Taza Indian Buffet in Dundee City

Whoever cooked my curry today, thank you it was the best one yet.

I order a lot from here, and I always order the same dish. I don’t like a spicy curry and sometimes the curry is too spicy. I think it depends on the chef as it’s never consistent. Pasanda and Korma is meant to be creamy with just a little kick, my granddaughter can eat it if it’s done correctly. When it’s spicy even I struggle with it. I order weekly and when they get it right it’s amazing.

One of THE Best curries I've had in a long time !! ( and I've had many over the years from various places and I've made my own for over 40years!!) The Desi Byryani lamb ,on the bone ...was excellent..flavour, texture of rice ..beautifully done!! Thankyou! Highly reccomend 🥰

The curry and the rice were ok. The naan was nothing like a naan. Clear garlic paste on what looked more like a chapati than a naan bread. Flat and greasy. Never again!!

Bang average, filled with oil and soggy chicken pieces. No flavour and generic tasteless rice. Watery Ritta and rock hard chicken pakora. If you like this kinda thing I'd highly recommend.

We got the Thali Meal so could try a few new thing. Everything was lovely just wish we knew what they were do could order in future.

Food was delicious and warm, bang on time and the delivery guy was very polite. Excellent!

Sadly disappointed, we ordered 2 curry's, rice, naan and chicken pakora. The food was beautifully cooked, chicken was lovely and the portions were generous but 2 things really let the meal down, the sauces in both currys were very thin, werent thick and rich creamy like a korma and chasmi should be and sauce is what its all about, it ties the whole meal together. The huge portion of pakoras were all soggy because sent in a paper bag but they freshened up in the oven perfectly. If they sauces were fixed would be the best ive had in a while but feels like the main event was wasted.

Couldn’t tell the difference visually between 2 of the dishes as never ordered before so a wee note on each box would have been helpful, otherwise top marks

came here as a follow up to an unfortunate experience at another restaurant wish we had picked it to begin with, the staff were nothing but kind and friendly, and were helpful in every way they could be. the food was absolutely gorgeous, we were in awe how good it was drinks were lovely, my friend got a woo woo and i got a milkshake, the woo woo was massive so great value for money, milkshake was lovely also

Good morning I ordered a taza last night which came so cold and so greesey all the sauce was over the bag we had to bin the chips. I have an autistic son who was very hungry and only eats chips so was very upset at this. I will not ordering from there again as I usually do and a few times now things have went wrong. Unhappy customer

Nice authentic indian food, great ambiance, and lovely staff. The restaurant was clean, spacious  and the buffet was kept nice and hot. One of the staff members guided us well as per our dietary requirements. The food was hot and delicious. Helpful staff and  cooked fresh vegan naan specially for us. There were lots of cakes to try in deserts, too. Would suggest providing more options for vegans and vegeterians. 

Food was pretty meh, the curry wasn't that bad but the garlic naan was just garlic puree that looked like mush over what seemed and tasted like a store bought naan bread.

I had the veggie tikka masala and it was so tasty! The chips and poppadoms were great too.

Taza and king khan by far the best food by a country mile so fresh and lots of flavour

Briyani was not so briyani, no flavor and veggies were barely cooked... I even told them to not add spices as my kid was supposed to eat. It came completely opposite.

We often go to Taza and every time enjoy it a lot, atmosphere is great, food delicious, service friendly and fast, well priced; however today I decided to order takeaway from them and I am not sure if its a different chef who is in charge of takeaways at Taza but this was the worst Indian meal I have ever had in my life, such a shame because tonight was special - we were sending off our Dad to Berlin for Berlin marathon. The food was soo bad that 70% of it went into the bin. Lamb curry was hard pieces of what tasted like mutton, not lamb, all in sloppy tomato soup type liquid, egg fried rice had a very odd smell to it, we all agreed not to eat it and it went straight into the bin, pashwari naan was soggy and naan had a smell of uncooked. It was such a disappointment . Owner please speak to your staff.

Great buffet with a large amount of choice at each course. Everything was hot and fresh. Also worth mentioning they always seem to have a big desert choice. When we visited there were crepes, ice cream and loads of different cakes. Overall, really good.

Lovely Indian meal with a wide range of dishes to choose from. Staff were attentive and there was a relaxing ambience. Well deserved tip!

. . . the staff were friendly, professional and patient because, whilst our adult son was familiar with this buffet, we middle-aged parents from down south weren't! The staff noticed that we looked lost and guided us through the options. We all enjoyed a delicious meal with drinks and wine; couldn't believe the reasonable bill at the end of the evening. It was an experience I would repeat.

The food was lovely as always, we actually wanted it delivered ,it had come up collection so I phoned up and we got it delivered without any problem ,the delivery man was nice &chatty, the meal was piping hot, the only thing about the meal that lets it down is the naan bread it's quite stodgy and thick so we're thinking it's not made on the premises

We are semi-regular customers (about4/5 visits annually), I would recommend this location for anyone looking for an Indian style buffet experience. Friendly staff and good food. With a some European dishes also.

This is a really nice place to eat. The staff are very polite and friendly. The food is also fresh and very tasty. In the evenings they offer some freshly cooked kebabs . The spiced onions are phenomenal. The curry’s are authentic and there is also some home style food available. What a lovely experience altogether.

Only problem was last delivery they didn’t give us a certain curry, phoned them and they said they would give us a free curry next delivery, my assumption was that they would deduct a curry from the bill but no they sent the curry that they missed the last time, which no one in the house tonight eats so it just went in the bin, not really what I expected and a total waste of food.

Honestly the best Indian I've had

Been here before The food is just excellent the fish pakora prawn pakora along with the usual chicken and veg ones all very tasty. I love the main mince dish along with the tikka masala just so tasty. There is chicken nuggets for the kids and all the sauces and condiments like mint sauce and spicy onions. The staff always smile 😊 this makes for a happy work place and a happy work place makes for very tasty food. We shall return thank you taza

This is a perfect restaurant. The food is consistently excellent, the staff are always friendly, the atmosphere is inviting.

Chips were not good and food was cold

The food arrived approximately 1.5hrs after it was ordered. The food arrived a soggy wet tasteless mess and at £31 for a single meal I expected to be able to eat it. The entire meal went in the bin and I’ll never order from there again.

One of the meals was wrong was given lamb wrap instead of chicken wrap which we couldn’t eat everything else was good.

Only in Dundee for one night and Taza was in a great location on the Quayside. Food was amazing...on the starters side, the Fish Pakora was delicious and my 11 year old Son trying some different Indian dishes for the first time loved the Chicken Pakora. For mains I had a central portion of fluffy Pilau Rice surrounded by a mix of Lamb Tikka Masala, Lamb Mince with peas, Butter Chicken Masala and Chicken Bhuna with a soft plain Naan which all had great flavours. To finish off, desserts were aplenty but settled for some Strawberry ice cream and have to echo the words of my Son that that was the best Strawberry ice cream ever tasted. Service was also great and staff were really nice and friendly Would definitely recommend a visit to Taza and will be back if I'm up Dundee way again

Lamb tikka was a bit watery than usual,still tasted lovely though,the size of the chips soaked all the sauce up,couldn't believe how large they were,very tasty,would highly recommend this place,thank you for another nice meal.

Its the first time to try ras malai desert , that was a part of heaven we you dive on it with every bite its just amazing I wish if ordered much much more but next time , for sure I will order it again. The biryani as well was amazing and the Desi dish was soo yummy

Delivery was on time...ordered tikka masala set meal...tikka was bland..tasted like plain chicken and rice. Worst I've ever tasted..pakoras were all soggy sitting in a wet back, would never ever order from here again, absolutely zero taste to the meal.

For £11.99 for lunch, you can’t go wrong. Staff were very welcoming. The food was great and for a lunchtime buffet, the choice was great. The pakora batter was very light and tasted great. In particular, you have to try the Lamb Mince Homestyle curry....

Desi keema biryani meal was very poor. Basically, it was just a bowl of rice with a little bit of mince mixed through it and nothing else. There was no sauce - if you discount a tiny plastic pot of raita that was more suited to a starter than a main course. Very poor value and unpleasant to eat.
