Tesco Cafe in Arun

The cashier who served us was very unfriendly and even rude to my daughter. All but one carried this unfriendly attitude - and the one was absolutely lovely and jovial; appreciated her ❤ The waffles were the best I've had; but, given I had the bacon removed, I was overcharged.

I haven’t been to the Tesco cafe for years, but after a disappointing experience at the Sainsbury’s cafe I thought I’d give this ago again. Well what a surprise!!!! Totally different from how it used to be!!! Previously this was a hot buffet style breakfast, take your tray and plate tell the staff what you wanted from the already cooked options. Now EVERYTHING is cooked fresh and to order. And boy o boy it’s fresh. You can even choose between toast or fried bread…. When the food arrives it’s piping hot and I mean hot. Eggs are perfect the fried bread is crispy and not too greasy. Very tasty sausages bacon and all other components on the plate. For the price you can’t get a better breakfast locally. Much more tasty than Spoons.

Very little regard for customer experience in this establishment. I queued for 20 minutes, waiting to order food for 2 young children, only to be told at the till that contactless payment wasn't working. There were no signs, as it is apparently against company policy to inform customers and is actually banned by upper management. Perhaps my experience working in hospitality has raised my expectations beyond reasonable standard, but I am extremely disappointed that none of the members of staff felt it worthwhile mentioning this to queuing customers, to avoid wasting their time. Would probably have helped increase the speed of the very slow service too. The food and drinks looked very nice, but I can't fairly comment on anything.

Nice place for a spot.of lunch and better than the rival supermarkets in the area.. Often visit for lunch but not all items appear as nice as what they are advertised as.. Tried the NY bagel and it appeared slightly flat upon what was expected, but still edible..

Excellent brekkie, super hot, very tasty and crispy hash browns not soggy. 5*

Apart from the purple headed girl arguing with and putting her colleagues down in front of everyone. Much improved since I last went. Food delivered quickly.

I ordered 2 breakfast for me and my partner for a birthday treat , the food arrived cold , missing hash browns , hot choc all over the bag , and if honest for the price of them it’s a joke for what you get ! I’ll never eat there again and I’ll advise friends and family the same . Just a really horrible start to my birthday so thank you Tesco / just eat

Stopped for a drink after doing some shopping in the store, well laid out and service from the staff was fine.

Took an elderly lady in a wheelchair shopping at Tescos today and called in to the cafe for lunch.It was NOT a good experience. At a few minutes after 12, I started queuing...and the only cook announced he was going off on a break!This meant that there were NONE of the main dishes available,just breakfast or ready made sandwiches and cake.This left just 2 lovely woman doing their best,nether of whom were trained to cook anything.I believe neither of the women have been there long.A large queue(people thinking they could order the items advertised of course)...my companion waited 20 minutes for her fry up,and I waited 25.The women were most apologetic. The breakfast itself was fine but of course we had finished our hot drinks by the time the food came. Many people had walked out (we would have done had it not been for the wheelchair with us.) Everything in the cafe is dirty,,teaspoons stained,cutlery not washed properly,teapots stained,floor needed sweeping,tables piled high with dirty crockery. It's half term week and it was lunch time...for goodness sake, GET SOME STAFF AND A CLEANING ROTA!

Popped into the cafe for breakfast with my son, had to que for 10 minutes to order a breakfast, no scrambled egg at 10.15 am. My breakfast came out after others that had placed there ordered after mine. Hash browns were burnt and the rest was cold. DON'T BOTHHER TO GO ON A SUNDAY

Food is always well cooked and nicely presented, menu kept to a sensible amount so they are able to concentrate on making what is on offer well done.
