Best Cafe around Kirkby Lonsdale / Lancaster!! Service was amazing, ambience fantastic and food was amazing quality. Will definitely be going back, the deluxe hot chocolate is to die for!

The best service. We were greeted by the owner on arrival. A very small local business, with a nice atmosphere. I had a cheese and onion toastie and my friend had a full English breakfast, the owner was very nice and asked us which bread we'd prefer etc. The food came piping hot and was very obviously fresh from the kitchen, service was fast and with a smile. Lovely food and very reasonably priced especially for the area. Will definitely visit again ✨️

Excellent find. very friendly welcome from the young girl serving. Very good locally supplied coffee. Menu is good proper cafe food, just what we needed and well priced.

We visited Kirkby Lonsdale on our way to Barrow and decided to stop in at Tatas Cafe. The service was excellent, considering there was only one lady working there. We had a pot of Earl Grey, a cappuccino and a scone with jam and whipped cream. It was delicious! Would visit again when in the area

We called in for breakfast and were greeted by the friendly owner, who took our order. We each ordered breakfast sandwiches, which were tasty and well filled, served on soft white bread, with hot drinks and juice. Soon after we arrived, a teenager came in and began chatting very loudly to someone else working at the cafe, who did not emerge from behind the counter during our visit. Unfortunately the volume of their conversation was distracting and dominated any other atmosphere in the cafe, making it hard to have our own conversation. Two couples arrived after us but left soon after as no-one greeted them and they had to suffer the loud conversations - we might have made the same decision if we hadn't arrived before it started. The food wasn't cheap but decent, and we were happy to pay, our visit was just let down by the atmosphere.

We had over-priced cheese and chutney sandwiches with granary bread that was stale. We were served by a sour faced teenager who lacked any social graces. Very disappointing!

£11.25 for 3 full English breakfasts that took 30 mins to arrive and all except beans in little pot was cold to like warm. Our tea arrived quickly but was cold when food arrived. Had we not been tired and on way home from holiday we would have sent it back.

Had a great soup, sarnie and brew. Well worth a look in here in my opinion. The negative reviews for Tatas seem very petty.

Visited many times, usually eat the full english, great quality sauages and bacon, clean and crisp on a grease free plate, best english breakfast in kirkby in my opinion. Polite friendly staff and extremely clean cosy cafe

Worst breakfast I've ever had and absolutely extortionate in price. Not worth going ever!!

Extremely poor experience. The Asian service staff was especially rude when I complained that my cappuccino was undrinkable - but offered to pay anyways. She told me I had no idea and should go to Mc Donald’s instead. She raised her voice saying further derogatory things and all guests were alarmed. She kept saying she had only 2 arms while I tried to explain to her that that was no excuse for bad coffee. She also charged me for the 2 awful cappuccinos.

Very Bad experience !!! . The waitress was extremely aggressive & rude. First she did not clear the tables for quite some time after seating us saying she is understaffed and has only two hands. Then she served us horrible coffee. We wanted to pay and leave but she got upset for not having the coffee, & came back very aggressively to say that we go to Mc Donald’s to have one. How there are just two people and customers just keep arriving. We kept saying that we want to pay and leave but she would not give up, and kept shouting. Very bad food and staff behaviour. In a nutshell not worth wasting one’s time there.

Was pleasantly adequate but vastly overpriced like everything these days, not the proprietors fault, sadly just consumerism at work.

Ate here with a friend yesterday. Ordered coffee but couldn't drink it as it was tasteless. Sent it back and had a pot of tea instead, this was the same! Like hot water with milk. We both ordered toasted sandwiches but they where dry, no salad or coleslaw like the menu said. Won't be calling here again.

A sweet little cafe but it could be so much better! The food needs a little more thought and finese. Cut the fat off the bacon , slice the sausage and serve in a nice bread roll not sliced bread , its all a bit transport cafe ! I'd additionally ditch the music not necessary its so cosy you don't need music to spoil the atmosphere. It's a very nice cafe but they just think about how they present their food .

Excellent cafe, full English was superb, def recommend it. Although short staff the wait was well worth it. Tata is lovely & very friendly. I miss not going there for my breakfast 😢 5 stars 🥰 x

The service here was not great, we waited a good 10mins before I had to gain the waiting staffs attention to order, this should have given me a warning of what to expect… Considering there are only 6 tables in the cafe, by the time the food arrived, we’d already finished our drinks! To top it off, they got the order wrong… Maybe we just caught them on a bad day 😬

This is a simple cafe, in that it offers a small menu and has one person working to around 5 tables/18 people. It's clean, has good coffee, is dog friendly and the lady who runs it is welcoming. To make simple work properly, the basics need to be excellent, not OK. It would benefit from having either an extra member of staff or not serving hot food.

Really quaint tea rooms and cafe. I can highly recommend the egg & bacon sandwiches!

Staff nice and friendly but the scone wasn't fresh and the crumpets not hot. Shame really as it seemed a happy little spot. The pot of tea was great. And they are dog friendly too.

Cosy cafe, friendly staff, competitively priced, clean toilets. I only had a snack and a (generous) pot of tea but the food on the menu looked good and decent portions too. I would go back again!

Please Know .. A Full English Breakfast Comes With Toast !! The Full English Breakfast was really nice, however the staff did not serve it with toast as it said on the menu. How can you not know your own menu? On a better note, this is a great café with polite friendly staff .. A second chance will be given on our next visit ..

What a shame I can't recommend this little cafe. After waiting for our sandwich (had already drunk all our coffee it took that long)decided to take sandwich as a take away. Was a very expensive sandwich of 2x slices of bread and tuna filling. No side salad etc which we had paid for. Sorry would not recommend- I felt cheated and ripped off.

What a gem of a place. We had the best ever tomato soup and sandwiches. How could tomato soup taste that good, I don't know but it was stunning. Lovely staff too. Well recommended.

Great wholesome breakfast. Small inside, so social distancing just about adequate however service and staff so good with covid distancing and PPE. Give it a try.

A cosy cafe, which is perhaps a little too small for the amount of covers. We had just latte coffees which were about the most expensive we've ever paid but sadly not the best.

From the friendly welcome to the "to die for" soup, the really well presented sandwiches this is a gem of a cafe. If you're nearby then do not miss it

Tea and cake advertised on special board for £4...so we ordered for 2, when we went to pay was charged £10.20. When we pointed out the board was told it was weekend only. Won't be visiting again.

Good bacon sarnie unless another table arrives as this place lacks the kitchen facilities to deal with more than 3 orders at once--we visited 3 times and although promised a free top up-the waitress vanished. When we asked for the top up to go-given the length of wait-they kindly added 50p to the privelege of their rank poor service--its the little things that matter so given this experience we will not return
