Taza in South Ayrshire

I would like to thank the Taza main street Ayr from all at Newton tenants association for there donation off pizza to our kids party . They where 5 stars and the kids loved them said they where yummy and delicious Photo s say it all.

Half the kebab is missing, stone cold, chicken tikka was rock hard, no salad, and no onion Pepper or mushroom. Which is why i ordered that kebab.

Can’t comment on atmosphere as it was a delivery. We ordered burger with chips n cheese, kebab pizza and garlic chilli chicken with rice. Most of the order went in the bin, the burger was drowned in a way too sweet burger sauce not pleasant at all, the pizza had a strange watered down tomato base, the chicken in the curry was so tough that I couldn’t eat it only decent things were the rice and the chips but definitely will not be ordering agai.

AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!!!! I never leave reviews but this is worthy of one. Where to start... The curry was stone and so were chips and naan bread. They said it was because of the delivery driver but it definitely wasn't. I ordered a a cheesy garlic naan for an extra £2.50. While there was cheese on it, it was just thrown on and not melted in at all. Just to top it off, the popadoms were crushed beyond recognition. I was offered a new order but after checking other reviews I soon realized I wasn't the only one. I rang back and said if like a full refund to which they agreed but they wanted to pick the food up. I explained that it was served on to plates and that I'll chuck it back into a box so they can but they said don't worry about it. I had to contact ayr eats for a refund and they said I was only getting 50% refund even though they said I'll get a full refund. Just avoid this place worst order I've ever had. I threw it all in the bin. Edit* Of course I started eating it... How else would I know it was cold. You told me you wanted to show it to your chefs to show them what they have served. If you driver came back to pick it up and taken it back to your restaurant then it would have been cold anyway so your point invalid. The cheese just fell off the naan so it didn't go in any oven. I said to you to come and get it if chuck it back in the box but you said not to worry. As for calling me a liar, I can see that I am not alone, are they lying too? Your food is below par, I won't be ordering again from you. If you're a small business then all the more reason to at least send your food out hot. You are the first one star review I've given and with very good reason

Ordered a kabab, Dry, nan failing apart. Everything Stone cold. Chips unseasoned. 29£ for a kabab and chips and cheese. With delivery. Gave to dogs

Not happy with service. Phoned 5.30pm to ask for delivery at 7pm. Called at 7.20pm as no delivery. Told they were waiting for the driver to come back. Finally delivered 7.40pm with wrong food. Asked for 2 x chicken tikka butter masala, got chicken tikka masala instead. Pakora very dry. Not a good experience.

I ordered a chicken tikka biryani and lamb karahi which came to £18. I was quite disappointed with the meal. The biryani was soggy and I have never had soggy biryani in my life. I am not sure where they went wrong. Regarding the Lamb Karahi, it was not a karahi. Instead it was just another curry whereas karahi is usually dry and does not have much gravy. I felt bumped as I was eating the karahi. Furthermore the curry was extremely oily, I understand this is made on a commercial scale but the staff should really lower the amount of oil they use. At this amount of oil, your life expectancy will be halved. If the staff does not consider making these changes, I would probably avoid this place which is unfortunate as they have a lot of potential.

Wow, just has the nicest Indian meal I've had for a long time. Quality and freshness oozing out of it. Chicken tikka jalfrezi, perfect balance of flavours, rice so fragrant and spiced onions and pakors were fabulous. Literally cannot wait to work my way through the menu.... Fabulous

Order every 2 weeks from Taza, always pleased but tonight food arrived, same order as always, £5.00 dearer than before. Called them to be told price increase. Poppadoms smashed to smithereens on opening. Not happy with this poor experience.

Waited 2hours for food came and it was freezing every time I phoned I was told will be ten minutes and then phoned bk and got the driver should be outside your house it was terrible would never order from here again

2 hour wait to be told x3 that it was 15 mins then it was on its way then it should he their, absolutely frozen the food is. Phoned back and told them i wanted my money back this was beyond a joke sat waiting on delivery man coming back absolutely raging. Why not say on phone it was busy etc!!

Always good food and great service. Never been let down by these guys. New look at the front of the shop freshly painted, so don't miss it when walking past and drop in for some good food

After having their meal I am certain most of positive reviews here are their own marketeers and hold NO credibility...and the prices did NO justice to the food they offer. save yourselves from this abomination and look for some other options.

I am not one for writing reviews but got to give credit where credit is due, pizza from here was just ok until my last few visits, they have someone different making the pizzas and I must say he makes it to perfection, there’s not too much tomato purée on the base(the way I like it) the chicken and mushroom pizza is excellent, would give 10 out of 10 if I could AMAZING FOOD

Wow - i have only just read the reviews about the Madras but it is so true I had a madras the spice level of a vindaloo. They honestly have no idea about curries. My partner had a jalfrezi that tasted like a butter chicken - no flavour at all. Only chips they had were curly fries, I am ordering a takeaway not eating at a children’s party. What a joke will never order from here again

Was possibly the worst takeaway I've ever had, even the chips were awful!

Ordered chicken madras. Definitely not. More like vindaloo. Think that was to disguise meal. Got chicken tikka in with plain chicken. Chipati was like cold and texture of leather. Will definitely not be back.

It was so long ago n our usual great shop was closed we opted for taza big big mistake ordered 2 chicken madras mixed with chicken tikka which we got scraps obviously n hotter than madras to mask tikka but texture n different colour than chicken breast looking for a positive hope it wasnt rabbit never again

food was perfect good as any restaurant and I've eaten in alot over the years recommend it for a take away

Fast delivery, donner meat is banging, cheese could do some improvement

Love this place for a meal but tonight on a Wednesday cancelled after waiting an hour and forty five minutes, no call to say it would be late.

Just had one of the best Indian meals ever. Excellent.

I don’t know what the food is like because I didn’t receive it. I phoned 3 times and was told it was on its way. 18.00 hours. After 1 hour I phoned to ask what had happened to my food. The girl said that the delivery guy called out to me in the pub and got no answer. seeing as I was stood in the doorway waiting, she was lying. We are tourists in Ayr and that incident really ticked us off. If they didn’t have a driver then tell people.

This place gave me very very bad diarrhoea but the food tasted and looked good not to sure what went wrong

Friendly staff, Great portions, Traditional Food, Lamb tender in rich Boonha sauce. Starters fresh and tasty.Spicy garlic mushrooms in cheese was a meal on it's own. Will be back definitely. Free poppadoms a nice gesture. Thanks again

Always been happy with the orders and delivery times,l advise anyone who likes indians to try the buna and the sweet nan bread that has a lovely red sweet coconut inside and if anyone says it was not good they obviously don't like indian food.

ordered the breast of seagull twit twaoo very salty and the beak was not crispy enough but value for money as it fet 4 of us

Foods always good but when i got my pizza it had been tiped upside down so the cheese had stuck to the top of the box

If i could give 0 i would. Asked for a pizza with chicken on it and obviously they had a flavoured chicken to use up as thats what ended up on our pizza - and into the bargain it was horrible. Also ordered a chicken and a mushroom pakora- and the mushroom magically turned into onion rings! On top of that the man serving had no idea how to use till so still unsure if we were charged correct price! Def wont be back

We ordered a home delivery tonight calzone and lamb curry the pizza dough on calzone was raw inside and disgusting the lamb in curry wa brick hard not tender and ended up just eating the pakora which was the only edible item total waste of money

Used to order at least every other week but not used for a while. Got food delivered yesterday and was told 45 mins. Phoned after an hour and was told it was on its way. Arrived 30 min later. 90 min overall instead of 45 min. Food tasted ok but wasn't hot enough. Won't be using again.

Very bad delivery time and zero communication from Taxa. Blaitantly lied several times when I phoned for an update. Also the driver tried to make a joke and dismiss the fact the I waited 2 hours for the delivery. I will never order from here again.

Best food in Ayr no one comes close

ordered before and they forgot my pakora sauce, mentioned it it this time and they gave me like 6 tubs of sauces haha good food too

preordered at 2:30pm for restaurant opening at 4pm. advised delivery time would be 4:50pm. restaurant called at 4:30pm to say that delivery would be an extra 30 minutes. still hadn’t delivered by 6:30pm. very poor service and not the first time this restaurant has delivered late

First time I tried this restaurant I loved it.. after my recent order I will never be back, chips looked burnt and soggy and the chicken pakora was dry and just looked like it had been sitting for a while it was horrible!! I never received my full order, one item was missing that I had paid for and I had left a note for a sauce to be changed that I didn’t really like but of course they never fulfilled my request to that either.

First time I’ve been disappointed in the quality. The onion rings were burnt. Very burnt. Even just the look of them was poor.

Ordered at 8pm it's now 10 to 12 and still no delivery. Called at half 10 and got told it would be an hour at the most

waited a hour and 20 minutes for my food for it to arrive stone cold and my cans warm and looks uneatable second time ordering from here this has happened now. Used to order from here all the time won't be ordering again!

Ordered takeaway for the family 19:06 when arrived my sons pizza was wrong, 21:11 and still waiting replacement, shocking!!

Absolutely beautiful. I'm 10 miles away and the food was still hot. Normally I get my indian from dalrymple but wont be after using Taza! Pakora tasted moist and soft nothing worse than brick hard pakora!

Food arrived 15 mins after ordering. Just right temp. Chicken nice and thin instead of chunky, just the way I like it. 11/10.

Normally order from here and has always usually been really good however ordered baked potatoes and they were inedible absolutely rock hard and hardly any topping either disappointed 😥

Food was good, on time, only complaint I have is we ordered 2 mixed hoggies and one came without the donner meat.

Firstly delivery person clearly doesn't read notes on order asked not to press buzzer as kids in bed now have a unsettled child, chips were backheat and burger was clearly a frozen burger absolutely disgusting will not be back!

The food was alright but standards have definitely plummeted since I last had food from here. The Naan was perfect, the Donner Meat was...edible but the chip may as well have been part rubber because that's what they tasted like. Restaraunt text me to let me know the food was on its way, it took the driver 20 minutes to get from Main St to Belmont Academy. It doesn't take 20 minutes to do that trip and by the time the food arrived it was warm-ish. All in all; if you can go anywhere else, go somewhere else. If you can't go somewhere else, make toast.

Great pizzas and reliable delivery

Took about 75 mins from ordering to arriving but that seems to be the norm with all takeaways in Prestwick/Ayr. Food was hot & great, will order again!

Apart from getting too much in food which no one can complain about it was well tasty and super fast delivery.

Was great food, however, I didn't receive my pepsi, wasn't too fussed though.

Not good donner meat tasted like it had been cooked for weeks

Food was okay, although i ordered chicken pakora and chips and got spicy chicken and chips. This is the second time this has happened. My girlfriend also ordered a tika wrap and got a spicy chicken wrap. Need to sort out the confusion. Otherwise fine.

Food was cold got a text at 8.38pm saying food onroute never arrived till 21.25 it is only a 5 min drive to my house my chips and korma sauce was all dried it came out of countainer like a brick couldnt eat it sorry wont we eating from them again 😠😠

Second time using these guys. Impressed.

Phoned by restaurant to say they don't actually deliver to my address (they implied Just Eat groups my postcode into a wrong location) and it would be an extra £3 delivery charge. Apparently by ordering for delivery where I live I am adversely impact on their other delivery times. But no worries, simply won't order from them again.
