Tasty Curry Indian Takeaway in Southampton

Honestly, the food was great. Got complimentary salad and chutney and had a great conversation with staff. I ordered Phall which I would recommend. If you are to order from here I would suggest Phall.

First time here! 3 items did NOT look like the photos they are advertising. We called them and they said... Yeah we know they don't look like the pictures! Then why are you advertising them to look like that! The first 3 photos is what we received as a pose to what was advertised!! Never again!

Worst indian food in whole Southampton, I ordered paneer curry and king prawns masala both tasted so bad, instead of king prawns they gave baby prawns and even smaller than baby prawns and curry was super sweet, instead of mentioning we need extra spicy they made it sweet, who makes a masala dish sweet? my money got wasted and i had to sleep hungry. In paneer curry, it was only curry which was bland and paneer curry had only 4 paneer pieces.

Was pleased to see a 'new customer" offer, so decided to give Tasty Curry a try. The delivery was slightly late which wasn't a great start, but we opened our containers with anticipation of the delights inside. Sadly, on tasting the dishes we were hugely disappointed - couldn't detect the spicing. My prawn 'curry' (whilst not unpleasant) tasted more like prawn in tomato sauce - nothing like any previous curry that I've eaten, not the slightest hint of 'heat'. My husband said his Madras was also a very mild curry - not all at fiery. He recently decided to downgrade from Vindaloos as some were fiercely spicy, bit tonight's dish underwhelmed him. Such a shame. Will we be repeat customers based on tonight's meal or recommend to others, sadly not.

We regular order and pick up from there and we always like it a lot. Price is good as well.

UNETHICAL BUSINESS This place ONLY cares about your money. The food is also old and stale. I’ve seen the staff get treated poorly and my personal details got sold to their other marketing business. Be conscious when supporting a business like this!!!!!

I've not ordered from Tasty Curry since the change of management but now wishing I did it sooner. Everything was delicious and we will definitely be coming back for more. The delivery man was very nice too, and food arrived a little earlier than expected. Very Happy!

We've had a takeaway from here quite a few times and the food has always been very tasty and good quality. The only downside is they've put their prices up a lot over the past couple of years, from £5-6 per dish to £8-9, so it's not great value for money anymore.

Given the wrong food ( ordered chicken tikka received vegetable korma). Bhajis were raw, naan was cold, food generally was undercooked and dry. Even the korma was very pasty and unappealing. Very disappointing

I ordered yesterday and food was delicious specially the chicken tikka biryani and garlic chilli chicken and naan breads .everything was good cooked and good spicy

I recently tried Testy Curry takeaway service, and I was blown away. The food was a burst of flavors, and the portions were generous. The staff was courteous, ensuring my order was perfect. The quality of their takeaway alone speaks volumes. Highly recommended for a delicious meal to enjoy at home!

Good food. Ordered veg dishes yesterday and taste was very good. Paneer Jalfregy was great. Desert was special and felt like home food.

Food is okay but they are not generous, I have been to other Indian takeaways and they give me free popadoms or some sort of discount. You don’t feel important

Food was shambles. Chicken tandoori was alright but the special Biryani was full of smelly old prawns, had to chuck it. Matar paneer, the paneer was really hard chucked it as well. Sorry but Not worth it

Don't even try them. Over priced for similar products in market. No perceived value for money and that too over priced for the delivered quality.

Honestly the worst curry I have ever had! The curry was bland, watery and near tasteless, the sag aloo had barely any potato and again was bland, the naan was undercooked and the rice was lukewarm. Very very dissapointed and will not be returning.

Food was not tasty at all. Would avoid in future. Update: We decided to try again and this time explained how we wanted the food cooked, eg less oil not very spicy etc and to our surprise they prepared the food as per request and it was so tasty. We now do takeaway from here often but make sure to speak to the chef while we place the order.

Ordered a curry from here last week. It was bland and tasteless. Chicken looked undercooked. I had food poisoning for 2 days after eating the curry which started through the night after eating. Im pregnant and was very unwell.

Worst curry I’ve have had in a long time. Bland, tasteless and would have got better results from Iceland frozen section and an air fryer.

Absolutely fantastic service. I ordered for 12 people. Cans of drink too. The gentleman and lady that bought the food were very polite. Tasty curry gave us extra drink, poppadum's and curry for free too! All the curries were Halal . Brilliant place. Delirious food too.. Tasty Curry is definitely one i will visit again. 100% best service locally and best quality food. Just made an order this evening and as usual tasty curry never fail.

Thought we’d try a different curry house to our normal one... ohh boy was that a mistake! Within two hours of eating it I had severe abdominal discomfort within the next hour I had diarrhoea and was sick. The curry was cold on arrival with stale poppadoms (was like chewing gum). My partner has been the same but not to the level I am today. I don’t often write poor reviews but had to for this place... Food poisoning is horrendous and having so planned for the weekend all I’ve been able to is lay in bed sweating, shivering and running to the loo.

Definitely my favourite Indian takeaway and has been for years now! Food is very good quality, rich and flavoursome, great portion sizes for a very good price. Staff are also very friendly and accommodating so if you want something in particular or worried about allergies they will look after you!

Been using Tasty Curry for years and always recommend them to friends. Today's order was very disappointing. Not only was the biryani rice cold, we specifically asked for no mushrooms yet half of the biryani sauce was mushrooms. Was looking forward to this treat. Wasn't expecting to have to pick through the food before eating it. It has put me off ordering again.

Don’t order from here if you have an allergy!! They have no idea about cross contamination. We ordered a meal from here last week and clearly stated my daughter had a shellfish allergy prior to ordering. She ordered her food which was free from shellfish or so she thought. Within minutes of eating her lips and tongue were swelling and she started to suffer an anaphylactic reaction. Thankfully she didn’t need to use her epipens although it was close. The restaurant denied it was their food and showed absolutely no concern at all. No f***s given and no refund either! Apart from putting my daughters life in danger which is unbelievable, their irresponsible and reckless practice and failure to understand the importance of cross contamination will inevitably put someone else at risk in the future. Avoid at all costs.

Ordered 2 weeks ago, was spot on, tonight was a different story. Just had 2 mouthfuls of lamb Danshak and Bombay potato, dumped the lot would rather have got a microwaveable curry from Asda. Greasy horrible mess had to clean up after dishing it up that was before even eating it due to the flood of grease and fat all over the table. Slung the whole lot in the bin with great satisfaction wouldn’t give it to the dog.

Very very Good, well impressed with customer service from ordering to delivery. Delivery was piping hot, and on time, the driver was happy, which is unusual for a lot of food buisnessbu. The Indian food was excellent, all the food. My only qualm and this is my own personal preference, I like the food to be in resealable plastic containers, and not the aluminum ones. We will order all our indian takeaways from here for the foreseeable future ....🙂

Used this place as our curry take-away of choice for many years. Excellent chicken tikka dishes (highly recommended) and curry is often less crammed with fat than other establishments. Important for my diabetic wife. Like Ronseal, this place does what it says on the tin. Pick-up is usually much prompter than take-away so I usually try to do this when I can.

Don’t order from this place. Many better options to choose from from other businesses. Meals were cold, part wrong order and when I called up they were rude and refused to send out the correct items and put the phone down on me. Disgusting customer service and even worse food. Straight in the bin so highly advise ordering elsewhere.

Just ordered Vegetable Balti ***** King prawn biryani w/ sauce *** ( but just found a small piece of metal Scourer in the rice) :( Brinjal bhaji ***** Chicken tikka masala *** ( A little too much coconut) Overall it was really nice. The price was good. Just a shame about the little piece of metal :( as I wanted to give them a really good review. It arrived super hot and before the allocated time suggested 👍

The name is a joke. ‘Tasty’ curry it is not. My curry was watery, tasteless and only have 5 pieces of chicken. All arrived cold and 15 minutes late. The only nice part was my can of drink that’s not produced here

Delivery time 30mins then changed to 45mins.. then an hour after calling told a other '5minutes' hour and 20mins later still no food. How not to run your business.

The only good thig was that it was quick but wasnt worth it the narn bread was like rock the chicken korma was like baby food i woulnd ever suggest this place unless you were dying of starvation but even then i wouldnt go there so go somewhare else

Used to b good.Don't know what's gone wrong.Two weekends in a row major cock ups.1st they forgot a dish and forgot to leave the popadoms & Nahn Bread it came 20 mins later.Cold.2nd weekend ordered at 7.05pm.Said it will b 45 mins.After a lot of phone calls it arrived at 9.15......Unacceptable.....I would never use again.You have been warned.

As they all say this is the best curry house around you won't be able to better. Top marks. I will be back !!!!!!

I've used Tasty Curry for many months now, and have never been disappointed. Great food, and reasonably priced! Quick delivery times, and good service. Would highly recommend!
