The food was very tasty and value for money. The portions are so good for the price. The staff was so welcoming and helpful. The food came out quick and the flavours were soooo delicious 😋. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Overly Strong fishy smell from the prawn starter. Never smelt that before from that dish. Even the madras had a fishy taste and was very bland. Was up all night in agony with bad stomach. Won’t be using again

Came in for our anniversary and it was lovely, not too busy but England were playing so guess it would have been later. The food was lovely, hot and tasty as always.

Taste of Spice..WONDERFUL! Lovely atmosphere,great, friendly efficient service and the food was absolutely delicious. We are definitely going to visit at least monthly now and introduce our friends. We were pleasantly surprised how great this place really is and in our Duston village. Walked there and back so had a couple of drinks each too. Thank you for a really good evening. 👍

Greta taste!! Food was delicious and we had 4 dishes to share with 5(4 adults 1 child) and it was more than enough. We loved having all the dishes in the middle and share everything. I have to admit the coconut naan, albeit delicious could easily pass for dessert with sauce from Malaya curry or butter chicken, which both were sweet. We didn't have anything too spicy so don't really know about spiciness. Definitely recommend! Portions were very good!!

It has been some time since I last ordered however ... I ordered today and the service is fine but the curry's were tasteless, I am very disappointed as this 'was' by far the best curry in Northamptonshire as far as we were concerned. So sad!

The curry, rice & were good. I did feel the samosas were hopeless (far too small & the meat dishes are light on filling). And as pictured, the naan was clearly burnt and had a horrible taste. However, not a bad spot, but a little over priced, and we noticed the takeout containers were a little light on curry & meat, which is rude considering the cost. Lots of good options locally, perhaps look about before visiting.

This was my first time at this restaurant. Where i live it's in a very good location. I was welcomed with a warm a smile. Very clean inside & nicely decorated with stylish furniture. I went in for a takeaway. Good service & very helpful because i wanted to try a different Indian meal than the ones i ususally go for. They food was very tasty, colourful & nicely presented. I enjoyed every bit of my meal. Will intoduce my friends & surely will be back there very very soon. Compliments to the chief & a very special Thank you to Muhammed . First time we've had food from here and have been in Dustin for years. Take away came on time, and the food was absolutely delicious. I had the Chicken Dhansak and my husband the Lamb Tikka Madras. The Samosas were the best I've had in a long time! Would definitely order from here again.

Not up to my expectations I’m afraid. Been twice and on both occasions all naan breads brought just taste burnt and not of cheese and garlic. Think forgot to put meat in keema Nan. Had a basic curry as didn’t want anything too hot. No problem there as believe they never even attempted to put and curry powder in. When I walked in the door very quick the door to the kitchen shut. Kept looking at door discreetly and then food brought out there was staff in the back in the kitchen not wearing face masks. Lost my custom I’m afraid

Collected an order from here as family locally use them regularly. Food was average (fresh but not in line with temperature indicated on the menu and i felt was a little bland, all up. To be balanced, I had one of their specials so it can't be compared to my locals, but certainly would be classed a spicy per the menu). Biggest disappointment was their attitude to customer service. Order was £56, discounted for collection down to £50ish. I wanted to pay with my debit card and was told by owner/manager "it's £56 then", as he turned his back on me and walked away. So apparently the discount is for cash, not for collection? Ok. Then got a condescending lecture with a large helping of attitude on how they pay card fees. If you're paying £6 of fees on an order of £56, you're being taken for a ride by your provider. If you don't have enough baked in to an order of £50+ to cover card fees, you need to review your pricing or be clearer that your discount is for cash. Very disappointed by the attitude and have made sure all my family and friends locally know my thoughts. I won't be back out of principle.

Avoid this place if you want to live I had ordered my food and collected it sat down to eat it and within 2 mins it was gone The lamb vindaloo I had contained 1 potato cut in half and 5 slithers of meat drowned in some sauce clearly not vindaloo then I had some pilau rice that was cooked hours prior and reheated I know this because I eat rice all the time so I undestand the life cycle. Of rice. Next up my partner had a chicken korma with coconut rice and the rice again was reheated but because of the coconut milk the rice when opened was all stodgy and un edible, the korma looked more like a buttery chicken sauce with no taste at all as if they just poured a whole tub of yogurt in the pot and just graced it with a slight presence of flavour and within 1 hour my partner was projectile vomiting in turn I had to clean up the mess not the job I had in mind! Honestly in my opinion these are a bunch of dudes mass producing low rate curry's not even cooking the spices off its just a bit of waste of time and money anyone who says different are clearly eating the wrong type of Indian food AVOID AVOID AVOID

Having moved to St Crispin just over a year ago,this was our first port of call. Since then we have never looked back, food is fabulous and very reasonably priced. Staff are friendly and nothing is too much trouble. They even ask if you are ready for your next course before bringing it to your table. This is a very good restaurant and MUST be visited.

Good food but was very rushed like get you in then get you out Thanks for replying I did say to we would have a take away but you instead we stay and things will be ok it would have been better to say sorry we are booked up Chris

Very poor delivery time on website, not very helpful on the phone either, when it did arrive 1hr and 15 min later it was bland!! Paswari nann has hardly any coconut inside. All 3 curries we ordered all tasted similar We will be returning to Cinnamon, who offer better service and taste!

We ordered a takeaway (for collection) 18th March. The gentleman taking the order was very friendly & at the restaurant he and the other staff were very welcoming. This was our first visit to the Taste of Spice and it certainly will not be our last. The food was fabulous, I have a few favourite dishes I tend to go for, however, I tried something completely different; the chicken balti bhuna tikka and I was very pleased, the sauce was really tasty and the chicken was delicious. The price was very reasonable too, especially as we had left-overs for lunch the following day. We will definitely be back, we don't live in the area, but we work out of a haulage yard in Duston and The Taste of Spice will be our "go-to" restaurant / take-away when we spend time in the yard. (Sorry no pictures, the food smelled so good we got stuck in and forgot to take any photos!! Next time.)

Very tasty food but very noisy .. finished the night with a group of rowdy drunks spoiling the evening!! May not rush back!

Great food, delivery driver was very rude though. I rounded up to the nearest pound as it was easy and said don't worry about the change. He said "never give a tip that small, its very rude" gave me the change and stormed off. Probably wont order again.

Amazing food which is fresh and full of flavour. Excellent customer service too - these guys genuinely care that you are happy. If ordering takeaway at the weekend, I recommend ordering by phone for an accurate delivery time, or so you can collect it.

We bought because we got home late- too tired to cook. We normally make our own Bengali style curries. One hour for delivery is pretty standard for Indian takeaways. The Saag paneer was ok and samosas too- hence two stars instead of one. Naan breads were pretty fair too. The delivery guy was friendly but this is where the compliments end. The chicken in the Korma was dry and chewy. The Lamb in the Jalfrezi was mostly gristle and tougher than an old boot. The chilli heat was literally thrown in at the end with barely chopped up chillies rather than in the sauce. I'm not averse to chopped chillies but if you're making a proper curry the heat and flavour is best when added with the spices at the beginning. However with main courses being so poor I won't be buying from here again.

Absolutely outstanding! Always a fantastic restaurant. The food is always good, with even better service, could not recommend enough.

Been to a variety of restraunts but without a doubt the quality, taste and presentation of food here is amazing. Staff are friendly too, especially the small one. Would highly recommend Taste of Spice.
