Tayors is an absolute institution in Oxford and the team at this particular Taylors are fantastic. Always smiling, always chatting and consistently delivering excellent service. I've been coming to this Taylors for 3 years at least once a week and will continue to do so for a long time yet. Particularly want to call out, Emma, Phoebe, Willow, you guys are the best!

I get a sandwich here nearly every day. The staff are always friendly and the food is fresh. The prices are very reasonable too. I go early and eat my sandwich later to avoid queues (as obviously it’s really busy/popular at lunchtimes)!

This is the best sandwhich shop in Oxford- staff are all fantastic and the food is great quality. Definitely recommend

I’ve been working in the area for a while now the local FedEx Guy almost 5 years and I’ve had the pleasure of visiting Botley Taylor's Deli regularly. Over time, I’ve seen many faces come and go, but one thing has remained constant—the incredible quality of the food and the consistently positive, friendly staff. The sandwiches are always fresh and bursting with flavor, and the baguettes are perfectly crispy on the outside with a soft, warm interior. Whether I’m grabbing a quick bite for lunch or something to take away, I can always count on a satisfying meal. Their coffee is rich and smooth, and the smoothies are the perfect refreshing treat to brighten up the day. But what really makes this place stand out is the staff. They’ve always been welcoming, talkative, and genuinely helpful, making each visit feel like a personal experience. It’s clear that they enjoy what they do and care about making sure every customer leaves happy. Over the time I’ve been coming here I’ve seen some faces come and go like Elizabeth and Alfred...but the positive energy and excellent service have never changed. Botley Taylor's Deli is definitely a gem in the area! 5 years ago my first visit to Taylors. Julie ( Who has earned her retirement ) was like the mum of the deli — warm, caring, and always ready to lend a hand. She knew exactly how to make customers feel special, taking the time to recommend the best options and make sure everyone leaves with a smile. Julie’s kindness and attention to detail made the deli feel like a welcoming, homely place, back then she was the heart of the team !. Seeing Emma when I visit the deli—her positivity and friendly attitude really make the experience stand out. She’s always welcoming, with a smile on her face, and goes out of her way to make sure everything is just right. Whether it's offering great recommendations or just striking up a friendly chat, Emma's warm and helpful nature creates such a pleasant atmosphere. It's clear she truly cares about her customers, and it makes all the difference! Phoebe is an absolute gem with her whit at the deli! Her smile is as fresh as the sandwiches she makes, and she always knows how to recommend the perfect combination of ingredients. Quick, friendly, and full of energy, Phoebe makes every visit feel like a little bit of sunshine. Whether she’s slicing meats or cracking a joke, she brings a whole lot of personality to the counter. Nicole is the legend of the deli ! While makes the time sweet crafting the perfect sandwich or making a mocha, it's always worth her purchase. With a cheeky smile and a knack for making every order feel like a masterpiece. Nicole's calm vibe brings a bit of extra flavour to the day Taylor's wins the race. I asked for coconut milk with my coffee and I saw the Barista mixing dairy milk. I cannot tolerate lactose. This is just not fair to a customer’s health. I thought things like these are taken seriously in the UK :)

I love eating food from Taylors. It is fresh and tasty. The staff are always friendly and helpful, especially Emma, who is always a happy, chatty lady.

Always good if you want a freshly made sandwich, especially a hot breakfast, the Taylors in Botley has always delivered the goods. You can customise your sandwich so you aren't disappointed by a wet day old store bought sandwich.

All our locals love going to Taylor’s when they are in Botley. We always get a friendly welcome from the staff. It’s especially handy when catching the bus back to Wantage to pop in. Always lovely coffee and fresh baguettes. We particularly like the sausage rolls and Natas. Can highly recommend.

Service was quite rude and I paid a hefty price for next to no filling. Won’t be coming back.

Just been charged £5.10 for brie and cucumber. Seems a lot.

Often on mornings I try to get a hot drink at Taylor’s, but whenever I wait to get served the staff, bless them, is taking ages to serve the customer ahead. It leads me to have to leave without buying anything to get my bus on time. Their speed of service is really unfortunate, and when there’s more than one customer no other staff comes out to the front to take orders. They really need to do better.

A nice selection of food and drink, including their Sandwiches and the rocky roads are to die for!

its such a shame that taylors in Botley, Oxford is now so short staffed. one young man meant to serve all the coffees and make sandwiches at the same time! I had to leave, didn't have 30mins or so to wait. This was such a great sandwich shop - please staff up or you will lose all your custom.

I attended Botley Taylor’s, I am dealing with chemo and my cancer, I really fancied a panini, but they couldn’t make me one up, they could make me a baguette but not a panini that I could eat, I am not allowed Brie, so bacon were out of my choice, they mixed Tuna with mustard Mayo, mustard not everyone’s choice, always used and feel sad in exceptional circumstances, they could not make me one very poor service no empathy really disappointed, at these times you did not believe my custom will not use again, they could see I was going through cancer treatment, maybe not of training required staff in helpful

Lovely shop for a coffee and a great range of baguettes. Staff are great.

Great breakfast deal (£4.99 for a hot drink and bacon/sausage bap). Very obliging staff as they happily remade my americano after confusion over what I'd ordered. Sausage baguette and sausage roll were top drawer. 10/10 would recommend.

Not as good as the Taylors in Jericho, but still a great place for a filling lunch.

Very disappointed, ordered a panini for lunch to warm me up. Paid £4.75 for it to be cooked for about 1 minute and it wasn’t even busy. I went to eat the panini and it was still cold in the middle but it was too late to go back.

Had not been here for several years but stopped for a bite while in the area. Egg mayo baguette was delicious along with millionaire shortbread. Has made me wonder why I don't go to Taylor's in and around Oxford more often!

Spend far too much money in here but it's totally worth it.

I have been reluctant to negatively review this business as the branch on St Giles it pretty good, however the Botley shop is appalling! The majority of the staff seem to be untrained! The price you pay for a sandwich should at least come with a smile, not a negative grumpy attitude! I have been a few times and tbh it’s the same every time! Be prepared to wait on the snail like service! POOR!!

Fresh baguettes. Fresh fillings. Lots of choice and delicious. Bit pricey but worth it.

Definitely the worst Taylors. Never have any sandwiches on Display, when asked last week why at 2pm on a Saturday they don’t have any stock, reply was “because it’s Sunday tomorrow”. Incredible. Popped in today, granted later on in the day (15:45), they had completely run out of everything sandwich wise, when we asked why, their reply was, “it must be our location”. Poorly managed shop. The one in town at the end of Little Clarendon Street is on a whole different level to this Taylors. Avoid like the plague. Head office get some decent management in this store. There is no excuse not to have so little of the menu on display, simple stock management and shelf-life understanding is all that is required. Sort it out. You are literally turning away customers to what I presume is a risk of wastage. Prep sheets based on sales?

Worst breakfast bap ever. Burnt sausages and burnt bacon all in a tiny roll for 5.60

They’ve moved things around inside the shop due to Covid so there’s more space for customers to safely queue. Great sandwiches and more - the hot soups and fresh pastries etc are great too. Lovely fresh Illy coffee and a selection of chilled drinks too. In the run up to Christmas they’re a good place to get some stocking fillers/presents.

Normal prices. Very good quality . Not every employee is quick and smart but they are all pleasant

Sandwich was OK but the guy serving me was surly. He didn't say a word. I had to ask for some paper napkins, which he gave me, wordlessly.

Taylor's are ripoff merchants. I went to buy marzipan bars and found them, priced at 1.60 euros, though the print was tiny and I mis-read it as pounds . At the point of sale they insisted the price was £2.80. I knew this was extortion but I was desperate to find some. I've just found them in Waitrose for £1.50. I took a pic but couldn't upload it on my phone.

Very limited seating, all non smoking, outside. Very busy at lunchtime, but food is freshly prepared, so there is a wait. No seviettes, no cutlery & no crockery, it's all eat from the bag take out. Smoothies are 10 out of 10, fresh & very tasty, I do recommend. Be aware, parking is a nightmare!

The chicken curry baguette is amazing so full of flavour and lovely fresh bread. Will go back.

Best sandwiches (especially superior as they are hand made with fresh ingredients) and coffee in Oxford. Lots of nice treats and the most friendly and expert staff around. They have fab, fab customer service!

Very expensive for what it is. I ordered an ice coffee and revived a bitter mess yet still paid £3 for it. They do have some good multi buy deals and if you have have money to burn it is great. The pastries are amazing but again pricey.

Such good coffee. Pleasant, courteous staff (and clearly very busy). I’ve had their pre-made sandwiches too which were all freshly made that morning and really nice taste combinations. A real gem in poor, old Botley.

Taylors make the most amazing range of sandwiches in a host of different bread variations. They also do hot savoury snacks and a variety of cakes. I must mention their Latte, which is the best I've had anywhere. Service is friendly and efficient, what more could anyone desire?

Probably the best sandwich place around Botley. They also serve great salads (you choose the mix yourself).

A nice sandwich bar with a great range of options including pastries and sweet treats. The staff are friendly and it's very busy at lunches. It's a bit confusing as to which queue you're meant to join (some sandwiches are pre made) so you sometimes get glances if people think you're pushing in. The bread could be crustier but the awesome fillings make up for it. A good lunch option.

Really nice place if you are looking for a good sandwich, I love their egg and bacon sandwich. They also sell Portuguese custard tarts in case you are looking for an alternative sweet option.
