Brilliant evening,until the end. Was told by the Staff told to "To Drink up and get the f*** out,we want to go home.( although we still had 20 minutes before we had to leave.When challenged we were told we were being aggressive.And the Police were being called (The two people of colour)Such a shame a Brilliant day ruined by a racist staff,wanting to finish early on New Year's Eve. DO NOT VISIT THIS PLACE

This place is changing to a Cocktail and beer Bar offering tapas. We have enjoyed fabulous meals here with a special board. Tonight we had a meal and the atmosphere has changed not for the better.

We booked a table for Christmas Eve. The surroundings are lovely. The service however was extremely poor. They clearly didn't want to be there and serve us. They were arrogant and very rude. Clearing food away whether we had finished or not. I will certainly NOT be recommending this bar as a place to go, purely because of the staffs attitude.

What a great little bar. Stumbled across this place tonight after leaving a far too busy pub. Warm, welcoming and friendly. We ordered a bottle of house red (a Rioja) which was delicious and only £18. Bargain. Will be back 👍

This was my first time here and I wish I discovered it sooner. The service was amazing and the food even better. We will definitely be back.

Lovely setting and excellent service. Burger was very good, butternut squash a bit disappointing. Would go again but order something else.

Lovely place for dinner and/or cocktails. The staff were really friendly and knowledgeable and the food was superb. No big long menu of frozen food here, just a short, fresh and utterly delicious selection. We are not local and came to Aylesbury for the Theatre, but if we were we would certainly make The Temple Wine bar a regular visit Quirky but excellent, we’d recommend it to anyone.

The Temple street wine bar was pleasant, It was down a quiet street. They offer cocktails and these are cheaper before 7 pm.We ate there and I found the food to be nice and tasty .The menu is not extensive but that’s easier in a way .The ambience was good and service was fine.I would recommend it if you go to Aylesbury.We went there as we spent the day at the amazing Waddeston Manor nearby. Former Rothschild weekend home.

Fabulous afternoon tea at temple wine bar - great service and yummy food

Wholeheartedly recommend. Nothing was too much trouble. Shared starters served but no rush to order main. Ordered tapas to share. Food was amazing - try the sweet and sour cauliflower.

7 years of living in Aylesbury and first time we have visited and wondering why. A little gem tucked away with a small but excellent menu, food fresh and high quality. Extensive cocktail menu alongside a compact and well priced wine menu. Throughly enjoyable meal and we will head back for sure.

This was our first visit here after being recommended by a local 🤔 Well we booked with ease and arrived a few minutes early but we were greeted by Lauren who was simply wonderful from the beginning to the end of our evening 😀👍 We even had something in common as we had stayed in her previous place of work, The Ship, Brancaster 😀😲 Anyhow our order came and was so appetising and cooked to perfection 😀👍 All in all a great place to eat and drink made all the better by Lauren 👍😀👏 We highly recommend you visit soon and enjoy the same experience we encountered 👏😀👍👏

A great evening out, lovely ambiance and great staff. The food was a little slow coming out from the kitchen but once it arrived it was very good. Delicious cocktails, and good wine. We will be back.

Lauren served us and was very efficient and knowledgeable with regards to the food, drinks/cocktails and generally what was available when we enquired about future events. We had the snack board which was really good and more than enough. The Expresso Martini was wonderful. We are looking forward to trying the afternoon high tea which sounds lovely.

The Temple Street Wine Bar is one of Aylesbury's hidden jewels set in an historic building. It is always a pleasure to eat here, or simply go for a few cocktails. The bar staff really know their cocktails and can also be very creative. Happy Hours make the prices for cocktails really reasonable too. There is draught beer available and a very good wine and champagne list. The setting is a wonderful wood panelled room in 'Old' Aylesbury town and the ambiance is always delightful. The menu is not extensive but does cater for all tastes. The chef is always willing to adapt as well. There are a range of sharing platters and tapas style starters as well as a full three course menu which changes regularly. The portions are generous. We were sad that we could not indulge in desserts on our last visit - too full!! In fact I would say that this is our Number One choice for eating out in Aylesbury whether that be lunchtime, evening or an early evening pre-cinema/theatre supper. Highly recommended.

We had a wonderful meal for my mums birthday, food was absolutely delicious and service, amazing! Even though there is no children's menu, they were able to make a child sized portion of fish and chips which was gorgeous! Thank you for our lovely meal!

We enjoyed the Valentine specials, beetroot cured salmon and rump of lamb . Thr gravy so nice that one of us asked for some bread to mop it up . The service was friendly, relaxed and efficient

I have lived here for a number of years and finally visited with friends for a Christmas meal. We were very pleased with the quality and quantity of the food for the price. I have paid double for much worse in pubs around Aylesbury Vale and even in London restaurants. The passionfruit cheesecake and mango sorbet is delicious. A nice range of wines. I would suggest perhaps a couple more fosh options on the a la carte menu, perhaps sea bass/sole etc. Just one suggestions which is the lighting. Where we were sitting we couldn't see our menus. Perhaps portable battery-operated LED lamps could be used on the tables? I can see why candles would be a fire risk in such an old building. Good friendly service and a nice atmosphere.

Sunday lunch was super as usual; Lauren, affable, likeable and informative offering great service and attentiveness. Great cheese board for dessert; best cheese selection I've had in a restaurant. If you haven't been...........you're missing a treat.

I went here with a group of about 10 work friends for someone's leaving do and was not disappointed. It was very quiet in the bar, no one there other than our group which was nice and all of the staff were very attentive and good humoured throughout the evening which added to the atmosphere. Would definitely recommend.

Had a very good night out with friends and we decided to go to the wine bar for a cocktail or two. We got to the bar and are immediately told by staff they had had a large party in and were stressed. We were next told in no uncertain terms that we could only drink what was on the menu if they could make it. What sort of bar is this? Surly staff limited menu that had nothing classic on it. No wonder the craft yard and other bars are busy while this one is empty. You have one chance to Impress in retail. The Temple Wine Bar have yet to learn this.

Went for dinner with my mum as part of her Christmas present. We both absolutely loved it. Food was fantastic and service was great. Sadly didn't manage to get the gentlemans name but he managed to help my mum pick out a cocktail that she actually enjoyed! Thank you! Highly recommended and will be going back!

My wife and I whet to this wine bar on Saturday night for a treat night out. We choose this restaurant based on the good reviews on trip advisor. The staff were friendly and brillant they looked after us really well. The food was superb. The atmoshere was great. My wife and I had a fantastic night out. It was great to get away from the chain restaurants where I have found the quality of the food is so hit and miss. I will return to this restaurant and would highly recommend eating here.A real treat in Aylesbury Old Town.

My wife and I have only recently started visiting the Temple Street Wine Bar over the last couple of months. Three visits so far and all have been extremely enjoyable. There are now so many chain/theme restaurants taking over the world that it's lovely to find an independently run place that really cares. All the staff attending to us over all our visits have been super and the food is absolutely delicious. The ambience is just right, it's not too loud or raucous so that you can't hold a conversation, yet has enough hub-bub so that it feels just right. This is our new favourite place in Aylesbury.

Thoroughly enjoyed our date night at the temple street wine bar. Relaxed atmosphere, lovely service, great quality food perfectly cooked, great wine and drinks, good value for money 2 courses for £14.95. Will definitely be back as there are few places in Aylesbury like this. Highly recommended.

To be honest there aren't many good restaurants in or around Aylesbury. I do not like chains so it was a pleasant surprise to go to the Temple Street wine bar and have a pretty good meal. There were a few of us and we had two kids with us but they catered very well. The burgerI had was great, one of the best and so beefy. My wife opted for beetroot risotto and loved it.

Have been here a couple of times on a Saturday recently, used to a favourite of ours but simply been eating in a few different places recently Both time we had simply great food - starters, mains were particularly good, couldn't fault the food.

Really friendly staff and efficient service food was amazing the special linguine really well cooked! The wife loved the cocktails and her main course chicken supreme 👍🏼 will definitely return again just wish I had found it earlier 😁

We booked here very last minute, and really glad we did. Hidden away in the old part of Aylesbury, this is a real gem! It is a restaurant and wine bar with a cocktail lounge separate to the restaurant. Plenty of space between tables so dining is very relaxed. Not an extensive menu but enough choice to suit most. The food is delicious and really well presented. We can’t wait to go back, and intend to take friends. Wish we’d discovered this great place a long time ago!

Located in an old building in the centre of Aylesbury very nice atmosphere ,service was good.Variety of dishes on the menu and a good selection of d drinks.Well worth a visit.

Good restaurant, good food, great ambiance and not too expensive. The menu is a bit uninspiring, and could do with updating, and when we arrived the restaurant was doubling as a bar, with a few people standing about, which was a bit off putting, but they didn't stay long. All in all, a really good restaurant, although maybe not quite currently meeting its potential.

I would recommend for people who are making a group party. On a Friday night, at least, it is not appropriate for two people looking for the opportunity to eat good food and have a chat.

Lovely restaurant oozing charm and ambiance and serving delicious gourmet style food, you’d be mad not to visit this place! We visited this restaurant on a Wednesday evening for a birthday treat with friends and had a wonderful time. I chose the chicken roulade which was absolutely delicious and my friends chose the smoked haddock and also temple street burgers. I would like to give a special mention to our waiter who was very friendly and attentive despite being very busy and made our meal even more special. Thank you chef and waiter, we will definitely be back!

Lunch for three from a la carte menu. Blue cheese salad to start - excellent. Smoked haddock to follow - excellent. Guinness on tap. Good selection of well priced wines. Not busy. Laurie, the bar guy was fantastic. There is nothing not to like. Highly recommended.

Booked at last minute for lunch - on recommendation. I was not disappointed. A nice old building - with a large high ceiling interior that is more trendy Soho than Aylesbury. Friendly welcoming staff - I liked everything on the menu but we settled for the Mushroom Risotto and the Burger. Service was quick - the food well presented and was really tasty. The portions were small so would recommend starters - we were there for a quick lunch but I was impressed. It had a great ambiance- they were all out of Eton Mess so we settled for coffees rather than dessert. I will definitely return.

Overly priced for what you get. not really satisfied with menu. Friendly staff and the place looks nice enough, however you do not get value for money.

First visit to this restaurant under it's current ownership (used to visit quite often several years ago). It was Monday night so, as expected, relatively quiet but that did not detract from the experience. All four of us had different meals and everybody was pleased with what they had. We had some nice wines as well. My only comment would be that the mains menu choice was not large, but having said that we all found something to enjoy. Would visit again.

My wife and I visit the Temple Street Wine Bar, we are always pleased with the standard of the food, and the friendly and professional staff. The menus are original with a good choice of courses. The atmosphere is very cosy and friendly.

Disappointing experience. Ordered steak with peppercorn sauce but received the Stilton sauce and by the time I realised I had poured it in on my steak. Didn’t say anything because my partner would have had to wait whilst they cooked another steak! So just put up with it. Also No steak knife! Also noticed another table being shown a blackboard with the specials on - we weren’t told about any specials. Very average. Will not be recommending or returning.

Four of us went for a 3 course lunch last Saturday as part of a Travelzoo deal. The restaurant is tucked away in old Aylesbury and near to the museum and church. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. All courses were delicious. The service was excellent throughout and there was plenty of space around our table. Excellent value. We shall definitely visit again! Thank you

Service was not very professional. Menu and red wine choice was limited. Service quality and menu choice has deteriorated since our last visit.

Food looked good, but that's about it. The steak wasn't cooked, risotto wasn't a risotto, just rice sticking together, fish didnt taste good. Very good service though.

We all had the fish and chips Friday special, and were not disappointed. The fish was huge and batter light and crispy! Perfect for a friday night. The staff were friendly and efficient, and we all had a fabulous time. The happy hour cocktails were also brilliant!
