Taste of Raj in Barnet

Food went cold extremely fast. Onion bhaji was very dry. Prawns in prawn curry were ridiculously small and the curry sauce had no flavour. The lamb tikka masala was unbelievably sweet like korma. Bombay aloo was completely flavourless. Disappointing

Food was hot and freshly cooked so didnt mind bit late. Also they were busy which tells me they're popular and ao food must be good.

Delivery driver was very rude, which is disappointing because the food is very good and delivery time was accurate. He was very rude because "I left him waiting 3-4 minutes", he called me and I went downstairs immediately. I live on the 2nd floor, I got downstairs as soon as physically possible and it still wasn't enough for him. I tried to just say thank you and close the door but he just wanted to complain at me that I was ruining his other delivery times.

Perhaps use of less oil in rice and aubergines to be cut smaller pieces as was too chunky

One of the worst Indians I’ve ever had. They didn’t bother reading the order properly or my requirements so half the food was not as ordered and ended up in the bin. Chilli paneer was completely tasteless and bland beyond belief . Chicken tikka masala was far too sweet. Veggie biryani was mediocre. Will not be ordering from again

My children & I enjoyed the food. My son found the Garlic Chicken Tikka a tad spicy but ate the chicken anyway. We got a free bottle of soft drink too. We’ll be back!

The menu offers a wide variety of authentic dishes and each time I have tried new ones I have been satisfied. I particularly recommend the Chicken or Lamb Biyrani and the Chicken Tikka Masala. When I first got into Taste of Raj I would have their chicken biyrani almost every week it’s that good. My absolute favourite dish anytime, honestly it’s become my comfort food I literally get it all the time. The naan breads are also soooo good, freshly baked and has rich taste. I really like the Keema nan and also recently tried Peshwari nan, which is now my favourite, it has such a sweet but alluring taste. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience. It’s literally my comfort food and such good prices too. Allahumma Barik

I ordered a pre-order , it came earlier than I put which I don’t mind. It wasn’t as hot as I expected. There could have been a bit more chicken in the dishes but the taste was 10/10 and everything was really nice. The only thing they forgot was the mint sauce dip.

Used for last couple of years. I travel and use other ITs but this has consistently good taste, portions and quality. Not had problem with service but once had to wait over 2 hours for delivery. Best Indian I've had for years and look forward to ordering from here whilst visiting.

15 mins early, great quality food, delicious, hot, fab. Had one of the new veg starters and the Acharee lamb.

Never disappoints food was delicious. Had the chicken korma with pilau rice.

Sadly, this new driver did not read the delivery instructions and went to the wrong end of the block where I cannot let him in. Then he phoned me demanding that I open the door. I told him he had not followed the instructions. All he has to do is follow the instructions. Or, if he did read them, he chose to ignore them and decided "Screw this guy, what does HE know! I'm going to go to THIS end of the block! Screw him!" So he went to the wrong end of the block where the entrance is to the next block, not mine, and where the bell does not ring for me. And I cannot let him in! I cannot rate this driver, but he gets Zero Stars.

They were very busy and, as usual the food was excellent, but it took more than 90 minutes to arrive! It was still nice and hot, though. It's a shame that they are so good that they are so very popular, so sometimes I have to wait quite a while to get my dinner! But it was worth waiting for!

This place used to be ok and a bit cheaper than some others. The food has gone downhill. Worst onion Bhagis we’ve ever had, this kids both refused them. The lamb patia didn’t taste anything like a patia, and came in a basic sauce that was bright red. Aubergine dhal didn’t have any discernible dhal and came in exactly the same sauce as the patia. The veg rice chicken korma and butter chicken were ok ish.

Best tasting Peshwari chicken in the world!

Normally the order is excellent but this time the coconut rice came extremely saltly. It is unedible. I think a mistake was made in the kitchen?

Loved it! Tandoori mixed grill was amazing, a lot of meat for a good price, it was lovely. Chilli sauce could be improved but overall, amazing food. Delivery time was a little slower than expected, however the driver was really nice about it!

I live in a flat and the person delivering (who works at the restaurant) called me twice, refusing to enter the building and expecting me to meet them at the "entrance", although there are around 3. I explained that I would buzz them in if they rang the doorbell and thought nothing of it... Until the man came to my door and started lecturing about how he was never coming up again and how in the future I HAVE to go downstairs to meet him (although every delivery driver I've encountered have had no problem entering the building to the flat). As I'm a much smaller girl and I live alone, I tried to diffuse the situation and after nodding in agreement I tried to close the door - the man then pushed my door and kept it open with his body, saying "I wasn't done talking" and continued to berate me and making me extremely uncomfortable and slightly unsafe. While the food is alright, the service was absolutely appalling and I'm not risking my safety and wellbeing for this again.

Not the best so far - Our order was delayed and then you sent our food to someone else's home and it isn't here yet (8.58pm). The driver tried to deliver it to another road called Aldridge Avenue. We live in HA8 not in HA7. Attention to detail is everything! I hope our food will still be hot and edible when it gets here! I can't rate the food it still hasn't arrived.

Driver went to the wrong address twice. Restaurant and driver insisted they were knocking on my front door. The guy on the phone was just plain rude.

Actually went to store so lot cheaper than just eat. But missing sauces and took longer than ordering online. Think I will just eat in in future. Atmosphere deansbrook full of smack dealer's as usual. Will go else where in future. Now parking is chargeable. Pay and display. Very keen traffic warden's. Just down road fro. Their office.

I’ve ordered many times from this restaurant it is one of my go-to Indian restaurants. I always get a tikka masala , or butter chicken & vindaloo lamb ( hot) . They always add a free nibble when you spend over a certain amount which is really nice, like tikka wings or onion salad or something. They make a nice garlic naan bread . There tikka masala is more sweet then some other places may do but I do like this. The butter chicken is more savoury tasting I do prefer the tikka which I order mainly. They make yummy meat samosas and I love the sauce they give you with the meal. Goes yummy with popodoms , samosas / or too cool the hot curry down. Would buy again!
