Tesco Cafe in Sunderland

Como algunos famosos restaurantes de comida rápida Tesco han adoptado el pedido a través de un sistema informático. Esto hace que se necesite menos personal y una experiencia sin alma. La única interacción con el personal era mínima y no contenía ninguna cortesía. La comida, 2 desayunos ingleses y un huevo de salchicha y muffin de queso estaban bien, sin embargo, eran pequeños. El café y los tés eran agradables, sin embargo, una Gracia salvadora en una experiencia pobre en general. (Se espera un poco mejor)

New cafe and ordering system but sadly its the same old tired, disinterested staff both front of house and cooks. Food is mediocre at best.

Fue muy decepcionante. Las mesas requerían autorización, y sentí pena por el personal que realmente estaba trabajando bajo gran presión. No había suficiente personal alrededor de la hora del almuerzo, y las mesas eran un desastre. El personal es siempre muy agradable y servicial. Las nuevas máquinas de pedido (dos no funcionaban) no aceptaban mi tarjeta Club, así que perdí en 21 puntos. Por favor, solo necesita a alguien que esté a cargo y tome la responsabilidad de toda la operación y no la Gerencia a distancia.

Enjoyed my food, a burger topped with egg & cheese with hash browns, the flat screen ordering system l don't like, some of the older generation would probably struggle with it. Also would be great to see the food cakes etc you are ordering.

Solía disfrutar del desayuno en Tesco, pero han cambiado la forma en que pide su comida y bebida. Todo es hecho por un sistema automatizado similar a McDonald's. No hay contacto humano. Salió y no volverá.

What a shame they changed it to those dreadful ordering screens, especially for a cafe with an older clientele. Now lacking in human interaction and the ability to see the cakes etc before ordering. Also, the "blood orange winter warmer" was undrinkable it was so sweet and sugary. Staff were quite rude when I asked if it was supposed to be like that, instead of offering an alternative.

Thank you Allison and the rest of the team - for the nice welcome and great service. We really enjoyed my Jacket Potato (Tuna mayo and spring onion)with orange juice, Scampi and chips with coffee. Plates were cleaned!!! Love the the good qulaity of the food and great service. Keep it up!!!

Staff were brill, really courteous and brought me an extra egg when smaller than expected even though I hadn't said anything. Proper cafe.

Been for breakfast today and it was so nice. The lady on the till, Tyler was so polite and even carrying my tray. Very nice will visit again

Excellent menu choice, value for money. But it gets busy.

Only ordered pouches eggs on toast and they still managed to mess that up giving me a rock hard boiled egg and burnt toast, wouldn’t recommend to anyone l, save your money and go to Greggs instead

I ordered my 20month old grandson pancakes and blueberries. He ate the blueberries but would not eat the pancakes. When I checked why they were rock hard and he could not bite them. I couldn’t cut them with a knife!! They had been heated in a microwave. Goodness knows for how long!! Train your kitchen staff correctly!!!!

Found one of your staff who was named Lynn by her badge very rude and its not the first time this has happened by the same person so will not be going back ever again

Tesco is the answer to my grocery needs

Great food and prices but staff not the best no napkins or cutlery and tables alway need cleaned and staff never available when need serving

A lovely cafe with decent snacks and drinks after some shopping.

Found 15-20 dead fruit flies in a bottle of vinegar after using it allover one of our meals and eating it all. Resulted in vomiting it back up. Got a refund for one meal that we used it on but not the point. They can contaminate food and the fact that there was more than 15 flies just shows the bottle hadn’t been checked for a while. It hasn’t been stored correctly as they’ve been able to get in also.

The cafe is very good. Good menu with plenty choice. Meals nicely presented and excellent service. Lovely friendly staff.

Long wait time, and I have used the cafe several times now, breakfast was very average, I will stick to Morrisons I think, my breakfast did not seem fresh I feel underwhelmed.

A quick breakfast sandwich and coffee before shopping. Cafe clean and staff friendly, sandwich good as always.

Mushrooms should come with a breakfast not pay extra. Or swap for tomatoes. Do a decent coffee ☕️

I feel the need to leave a very positive review as the staff here go above and beyond and should be recognised for doing so. It’s not the first time I’ve been in this particular caffe of late and have had a very happy experience.It wasn’t just the food and coffee which I very much enjoyed. It was a combination of things but mainly the helpful lovely staff was were serving. Even tho it was obvious that they had a busy day it was noticed that the staff mainly a lady who made a big effort ..and made me feel happy ,counted and cared for as a customer.It wasn’t just me ,I overheard a couple of ladies on the next table remarking on the quickness of there order and they were impressed. Just wanted to share my experience and show a little thanks and appreciation.

Went about 1 on a Sunday was told there is 30 minutes waiting when we we looked around most people we're eating and it was only 1/4 full so went to morrisons instead and gave them our money instead

A pleasant cafe with a variety of seating over three areas. There is a good range of food, at reasonable prices and service is quick. They have a few tasty treats for Christmas, providing you are prepared to forget about watching the wasteline. It is all well lit and the coffee has a decent taste. There are lockers for trolley storage but they do not have locking doors. I was particularly impressed to witness a member of staff, put his hand over his mouth, when he sneezed. He then went and immediately washed his hands. Much to be commended. All in all, it is a nice place for a refreshing break, either before or after shopping.

Small cafe inside Tesco at Sunderland only got a coffee which was fine don't know what the food is like.

A few of us needed lunch and ate here on match day. It was fine, but it’s basic cafe fare. One order was very slow and took about 25 minutes. The rest had no issues.

Always found it to be pretty decent, absolutely fine for a quick coffee/tea and a bite to eat when at Tesco's for some shopping. The prices are very reasonable and there's plenty of options for kids meals. Would recommend the chocolate orange loaf cake. The staff are very helpful, special mention to Andrew. 👍🏻

Very poor quality breakfast. Even managed to burn the toast!! Service okay. Very few cleared tables to sit at. Won't bother again.
