Friendly staff and food was delicious, I had smoked salmon omelette and my friend had a breakfast, it was reasonably priced and the waitress couldn’t do enough for us especially with having a friend that likes to swop his breakfast items around, thank you we will definitely be back.

Called in late Sunday morning. Breakfasts seemed popular, but we settled on a quick snack. The cafe is quite small, but has seating outside too. We felt cold inside, but the food and drinks were hot.

Stopped for a quick snack. Usual choices of Sandwiches and Panini;s .Building with single glazed windows which get fogged up quickly, so gives the impression its damp, quite chilly last time we visited. It does smell a bit like a transport cafe (Burnt Fat) Will be lovely in the summer time as you can sit outside . Pleasant staff, Ok as a stop off .

Just occasionally, i fancy breakfast out and this cafe delivers everything we love about eating out. The staff are fantastic - Their full english breakfast is awesome - home cooked and just the right portion size for me. Every component is cooked perfectly. Their pots of tea - really flavoursome and plentiful.Again, the staff really make the place a lovely place to go.

Shared a breakie and a victoria sponge with her who must be obeyed! Got the short straw on table again by kitchen door..must go when its not so busy. all in all another enjoyable munch with good service. Maybe imagining but looks like its been a tadge decluttered of the memorabilia stuff. Gives you the feeling of having a nice meal in a farmhouse kitchen with the cheery farmers wife serving. Definitely a cafe we will return to..the pot of tea was lovely..Several notches up from a greasy spoon establishment.

Looking for a place for a late breakfast so gave it a go. Nicely cooked and price included huge pot of tea for 1 which makes it good value for money. Coffee and cake deal good value .on my list of cafes to return. Only criticism which is not cafes fault was a bit noisy by kitchen doors. Good service. Loses one star only for lack of ambience ..the old memorabilia around the place doesnt quite work. Appreciate owners doing best they can with shape and size of building. Got to return to try the victoria sponge cake that was looking at me from the dresser

We stopped here for the full English breakfast after a wedding reception at nearby Thornton Manor. This is not that easy to find, as it is tucked away at the back of a big car park, but Google maps helped. Inside it is decorated in a quirky 50’s style, with a very homely feel. The staff were very friendly and prompt. We ordered a mixture of full English breakfast and coffee. This was delivered piping hot extremely quickly. I cannot fault the food, which was also excellent value for money. A real find and somewhere we would definitely return to, if we were in the area.

Great friendly service. Only the bacon let them down, a bit like leather! Hopefully a one off!! We forgave them because everything else was spot on.

I had to drop my wife off at her friends as they were going away for a girls w/e. On my way back I called in here to have breakfast-I am glad I did, It was like astep back in time real tea leaves and real old fashion service with an ecletic mix of furniture and nicnaks on display. They also had complimentary papers.

If you are looking for excellent service, delicious individually cooked food, and a great athmosphere then TeaCakes Cafe is the place to dine. Their all-day full English breakfast is the icing on the cake - Oh, they do them as well; fresh baked, large portions, and interesting variety.

Chintzy with music to match.Like stepping back into the 1940s for decor.Nice and friendly but the place was very cold when I was in for an early breakfast although the food was hot.Coffee and toast were just fine but the eggs had anaemically pale yolks and I suspect were cheap to buy wholesale.I had better food when Foxes was there before.

What a lovely café, and what a surprise after the Foxes moved. The food is really tasty, and cooked freshly, the prices are extremely reasonable, the staff are friendly and very helpful. The café is well placed for a number of walks on Wirral, so is ideal. We will certainly be going again, and have been recommending it to all our friends. Good honest tasty food.

I have visited this cafe a number of times since it opened a few months ago. It is a lovely cafe with really friendly staff. The food is superb and very reasonably priced. The 1940's theme really makes it stand apart from other eating places in the area. I would highly recommend this you won't be disappointed. The cafe is open Thursday to Sunday each week.

Very disappointed with our experience here as previously had very lively and entertaining evenings. Staff not trained and atmosphere behind the bar so tense. No music which was disappointing. Will not be returning.

This is not an hotel and we are local regulars at this traditional pub. We particularly like the quiz night on a Wednesday and the delicious pies served.
