Lovely food and excellent service. The food was freshly cooked and tasted great. Would recommend a visit if in the area. We did not have long to wait for a lovely evening meal. Tasted good and not greasy.

Distinctly average. The service was very good and judging by the queue it's obviously very popular locally. But the food was a bit lacking. By the time I got back to our holiday, let the chips had been compressed such that they stuck together in to a lump or stuck to the paper. The cod was very small. I realise why a lot of take aways now use cardboard cartons rather than the traditional paper.

Huge portions of perfect chips, great mushy peas,not like the dark green seaweed served as an excuse in many GY area chippies, and proper fresh fish, in a good batter. Only problem is this summer it has got too busy! And the staff are efficient but could be a little friendlier!

When we visited this week whilst on holiday we found the chips not cooked thoroughly and the haddock was so small it amounted to four mouthfuls. Not good value for money and the quality very poor. I did overhear that they were short staffed but had to leave our review.

I went to martham fish and chip shop yesterday,2nd of febuary,2022.I had cod and chips,it was really enjoyable,the cod was fresh,and the chips were perfect.Iwill definetely be going back.I really dont understand the previous reviews.

Thought we would give the negative reviews the benefit of the doubt but they were correct. Very disappointed Had 2 cod and chips. Chips ok but the fish was so thin and just all batter. Wouldn't ever return

Have been staying in Martham for a week and have been looking forward to fish and chips from this iconic venue. Eagerly unwrapped our cod and chips and a cod ...then oh dear! Probably the worst ever. Batter thick and hard and inedible ..chips also hard and only edible when softened with vinegar. Fish fresh but ruined. Service also poor with staff bickering at each other. Avoid.

Visited the shop while on holiday, on the basis of reviews. It will be for the first (and only) time. Absolutely awful fish and chips. The worst we've ever had! The batter was soggy, the fish ' wet' and the chips greasy and undercooked. And all for £18.40 (f&c twice). The only thing to commend them is that the fish meat was fresh. Threw it in the bin! Trades description violation to call them 'quality'.

Massive helpings. Good quality in a quaint thatched fish and chip shop. How they get the insurance I know not.

Amazingly good fish and chips. Good as it gets. And yes small chips is very generous. Chips were perfection - slight crisp to the outside. Haddock delicious

Really good fresh fish, decent sized fillet with nice crispy batter and well cooked. The "small" portion of chips is very generous and also well cooked Highly recommended

I found this via trip advisor as we were heading home from the coast and hungry. The reviews were good so we put the address in the satnav and headed over. I’m so pleased we did because it was bloody lovely! We got a friendly smile and hello going in and our food was fresh and cooked to perfection. The kids food boxes were also spot on. The photos speak for themselves! Lovely melt in the mouth cod and we ended up fighting over chips which were also just fantastic. We will certainly be coming back and I recommend you head on over. 10/10

As a group staying at a nearby campsite that now does not offer evening meals other than Burgers and pizza, we opted for Fish and Chips. I am so impressed with the customer service and attention to detail. I contacted a chap called Bobby, he sent me a copy of the menu, which I then circulated to everyone in our group, texted bobby the order on Friday afternoon to be collected at 7.00pm - Our order (25 meals) was ready on time for collection, all labelled and bagged separately for each family, despite them being very busy with a queue out the door. The food was lovely, arrived back at camp and all still piping hot Thank you very much for the awsome service, we will be back in the area again next summer and look forward to purchasing fish n chips from you again.

Sat outside chunky freshly collective fillet the fish was excellent beautiful fresh flakes and the batter was crispy and light. I would recommend that you eat here overlooking the green or take away. Roll on next time. Nothing to much trouble for the ladies running this establishment n true Norfolk friendliness.

Staff are always nice and attentive. Chip portion sizes are huge! Never had a bad takeaway but sometimes a little soggy and greasy (but that’s me being picky) burgers are always good and a couple of times the pizzas have been overdone but overall a good local chippy!

This is the first visit here to this small but perfectly proportioned little chippy.A very good deal for small fish,chips,mushy peas,tea,bread and butter. Very pleasingly served by a very we presented young woman who carefully watched all over our needs .Although the tea was in mugs,the mugs were on saucers and the tea in a tea-pot! With milk in a real jug.The food was served well and was quite excellent in volume with very few 'eyes' in the chips and the other proportions were more than adequate ; and very well cooked in a very tasty batter.This whole business is based in a very small space,but the owner seems to have used this to the very possible advantage.A second visit is certainly called for!

Handy chippy when you don't feel like cooking. The service is very slick and on the whole friendly, don't like the way the staff chitchat to each other as it give the impression your not there as they don't interact with some customers.Now the rub, I love their chips but prefer a dryish batter on my fish, the couple of time we have been there the fish batter seemed saturated with fat. Fish quality so far has been 50/50 have had some really nice fillets and other occastions not so good.That said will use again but will be picky as the the piece of fish I have

Excellent portions absolutely lush chips . Chippy lover my self this definitely one of the best I've ever had fresh and taste perfect like a old fashion chippy should and brilliant price definitely will use again when I'm in the area in my lorry!! Disappointed a lot lately with most fish and chip shops, but this was a delight to stop at. thank you !! Hope I deliver to martham again soon

I took two of my grandsons here today. They can be quite particular but they loved the cod and chips, as did I !!! Highly recommended. Good service, very friendly and helpful. What more could you ask for.

We visited with the kids who declared it to be the best fish and chips ever!Its the first time I’ve ever been asked what cut of cod I’d like. The lady explained that there might be a few bones in the Centre cut or no bones in the tail cut. Indeed there were a couple of bones as expected but fish was simply stunning. Really friendly lady (Karen I think). Highly recommend

Visited Taylors's at Martham tonight after searching for a highly-rated chippy and we weren't disappointed I had a delicious wing of skate (not easy to find in North London!) and it was cooked to perfection. The Hubster had an equally lovely large cod and both were freshly cooked for us. 10 minutes of of eager antipation and we were rewarded with a delicious supper which we enjoyed sitting at a picnic table outside the shop in the evening sunglow. Staff were fab and friendly too, I couldn't be happier or more satisfied - Taylor's you exceeded our expectations. Thank you

Having visited Horsey beach, to see the grey seals, we wanted fish and chips on our way home. Researched TA but did not want to double back north on our journey and chose Taylor’s given good reviews and the fact that we could quickly get on A47 back home.

We love this chip shop. Everything is cooked to order and great food. The staff are very friendly and welcoming.

Arrived at local self catering house at around 8pm on a Friday night and called up this place asking if they'd cook a large order which they did. Lovely fish and chips - tasted great, probably cooked in dripping rather than vegetable oil as many placed do nowadays. Good portions and friendly staff, well recommended.

We usually called at Horning fish bar when we are on the broads as you can't beat fish and chips from a chippy rather than a pub or restaurant setting. So after using trip advisor we decided to try Taylors as we were only at Potter Heigham. We called one lunchtime and as neither of us wanted tail the ladies fried us some cod while we waited and we ate them next to the river and they were beautiful, the quantity of chips we got in a medium portion was too much we couldn't eat them all. We will call again.

As we ere staying just around the corner we had fish and chips take away and they were excellent and freshly cooked. The place always seemed quite busy and well used by locals.

Y dos amigos nos apetecía Mtself un descanso de cocinar y decidimos coger el pescado y patatas fritas y sentarse fuera de chippy. Fue bloomin comida excelente y el servicio era excelente, la joven que trabaja allí es una auténtica joya en un mundo donde un solo gruñido y quejarse es normalmente todo lo que te dan. Él era atento y ayer reír todos nosotros y pasamos una agradable hora también Karen gracias por la maravillosa comida.

Las chicas y yo tenía algo aquí ayer, muy agradable. Yo solía ir allí cuando estaba un poco en el camino a mi niñera y caravana en grandads Hemsby. Siempre solía conseguir pescado de roca y patatas fritas, pero ayer probé el abadejo con patatas fritas que estaba el pescado maltratado mejores que he probado. Todas las chicas tenían salchichas y patatas fritas y grandes porciones a un precio muy bueno y se puede comer fuera, al lado del gran estanque con patos y verde. Martham es un lugar pequeño y encantador. Me encantaría vivir allí algún día.

Cuatro amigos y yo tuvimos grandes Cod & chips y maltratada salchichas cada y cada uno de nosotros quedamos muy impresionados con la comida. La gran pieza de bacalao era especialmente sabroso, así que recomiendo sinceramente este chips en el Green en la pintoresca Martham.

Uno de los más limpios tiendas de pescado frito con patatas fritas que he estado, normalmente son grasientos buscando desde todos los, bien grasa, con ser comida frita profunda! Pero este es tan limpia su increíble. Y la comida todo parece hermoso, hermoso recién preparado y crujientes y gran porciones. Normalmente pop en la hora del almuerzo en la vacaciones y no han podido tener el mejor pescado y patatas fritas que he tenido en cada ocasión. Mujeres de allí son siempre tan luminoso y alegre y muy amable. Realmente no hay nada que pueda sacarle 100% recomendamos probar. No soy un amante de pescado normalmente, pero aquí es simplemente hermosa ❤

Sólo comimos un maravilloso almuerzo de nuevo en fish and chips de taylors. El pescado era excelente, así que estábamos recién preparado y las patatas fritas. Las dos señoras eran tan divertido y un excelente servicio. Me sorprendió leer acerca de la persona que había pescado y dijo que era como un fishfinger porque siempre hemos tenido una comida genial. Nada es demasiado problema y por la cantidad de clientes que son todos locales supongo que podrías decir que nadie pone un poco sospechoso en un poco dishy en Taylors!!!!!!

Very disappointed, my husband and I got haddock and chips from here this evening but my haddock literally just looked like a fish fingers and there was minimal haddock but just loads of batter, my husband had a nice chunky bit of fish that looked lovely but mine was very pitiful. Im just glad that i ordered large chips or i would have been very hungry.

This was recommended to us by another Martham user. was very pleased with the fish and chips we had, would use again.

La comida aquí es siempre de buena calidad, caliente y delicioso. La tienda está extremadamente limpio. Si te gusta papas fritas Taylor es para ti, que he conocido de personas que viajan al otro lado de Norfolk sólo para llegar a ellos. Hay que probarlo para ventiladores de chip! El personal era amable y acogedor, sólo asegúrate de llegar allí antes de las 7 pm de lunes, martes y jueves para evitar decepciones.

Went here at 7.30,I found the staff to be very pleasant and polite,I had sausage and chips and ate them on the green.they were lovely.I would definitely go there again.
