Tesco Cafe in Sandwell

Very rude staff i.e Lura. Attended cafe today and instead of being customer service focused she felt it appropriate to dismiss me and assume she knew what I was going to ask. We quickly established she didn't so had to explain. Now if you don't like working in a customer service role....please leave..we as customers dont appreciate miserable attitudes. Thank you.

Worst staff ever, ignorant. Almost throw the food at you.. more atmosphere in an ants nest.

Skirting boards need a good clean Lamp shades are full of dust Server with Long blonde hair flicking it everywhere , apart from all that Staff are friendly, food is good

Friendly stuff and good service

I usually stop here after shopping for a hot drink or even lunch. Unfortunately, I will never be coming back after I was served food with the most filthiest cutlery I have ever seen. Pictures attached.

Had not been in Tesco cafe for about 3 years discovered they had pre pay machines thought you then had to take to the counter but you didn't the woman was rude and abrupt behind the counter telling me you had to sit down should not speak to customers like that

A bit of a quibble . Had a late meal 12 12 23 . As I was the only person left at about 5 45 noticed a staff member cleaning up and sweeping up around me . Then at 5.54 another staff member came over to collect my plates in a slightly hurried fashion. If the cafe area has to be Vacated by 6 then you should have a sign.

Myself and a lady I care for who is in a trust couldn't pay cash dew to card only payment.this left my lady v upset .why isn't there a cash payment option .

Manager nearly bit my head off when asked for runny eggs for my son. Shouted so all could hear. Very unprofessional for a manager. Snotty so and so

Me and my daughter called at this cafe in West Brom Tesco for a breakfast and Omg !!!!! the young girl that works in there I didn’t get her name has no customer service skills what so ever . I asked for a napkin when she brought my latte over as she had spilled all the drink into the saucer ….. She points and says …… there over there Pointing to the counter couldn’t care less about what I was asking , Now there was no I’ll go fetch it for you as U have just paid £4 .56 for a drink that’s now all in a saucer ready to drip all over your cloths …. Or so sorry but I’m a little busy would u mind fetching it yourself or anything to that effect ….. so off I went to the counter left my trolly by my table Only to find out from another girl (who was her sister) that the napkins were actually under the serving counter !!!! So how bad was that coming from a girl that actually serves the public how lazy and unhelpful she was , just a pity I didn’t get this young girls name shame on you . And I certainly won’t be giving them my hard earned money to contribute to their business again ever . Sort your staff out who ever the manager is ( probably the mother ) manners goes a long way if your brought up properly that is .

Having to order at a terminal is terrible the staff are obviously annoyed with questions the keep geting as after orders are placed

Called in for a cuppa but left without ordering anything. Although I am OK with touch machines, I would prefer to order from a human. If you use the touch machine you have to enter a table number first. How are you supposed to do that when the tables are not near the machines ? Cost cutting by Tesco and I think it is a bad idea.

Tesco Cafe has a cold & isolating atmosphere. The staff are not helpful & are passive to any quiery... The self-service has table numbers on the side bar, which is not visible. Asking a young staff member who ignored me tel I raised my voice a few times asking same question until l got here attention than she passed me on to another staff. She was so rude by waving her arm away with me! As sitting & observing the site, I noticed that 2 old ladies had the same issue & they reacted the same way by walking to the coffee counter.

The new machines have issues beware of staff and machines staff to try and help. Overall, the fact is there is no manager to keep an eye on them. So I would advise everyone to ask for help with the machines before attending.

Mark & I usually come here once or twice a week. Julie, Sue and the staff are very obliging & helpful and quick to correct any mistakes & this is done with a smile. We do sympathise that customers cannot use cash, but overall we are very happy with the service.

Mark & I are regular visitors in Tescos cafe. We went yesterday & Sue couldn't have been more helpful by making sure we ordered correctly on the machine, and listening as Mark wanted his fish extra crispy. I love all the staff here, from Julie, Emily Jack and Sue. They all work so hard and please be respectful to them, they are doing a incredible job in hard circumstances.

They have started a self serve system , like at mcdonalds, many people not going in because of this, especially pensioners. We want to he served by humans , not bloody screens.

I use Tesco’s cafe after shopping once a week and have always found it excellent until I went there today. Tesco’s has now decided to discriminate against older customers by putting in self-service machines where food and drink can only be payed for by card. It’s impossible that Tesco aren’t fully aware that many older customers don’t use cards so they can no longer use the cafe. Today I saw two very disappointed and saddened looking older customers who discovered that they were now no longer welcome by Tesco. I was with my aunt who wouldn’t have been able to dine there if she’d been alone. This is an appalling decision by Tesco showing a complete disregard for older customers. The new system benefits no one but them (in whatever way) The second issue is one that I can’t believe that Tesco hadn’t considered before putting those machines in. They put single customers at a disadvantage. For example - a single customer sees that there’s free table and so starts ordering his meal. A couple arrive and one of them goes inside and takes the table. The man finishes his order, pays for his food and goes inside to find that he has nowhere to sit. Could Tesco’s really not have foreseen this very obvious issue. Or isn’t it really the case that they didn’t care. Finally, and less importantly (but still worth mentioning) shoppers in a cafe like to have a pleasant experience. Especially older customers who enjoy the interaction with the staff (who are all efficient, hard working, helpful and friendly by the way) Tesco has now turned the experience into a sterile, automated one with absolutely no benefit to them whatsoever, as well as telling older people that their custom is no longer required. Hang your heads in shame Tesco. An appalling decision. Corporate greed showing an utter disregard for customers…..as usual.

We ordered toast and tea. The butter the toast came with was a dish of liquid. We were told it was because it had been by a heater. They never know how to make toast its still white. The tea was awful it was like it was stewed. We have been there several times but no change so we are off to Greggs next time.

Convenient for a sit down and a coffee during a big shop. Nothing spectacular other than that. Staff seem friendly enough. Coffee is priced similar to big chains, didn't try the food so can't comment on that. Would come back here regularly purely out of convenience.

Went today for lunch with family, fantastic food and staff very nice and polite and friendly . Not at all what you expect from a supermarket cafe, definitely be going back soon!

Tesco cafe always great and affordable food with amazing customers service. Lunch time is a little busy so you'll have a wait but it's definitely worth popping in before doing your shop. They also have plant based options in terms of milk and food. There coffee with plant based milk is better than costa.

Mortison’s Cafe Wednesbury should take a look at this cafe to see how this kind of place should be run. The place is always clean (no trays or plates left on the tables) the staff are friendly (to be fair, so are Morrison’s) the food is very good and, unlike Morrison’s, you don’t wait ages to before you get it. A couple of nitpicks …… you can’t get a cold sandwich here (surely Tesco’s are missing a trick here) and there are some tables with more comfortable cushioned chairs but some with hard chairs. Surely Tesco’s could stretch to cushioned chairs for all tables?

I come here quite regularly before I go to work in the afternoon food its served hot drinks are a good size for the price.....plenty of seating areas available great staff smiling and friendly

I went in Tesco cafe West Brom and the girl with tattoos all over and black hair asked me for a tip she only brought my food to the table she’s always with the Chubby girl with blonde hair the blonde hair girl is always on her phone during work the food is good apart from they gave me real meat sausages on my Vegan breakfast and had to change it’s just the staff and the young ones really !!

Excellent service and good food. My granddaughter left some items in the cafe and they kindly kept them so I could collect them! So helpful.. I’m really grateful thank you 😊

It's an okay cafe, with enough tables and chairs so there's usually a place available. The coffee is, again, okay but nothing special; food selection is adequate (but, in fairness, it is just a supermarket cafe). The regular staff are fine; polite and civil (though there doesn't appear to be enough of them, hence they are sometimes stressed). One of the managers speaks to her staff in a particularly aggressive manner, publicly and within earshot of customers, which is humiliating for the staff and embarrasing for us customers - hence, only a rating of two.

Went out for brunch dirty tables rude staff burn over cooked food. Never again table service awful. Never again beware. People

The strange situation here is that there isn't many hot food options, particularly vegetarian after 3pm. This is despite the café being open till 6pm. Okay if you want a panini or cake and hot drinks, but not so good if you want hot healthy food during the colder months

Very friendly staff, big variety in the menu, kids menu available also. Probably not enough staff in the morning, a porter will help to clear the tables and clean them also. Fresh products on all dishes, coffee thou is a tricky one, always ask for the specialty coffees cos otherwise the filter one taste like the water after moping the floor, no offence. All in one, it's a good place, nice design and a cheap place to have some good food.

We had to wait for a while to be served, but the portions in the jacket potatoes were worth the wait. What is slightly annoying is the small portions of butter are placed in top of your salad.

Staff were rude. No clean forks. When asked for them was told to wait. They were busy. On positive . Food order came fairly quickly and was hot .
