Qalandars in Redcar and Cleveland

Absolute garbage. Garlic Naan bread like I have never seen the like of before, basically a flatbread smeared in green paste. Curry swimming in grease and no flavour. I wish I had taken a picture of the bread. Disgusting waste of money. All ended up in the bin.

Food was okay but the Tarka Dall box had leaked and spilled over the other food boxes, making a total mess. The restaurant charges £5 for delivery. It really needs to invest in well-sealed food boxes to improve its packaging and delivery service.

Oh my goodness!! I was in absolute heaven the whole time I was eating this. The peshwari naan was to die for and there was so much of it! Highly recommend- we will be back!

This was the first time my partner and I tried this takeaway, we were very impressed with the quality of food, the chef specials chicken tikka and lamb tikka were phenominal, the rice was cooked excellently and the cheese naan was delightful. Food - 5/5 Absolutely delicious! Speed of Delivery - 4/5 food took 95 minites to arrive however this was understandable as there was only one driver working due to issues beyond control of the takeaway. Price - 5/5 We paid roughly £20 per person for a main, a portion of rice, a starter to share and a naan to share. The portion sizes were more than enough for myself and my partner neither of us could finish our meal fully but really enjoyed it.

you've got to pay more for decent flavour. Every dish was distinctive, full of flavour and well cooked. Delivered fast and with a smile by a lovely lass. what more do you need 😉

The vegetable curry sauces sent with the 5 Biryanis had all leaked out. We had to clean the oily mess with kitchen tissues. Next time, please send all food items in well-sealed packages with No leakages.

I always get curry here if in saltburn. Always very good. Such nice guys ! I forgot to order a naan but even though the kitchen was closed they just wouldn't have it that I had no bread and brought it to me. Thanks so much

What a find Tried this takeaway for a change from our usual place, we were not dissapointed, poperdoms and pickles, pilau rice, chicken malayan, lovely creamy sauce, loads of tender chicken and a lovely garlic nan. Delivery promised within the hour, it came in 40 mins. Cannot fault it, this has now become my go to takeaway.

Good if you want hair in your food! Won't be ordering from here again.

Ordered food at 7 for 9pm . Food still not here at 9.10 so called them. Told us food was on the way. Still no food at 9.30. Called again. Said would be with is in 5 mins. Asked if it had left at 9 like we had told as did not want cold food. Food turned up ay 9.55 and suprise suprise. Stone cold. 2nd time they have done this. I understand they have busy times but stop telling customers lies

Very poor value for money and very poor quality, chicken tikka starters looked like they’d been boiled not oven cooked, onion bhajis were swimming in grease didn’t even include any salad, chicken Madras was tasteless, a very disappointing 40.00 spent including a 5.00 delivery charge.

Down from Aberdeen Scotland staying at Rushpool Hall Holiday cottages. Decided to give Qalandars a shot and very happy with the quality of the food and service. Easily as good as any restaurant I have tasted over 40 years eating Asian/Indian quisine. Keep up the good work Qalandars.

An avid cook, it is disappointing to pay good money for poor food. However, after trying several Indian restaurants/ takeaways we came across Qalanders, easy order and pay, good reviews and adding to those our takeaway was fabulous and will be our go to for authentic food. Personal comment: put the "make a review" comment box much more clear and available.

I have only had a takeaway from here On Friday the 6th of August 2021. I had sheek Kabab starter then Lamb Jalfreizi with Fried Rice. All of it was truly superb. I ordered and went to pick it up myself so can not comment on delivery. But the food was stunning. I will definitely be back for more.

Overall poor quality would certainly not use again will be going back to anias Indian in redcar night and day in food quality

First time ordering from here and it didn’t disappoint. Delivery time was excellent. Food was delicious. Prawn biriyani and naan were excellent. Spiced just right for me. Highly recommend and will be ordering again.

Never actually got to taste the food because I sent it away having waited 2.5 hours for a delivery that said between 60-80 minutes! Ridiculous! Will never order from here again.

Had quite a few takeaways from here. I always get delivery so dont have experience of the shop itself. Last night ,15th August, i rang up for Lamb Madras, Fried Rice and a ,Mango Chutney side dish. Despite being told on the phone it would be an hour it arrived in about 20 minutes.Big portions and tasty food as always, though if i have one slight criticism its the Mango Chutney. Sharwoods it isnt, It was really quite thin.Quite tasty though. Never had a bad meal from here, and would certainly recommend the food and the always very good delivery service.

Best Indian meal iv had in a long time...

My partner and I have used Qalandars takeaway a few times now and have yet to be disappointed. We've tried a variety of dishes and all have arrived in good time, hot and full of flavour. Hope they keep up the good work as the Redcar and Cleveland area has never had a consistently nice Indian restaurant/takeaway.

First order last night, a great find. Fresh food, limited menu (refreshing) although would benefit from a few additions, eg. Chapati, which I understand may be included in a pending new menu and tandoori king prawns. Friendly, efficient service, quick, pleasant delivery. We will be back

I have had a few takeaways now from Qalandars and I am am not usually one for commenting on social media, however I felt I have to. Tonight I had chicken Tikka Dupiaza, which I requested without peppers due to wife’s intolerance regrading peppers (not a problem, all food cooked fresh) I have to say it is the best I have ever had, the flavours spices absolutely fantastic and everything else was fantastic. Fantastic Indian food. Please try the food you will not be disappointed.

Just had a beautiful meal, chicken meals both tender and so tasty. Salad fresh and mint sauce lovely. Peshwari naan, lovely, partner had only a small complaint that his keema naan was a little salty, however this will now be our new local, Thankyou x

We had a takeaway curry from Qualandars which was pleasant but I expect more heat and flavour from a lamb jalfrezi. It was a little on the bland side. The naan bread was very good and the starters were also very good. Service was prompt...

I live in Redcar and had never heard of this place but decided to try it because it's really difficult to find an Indian takeaway that is consistently good and this place had good reviews. Since then I have had three meals from here and every one has been absolutely delicious. I order by phone and every time they said they would deliver within the hour. The last time they were actually outside the hour but believe me, it is still worth the wait. As I said, it's difficult to find a good Indian, so I hardly ever order, but since I found Qalandars I have had three meals in three weeks and I'm already looking forward to my next one! As long as they continue to be this good I will continue to order from here, I can't praise this place enough!
