We had a takeaway from Rikshaw and mine is usually very nice. It is very hard to find completely vegan takeaways in Nottingham so we have been trying different ones which are primarily not animal friendly so I can enjoy a takeaway with my family. I'm vegan and follow a dairy free diet due to health reasons so I had the vegan curry which I usually have and I'm usually fine with. My meal tasted very nice but after eating I became poorly like I do when my food contains dairy. After this experience I won't be eating at Rikshaw again and wouldn't recommend my fellow vegans and dairy free diets to eat here too. Apart from this the food tasted delicious as always.

Family of 6 home delivery on a Saturday recently. Foist was bland tasteless and way over spiced. The chef clearly had a heavy hand with the spices. Chicken chunks with different heavily spiced bland sauces. Naan’s were also tasteless and food was delivered rather cold ish. Will not try this place again. Disappointing as came recommended by a close friend

The food, atmosphere and even service was perfect. The portions were really good as well. The owner is extremely sweet. Loved everything!

Best curry we’ve had in the UK.

No idea how the food tastes because despite ordering over an hour ago, our food still isn’t here and the line to the restaurant is busy. The food has been out for delivery for 40 minutes and we live 5 minutes away. I understand delays happen but the phone line being busy constantly and zero communication from the restaurant is unacceptable. Will never order from here again.

The rice was off and the manager was acting funny when I complained but it .. I ended up throwing away my rice and curry as the food rice was off and mixed with the curry the man was unfriendly on the phone and tried to blame me for the rice being off .. what a joke should be reported for this .!!

Keep away from this pathetic takeaway!! Stone cold food!! Delivery was 55 minutes late!!! Customer service was total fabrication!!

A usual Sunday when we take a break from cooking and order food from a Restaurant. The order took for ever to arrive as hunger was killing us. We ordered for chicken chilli, chicken biryani and chicken noodles. The food looked yummy and the quantity was too good. But the taste was not we were expecting of.

We heard of Rickshaw from a friend and now we only ever order an Indian from here. Havinh ordered for delivery a good number of times now and the food is always incredible - rich in flavour, always hot and the naan breads are the best I've had. 100% the best Indian in Nottingham.

We used to like chats from this place except this time we took samosa chat and it is pathetic. It is just a samosa lying in the bucket of sauces no chickpeas or other stuff ( which is the essence of the chat). They should have informed if they ran out of chat instead they gave samosa in a soup. Samosa was not even warm nor fresh. And that amount of sauces is just acidic. We are highly disappointed.

There was a mix-up with my order and it got lost on it's way to me but the guy on the phone was super friendly and helpful and sent it back out free of charge with extra food and drink as compensation. Incredible food and great service.

Usually pretty good but watch out for any requested changes you ask for or make on Uber eats. They get it wrong all the time. I had to throw one of my delivery dishes away because they didn't follow the changes.

My favourite biryani place. I live in London, and every time I visit Nottingham I have to get the lamb biryani from this place. It is my favourite biryani in the UK. Staff are always friendly and prices are very reasonable. Definitely recommend trying.

Been into the restaurant first time really craving for Papdi chat and lamb chops. ordered many other foods from the menu and enjoyed. Quick service, Affordable prices and very tasty food, Must recommend to go to…

(SCAMMERS!!) I placed an order on uber eats and the food never arrived. I was waiting outside in the cold and they didnt even answer my phone calls or anything. Honestly please dont order from this place and dont waste your time and money!!! THEY ARE SCAMMERS!!

Over an hour late again, its pretty regular with these guys. So you wait all evening, have no contact or update from them, cant call them then it arrives at the end of your evening and its cold with things missing and definitely not worth the wait, its just a joke! I never leave reviews but avoid until they get their act together!!

Food was awful , awful is understatement. Chicken lassan was very sweet for a curry even for a desert . Chicken biryani had no chicken . Took 1.5 hour for delivery and food was spilled .

Never order from here. Worst service I have ever seen. I don’t know how they are still in business, probably my fooling new customer everyday. It’s more than 2 hr and still waiting for the food.

Food tasted nice but was cold and nothing special at all. The cheese naan, was a normal naan with a sprinkle of cheese. The curry was ordered "hot" but it was very mild. Delivery driver took 45 minutes to get from the restaurant to my flat. As I was baby sitting, I couldn't go and collect but I live on Mansfield Road, literally 2 minutes away in the car Rang the restaurant, the person on the phone said the driver was "a couple of minutes away", he turned up 15 minutes later? Genuinely baffled

Be prepared for a 4 hour wait for food if delivery. Then spend 30 min directing the driver Food cold / dry but to be expected after that wait. Next time I will walk to India much quicker

Hadn't been for a while but I remember it being much better. I ordered the Grilled Paneer Tikka for take out, which arrived promptly but inside the box there was only the marinated cheese cubes, no peppers or red onion as advertised. Fortunately I was able to grill some veggies at home and make a meal of it but this kind of defeats the purpose of getting a takeaway. I could have bought some paneer cheese and easily made the whole thing. There was a small box of salad and the sauces and chutneys were nice but you expect a veggie meal to have some vegetables in it, otherwise it's just a box of cheese. I'll check the contents before leaving if I go again.

I have never ever written a review for a business lunch but, this food was exceptional. Wish I lived nearer to the office! Incredibly tasty my clients were delighted and according to the lady that ordered the food for me the service was exeptional too. I had the railway lamb...it was incredible.

Avoid this place at all costs! My husband and I had a terrible experience with their food, suffering from food poisoning after eating Hakka noodles, paneer salad, and aloo chaat. We both felt something was off that day, and the next day, we experienced severe stomach pain. While I recovered after eating only a little, my husband had a more severe reaction, with diarrhea and eventually passing blood in his stools. It was so bad that we had to rush to the A & E for medical attention. Save yourself from this place and their food!

As a homemade chef myself with over 20 years experience in cooking dishes from all around the world, also with over 15 years in the catering and events industry I can honestly say this is the best Indian street food I've had from a restaurant/takeaway. I've tried several dishes from here over the past 3 days and yes that's me being here three days in a row with different friends and family. A must try is the railway lamb ghosht and highway chicken is a must. Without a doubt hands down the best restaurant ghosht I've ever had just wow. Next review I will try and post some images.

We tried rikshaw yesterday and we loved it! The food was so tasty! We have not had anything quite like it in or around Sherwood! 100% recommend it!

We ordered for delivery and the food turned up over an hour late, stone cold, and the curries were wrong. It took multiple attempts to ring them to see where our food was, and when they did answer, we were told it went out for delivery "a while ago" so no wonder it was cold. When we tried to contact them to say the curries were wrong, we gave up after 8 failed calls. I then sent them a message explaining the situation and they didn't respond at all. Almost £40 worth of food went in the bin, don't bother.

We eat at this amazing restaurant today the two of us, amazing food and wonderful service. Everything was a 10 out of 10 to say the least, the place was very clean as well and we wished we could have visited earlier. We will definitely go there with the kids and order home when we feel lazy. I almost forgot, they are very generous and they will make sure that whoever goes there will really enjoy themselves. Decent portions. I had chilly chicken was was delicious along with it I had chilly chicken noodles which wasn’t upto the mark. Noodles tasted minty and there was no flavour to it. It was dry, the only bitts I enjoyed in the noodles was the chicken init. Would recommend and visit again to try different varieties.

Placed an order through just eat. Was late but everytime I tried to call the restaurant the phone juat rang out. Food never arrived so have requested a refund

I recently dined at Rickshaw restaurant and had an absolutely delightful experience. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed with the modern and comfortable ambiance of the space. I have dined at many places before, but I have never been to a cleaner restaurant than Rickshaw. Ordered food from here many times they never disappoint. The service from the staff is really good especially a young man name saif. The food is full of flavour and the portions sizes are very big and you get what you pay for.

Food was delicious and delivered piping hot! Pleasantly surprised how quick the delivery was especially when we’re all the way in Toton.

We weren’t aware of Rikshaw until we noticed it’s vibrant lighting which attracted our attention as we were passing. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I have a nut allergy so asked about which oil they cooked with and if any dishes contain peanuts. The manager(?) heard me asking one of the staff and immediately came over to explain which nuts were in which dishes. We ordered two chicken tikka wrap meals to takeaway. We were told it would be a ten minute wait, which was fine. Our meals were delicious and we are planning to return soon and try some of the other dishes.

Ordered a takeaway and arrived 90 minutes later, cold. Tried to contact the restaurant but no reply. Overpriced and under quality. Removed of my list of prefered takeaways. AVOID...

Ordered via Uber Eats, waited 2 hours rang over 6x. Worst customer service, food was stone cold and didn't even get a refund. Do not recommend

Ordered the Rikshaw Haka Noodles - Chilli Chicken, the menu states it comes with cruchy veg but mine arrived with shredded carrot and a ton of spring onions, no chilli chicken bits just re-fried leftover pieces of chicken and no sauce. The meat (there was more batter than meat) was chewy and no flavour whatsoever. I am so disappointed with this meal, it fell far below an acceptable standard and the meal ended up in the bin! I have heard some good reviews about this place but after today i am not convinced....definitely not worth the rewards they boast about.

We sat and ate in at lunchtime (3 adults and a 10 month baby) The tables were high but it wasn't a problem at all. Baby sat on our laps. The staff were so friendly. Offering fruit and drinks for the baby (on the house).We all had different food but was all very yummy. Not your run of the mill takeaway. All the food was clearly freshly cooked, not in any way greasy and presented nicely on plates and bowls.I've eaten out loads. But this is by far the best one.Had takeaway from here lots of times before too and was excellent. I would highly recommend it.

I can't believe Rikshaw has been near me for ages and this is the first time I've been. I'll definitely be back soon. The menu is interesting, the food delicious and the server was really friendly, he was especially kind with the messy baby we brought who adored him (and the homemade mango lassi).

We travel to Sherwood especially to visit here .The food is absolutely fantastic . The menu is varied and the quality is amazing . The food is always tasty and fresh and the service is out of this world . It really is a must try place and be sure to try the papdi chaat .I can see why it has won awards it really deserves them .

Not ordered from here for a while and really fancied a chicken tikka wrap. What came was nothing like the description of grilled chicken tikka in a wrap. It was a chicken curry with spinach and onions in a wrap. No sign of tikka and pretty bland and horrible too. Also expensive for lunch. I messaged on the and asked for a response and have not received one.I simply cannot see why this place is so popular if they can so badly misrepresent a wrap

Thank you Rickshaw for feeding my family good food over two nights (it lasted). I ordered lots and was generously given complimentary bhaji's and mango lassi x 2. These were much appreciated as well as the masala fish, chicken curry, saag paneer and the rest. I feel lucky to have this takeaway on the doorstep. I am now a loyal customer.

First time ordering Rikshaw and I can honestly say I was very disappointed. Lack of flavour and spice. Great looking food but bland in taste.

Fancied a lunchtime treat, Ordered food at 12:15 today. At 1:15pm call Rikshaw to see when food is arriving. Get told driver is 15mins from us. 1:50pm - still no order, phone Rikshaw again, this time a different person tells us he’s just called driver and he’s just around the corner, 5mins from us.2:15pm - still no order, phone Rikshaw again, got told another lie that he’s 10mins away etc. Food finally turns up whilst on phone a full 2 hours after ordering!!Generally food was luke warm, chips were cold and soggy, samosa chaat very nice, paneer noodles very bland. A £44 order, ZERO customer service and unfortunately the last time we’ll use you guys ever again.

Slowly getting worse and worse - perhaps growing too quick. Used to be spot on and then delivery times started to get longer and longer. More recently when I've ordered, the food has ALWAYS been late - and I mean min of 30mins. Ordered on Saturday....food late and stone cold. Naan was burnt and they're pushing out rubbish on social media of a free 'surprise' for anyone who orders. No surprise just rubbish food and service. Won't be returning to Rikshaw sadly.

Probably ordered around 10 times from this place. And the first 5 faultless, as a vegetarian the paneer options are excellent. More recently, we’ve waited over 2 hours before being told that order was damaged by the driver and new one would be made and delivered an hour later. The latest time we were given chicken noodles by accident. Extremely frustrating that a place with such good food is constantly diminishing it’s service standards. As a result, I won’t be ordering again despite the food being good, as having wrong items arrive and waiting constantly longer than delivery times is unacceptable. It’s about time the same focus on food was put on service

Have now ordered twice from this restaurant. Home delivery was prompt, food packaging was great but the food itself was out of this world! Highly recommend the biryani dishes and the portion sizes are very generous!

Ordered last month and despite the app saying the order arrived at 19:35pm it did not arrive until 22:40pm. Called continuously and each time the staff hung the phone up. Very disappointed.

Ordered due to some of the great reviews, unfortunately we didn’t read all the negatives and wish we had. We spent £40 on a takeaway for two, almost double what we’d spend anywhere else. Food didn’t arrive for ages. Phoned and was told it was “out with the other NG15 orders” which meant our food was cooling down whilst it did a tour of the local area. I believe this was a lie. An hour later and still nothing. They didn’t answer the phone despite trying over 20 times. Whilst I was on the Live Chat to Just Eat trying to get them to cancel and refund me, the food arrived over an hour and a half late (2.5hrs from ordering) at which point we were barely hungry. Food was lukewarm. Some of it was tasty and had good flavour but not good enough for the price, not even close. If we’d got that food for £20 we’d be unhappy. The owners are greedy, they accept too many orders when they’re struggling and clearly don’t read these reviews because loads of people complain about long wait times and cold food. During COVID times a hospitality business needs to be on point, as reputation is everything. Some people would be more forgiving due to the pandemic but it’s NOT an excuse for crap service. At the end of the day there’s a lot of other Indian takeaways in Nottinghamshire to choose from so I’d rather go with one that will deliver food hot and on time. It’s also absolutely nowhere near worth the premium they charge.

This was the worst chicken korma I've had in my life! It had no taste at all very watery too Aldi chicken korma is alot better and a lot cheaper I'll never order from there again.

Me and my missy we had the honour to have this Indian take away food for Christmas Day and honestly was fantastic and delicious, clean food and not greasy , full of distinct flavour , she had a vegan choice (tarka daal , chole daal) , and me a super lamb biriyani , both of the dish was spot on , with not doubt indeed we will definitely come back , just for have a feast in our mouth .

Ordered a takeaway through Just Eat this evening, so easy and self explanatory in the app. Food was delivered on time and was extremely tasty. Rikshaw Rogan and Korma, both chicken with large well cooked pieces, I've had better Peswari naan, I prefer it sticky on top. But saying that I will be back for more. Absolutely delicious.

Delicious!10/10 from myself and my family. We ordered a variety of dishes and they were all beautiful in their own right. Very flavoursome, not too salty, spiced to our liking and the lamb was cooked to perfection! We will be ordering from Rikshaw again and considering we live 20mins drive outside Nottingham the food was still hot!
