Went with the family for a birthday meal and had a great time, I can’t rate the place high enough! The food is amazing and the service is fast . If it was closer I go there every week!!! 10/10.

Would highly recommend to anyone wanting a nice meal out with either the family, partner or friends, the food was amazing and the staff were super friendly and cared about every customer there.

I came with my partner on a Sunday for our date night. I had a ribeye which was cooked perfectly, and he had a burger. The food was so flavourful and huge portions. We also had a few cocktails which not only looked amazing but tasted it too! We were served by Christian, Lauryn and Hannah who were all lovely and very attentive. We had a great night and can't wait to come back!

Had a Christmas Dinner here. Wonderful food and great service. Regularly eat here and always come away happy and Full. We done Justin and the team.

Visited for an early anniversary meal. The staff were friendly and helpful. At first thought meals were expensive but once they came out they were actually reasonable as they are big. Steak was cooked well but the ones I had were a bit fatty but other than that the meal was delicious. The other dish was huge and delicious. Would recommend giving this place a try and we will definitely be returning to try a different dish.

Steak good, Creamy garlic shrooms good, Parmesan broccoli needed cooking, it was a bit like chewing on sticks, I recommend to the chef to cook the stems right through until soft, then add parmesan. Other than that, it was all good stuff, see you again soon, Texas Rocks🙂

Texas Rocks has very warm and welcoming atmosphere. The food is great and the stetson's create some memorable photos too. A nice touch. And I especially give a shout out for the lovely waitress Chelsea whose beautiful shiny dark hair and matching shiny glasses made my meal especially memorable. Shocking! For a restaurant that we have been to multiple times and never had an issue I doubt we will be returning. Staff were very young and didn’t recognize the difference between cuts of meat. After taking our order twice they then forgot one of our groups entire meal. He was absolutely peeking and looking forward to his food that unfortunately come 20minits after everybody else’s. If you want to spend £60 per person for a cold steak and watery Mac and cheese then you may aswell give yourself a bubbly to top of your night.

Food was alright but service was very disappointing, not so much as a smile from majority of staff, no thank you or goodbye when leaving. There was 1 cowboy male staff member that was pleasant and helpful, can't credit the rest.

We've been going here for a long time and tonight we've decided we won't be back again, it's been getting worse and worse every time we've been recently, tonight's experience was just appalling. Food was cold, all except the cheesy garlic bread. Chips was stale, like it was saved from someone else's plate and plonked on ours and the broccoli was hard, like it was raw, but stale. No table check done to see hie our meal was, we only had our drink we ordered before food cause nobody bothered taking another order. We didn't even get our steak knives until I asked for them

Came here with family for last meal before baby is due and it was incredible, hubby loved the steak and the staff have always been amazing. Couldnt have done more and will be back

The lady that arranged our seating tonight was amazing also the lad that collected our bill, they are the two stars!! The rest were very rude and had no manners.

Was quite disappointed with our food, steaks we had tasted good but weren’t cooked to how we asked, but that wasn’t the problem, the problem was both our burgers were not cooked at all, the chicken burger was pink and the camemburger was very much raw , it looked like mince meat out the pack.. shame as it was a lovely place but the food was very poor for the price we paid

We had eaten here a couple years ago and we weren’t overly impressed but thought we would give it another go as the reviews seemed better, I wish we hadn’t… I’ll start with the good points… Our starters , chicken wings and mozerella sticks were lovely, proper chicken wings and the mozzarella sticks were delicious) although these did take half an hour to come out but we didn’t mind as both starters were good. Waitress.. to begin with the waitress was very attentive, asking if we wanted her to go through the menu with us, and very prompt on taking order and checking in (didn’t have to wait around for ages) unfortunately that’s where the good points end. Bad points.. DO NOT chose to sit upstairs, it’s extremely Smokey as the kitchen open ups onto the dining area, at one point my eyes were stinging the smoke was so bad and both of us came out smelling like we had been working in the kitchen (the waitress did ask us if it was okay to open the windows (it was a cold evening) and we agreed as the smoke was unbearable, but this also made the dining area cold and I ended up sitting with my coat wrapped around my legs. Both of us had burgers for our mains, we knew by looking at the menu that they were cooked medium rare but one of our burgers was not cooked at all in the middle, it wasn’t just pink, it was fleshy and not edible. When we were asked by the manager if our food was okay, we showed him the burger and he apologised and took it back to the kitchen, I could see him talking to the chef, then walked back to our table and pointed at a menu to show us it says they are cooked medium rare, he was rude and made it try to seem like we were stupid and that’s how it was suppose to be, yet my burger was also cooked medium rare and mine was actually edible. I explained that it wasn’t cooked at all and all they needed to do was look at it and you can see straight away it’s not cooked, he apologised again but I feel like this was just to get us to shut up. (We had no discount added to our bill for this even though it was quite clearly not cooked, not even an offer for a new burger. After we had eaten it seemed the staff had completely disappeared! It took us ages to actually get our bill and when we did get it, we waited another 15 minutes for us to find someone so we could actually pay the bill. On the end we got up and found someone so we could pay and leave. Will NOT be returning or recommending, it needs a new manager and some motivation. I never leave reviews but I felt really disappointed and felt like I wasted money that could have been spent elsewhere with better service and food. The prices here aren’t cheap, the least you expect is properly cooked food and good service.

Disappointing, We were looking forward to heading back after coming here the year before for my sisters birthday. We waited an hour for burnt burgers. manager did take our burgers off the menu so we ended up paying £30 for two kids meals and 4 soft drinks. Won’t be coming back again. Asked for a quiet area was placed next to loud people. Will not be returning, Kitchen had multiple issues tickets were being sent back. Needs better management. Shocking !!!

Absolutely amazing service by Ellie and Christian food was amazing wait time really was not that bad considering it was fully booked and had a party! Very good quality meet both me and my partner had a steak and neither of us were disappointed. Definitely worth the money! Thank you for a great meal we will definitely be returning x

The service was great. So welcoming. We were a group of ladies in Yeovil for the weekend, and this place made our stay. The menu was explained. It was extensive and well planned. Cocktails and food was delicious . We had two bottles of prosecco too and were really pleased with our experience. Would recommend.

Said on Google it was open but it wasn’t. Staff inside just looked through the window and didn’t even get up. Given the additional current building works and surroundings, based on this experience i’d recommend people look elsewhere.

Lovely place the staff were very polite and helpful,the food was great alot of choices and the portions sizes are massive,we were there for a double birthday dinner and both received cow boy hats and a cake at the end of the meal,brilliant we will definitely be going back again 😀

Out for dinner and first time here. Service started with a soft drink being dribbled over 2 menus as we were reading them. It happens, but to not acknowledge or offer to clean up was the first impression off to a bad start. I had to ask for a paper napkin to mop up the spilled drink. We had our drinks orders taken by both serving staff so it seems like they needed to coordinate. The food was served and then we were asked a few minutes in if the food was OK then left to eat and at no other time did the serving staff look over to see if we were in need of drinks etc which we were. The staff all looked distracted and bored and I had to get up in the middle of the meal to put a drink order in. The moment we had finished we were asked if we wanted anything else or the bill. We had literally been there an hour for 2 courses and spent £110 on 3 of us and just a little more time to finish drinks and relax rather than be hurried away would suit most people better. All in all the service needs some training input. The food was OK and no more. Salt and pepper calamari is just fried frozen rings with no hint of salt and pepper, so needs so recipe work. Smokey ribs served with curried corn - ribs tender but under seasoned, corn just out of place flavour wise. Steak was good, sides just warm and again under seasoned. Burgers just OK. The patties taste like bought in ones or they use a proprietary seasoning- I could taste unnatural flavour enhancers (HVP). If you make them yourselves, and you should, make your own seasoning, it's simple and lets you make the pattie taste like your own work. Chips were just warm, brisket burger topper was crispy from the re-heat where it should be moist and juicy. Cheap acidic bbq sauce on tables - in a place like this a house homemade bbq would be good. Lastly the wooden table had large gaps between the planks of wood - looks like you need to include the gaps in your cleaning schedule, they are full of food debris left by other diners. As with any food business it they supervision by someone in overall charge to set and maintain standards, train staff and create the business it should be. Texas Rocks feels neglected on that point, just churning stuff out to a basic standard without any passion. With some attention to detail it could be a great place, currently it's not.

Great Sunday lunch last weekend. The roast pork burger was amazing!

Justin was super welcoming and really helpful. He showed us the ribeye steaks. We settled on a share platter with the Tomahawk steak. We also had hot stones to sear our steak strips at our table. Overall a fabulous meal. For sweet we had the ice cream. Huge portions and delicious. £130 for two of us plus 4 beers.

Celebrated my 70th birthday here on 02/10/2024 with all the family and I would recommend it to anyone 😊 Food, staff and atmosphere were all excellent and I definitely recommend it. My 5 year old grandson enjoyed it so much he wants to go here for his next birthday 😊😘

i thought it looked nice at first the staff were very moody it took them 15 minutes to give us our drinks then just over an hour for our food which looked nice but the mac n cheese was all burnt to a crisp the steak was rare when we asked for medium the chips were cold and the bacon was burnt. won’t be coming here again

Texas rocks... Certainly doesnt rock. If your looking for cheap meat for high prices come here. It tastes awful the meat is cheap and tough full of fat and cartilage. However when u say something the rude manager tells you that that's just how meat is. Funnily enough I have worked in the meat industry for years. And that is not a normal amount of fat on steak except for the cheapest meat on the market. So the prices don't meat up with the standard of the rubbish they call meat. Management is rude and has an attitude problem. You'd get better steak quality from a supermarket.... don't waste your money unless you want to pay all that money for a massive disappointment and worst meat you can come across and a manager who doesnt know anything about meat and will argue that "that's just how meat is" go educate yourself before telling your customers what meat is like and sort your attitude out if I could give a zero star I would.

Texas rocks! No, it doesn't. The food was disappointing. The steaks: rump, sirloin and fillet were bad. Too much fat and cartilage on the rump and sirloin, even as fatty meats go. Better quality meats in your local supermarkets. The worst part, the manager, as we made a complaint the manager started arguing that this is how steak is. But I've seen plenty of steaks and meats myself and that is not how it should be. To add salt to injury, I can't believe the attitude recieved by the manager on our complaints. Saying that refusing to eat the steak due to to poor quality and extortionate prices is a choice is completely absurd from a restaurant establishment and I have never seen such poor service in my experience. Don't waste your money.

Team serving us were attentive and friendly. Food was rubbish, I had chicken fajitas, just a hot plate of onion with 6 pieces of chicken. Cocktails were great. Place was pretty empty apart from 8 of us on a Hen Party, sadly lacked atmosphere, music could have been louder. Wouldn't rush back sadly as really like to support local business...

Took forever, and was cold and was missing chips. Way too expensive for what it actually is.

Went with a table of 4, all different mains! The mains.. I got a pig & cow steak burger absolutely amazing super delicious very fulfilling enjoyed everything about the mains had a bite of the steak mates got and the steaks were unreal also! Would highly recommend for food prawns were very disappointing though no seasoning just straight out of Tesco packet really and for £7 nothing special about them felt very ripped off with the prawns however everything else amazing staff were amazing super on it in a very intense environment! I think staff should be a bit more forgiving to each other though as I think it was a manager on shift and she had ago at one of the younger staff member for putting an extra drink on the order by accident which seemed abit of an over reaction. Very pleasant place to eat though will definitely be coming again!

It aint Texas, but was still good. 👍 Novelty prices 👎. Secondly, it's Y'all. Not Ya'll. As a native Texan I feel I'm being pretty strict on my opinions while as a customer who felt was given special treatment to. We had a long day and simply wanted take away, however that's not normal for Texas Rocks, but the server was able to get it for us. She was above and beyond, true southern hospitality as we say in the states. The menu I can see where the authenticity notes are trying to be hit. However for me, the prices were steep for what you are getting - 22pound (about 28 american) for a 6oz burger, no matter the toppings is a bit mental. The lesser ones, 17 pounds (21us) still werent much better. Be noted 'pink' for the burger it was very rare, but flavors were nice enough. Appetizer prices were alright, but the amount of food for a few seemed skimp. Novelty items good lures. The atmosphere did hit alot of notes too in making it feel like home. And was playing true country singers. Outdoor seating is a plus option.

The food was really authentic and we really enjoyed it. The service was quick, the friendliness of some of the service staff could be improved greatly, but there were also nice, friendly service staff. Very loud atmosphere.

Haven’t been for quite a while and totally forgotten how lovely the food is. The portions are always big and excellent value for money. Fast service. The staff work tirelessly and thank you especially to Christian who was so polite and attentive making our evening even better so thank you Christian. Will be back soon.

Visited for a birthday celebration on a Sunday. Food average and not overly hot. Food served on wooden trays and a couple of ours were split which we all thought was unhygienic but to be fair staff did say you were going to be changing the menu soon and serving food on plates. The staff were slow to serve and seemed really focused on clearing tables and removing empty glasses rather than getting our refill drink orders etc.

We came here for dinner and drinks and were extremely well looked after by Christian- he was really helpful and provided great service with a smile! The food was also amazing- thank you for a great meal

Where to begin here! Four of us had dinner here. All four meals were cold, tasteless, greasy, and just poor quality all around. Surprised at the quantity of good reviews for this shack. It’s disgusting. Possibly reviewed by owners/owners friends or they pay for reviews as some restaurants do!!! Restaurant is showing signs of disrepair too, tacky LED light strips falling off stairs, holes from old water leaks in ceiling, sticky table. Eugh. What on earth is that thing they call coleslaw? On the plus side, I could do an oil change on a large tractor with four of the onion rings they serve. Burgers are ok, but the stringy dry pulled beef(?) should be used to fill holes in their ceiling! Not what we are used to. Not what we expected.

An absolutely fantastic restaurant. Was passing by, and nipped in on the recommendation of a friend. They've taken some of the best bits of US dining, whilst carefully avoiding the worst elements! The staff are great - welcoming, attentive, professional, and plentiful (they weren't trying to scrape through a Friday night with a skeleton crew). The menu is really varied, with a dazzling array of temptations. I could not resist the "Camemburger". It's a whole deep-fried camembert, in a burger, oozing out delicious melted cheese. The burger was perfectly pink. Chips were just the right level of crispy. I confess that I was just about beaten by the last couple of chips, it's a hearty meal!

Went here for a recent birthday. They made a fuss of my boyfriend. Hat, birthday sign and cake with sparkler. Food was lovely. Service great andcreally good decor and atmosphere.

Absolutely amazing food. I would definitely recommend the nachos with barbecue brisket as a sharing starter. So delicious! The steaks are tender and very good quality. The staff were lovely and we are planning to go back soon.

came for a meal with friends, the service definitely made the evening, our server christian always checked up on us and made sure everything was okay! very cheerful and overall made us all have a laugh! unfortunately we felt we had a bit of a sour atmosphere with other servers so if it wasn’t for christian this would’ve definitely been a completely different review! food was good and the chef came to make sure we enjoyed everything which was nice as you don’t see that in many other places!

You can't go wrong with a huge steak and of fries or some vegetables on the side . The food is great and the service is also really good . The food tastes great . Its a go to restaurant.

Had a lovely Father’s Day roast here. We travel about 45 minutes to come for our favourite roast 🥩. Despite it being really busy we received our food within about 20 minutes & service and staff were all amazing as usual, especially Lucy. Thank you all x

We had the most amazing roast. My husband and i had sirloin and was cooked to perfection. My husband likes his steak rare, me medium well done and they were perfect. Lovely veg, potatoes and Yorkshire pudding. Gravy was so tasty. Cheesecakes amazing. Sticky toffee i have to be honest and say it wasn't brilliant, bit dry, small portion needed to be hotter but would definately come again. Our main was on a plate but the chicken roast was on a wooden board. Plate would have been better as the gravy was hard to keep on the board. Great place.

Food was really good, very friendly staff. The only downside was that we had to wait almost an hour for our food and wasn't busy at all when we visited.

Service was friendly and quick and the music is always great. Our starters were nice and well presented. We both had a burger, as it was buy one get one free, ordering a Tennessee and Louisiana burger. Both brioche buns were so dry they crumbled and couldn’t pick them up without it falling apart, the chicken was somehow overcooked with the fried chicken coating soggy and undercooked, the BBQ burger was just unseasoned chicken breast with a slither of bacon on top and hardly any cheese. The components of each burger were barely present, considering they were £21 and £17 each - you would want them to be fully loaded and full of flavour. Sadly they were not. When asked how our food was, I was honest and explained the above, to which I was offered another brioche bun, which I declined as I know it would just be the same. There was no further offer of any assistance with our complaint - just the bill. Will not be returning, very disappointed.

I am not one to leave a bad review however; I recently had the misfortune of dining at this restaurant, and it was an experience I'd rather forget. From the moment I placed my order, confusion reigned supreme among the staff. When our food finally arrived, it was a comedy of errors. Wrong dish was brought out, my burger bun could have doubled as a hockey puck, and the entire meal was a disappointment. To make matters worse, when we politely raised our concerns to the manager, we were met with nothing but attitude and defensiveness which we very unprofessional. It's clear that customer satisfaction is not a priority at Texas Rocks, as it’s was more about giving feedback than getting in a debate about taking some drinks off the bill instead of rectifying the problem with the meal. Save yourself the frustration and dine elsewhere. To add the steak and rib meals my friends had were fine but the quality and experience doesn’t meet the price bracket.

We were blown away by the exceptional customer service provided by a young gentleman, Christian. He was incredibly approachable, cheerful, and friendly, making our experience truly delightful. Despite having a picky 3-year-old with us, he went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. Kudos to him and the rest of the staff for their brilliant service. We'll definitely be returning!

Brilliant Birthday treat for my son, we all had a blast. Food and drinks were lovely and all the waiting staff were knowledgeable, friendly and attentive. Hannah made the kids very happy with a birthday cowboy hat!

It’s a meat fest. Group of six of us. Hot rock steaks were amazing . Really tender. Burgers were varied as well. Altogether good experience with excellent service from Hannah. Draft Coro a was also novel.

Hannah was such a great waiter she was patient and she realised it was my birthday so got me a hat and muffin which made my meal. The food was amazing.

Turned up on the off chance. The managed to fit us in even though they were busy, and we had a great meal with friendly service from Hannah.
