Terrazzo del Giardino in Stafford

Confusing lunch experience. Table and chairs very dirty. Ordered a sandwich. After getting back to the table waitress asked if we'd ordered a sandwich, confirmed we had. She said she'd go and ask the chef to make it and we should go to the till for a refund? Sandwich then came. Waitress came back and said forget the refund because we had the sandwich?! We didn't ask for a refund in the first place? They then tried to bring our the same sandwich again.

The butter for the scones was exceptionally soft and was already turning rancid. It was a most unpleasant experience.

For Caffé Bello. Just an average coffee shop. Coffee wasn't that great, the nicest part was the millionaire shortbread. We visited in January, very cold... Might want to consider this if you plan to sit and have a nice chat and a coffee, 90% of people had their coats on. One of us asked for extra-hot; waitress couldn't tell us which one it was. We came at 10am-ish, by 12pm they had run out of cows milk. All things considered, I wouldn't visit again or recommend it at this time of year for a coffee date/meet up.

Lovely place but every time I visited I ask for hot chocolate with cream and marshmallows but they have never got cream or marshmallows, they are advertising Christmas hot chocolate with cream in various flavours We have visited at different times on different days so it's not an end of day run out

Lovely lunch with a friend a few weeks ago in the gorgeous outside area Staff went above and beyond our expectations to help us with everything. Food was exceptional it was a delight. The only downside was the price of the wine which was excellent but so expensive for such a small glass. We would recommend it very highly x

Very disappointed that there is no vegetarian menu just "one of the meat dishes can be adapted"

What can I say, worst pizza I've had!shop bought pizza base, there was far to much topping so when it came the Bolognese on pizza was cold and the cheese wasn't even proper mozzarella it wasn't melted. Really shocked an Italian restaurant can sell such bad pizza. The sea bass was nice though and service good. I wouldn't return though. I wish I had complained at the time.

Visited this place a few days ago for the first time and it was good. The service from the waiter was exceptional and the best I've ever had, charming, chatty and knowledgeable on the menu. Unfortunately the day I went numerous items were not available, but the food was flavoursome and decent portion size. Definitely would recommend to people passing by.

Love the food here and decided to have afternoon tea for my sisters birthday. THIS IS THE BEST AFTERNOON TEA EVER! Unlimited tea/ coffee very fresh sandwiches and the amazing Italian cakes were so tasty, this is a real treat - go enjoy and see/ taste for yourself. Last but not least, the most friendliest staff ever, THANK YOU

Lunch time with a friend. Sadly a drink request was not met as this was not available. Drinks arrived in good time. Meals chosen; my aubergine dish was not available! My alternate choice was very flavourful but have suggested to chef, less balsamic is required as I felt it over powered the dish! Lovely surroundings (based inside a garden centre) inside and out, although too windy to sit outside.

THIS IS NOT THE CAFE IT'S THE FORMAL ITALIAN RESTAURANT Apologies for the capitals, people are leaving reviews for the canteen style café that is situated to the front and side of Terrazzo del Giardino. Terrazzo del Giardino is a formal Italian restaurant set within the garden centre and it's a fabulous little restaurant with a great menu, great food and great service. You don't normally need to book a table during the week but it's sensible to do so at the weekend. It's family friendly and a favourite in my house.

It took 2 and a half hours to get 2 courses. The food was very nice but the service was appalling. We waited over half hour before we even had our drinks. My wife had to send her wine back because it had gone off. The serving staff did not return to ask if we wanted more drinks. The staff were very polite and pleasent but they could not keep up with only a few tables. It was a real shame because the food was exceptional but the poor service has put us off returning.

Last time I went it was shut no explanations before that it was shut all over covid. It needs consistency now so if management can't manage get a team who can.

Disapointing to be honest. It's canteen- quality food at resteraunt prices. I visited with a friend and the surroundings are lovely, the waiting team very friendly and efficient but the food itself needs to be better. I won't come again now. Tried it twice and both times disappointed. The first time I complained and it was dealt with efficiently. The soup today came with bog-standard sliced bread (a nice fresh roll would be better) and my quiche was not good. A big wedge but it was a like dry egg omellete on pastry. No cheese. Not a quiche in my eyes. The flat white was also bland/milky. Sorry trentham, but I really think you need to step up to the mark. It's a lovely place to visit but I don't recommend the food. (we ate in the cafe to the left/overlooking the gardens. Have had pizza and meals on the other side before, and that was much better)

Very busy because of the makers market but better now you wait to be seated and served at the table. Quiche was lovely and service was quick. Will revisit at a quieter time.

Was so busy when we went and really struggled to get a table. It then took more than 20 mins for 5 hot drinks and 3 cakes to get to us once we had ordered because they were so busy. What I will say is the staff were brilliant and run off their feet but very polite and full of smiles and very apologetic for the wait. The drinks and cake were also lovely once we for them.

Great food, really pleasant and friendly staff. Can highly recommend the vegan platter, it was really delicious and I'm not a vegan but it was so varied and very scrummy

Had oatcakes with Parma ham with mozzarella which was very nice shame it was served with stale crisps and a dirty knife, went to complain but only one person who was serving was around.

Lovely food. Lamb shank didn't fall off the bone tho but very delicious.

Best bacon & brie ever had & waitresses lovely. Only 4* as seating is uncomfortable. The wicker chairs have sunk in with wear & could hardly stand up after an hour. Some cushion pads would solve it.

Stopped to have a latte and 🍰 after shopping at trentham garden shopping village latte hot and cake lovely staff very nice lots of seating areas nice to relax after a long day not rushed to vacate seats sit as long as you want must try. They do lots of other food as well.

Just got in the restaurant in time for morning breakfast, the full English breakfast was delicious by both of us, the drinks were hot and very refreshing, Will be back soon for more delicious helpings on the menu, staff were very friendly and helpful, keep up the good work.

Great place! Good atmosphere, there's a choice of eating in or out. I had chilli lime skewers with Mediterranean couscous and it was lovely. Price was very reasonable too.

Certainly the best food we've had in a long time, service was wonderful, staff extremely friendly, food came prompt & hot, Tapas at its best....

Portions too big. Too much pasta. Had to wait 50minutes for our meal. However only one lovely chef trying to cope. So we were patient. Owner. You need step up

Firstly the good things...... Food quality and choice is excellent, risotto was fab! Vegetarian and flesh option. Price was reasonable, although wine was typically restaurant expensive. Area overlooking the gardens could not be faulted! Now things to improve...... Waiting time was excessively long and had to ask several tones why. Allowed us all to have a good chat though! Came to an agreeable resolution with the manager over timing issue though and will definitely be back to this establishment.

Enjoyed a vegan late lunch and was impressed with the vegan choices available on the menu. We were told staff would adapt other options to vegan if any had been our preference. Visited with a baby and asked for bottle warming which was provided promptly. Ingredients were fresh and it was evident all food was made to order.

Overpriced and very mediocre food. Struggling to serve the numbers in attendance post lockdown, especially during the lunchtime rush. Staff are friendly but just too few of them! Nice views of the Trentham Estate gardens if you can grab a table by the windows. Suggest just have a drink and snack (great looking cakes!), go elsewhere for a full meal.

Might of been nice if we had been served but ignored and others served before us when we had arrived before and seated by them. Cakes expensive and not that great

It was still half full of Christmas decorations with a minimal discount. Sell it off already and move on.

Visited here and sort of enjoyed the food, nothing you can't do at home though and for the price i'd expect a little umph! Good setting and portions were huge. Attention to flavour and presentation and a smaller portion and this would be a great foodie destination! Will try again though as I am always hunting for good food in Staffordshire. Next time one portion shared between two would be ample for lunch! p.s no bread offering.... it's an Italian and i've not met many Italians that don't take a side of bread with a pasta dish!

Busy and noisy with grannies and babies

I had home made soup at the time tate lovley,service which we had was very good too ! What I liked too was it's open space .

Food was very good a bit pricey But will always pay the extra than having a cheaper meal that is Rubbish.

The system they have in place is not very good. You get shown to your table then you have to wait for a waitress to serve you but there is no system for them to know which customers came in first so you just wait and wait, you have to catch their eye then they come to you. The latte's were not very warm and the scone was rock hard. I took our drinks back and the waitress made a good job of pretending she could not see me, so I had to keep saying excuse me , excuse me I told her the drinks were not very warm she said put them there and there was no place to put them so she did take them, after a long wait we did get our replacement drinks........

Very good food in an unlikely setting in a garden centre/retail park. Have eaten here many times and always enjoyed it.

Ok in the warmer months because dogs must be outside, unlike Percy Thrower that allows inside space. (Same company) This is why we never visit Trentham after September.

The Italian restaurant is closed for the duration. Caffe Bello, serving coffee cakes and wine has taken over the space with extra seating. Table service operates and no booking needed.

Went here with family wanting something to eat for tea like a burger or something. Only doing cakes and drinks, but boy are the cakes good! I normally finish a meal before writing a review, but one taste of the key lime pie and I was sold. Special is the word. Big thumbs up.

Lovely food and a great atmosphere

Lovely christmas menu and very reasonably priced.

Attended for afternoon tea on Monday afternoon as an 81st birthday treat for my mum. The ambience was lovely and on the whole was a pleasant experience. My only constructive criticism is not enough sandwiches, including choice and too many cakes. Tuna, ham and tomato and feta cheese with tomato and onion, although nice could have had another option added. No one liked tuna except one, so maybe a basic chicken or beef sandwich to go alongside them and more added. Three finger sandwiches is not enough. The cakes, whilst plenty and varied seemed to have been in cold storage all day. Room temperature would have made them seem more pleasurable, the result was cake leftovers and this is a no no in my family. The pots of tea were fantastic and the staff friendly and attentive. All in all I would give it 7 out of 10 but it could so easily be a 10. Not wholly put off we'll come again in a few months as it is a lovely place overall to visit.

Brilliant place with friendly staff and amazing food, all your traditional italian meals in extravagant portion sizes. Absolutely perfect in every mannor, severely good value for money and I'd live there if I could!

The place is nice but I ordered two things and one was good and the other was not, so not great.

Enjoyable Italian fayre, located at the back right hand side of the home & garden centre. Got a big appetite? Upgrade your pizza to the bigger size for just a little extra money.

Really good food here. Never seems that busy but I think that's because of its location at the back of the garden centre.

Excellent service, organic natural sparkling fruit water made with cane sugar! Beautiful food all fresh, presented to please the eye. Friendly staff who don't interrupt during the meal and a talented chef. I would 1000% recommend anyone to eat here.
