Great spot for big portioned and great quality food, not something you see everyday! Recommend to anyone! Server Ellie very friendly and helpful :)

It was my other half's birthday and we decided to go out for dinner, somewhere local. We both choose to go to Texas Rocks (we had been before, but a few years ago) and honestly, it didn't disappoint! The food was amazing, the service was amazing, what more can you ask for. We arrived a bit early, but they were happy to seat us at the bar so they could sort our table out, we ordered our food and it was out in no time. The restaurant was quite busy that night, a few large tables, but we still managed to get our food at a very reasonable time. Unfortunately we couldn't manage dessert because our mains were filling but a great portion size. It's safe to say we will definitely be back again soon, this time taking more family so they can experience what we did. Thanks guys!

Stumbled across Texas Rock by chance. What an amazing place. Oozed quality from the moment I walk through the door. Justin and his team are on it in every sense and the experience gets even better when the food is delivered to the table. Talking of service my waitress Honey who was only working her 3rd shift was a natural. Guys thank you for a truly world class experience. Yet again another good night had at Texas Rocks . . . . Sad to see the gator bites aren't being done anymore, but the moonshine cocktails made up for it. Steak a little on the salty side this evening but I guess that's personal choice. Big shout out to Honey the waitress, always served us with a smile even when we got a little loud and cheeky!!

Love this place. The food is always excellent. The staff are always so friendly and fast to respond. Would just say it was a little loud from the music on the tvs at the top table but just a minor thing. Nice birthday treat which made hubby feel special and a surprise muffin and sparkler and a verse of happy birthday brought out at the end for him (even if the muffin was still frozen inside 😂)you can't really complain as it was free and was a lovely gesture. Booked in the morning and when we got there we’re told the fryers had been down all weekend. It would have been nice to be made aware of that when we booked. So no chips but could swap for something else FREE OF CHARGE. Ordered shrimps instead of chips (they had the texture of dry mashed potatoes) and some mushrooms to share on the table. Only once we got home did we notice we’d been charged for the shrimp. Coffee machine broke so no coffee. Didn’t have ingredients for cocktails. Got 2 out of the 5 burger orders wrong.

When you get sat upstairs it’s more of a smoke house than a steak house,the excessive smoke tells the story of the cooking which has gone down hill. We ordered drinks that took forever to arrive-finally arrived half way through our mains after starters. The Camembert was more breadcrumbs than cheese and the bread was burnt and dry -tasteless. I ordered a fillet steak and got a sirloin -this wasn’t mentioned or asked to change before serving. Chips were overdone and contained sweet potatoes and bits of onion ring batter- suggesting the deep fat fryer could do with a clean. Tables were dirty with the last few weeks of crumbs and salad leaves in the cracks of the table. Got given two free shots for the mess up with the drinks order-we don’t drink spirits and we weren’t asked before hand so we could of asked for something else we could have eaten/drank. Tried to swap them for something else was told no as they were on the house then the waistress necked them- not particularly professional . We used to be regular costumers here but after this experience and previous ones we won’t be returning

The food and service were very good, the choice is amazing and the portion sizes are spot on. Sadly we sat upstairs this time where the kitchen is and do not recommend it, as it’s thick with greasy smoky from the open kitchen (extraction needs looking at) I expect a certain level of smells etc filtering out but not to the fact where we left smelling like we had done a shift in there.

Used to visit this place awhile back and always thought it was a great establishment and authentic American food, however, after a visit tonight we was left less than disappointed. We were seated upstairs where the whole upper floor was filled with smoke from the kitchen with no extraction. We had ribs that were wet and slimy the chips looks like they were re-cooked and were full of fat and the onion ring As a previous review said were more batter than onion and again swimming in fat & The Maccarone cheese was tasteless, and basically the whole experience was very disappointing and we all felt very sick after leaving, presuming due to everything being swimming in fat.

Had Christmas dinner here this year and the food and service was 10/10 hoping to come back for next Christmas!

After my husband wanting to desperately visit Texas Rocks, we finally got around to going last night. The place itself looked great, however the food was not so great and you don't visit a restaurant just because it looks good, we will definitely not be returning! My 12oz steak had probably half its weight in fat on it, by the time I removed this, I probably ended up with 6ozs. I asked for my steak "Well done" which it was, but so was our sides of chips and onion rings, they were cooked within an inch of their life, the onion rings had about 99% batter and 1% onion! The Diane sauce came out with full button mushrooms in it, this was not stated on the menu and the server said "Its never what people expect." I hate the texture of mushrooms so had to try and scoop the sauce around them out onto the steak. I wish I hadn't bothered, the sauce was so salty that I had to scrape it off again and apply ketchup all over my steak to remove the taste, my husbands peppercorn sauce tasted more like a brandy sauce. We wanted to try Texas Rocks. We have. It was the worst steak place we have ever been to. We will definitely be sticking to "Miller and Carter steakhouse" in the future.

The Staff are helpful and attentive. They are quick and efficien, nothing is to much trouble. They let you get on with your meal without keep asking if everything is okay. I would recommend Texas Rock to anyone. A very enjoyable evening.

This place is worth the hour drive. the food is beyond amazing. The steak melts in your mouth, the staff are always friendly and helpful and the cocktails are dangerously good (easy to have more than you should). Texas rocks is an absolute must.

Nice place and nice staff but the food is disgusting. The menu says the nachos come with mozerella, cheddar and salsa but there wasn't any salsa at all, minimal cheese and they dumped a huge diarrhea load of weird and disgusting strong tasting orange sauce over the entire lot, completely ruining it. I'm not even a fussy eater so full marks for managing to a) put me off eating something completely, and b) for making nachos revolting, neither of which I thought was ever possible. Congratulations, you succeeded on that at least. ...and the fajitas were unseasoned and swimming about in a oily and tasteless pond.

I now live in london, and this is still the best steak place i’ve ever been to, one of my favourite restaurants in the world, 100% recommend the steaks

We had made a reservation for 17:30 and received a confirmation email for the booking. We were looking quite forward to enjoying a meal there as we had heard that the restaurant had great food and service. Unfortunately the booking system had made a mistake and put our booking in for 11:00 instead of 17:30. The manager with glasses a short hair, refused to give us her name was extremely rude when handling this issue. We showed her our confirmation email and she completely disregarded it. The least she could have done is apologies for the mistake the system had made. She spoke to us as we were idiots. It is unacceptable to treat a customer this way. The place look really nice unfortunately with a manager like that, it reflects on the owners of the establishment. I will not be recommending this restaurant and will encourage friends not to go there. Rather go to Ask Italian where we had no booking but they happily accommodated us and their food and service is great.

Absolutely disgusted in the Manager of this restaurant. Short, dark haired lady who refused to give us her name. She was on duty 5pm on 11 November. Despite us having an online confirmation email for a 5.30pm booking for my son’s birthday celebration, I was informed - very rudely - that our booking had been for 11am that morning and because we did not show, our credit card had been charged. How absolutely disgusting being treated by an employee of an establishment meant to be making money for the owner. Clearly the online system was glitching - but even with a confirmation email in hand, we were not offered an apology, let alone a complimentary drink or being offered another table at a later time.

The dark haired manager on duty on the 11th of November, was extremely rude and unhelpful, she refused to give us her name and argued with us profusely. I’m from a big town and never would expect a manager to speak to customers like that, absolutely disgusting behaviour.

Our last visit was awful, there was not one but two hairs in my food in two different meal. I didn't finished all so I've asked the staff to pack my leftovers (half a burger and some chips and chutney). All they've packed was the chips and chutney, no burger at all. I only realised when we get home 45 minutes away. The staff is just not up to standard, their hair is falling into the meals while they serving them, they have the hair net but half of their hair isn't covered. We were happy previously in numerous occasions but this last one was not what we expected.

Fantastic Sunday lunch Called in here yesterday for a drink not realising they did Sunday lunch. It was amazing. Steak on a sharing platter, crunchy roasties and best cauliflower cheese ever. We'll be back!
