas came out sizzling and generally looked pretty nice but then I had to wait a further 10 minutes for the wraps and sauces to come out by which point the sizzling meat was no longer sizzling! The most unfortunate part of the whole visit was the long waits for each of the courses. It was a Sunday evening so really not busy at all. Very poor experience and one we definitely won’t be repeating!!

Very expensive for what it is. We were sat at our table for 10-15 minutes before we were able to flag down a member of the nearly non-existent staff to order drinks. No usual check up to see if everything was ok with the food when we were served.

I've been to TGI before, years ago, and thoroughly enjoyed it. This time we walked in and back out again within 5 minutes after seeing those prices. I don't have the prices on hand, but they were taking the piss. About £9 for mozzarella sticks starter. North of £15 for simple strips and chips. I know inflation has hit, but this is more expensive than the food I get in the financial district in London. No way will I be eating here until those prices regain any sense of normalcy.
