Tawa House in Luton

Food was great, really well priced! Really friendly staff and team. We had a table of 12 from 1 yrs old to 80! Everyone was very comfortable and happy. Great place. I was definitely very pleasantly surprised.

The service the food was amazing, everyone enjoyed the meal. The fact they fit 28 of us in was so good. Definitely will be back

Food wasn't nice we ad the family tawa food taste has gone down hill we won't be coming back as kids where looking forward to the tawa but we all were disappointed 😔 😢

Amazing tawa platter, we had the platter for 4, was plentiful and tasty, above my expectation to be honest, reasonable priced.

One of the worst ever restaurants in the UK. Service is 0, food is -1 and above all if you don’t have cash they will force you to got a cash point which is far from this restaurant. First experience was literally very bad bad experience. They avoid taxes and gives extra headaches for their customers. Not recommended

The food was very tasty, that’s why I’ve given it 5 stars! the portions size is okish, jug of mango lassi was a bit small tbh. £75 incl masala tea for 3 people not to bad.

The kebabs or the curry in the platter was not fresh causing the heartburn. Please get the card machine.

The food is good, and the Mixed Tawa Set Menu for two is reasonably sufficient for two people. However, the price has increased significantly — it was £25 in 2020 but is now £35. A word of caution: if you don’t have cash, be prepared. There’s a small notice inside the restaurant stating, “No Card, Only Cash.” This information should ideally be displayed outside the restaurant so customers can decide before entering. I later heard that it used to be displayed outside but was removed by the owner, which feels a bit misleading. Honestly, I wouldn’t have entered the restaurant had I known this in advance. I’m not planning to going back again !

Had the pleasure of visiting here, had the butter chicken and mixed grill platter. Food was excellent, service was amazing and very welcoming and friendly. Will be returning soon!

The food was fantastic, particularly the mix grill which was succulent and flavorful. The service was exceptional, especially when it came to the mix grill. The staff was attentive and ensured a delightful dining experience.

Ordered the mix tava for 4 people, food was quite bland, the curry was not enough for 4 people, was given half a naan portion then had to ask for the second half, asked for a jug of water but no glasses, had to ask for cutlery. We were constantly calling staff to do their job which ruined the experience.

Mix grilled platter was fabulous 👌. A good option to try for a change which comes with different types of meat and chicken grilled with uniquely seasoned flavors. The platter was more than enough for 8 people ( 3 kids, 5 adults). Service also is good.

Big place, praying area. Food was OK but the tawa itself was cold. The rice and everything on the tawa was cold which was highly disappointing as one can imagine. Daal, rice, curry, chips ... basically everything was cold. Difficult to locate and parking is as expected in Luton.

I love coming here and eat here regularly. The large tawa has a great selection of meats and delicious. Recommend coming here as a group. The desserts are also divine and presented beautifully. Great place

Been here a couple of times now and can not fault the food or service. Brilliant food and service from the staff every time we go. All the food on the Tawa is fresh too. This time I went there was more curries on there but last time was mainly grilled stuff. Not sure if there has been a change nevertheless still good value for money. Will be visiting again soon

Some of the best desi food you can get. The Tawa is large, and enough food for everyone. The currys all have differing tastes and are very well made. My kids love it here, and i also took my sister and her kids. They all loved it. We will go back again, as it was really authentic pakistani food, nnot cheap curryhouse type fodder.

I went there today with my family and overall enjoyed the experience. The food was decent and the service was good. I would say the food is overpriced especially for Luton. Also the paneer in the large special tawa was very bland. Good place to take family and a nice atmosphere. Desserts were also decent although the kulfi icecream wasn’t very nice.

Today, I went to Tawa House for the first time with my family to celebrate my birthday. At first, we were a bit unsure, but the owner made an effort to make us feel welcome. The food was excellent, and we had a great time with happy memories.

Very nice food loved the place. Nice seating areas and waiters were very polite and friendly. Food was amazing. £55 for a whole tawa full of flavours. Kebabs,tikkas,naan,daal,salan,chips. Delicious food.

Me and my wife really enjoyed our meal, the food was fresh, full of flavour and the restaurant was clean. The only downside was the young waitress who seemed to have a negative attitude when it comes to serving customers.

It was my first time at this place, and I must say the staff/waiters are very nice and friendly, the food was amazing, and very quick service. They also have a desserts area, where you can also order desserts, however the food in general is very overpriced. But overall it is a very good restaurant.

Jo and the team arranged a event for 60 of us. Everything was 10/10. The pre-event organisation, the flexibility of the team, the attentiveness and the excellent food. Highly recommended.

The service was a bit off. Not supporting Isreal that makes them anti Isreal but the food was awesome. Different people have different life style don't really care if they are anti Isreal or not. Only there to try out food.

Best in Luton, food is always on point and cooked fresh for every order. Staff are very respectful and prices are reasonable as-well. Their mango lassi is perfect and refreshing whether it’s hot or cold it always hits the spot. Overall 11/10 from me

Dnt trust the prices on the menu because you have to pay more at the till. They riping off the customers telling them that price has gone up but they cannot afford to print new menus . So beware to avoid paying higher prices than the prices mentioned on menu.

I visited, this place a few months back during the month of Ramadan and it was extremely busy and I have to admit the food wasn’t that good. I went back again last week and completely different. The food is amazing. The portions are huge. Will definitely come back here and I definitely recommend very family

Got a Tawa platter, absolutely delicious, so many items, especially liked the grilled lamb chops and seek kebabs. Im from London but can see myself visiting there again just for this place. Very helpful waitress.

Came here during Ramadan. When I walked in they were really busy and had only pre bookings, but the owner was amazing, accomadated me and my wife, and the service and food was 11/10. First time i tried it and wont be the last.

I have been there a couple of times. Every time they increased the food price and kept less quantity of food which unbelievable. As customers, we don't negotiate the price, and we pay whatever the cost of the food, so why do they reduce the quantity of the food. It looks like they are more greedy they don't give dam about reputation.....

I came in Ramadan after fasting for my iftar. I called 4 hours in advanced and confirmed a preorder 3 times. I get for my booking on time and start noticing other people getting their food. After 30 minutes they come to me and asked have I ordered. I explained my situation and they said they don’t take preorders and send out orders first come, first served. Bear in mind I’ve been fasting for the entire day, not once did they apologise to me. I left there and had my day ruined. Not coming here again.

Often dine in this restaurant when on shift in Luton. Staff are extremely accommodating to emergency services. Probably the best food I have eaten! (Trust me, I eat a lot ;-) Great atmosphere. Great Food Great Service ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Friendly staff and great quality food.

A group of us went for dinner here, however we were overcharged. According to the menu prices our bill should've been £131.50; we were charged £157.50. They randomly overcharge whoever and how much they want. This is against the law and was my first and is obviously last visit. The food was average; nothing that sets it aside from other places. There is a selection of teas listed on the menu where only desi tea is available (which is milky tea, not spiced tea). One lady who served us was very accommodating but apart from her, the service was disappointingly unsatisfactory. If you are going to spend your hard earned money, go to a place where they will appreciate your custom and where they won't defraud you.

This review is for Tawa House (the hidden gem under the cover of The Dessert Table) coz I was not able to find Tawa House on Google maps (they may have done this deliberately to avoid too much public queuing for their finger licking food). Well jokes apart on a serious note (as I get serious when it concerns food) this is a disgusting place. This was my first and last time there obviously. The girl who comes to take the order looks like some cheap model from slum, can’t care for anything else but for her antics, after taking order brings a bowl of somewhat stale salad then whilst passing by slaps few tissues. After few minutes comes our main course with starters (half cold half warmish kebabs little raw to be fair) main course tasteless and looked bit dodgy but not too bad to refuse straightaway. I endured the food with family cursing myself to have opted to give this place a try. These are indifferent morons who can’t care less what they feed to their paying customers. And customers will be partners in crime to go there second time. This girl took our mouldy, not so much but certainly cheap chips to wrong table then got it from there after couple minutes. After this ordeal when finally I walked up to pay the bill at the counter this same girl tells my bill is £112 to my horror twice. I said that can’t be possible, then she realises that she got the wrong bill. So you know now what a wonderful experience we had at this place. And after reading this if you are excited….please indulge

Incredible!! There should be an 8th wonder of the world and it should be located here at tawa house (Luton). Went here for my birthday and definitely considering to go back. Elegancy was soaring throughout the building and couldn’t take my eyes off the luxury signs that were placed. The food is a solid 5!! (6 if possible) this is the place to be at if you want your taste buds to twisstt with euphoria! Everything just bursts with flavour especially the mango lassi. Service was very nice, was very friendly and knows what they’re doing. Keep up the great work!

I came here at 11:20 for a Tawa after a long 5 hour flight and the guy said we are not doing Tawa it’s finished. The website states it closes at 12am but 40 mins earlier we were not served. Now I’m gonna have to go somewhere else and eat food when I really wanted to taste the Tawa. Do not recommend as the guy that served us was rude, and did not show any empathy or offer us any alternatives when there were people eating inside as can be seen on the image I’ve attached. Not happy and do not recommend. I have to go 3 hours more now drive all hungry.

Had a £75 Tawa with Family. Bought one Jung lassi the contents of this Lassi’s Jung was 3 little glaas. 2 cans soft drinks and 3 little juice drinks for children. Bill came £97. Shall not be visiting this premises again, nor can I recommend these premises. The shop is in a secondary position. I do not believe the rent or rates are very high. They should not charge so much for soft drinks.

We came for a birthday meal for over 30 people and booked a group of tables. Only downside was that another party had mistakenly been given our tables. Nonetheless this was sorted by the manager and we enjoyed our visit. Food was great, staff polite and very helpful. Our whole family enjoyed the meal and they are not easy to please! Very poor experience! Cheap quality cooking oil used and lamb chops were served raw. Overpriced for the poor quality food and portion size (large tawa was ordered).
