Tesco Cafe in Wiltshire

Had the breakfast, really nice. They cooked the bacon how I asked, the staff are very friendly and helpful. It was busy but did not wait long at all. They offered to take my tray over which was really helpful. Fair price for what we had. Thank You

Asked for avocado on Sourdough with chilli and a couple of poached eggs on top it sounded delicious , when it came about 30 minutes later,It was normal bread that had not been toasted or had just about seen the toaster. The eggs were freezing cold and there’s no chilly in the avocado sent it back. I think the same eggs were put on top. It was even colder. I eat because I couldn’t be bothered to complain anymore. Not often I leave a bad review, but when the place isn't busy and you wait 35 minutes for a sausage bap, then they bring it out cold and with dirty cutlery, could Tesco please have a look at what's going on.

Since when was tesco brekky so good?! Yeah ok, i remember when it was dirt cheap back in the day, and then the overpriced, underwhelming Costa days. Seems like they found the right balance now. Better than weatherspoons and most greasy spoons imho.

Delicious! We arrived close to closing time, having had a very busy day and no time to eat. The staff were polite, friendly and promptly provided freshly cooked meals to two grateful customers.

I eat in the cafe on my lunch quite a lot and I have to say some of these comments can’t be right £15 for a cheese and ham baguette and a latte that false. I’ve never had a problem with food there it’s all ways been nice and the staff are amazing.

I waited quite a long time after the food... when the food was brought, half of the order was wrong... the receipt does not say what you are buying, like each individual item(and we had 2 menus, 2 drinks and 2 snaks), it just looks like a big total of "HotFood"...

Our breakfast was in the serving hatch for a while. Was cold when we started to eat. I took it back up to get it warmed. The eggs were nearly hard boiled after they microwaved it. Still had to go to the hatch to get them. Noticed there was a sausage bap still there for about 10 minutes. The staff walked by it time and time again

Staff should let customers know that waiting time is at least 40 minutes for food. Tried twice, there won't be a third time.

Staff nice enough but they never seem to have what I want. And the last couple of times the food has been cold

There's constant staffing issues but It's actually pretty decent when there is staff and they haven't run out of food, but literally every weekend we have tried they have two people working and limited menu in operation, Tesco or whoever runs it really need to sort out the staffing issues, don't be tight.pay for some older members of cafe staff! Or did you spend all the money on the refurbishment. I feel sorry for the two staff on each weekend (particularly Sundays) that have to do everything

Great for a quick snack, friendly staff

30 mins waiting for cooked breakfast the egg was raw, beans cold, sausage was pink in the middle my wife had scrambled eggs came out cold sent back absolutely disgusting, three young teenagers running the cafe, get a grip whoever is in charge

Only popped in for a latte today not sure why as never been happy with it before. I checked their food menu & we decided to order just a snack of cheese & ham panini, after biting it to it decided to open it up as there was no taste at all only that it was doughy . The filling was non existent as you can see from my pic just one dob of cheese & weird tasting ham was not amused as I'd just paid £15.00 for this so took it back & complained she had to make me another one & for my benefit add more cheese. They are only allowed to put one small slice of each. I will definately not return here what a waste of money !!!

It's had a layout change since I last went,more tidy & brighter now👍🏻Very pleasent & helpful staff,as always. I did order the chicken fillet burger today,the bun was smaller than my nail🤦‍♂️the portion is kids size tbh but at dad's price. Big baps please Tesco👍🏻

The worst breakfast i have ever had, 35 minute wait for a breakfast that looked like it had been dropped on the floor, the sausages were burnt, eggs were dried out,the bacon was a greyish colour, there was no tomato, just juice, the hash browns were overcooked and tasted of stale fat, beans were lukewarm, black pudding was falling apart,seeing as i paid over £18 for myself and the wife's breakfast and drinks, would expect better,will post pic

It’s a hit and miss with this cafe, not in terms of food, but staff. We came one time and we had the nicest experience, the two ladies that served us were lovely. We came back, because of the service, and there two different ladies. The experience was completely different as these ladies were rude, abrupt and challenging. Customer service really lacking. It was such a shame as we’d had such a lovely experience before. Amazing what a difference good staff makes for the customer. If I was the manager of this place I’d be furious with the members of staff giving such a poor experience. Before we ever go again, we would check out who is working here first. That level of rudeness does not deserve our money.

First of all the had no "all day breakfast" left at 3pm (how this happens is beyond me since there is literally a shop next to it with all the food needed, and more!). So we went with Brie and cranberry toasties instead, these turned up and were not even close to being toasted, they were doughy and stodgy (that's being polite!).The tea and coffee were nice though.

Waited an aged for food to arrive, when it did it was the wrong meal and it was cold, I thought informing the staff would be pointless as they appear not to be able to organise a knees up in a brewery. It’s cheap and cheerful but as food service and food quality go you’d be better off to just eat out of the bins outside, be quicker, warmer and probably more flavoursome.

Great cafe! Friendly young woman on till offered iced tap water (hottest day ever) and the all day breakfast was a tasty bargain. Many thanks and recommended.

The Cafe at Tesco Extra Salisbury can be hit and miss but today (12/06/2022) I was very pleasantly surprised. At 10:30 in the morning the cafe was clean and tidy, the staff (especially Rowan on the till) were friendly and welcoming. It was fairly quiet and I only had to wait 5 minutes for my food. As mentioned before the tables were very clean and when my food arrived it was cooked excellently and tasted delicious. Maybe because it was fairly quiet on a Sunday morning the service and cleanliness was better than usual, but I really enjoyed my visit here today before doing my shopping.

Very nice food and frienly staff

The service was lovely. The cafe decor was pleasant. The coffee was good. The food was REVOLTING. My scrambled egg was indescribable but I will have a stab at describing it, purely so that no one else ever orders it again. Take two hard boiled eggs. Mash them with a fork then fry them in a dry pan for 2 hours and serve but before you serve it, make sure you deliver the meal to the wrong table and return it to the kitchen so it can congeal properly. It was more rubbery than a dunlop tyre but not quite as nourishing. The chef needs a refresher course!

The person serving at the till taking orders is useless. There is a foreign person that also takes orders as we learned the next day is knowledgeable. We were waiting for 20 minutes, third in queue. I had to leave and my wife stayed. In that time I got the shopping done and petrol from the local BP. Then picked the wife up. The next day we popped in for breakfast if there was no queue. We ordered and the same slow individual screwed it up the order. How ever, the foreign person as expected. Had a brain and sorted the sloughs mistake.

Omg waited for 20 minutes to get served. Had a vegetarian breakfast cooked on the same grill as meat. So smell on food not good had a refund as vegetarian breakfast should be separated from meat

Awful cafe staff eating food from kitchen which is awful maybe they need to do ther food certificate again slow getting food out then cold toast always cold as it arrives tables not cleared only thing that isn’t cold is coffee’s think they need a team leader to shake them up and to especially stop eating from kitchen

Shocking. It took us 10 minutes to get served. The lady serving us constantly making us repeat ourselves over and over. Paid extra money for a proper full English, it came out cold and half cooked. Dry. Had no cutlery giving to us. Last time we come here

Delicious halloumi and avacardo muffin and really friendly staff

Before doing our shop we decided to have a breakfast and while the food was OK it was a long wait and almost cold it was obviously sitting around between plating up and brought to us it wasnt particularly busy a bit more organisation couldn't go amiss

This cafe has forgotten my order 3 weekends in a row. This week we only waited 45 minutes, which is the quickest they've been! The only reason I go back is I like to have lunch before I shop. Appalling device!

Waited 30 mins for 3 bacon rolls. Asked for 3 crispy 2 normal. Staff talking in kitchen and not working. This was at 2pm they then closed hot food and was doing sandwiches only. This is the 4th time in as many weeks that the service was poor

I would give less than 1 star due to rudeness of the staff member I came into contact with this evening. At 17:00 I asked downstairs what time the cafe opened till and was told 20:00. Thinking I'd get a cuppa before I collected my shopping as I'd just finished a 6.5 hour car journey I went upstairs to find it empty. As I could hear people working in the back I assumed they were cleaning down and figured I'd sit and read my magazine until someone appeared. At 17:40 another customer appeared and questioned me if they were open as she had been told they were. Suddenly a older female member of staff appeared and abruptly said they were closed and on Christmas opening times. That tesco do not own the cafe and therefore do not know the times. Surprised I replied they could do with a sign, to which I was told, quite rudely that she did not need a sign as she could talk! I replied that she can only talk when she's actually there to which she walked into the kitchen area and proceeded to complain about what I'd said to the other staff member who was trying to remove a comp to take downstairs. Again I replied that you can only talk to someone if you are actually there and I had been in the cafe since 17:10. As there was no reply I walked downstairs and reported her behaviour to customer services. So, if you are an older female staff member with long greying hair (which was loose) working around 17:30 on the 27th December. You were rude and dismissive when I had done nothing to deserve that, suggesting a sign was a genuine comment.

If you can call this service, not getting what we've ordered, I'd be less disappointed if they found food out the bin and served it. The so called bloomer toast is nothing less than the cheapest bread on the market. The staff Seemingly un-able to follow the easiest orders (if I ordered a tea I would expect that to come out before the meal) if you can call it a meal and they also had the audacity to to charge me £1.00 for a single slice of bacon, to top it all off not a single piece of cutlery or napkin in sight.

I ordered a breakfast bloomer. Now I have had bloomer bread many times in the past. What I was given was a cheap sliced white bread sandwich. It was dreadful and I wouldn't recommend them.

I thought I'd try coffee in Tescos this morning. I ordered a medium one shot latte. It was almost disgusting. Half the glass had lukewarm coffee in the bottom the rest was just foam. Won't be coming back here.

My mum had fish and chips the fish was over cooked and the chips was cold when she went up to complain first the ladies behind the counter ignored her so she banged on the counter to get there attention as calling them wasn't enough then when they did bring a new lot out they was almost chucked at her and the girl gave us I filthy look. I don't rate there customers service very high the food was well priced but again all wasn't very warm

I went to a Tesco cafe with my 2 young children under 5 at salisbury extra store. I normally pack lunch for my children as the kids meals are junk food or not fresh. I ordered my food and drink and let my children to have their sandwiches. A member of staff told me that I am not allowed to bring my own food in the cafe. I understand the rationale behind but expect the shop could give flexibility to the young children. As a customer, I'm happy to have fast food just to fill my belly. however as a parent, I won't want my children to put chicken nuggets, fish fingers and those 'freshly made' sandwiches in their month.

Quality food at very reasonable prices in pleasant surroundings.
