Terrace Restaurant at the Blakemore Hotel in City of London, Westminster

We came to this place for the first time and were very nicely surprised as the service and the food was great. The restaurant is very clean, specious and bright. Our food was very tasty, served with such a good presentation, and very enjoyable. The atmosphere was great too. We had a fantastic time. Thank you.

To start with the good part. The food was definately tasty. Good composition of flavors and nicely plated. But - and now comes the really bad part - it just wasn't worth the wait. It took at least an hour to get the food and even with only two on the order the service failed to serve the food at the same time. The first guest had already finished before the second got his food. And it really shouldn't take 30 minutes to serve ice cream for dessert. The overall impression was a really poorly organized service, as several tables were waiting without the restaurant being particularly crowded.

Comme nous avons séjourné dans l'hôtel éponyme, nous avons donc essayé le menu proposé par l'établissement. Tout comme pour l'hôtel nous n'avons pas été déçus tant par le service que par la carte des menus. Les prix sont à l'image du reste donc ne vous attendez pas à manger pas cher, par contre nous nous sommes régalé du début à la fin, c'est bien servi et les portions sont tout à fait correctes. A refaire en ce qui nous concerne.

Ristorante all’interno dell’Hotel Blakemore Hyde Park. Ottima cucina, piatti freschi preparati sul momento ,circa venti minuti di attesa tra la prenotazione e il servizio in tavola. Abbiamo cenato quattro sere e i piatti sono stati sempre curati.

El hotel en el que nos alojamos estaba justo al otro lado de la calle de Blakemore y cenamos 2 veces en el restaurante Terrace. La comida era muy buena, disfruté de un maravilloso pollo Kiev, la hamburguesa y el pescado y las patatas fritas también se veía genial. También disfrutamos del té de la tarde y fue bastante agradable. El servicio es lento, así que no tengas prisa. Esperamos más de 1/2 hora para el té, aunque habíamos reservado con antelación para que supieran que íbamos. El personal de servicio era muy agradable y servicial. Volvería a cenar allí si tuviera la oportunidad.

This restaurant was quiet and offered a nice menu and the staff were knowledgeable about gluten free options. Service was slow, but food was delicious and reasonably priced.

Only bad thing was that we order from home and when we arrived at 17 they looked suprised. We waited for almost an hour for our food/tea to come.

El hotel está bien muy bien ubicado y las habitaciones son cómodas sin embargo el servicio es bastante malo y no nos pudieron poner AC en el cuarto así que nos moríamos de calor!!! Un evento desafortunado se perdieron unas cosas del cuarto.

Mycket trevlig och tillmötesgående personal som verkligen brydde sig, och även var kunnig om viner. Maten var mycket bra och restaurangen liten och mysig. Rekommenderas!

Buen hotel con una buena relación calidad-precio en Londres, la ubicación del hotel os muy buena ya que fue central, el aire acondicionado no funcionaba por la noche y el recepcionista no podía hacer nada, tuvimos que pasar la noche de 18 hoyos sin aire acondicionado en el verano y la ventana no abre.

Esta fue nuestra última noche en Londres y llamamos para una cena temprana antes de llegar nuestro tren casavestíbulo muy elegante con un personal amable servicial. El conserje almacenados nuestro equipaje, con lo que podría ser más cómodo.El personal era agradable y atento. Tuve la £20. Menú 00 set. Mi compañero eligió desde el menú normalmi primer plato era una enorme Patata dulce y quinoa ensalada de queso de cabra, más como un plato principal de arranque.Mi principal era un pan de ajo lasaña vegetal con un nuevo plato bien preparado y presentado la oferta incluye una copa de vino.Por desgracia, porque me Comí una ensalada tal fui incapaz de terminar el plato principal!

A very nice atmosphere, friendly staff from all over the world. A good service, not too expensive, a variety of choices.

The Terrace Restaurant has excellent food, not to pricey & 1st class without being stuffy! We stayed in this hotel & loved both the accommodations & the terrace! Staff were marvelous!! Friendly & very attentive to our needs! Would highly recommend!

Colazione a buffet e abbondante.

Comimos allí en un jueves por la noche, mi esposa y mi hijo. El menú cambia todos los días (que) tenía una buena variedad de opciones sugerentes, ensaladas, sopas, mariscos y postres. Tuve puerro y sopa de patatas, salmón a la parrilla, una copa de vino tinto y un capuchino y bakewell tarta de postre. Pasó a ser mi cumpleaños y mi esposa dijo tranquilamente el personal así que mi porción de tarta bakewell tenía una vela y me cantaron el feliz cumpleaños. Ah!

we ate here on Saturday night as part of a celebration birthday meal, nice choice of food but when you add drinks the overall verdict was extremely expensive.

Looking for somewhere to eat on our last night in London saw the menu outside and thought we would give it a try. Warm welcome by all the staff, lovely Christmas decorations, clean comfortable and stylish dining area. Menu was simple but all found something we liked. Food beautifully presented, good wine and excellent service. A good end to our weekend in London.

This hotel was very close to my hotel. They have a nice selection on the menu and because I really wanted lamb, I gave them a try. The ambience was lovely for dinner and the service was excellent. I had lamb chops with lovely roasted veg and large mushroom cap, along with a glass of Malbec. The wine list is small, but has all you need. I ordered Sticky Toffee Pudding, served with a scoop of ice cream, for dessert and it was the best I have ever had! I look forward to eating at the Blakemore again, when next in London.

Came in without a reservation with 10 minutes left for last orders. Reception asked me to talk to the host. Alina was very helpful and determined, showed me my table and very efficiently toke my order. Wine selection is limited but very adequate, had a lovely valpoliciela with my perfectly cooked steak. The girl at reception also helped me charged my dead phone and saved my night. The only detail I have to add is that the double expresso served is massive, like the size of a black coffee.Working in this industry myself I know how hard is to maintain standards and great service.Well done guys. Special thanks to Alina that deserves a medal.

For was excellent and the service was impeccable. You can judge by the on line menu if this is consedered too expensive for you. But the food was very tasty and service can make or break a restaurant for me. This was 4 star service.

We were there for dinner. Nice and small restaurant, the chef is very helpful and is flexible on your requests, the staff are very friendly and service is with a smile. Food was tasty and the portions were perfect. a bit pricey especially the drinks but overall a nice dinner venue.

O restaurante fica no térreo do Hotel Blakemore e oferece um menu enxuto, mas delicioso. Uma variedade incrível de drinks e um ambiente externo maravilhoso. No frio tem calefação e oferecem cobertores.

I had chance to dine in Terrace restaurant few times in the past and never been dissapointed with food and service. Chef Antonio cooks the most delicious, mount watering dishes! He reminds me back home taste. Always right herbs and seasoning! I had soup as a starter and beef as a main. Heaven on Earth! Service always 5*! Marina will welcome you with a huge smile and little chat on the way to the table! All staff have great attitude and knowledge!Will be back soon again!

We had dinner in the evenings during our stay. The food was excellent. Very reasonably priced, and a good selection. The kids menu was good. The waiting staff were very welcoming, and very professional and courteous to loud obnoxious guests that loved the sound of their pompous voices, while conducting business over their mobile phone. The beautiful girls are saints to keep smiling during all that. Luckily we only had to endure said guest for 1 night beside us. He had to eat in the bar area the following night which he complained about too.

Had dinner during our stay i ordered the steak which was delicious unfortunatley my friend had the burger which looked nice but was cold, after complaining they took it away and then to our amazment brought it back still cold not good ! Ruined our dinner date will not use restuarant again

The food is nice, although not a varied choice of tea as with other afternoon teas. It was my mother in laws 50th birthday, and we requested for them to write happy 50th on her plate or something of the sort, however they failed to deliver which was a bit disappointing.

I met friends here for a drink staff are nice prompt and helpful , good location busy street easy to get a cab iff needed . Hotel rooms are modern new and stylish I viewed , toilets down stairs are so nice clean and new .. Well done to the owners you have taste and class

Had a two night stay at The Blakemore in Leinster Gardens. Truly excellent four star hotel where you want for nothing. High quality linen. Toiletries provided. Ate in the Terrace restaurant first night where we could not fault anything.

We had afternoon tea there yesterday and it was okay, nothing more and nothing less. The scones and sandwiches were good, but the selection of pastries was a bit disappointing as there were only macarons and brownies. Considering there were three of us one small pot of jam and clotted cream was a bit stingy. We asked for more scones which we were happy to receive, however the jam and clotted cream was again barely enough for the three of us. The atmosphere was so so. We were sat at a table very close to the lobby. I think it is fair to say we almost sat in the lobby, although the terrace restaurant was completely empty the whole time. Not sure why we did not deserve to sit there? In any case, we left completely stuffed and could not have eaten more.

Lovely quiet and relaxing setting and the staff are brilliant. Only had a something light to eat, but thoroughly enjoyed it.

We stumbled across this restaurant as we were staying at a (completely different) hotel a few doors up. My husband had booked the other hotel for our 10th Anniversary in December as we had some doctors' appointments that day and thought it would be a nice surprise. Unfortunately the hotel that we were in was so bad that we had to laugh or we would have cried - the Terrace Restaurant, however, saved the entire day. We walked in that evening on the off-chance and we are so glad we did. We were made comfortable at a table in the cosy bar area and seved drinks and nibbles while we chose our meal from the menus. Our food order was taken from there and we were left to relax until our food had arrived at the table. Through the whole evening the service was fantastic - polite, attentive and friendly without being interfering - the food was cooked perfectly and it was a lovely atmosphere. We thought that for the quality of the entire evening the bill was extremely reasonable. Next time we stay in London I will definitely be looking at staying there. What had been an otherwise stressful and disappointing day ended on a really good note and a lovely memory for our anniversary.

We have drunk in the bar twice and the service was very good, prices for drinks were a bit more expensive than the pub down the road, but you would expect that from a Hotel bar/restaurant. The staff were cheery and helpful.

Simple menu, but very well prepared. They have a new chef and he is trying his best to show his skills.Try the afternoon tea. For the price it is more than worth it. The sandwiches are fresh and the fruit scones are loaded with fruit. It really does compare with others that are way more expensive.

We were looking to have a cream tea in the area we were staying. We are not mean but some of the prices being charged were a little over the top. At the Terrace restaurant you will receive a delightful cream tea (gorgeous prosseco an added extra) at a very reasonable price. Booking is advised.Service was really good and you are asked regularly if you would like more sandwiches,scones,cakes if you find the serving is not enough.. Delicious! You may not get an amazing view of London but the restaurant is set in the front of a beautiful hotel.

the meals I had were fine but the greatest bonus is to sit outside on their terrace. Leinster Gardens is a quiet street and it is just pleasant to be able sitting outside on nice summer evenings with good food and a good beer.

Cela fut une énorme erreur, et nous conseillons à toutes les personnes lisant ce message de passer leur chemin.Nous n'avons jamais été reçu aussi mal dans un restaurant de toute notre vie...La personne à l’accueil de la réception nous a demandé si nous étions de l’hôtel, et quand nous avons indiqué que nous, nous avions réservé par téléphone mais ne logions pas dans l’hôtel, nous avons eu le droit à un regard des plus méprisants. Elle a alors refusé de nous donner la table qui se trouvait bien placée, près de la fenêtre. Nous lui avons indiqué que nous avions réservé dans l'après-midi, mais elle a dit que la table était pour d'autres, alors qu'aucun signe réservé n'était indiqué. Elle nous a vraiment traité de façon très rude. Elle nous a ensuite dit d'attendre et est partie, en nous pointant du doigt. Encore une fois, un comportement des plus désagréables dans un cadre normalement qui se doit d'être agréable. Elle est ensuite revenue en nous parlant de nouveau très mal, en nous indiquant que si cette table ne nous convenait pas, elle allait réfléchir. De manière très déplacée, elle nous a ensuite invité à consulter la carte pour voir les prix et vérifier "que nous ayons les moyens de diner ici". Ce fut la dernière insulte que nous avons accepté, nous avons décidé de nous lever et de partir de cet endroit.Honnêtement, c'est une des pires expériences de restaurant de ma vie, et je suppose que cette personne devait être raciste, puisque nous étions métisses.J'invite donc toute personne à éviter ce lieu, ce restaurant, puisqu'il est intolérable, à notre époque, de subir et de voir de tel comportement.

We complained about the scones because they where stone hard. After that we got new scones and they where frozen. Blakemore Hotel should not serve Afternoon Tea.

Had a two course meal whilst on a business trip. Good service and good quality food at a reasonable price for location.

Т.к. жила в отеле не один раз и длительный срок, в ресторане бывала часто и пробовала почти все, что есть в меню. Все блюда очень вкусные, особенно покорили десерты. Мясо и рыба очень свежие. Цены вполне приемлемые для Лондона

Overnight at this hotel, late night dinner after a busy day out and about in the city. Good quality, reasonably priced. Staff very friendly and offered great service with a smile.

Was a little disappointed by the selection of sandwiches and cakes and the actually quantity received for the afternoon tea. The champagne on the other hand was very good

We had a late lunch there - service was very attentive. Tandoori chicken for starters was wonderful, although the portion was on the small side. Caesar salad for the meal - excellent dressing. My niece had the vegetable lasagna and liked it very much. Quiet, classy, but not one of our more inexpensive meals.

Didn't stay at the hotel but after having a superb afternoon tea, I will be looking forward to staying next time I visit London. Service was excellent, they were more than accommodating when I brought my 13 month old daughter along with me and we were seated in a lovely table in the dining area with a nice view. I had the champagne tea and it was the best I've had in a long time and for a great price - £20. The portions are very generous and when my daughter woke up from her nap and helped herself to a sandwich, the waitress was kind enough to offer us more if we liked . Such friendly staff which made our visit a very enjoyable one. Thank you!

We booked this as an extra on our recent visit to London because of the Tube Driver's strike as it was more or less on the way to where were going. We had a pleasant half hour on the terrace at the front of the hotel; the food was OK if not spectacular. The bottle of still water was rather foisted on us, and it added £4 or so to the bill - so if you don't want it be firmer than I was! Not bad if you are in the area but not worth going out of your way for.

To few options from the menu. Although the terrace is very nice. Quite and elegant. I believe is overprice when compared to the quality of the food.

We came to Blakemore Hotel for the afternoon tea. There were 13 of us and all different ages, the hotel was able to host the tea party for our charity that we belong to. Contact the Elderly is the organization and we are the Paddington/Bayswater group. It was a tasty afternoon tea! My favorites were the egg and salmon sandwhiches, the macaroons, and soft fruit scones. Basically I liked it all so much when I visited with my sister that I just had to come out with the group. This was very special to the elderly people in our group and everybody commented on what an amazing place it was and how good the food was. We will definitely come back again! I highly recommend this place for your local afternoon tea, lunch, brunch, breakfast. :) FYI- They are wheelchair accessible which was helpful for our group and there is a toilet accessible on the same floor as well. Customer service is phenomenal, Gabby is my favorite server there. We had a blast and will be back for more soon. Thank you Ravi and staff for all your help in setting up this event for our charity!

The Terrace, which is attached to the Blakemore hotel along Hyde Park/Kensington Gardens is the perfect place for a leisurely spot of brunch or dinner. The menu is small but the food is fresh and delicious. The staff are very attentive and friendly and even if you are sitting outside you are not forgotten about. The terrace is covered by canopies allowing you to sit outside should you wish and there are heaters if you get a little cold. I would definitely recommend eating here.

I was not staying at the hotel, but my companion and I decided to try the Afternoon Tea Service, and were pleasantly surprised. The price was affordable and the whole meal was delicious and fulfilling. We ate inside and not out in the terrace because it was a bit cold. The service came with a teapot of your tea choice and four sandwiches, along with a scone, and two macaroons. I don't remember all the sandwich flavors, but there was a ham and cheese one, and my personal favorite was the Egg & Onion Sandwich, which I never ask for but it came with the meal. The scones and tiny macaroons were also delicious. I think, next time, I'll eat tea here everyday!

Part of the Blakemore Hotel near Hyde Park, this is a classy and expensive restaurant, but well worth the money. A limited, but excellent menu, the food is prepared to perfection, and the wait staff are attentive but not overbearing. Seldom overly busy while we were there, which was quite a surprise given the level of food, the staff, and the location. It is called the Terrace, and with nothing but windows on three sides, the place it is aptly named.

In due cene, tre persone, abbiamo assaggiato tutti i piatti principali del menù: tutto ok. Per essere il ristorante di un albergo non è neppure costoso, è molto facile spendere di più, specialmente a Londra

The location of the hotel is convenient and the tea room comfortable, with a quiet ambiance, and with very friendly service. I would suggest that the sandwiches should be made with much thinner slices of bread. They were cut into 'soldiers', without crusts, which is nice, but because the bread was so thick, the fillings were lost in the bread and the sandwiches much too heavy, with a tendency to dryness. For me, afternoon tea sandwiches should be much more delicate. Apart from that the food was fine, and liked the little cakes.

The pastry and scones were really tasty but there was a poor selection of teas, no decaf and the service was terrible. We were the only guests at the moment but everything went sooo slow! I don&#039;t know how many times one of us asked for a straw for the juice (since they didn&#039;t have decaf tea), and it never showed. <br /><br />If we asked for something it took forever to get it.

We only booked our afternoon tea on the day and it was wonderful. The staff were so friendly and accommodating and were great when we asked to upgrade it to a sparkling afternoon tea. Fantastic warm scones and delicious delicate macaroons! Would definitely recommend if your a tourist in London as it is just across the road from kensington gardens and is perfect for what you want from an afternoon tea and good value for money.
