Tesco Cafe in Redcar and Cleveland

Been coming to this cafe regularly for years. Come today at 3.20 to be told breakfast (which is ‘served all day’) was off? I asked why they said they turned it off a while ago ‘to get cleaned ready for close’- which still wasn’t another hour and 40 minutes? They said all they had was Paninis or chips. Presumably because they didn’t require any actual cooking. The place was quiet we were one of three tables so it’s not Asif the close would have taken an exceptionally long time. I’ve worked hospitality myself and know that things can be ticked off ready for close but switching off the ovens 2 hours prior to closing is not one of those things. Absolute laziness

This has to have been one of the worst breakfast I have had delivered. all stuck to the tub egg was undercooked but also popped all over the hash browns so they stuck to the paper and dry toast no butter the bacon was rock hard and everything was cold. £20 just went straight in the bin. Very disappointed won’t order again shame I use to really enjoy there breakfast 😔

Missing a hot chocolate. If I wanted a £2 something coffee would have bought one but I didn’t I bought a £5 hot chocolate with cream and everything, that didn’t turn up though did it. Absolutely useless!!

The food itself is fine, but we're extremely annoyed by the portion sizes today. We've ordered several times before and not had an issue, but this is rediculous. Both of the kids meals came with only 5 chips in each, and the tiniest amount of sweetcorn. These meals cost £4.20 each.. it's absolutely shocking. The extra portion of chips that we ordered wasn't any better, with only 10 chips. Highly doubt we'll order again.

Despite being very busy the staff were friendly and welcoming and the food was quick.

What lovely calm place to eat, whether you're shopping or not! Very welcoming staff, serv8ng a wide range of snacks, meals and drinks. (I had scampi, chips and mushy peas, and an Americano).

Best breakfast. We had one full english and one waffles with bacon and maple syrup plus pot of tea for £13. Bargain and delicious.

Mango smoothie was lovely, breakfast was really small but tasted lovely apart from the black pudding was dry and rubbery.

No hash browns, no butter for the toast and the sausages weren’t even edible, totally rock hard. Shocking

Had a set menu. Starters were all lovely but mains a bit bland. Staff excellent.

I expected very little and was still left somewhat disappointed. Using their own budget products and selling them for the same price as you would expect to pay for quality ingredients else where. If you plan to come here budget a large amount of your time as you’ll be waiting a while for everything. It was a 2/5 because the children enjoyed their kids ‘pick and mix’ bags.

Good food nice staff will use again

The eggs had blue dye on them from the packaging didn’t want no bacon and there was bacon in there and the sausages weren’t even cooked, disgusting!

Two items out of only 4 missing

Food was nice but we ordered extras (2sausages, 2bacon and black pudding. These were not included in the meals and at £1.15 per item it was an expensive breakfast.

No straw for iced smoothie so couldn't enjoy it. Not a very nice breakfast either, egg was pityful

Bacon undercooked. Beans spilt all over. Egg didn’t have any taste. Toast was soggy. Everything was pretty much soggy and cold wouldn’t feed it to my dog

Perfect. Ordered a vegetarian breakfast and a coffee, food was boiling when it arrived, everything I ordered was there and it was delicious. Very happy, will order from again.

Hash brown wasn’t cooked properly neither were sausages. Buns were lovely and egg was nice and driver was on time

Really good breakfast, quick to arrive, well prepared and nice & hot. Well priced. Only 1 critisisum as previous customers have put on here. The fried egg HAS to be runny to dip your toast in

Food was absolutely disgusting paid for extra bacon and asked for no fat they sent bacon with fat definitely need to start reading the customers comments poor food and poor staff

One of the wraps were unbeatable due to meat being put in when it quite clearly asked fir a vegetarian sausage and in the notes stated that one of the wraps were vegetarian

Food came chips littrally where 1/4 full bacon looks uncooked and so does the sausage

Dont bother ordering they miss stuff off, and you cant get in touch, its just an automated service offering a refund...

To expensive for what you get plus delivery.

Ordered a pizza for a vegetarian and sent sausage and chips not what we ordered then tried calling and wouldn’t connect through what a joke

Called in for breakfast. Excellent service from Donna. The quality was generally very good with the exception that the fried egg wasn’t runny. What’s the point of a fried egg that isn’t runny?.

We ordered too breakfast they came cold and it was a joke for 5 pound 1 sausage 1 bacon 1 egg 1 hash brown and a tea spoon of beans never seen anything like it before the egg didn’t even look cooked it all whent in the bin would never order again from there

Food was cold on arrival. Surprising since we live only 5 minutes away. Driver took an awkward route on delivery which delayed our service. Disappointed in general.

The Fish &chips and Mushy peas were beautuful. Pipping hot and cooked to perfection .Very tasty indeed. Highly recommend them. Thank you

Portions wouldn’t fill a toddler.

The food was lovely. The Black Americano had milk in it and so couldn't be drank.

The breakfast was okayish but I don’t understand why the two portions of butter were put in the container with the breakfast, surely the butter should have been placed in the carrier separately. It was quite disappointing when I opened the butter and it was liquid. I paid £9.00 for the food and it was delivered on time so I have no problem with the delivery but it was off putting when the butter spilled out.

didnt bother to read the order, sent wrong food. cant get inb touch to resolve it, dont waste your money ordering from these people

The lasses who work here are awesome! So friendly and always have a laugh with you. The service is awesome. Definitely recommend!

Great food actually as we had big breakfasts - little surprised that self service actually meant cleaning your own table and cutlery !!

For the price not a bad breakfast. Reasonable quality sausage, plenty of bacon, 2 hash browns, tomato and either toast or fried bread. Only negative both the fried eggs were hard, don’t people realise that the whole point of a fried egg is that it’s runny? All the staff were friendly and helpful.

Called in here before shopping in store as fancied a snack.decent choice and reasonable prices,clean and safe environment.staff helpful and pleasant even though small lady was busy on her own.it was getting busier and another 2 staff appeared.food and drinks were lovely and even collected Tesco points .would go back again.

After waiting over half an hour . Had to pay for 2 more teas as we had drank the first one by the time breakfast was delivered . Had beans on this placed on plate by mistake , though I accepted them . .all of it was cold and the bread (toast)made from stale bread .... never again
