Tastees Restaurant & Takeaway in Nottingham

Another Christmas treat from Tastees this time at home. 1st time that I have had to have an home delivery thanks to covid. I like the restaurant. Anyhow I choose the Shahi King Prawn. Garlic and Chilli naan. Really succulent prawns which went with the curry sauce perfectly. The naan just a little kick just how I like it. Sides I had 2 popadum and chutney tray. Well done hope to see you in your restuarant next year.

Christmas is not Christmas for me without a visit to Tastees. From the moment I walked I felt welcome. I ordered 2 popperdoms and a mixed pickle. Very crispy a great way to start. For mains I had the tikka mix grill with a garlic and chilli naan. The meat came on a sizzling plate. Each bite of the of the meat full of flavour. Can't wait for next Christmas for a return visit.

El restaurante no era una sorpresa. La comida estaba bien, aunque tuvimos que esperar algún día. La carne shish kebab era genial. Los precios estaban bien, no tan caro.

Este restaurante nunca falla cuando necesito un curry, a diferencia de otros restaurantes, no debilitan su curry y siempre es un gran sabor.

Vivo en Yorkshire y recorro el M 1 de vez en cuando. Durante más de 15 años siempre he hecho una parada en el cruce 26 siempre que puedo visitar aquí. Los pasajeros en mi auto, creo que es muy extraño, pero quiero ir a Nottingham a la hora del té. No creen que sea muy extraño después de haber estado allí. Hoy fue el pescado masala, las chuletas Tandoori Lam, el cordero Teaka e incluso el maravilloso kebab de Donna sin pan. Simplemente fantástico

Just come in from a wine tasting. So we wanted something filling and somewhere where they didn't serve alchoal. I like Tastees I usually on Christmas day evening. I was told that they were short staffed and they may be a wait. I had the mixed grill. That was served on cast iron pan. All the meat very tender and well cooked. Not too spicy which is just how I like it. THO had the Lamb madras which was very flavoursome. On the side we had a portion of pillia rice and a chili and garlic naan. The food is made fresh which did add to the wait, but folks don't let that put you off. Tastees I shall see at Christmas

Ordered from this 'restaurant', service was average, food on the other hand was a different kettle of fish.Exceeding far below average, both chicken dishes had no flavour, dryer than the Sahara desert but somehow as runny as an ocean, dripping in oil and has made us feel nauseous.Worst Indian takeaway I've experienced in Nottingham. If I could give this 0 stars...no brainer what I would do.

Went with 10 friends and 2 of there children was looked after really well and food was brilliant. Couldn’t fault anything on the day.

Tastees, radford nottingham. Ordered a couple times to my sisters and brothers house through just eat and it was lovely. Ordered myself over the phone as I wanted to state I only wanted a splash of hot chili and wanted to make sure the order was taken correctly. However it took nearly 2 hours to arrive and when it did it was swimming in hot chilli. I couldn't even attempt to eat it as I would of suffered terrible with acid being pregnant! I called back and they said they would send another one and it never came. The order was originally placed at 8.24pm it's now 11.14pm and nothing! One starving annoyed pregnant person! 😡 Paid for a kebab I couldn't eat and it's such a shame because the previous times we ordered were perfect!

absolutely disgusted. I placed my order last night on just eat and stated a restaurant note before placing my order and made sure to tell the restaurant my front door was through the back and not the front. the delivery driver (syed) refused to listen to this and was arguing with me for 20 minutes on the phone, when I told him I had paid for a delivery I expect it to be ordered to my door as it was in my rights. he was knocking on the front door (however this is a bedroom door), so what he was knocking on was wrong and was waking someone in that room up, which I find appalling. I then contacted the restaurant and told them this, in which they told him to come to the back. I asked if there is nothing that they can do as my food has probably gone cold, and they told me nothing could be done. baring in mind this was like 01:40am, the delivery driver came through the back finally and kicked my gate open and shouted hello out loud without bother knocking on my door, I was disgusted. he then handed me my food to then argue with me again asking me where is your door number, I stated I wouldn’t be on the phone to you if this wasn’t a delivery for me at this time of the night. I then tried to call the restaurant again and got no answer. I called them up this evening and requested to speak to the manager, in which I got told that who I was speaking to was the manager. I then told him the problem of last night, and he said oh yes I remember you we sacked the delivery man now as we’ve had a lot of complaints about him. further to the conversation, I realised he was not the manager and had lied to me and found he did not sack the delivery driver. I asked if anything could be done or if I could gain something from this as my food arrived late and cold, with an argumentative driver in which I got a reply from the restaurant in a sarcastic way informing me they are busy and cut the call. I am in my every rights for this and am disgusted with the staff and their rude behaviour. the food was not cooked up to standard either and never will I order from here again.

I ordered food from this place they accepted the order they took my money but never delivered my food and when I tried to call they never pick it up If you wanna save you money please never to order food form this place ever and this restaurant doesn’t even deserve one star it deserves -5 stars this the worst customer service i have ever had 😡😡😡😡

Well I'm on me own again at Christmas. So I go to where I go every Christmas Tastees This time no mixed reviews. From the moment I entered I was made welcome This year I had the mix grill and a garlic and chilli naan. I just hope that the photo does the food justice. This is a cracking curry house just outside the city centre. I just want to make one point it does not have a drinking licence not sure if you can take your own drink.

terrible food and very bad service staff are rude we were told our order would be 40mins but it took 1hr 15mins the was COLD and seemed under cooked the order was different from the one we made and when we called to complain the staff customer service was shocking they refused to change the order and said that the food we didn't want we should not eat very bad service

Overall nice food..not the most consistent of places (in terms of taste) and they are a bit stingy on the salads (requested more salad and got a miserable serving to be honest), also the salads don't really seem all that fresh, but it's OK. Nice selection of dishes which are generally made/served well.. although I can get better food in less upmarket places..but this is a decent place to visit with family as it has nice, clean and peaceful are to sit.

Fuimos a cenar la última noche y nos encantó. La comida era precioso, tenía un biryani (algo diferente) y siento decirlo, pero mover más de madre! Fue hermoso. Tanto a mi como a mis socios de negocios eran geniales y las raciones son tan grandes que tengo algunas sobras para comer hoy! Sin duda teniendo la esposa a cenar allí.

Tiene asientos para llevar la parte pero nos dijeron que no puede ordenar y sentarse y comer, así que nos aconsejaron ir al restaurante. No es un gran problema ya que está al lado. Pedimos y esperamos al menos 45 minutos. Esto era alrededor de 23. 00 Así incluso bastante tarde, así que no debería haber sido más personal. El chaval que estaba trabajando era obviamente ocupada. Aumentar su personal que son visibles en el suelo. La comida (cuando llegamos) estaba bien, pedí un pollo Balti que era picante y el pollo tierno. Precios bien. En general, volvería pero sólo quiero comida para llegar mucho más rápido de 45 minutos. Decepcionante. .

Entramos en una noche de viernes. Ningún empleado, el lugar estaba vacío, pensé buen comienzo y definitivamente no se sientan bienvenidos cuando el barman/camarero llegado!

Tuve una mala experiencia con este lugar la última vez que fui, pero pensé que le daría el beneficio de la duda ya que la comida siempre ha sido buena, era el personal que fue el tema de la última vez.

Primero, lo bueno. La comida era muy buena, tenía la mezcla especial del chef. Una mezcla de pollo y cordero no demasiado caliente justo para mí el arroz verduras era realmente agradable. La única cosa tat dejar pasar la noche fue el joven que me atendió. Tiene que aprender cómo poner la mesa hasta que me dieron la sensación de que él no quería estar allí. Dicho esto la comida siempre era muy agradable que volveremos el próximo año sin duda.

Food was TASTELESS never mind tastee... £25 on the blandest indian food i ever tasted, tikka masala was renk onion baji was burnt and samosas dripping in oil, pilau rice was just boiled rice even the poppadoms was stale .. Ive ordered from these in the past and rated them fully but after Saturday nights experience i wont be eating from here again absoultely disgusting

Yo siempre caer por después del trabajo cuando quiero tratar yo sin romper el banco. Yo vivo en la misma carretera y es un cambio agradable de los chippies cerca. Siempre he pedido el de comida para llevar en casa y el servicio es siempre rápido y con gran sabor en porciones decentes. No he comido en el restaurante todavía, pero tengo la intención de un día.

We came here last month after they have recently refurbished and made the restaurant bigger. We've been here a few times before as the place is good for families. And I have to say it is the best mixed grill I have had anywhere. Definitely well worth a visit just for the grill. Firstly it's amazing value for money as we brought 3 (for a family size of 6) thinking they will be quite small and I have to say no! The grill size is huge 3 people could eat this comfortably and move straight into dessert! The masala fish is not to bad either. We also had the jalfrezi and the chicken andi, although I have had better jalfrezis elsewhere theirs was not bad at all. Highly recommend and will come here again!

I have been going to tastees for many years and their food has always been really good. There has been occasions where they wont deliver to me if my order has even been 50p under their minimum delivery charge which I think is a bit unreasonable. I ordered some food recently and stated about 3 times exactly what I wanted and when I received it, it was the wrong order. I think a lot of it was to do with the language barrier. It would make sense to have someone who can spk english on the phone. I then called to let them know it was the wrong order and the person I spoke to was apologetic but then when I got off the phone this person proceeded to whatsapp me so he had obviously taken my number from the work phone. About 2 days later he then messaged me again and told me he had managed to find me on facebook which I found very unnerving and a complete violation of my privacy. How dare a member of staff think it ok to use my number to start messaging me and then go on to find me on social media. I will not be going to Tastees again after this!!

So disappointed with tastees. First they deliver our order wrong and then make us wait in total 2.5 hours since we ordered the first order! Not only that, the boss himself disputed with me that they were busy (even though we should have been priority as they messed up our order) and gave us a pittance of £5 off the order. Needless to say I won't be ordering from here again! Shocking service.

I visited my daughter in Nottingham on my birthday. She and her husband decided to get an Indian Take Away. The tandoori dishes were OK but the curry left a lot to be desired. The place looked clean and impressive but we did not sit down to eat as it was getting late and the grandchildren were getting edgy. The service definitely was slow.

My friend recommended to the tastees for dinner .he also recommended the joar and mix grill .it was so tasty and yummy .good service

Not one for Christmas. TOH goes to her parents house so I'm left on me own. So after some house work I like to get out of the house and go for a curry. I had a shock this year place been done up looks very nice indeed. Well lets get to the food.Prawn Saag, Veg rice and a garlic and chili naan. All of which were fantastic. The naan was light not stodgy rice this might sound odd but it seemed that you could taste every grain as for the Saag no complaints. One of the best curry houses in Nottingham.Well done to all the staff.

Visited to order a take away for myself and my hubby. Ordered the Tastee's special mix kebab. Everything is cooked freshly in front of you and is reasonably priced. This kebab is delicious!! I recommend that people give it a try. The staff are accommodating, polite and friendly. All food is reasonably priced and fresh! Lovely place and we will definitely be visiting again soon.

We wanted some junk food and was recommended this place and we weren't disappointed!Donner masala fish naan and chicken kebab were all excellent..Service with a smile would be nice.. The gentleman with the beard just about mustered a smile when I told him the food was really good.. But the food made up for it!!

I've been to this place many times and the curries are consistently good and tasty. I normally have a prawn puri starter and lamb achari curry with keema rice. Prices are good so if you're after a decent curry that's value for money then give this place a try.

This place has been open for years yet I have only tried it very recently. This place is split up in 2 places, the left side is the take-away and the right side is the restaurant, We stayed in the restaurant side and ordered several things like Chicken Bhuna, Chicken Dansak, Pilau, Paneer Tikka, Seekh Kebabs with naan, and mango lassi - all very good indeed. The staff were very friendly and on the weekends it does stay open until 3.00am which is handy - quite a cosy restaurant and people do come here even though it is in an area that is known for high crime rate but it didn't put me off. The food is reasonably priced and the service was excellent. I shall be coming here regularly especially at the weekends

Food is excellent, this is my favourite restaurant in Nottingham. Lamb chops and Seekh kebabs are fab, I absolutely love the chicken karahi. Lamb tikka is nice as well. Quiet little restaurant, pleasant staff and great food what more could you want?

Late Saturday night 4th January 20014 after sampling the real ale delights of Canning Circus Blue Monkeys The Organ Grinder & Lincoln Greens The Falcon a late night stroll home via Alfreton road, I had noticed Tastees on trip & was on my visit list.This place would have been my first introduction to a proper curry back in the early 80s when it was called the Taj Mahal wonders of wonders the gaffe recognized me from 30 odd years ago its still owned by the same people but now renamed & split into two sit down kebabs & takeaway one side & Indian restaurant the other kebab it is, chicken Tikka Donna mix on a massive naan salad & great big dollop of garlic mayo & chilli sauce simply wonderful pay it a visit.

Before I do review they need to change the photo of the restaurant, because that's not the place.Anyway back to the food.I go here on the 25th December ( I don't do Christmas ) usually by myself this year 2013 there were 3 of us. OK they might not have a drinking license no big deal there as long as the food is good. Believe me it is good, and really good value for money. Will I be back next Christmas you bet maybe I might bring more friends with me who knows.

Tastees has been around for a long time. food here is ok, mainly maketed for locals and students. chicken tikka and grilled sheesh kebabs are good. havent been to restaurant side of tastees.

Tonight we decided to dine at the restaurant, and were very satisfied. 2 starters, 2 mains, 2 sides, and 2 drinks came to 25 pounds. Excellent value! The staff were also very helpful, and seemed enthusiastic and took pride in the restaurant (always refreshing to see!) HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
