My recent visit to Taste of Lahore with friends was a thoroughly dissatisfying experience. From unprofessional and untrained staff to a lack of service and disappointing food, the overall atmosphere left much to be desired. Upon entering, we noticed only one occupied table about to leave, and the staff appeared more focused on takeaway orders. The initial interaction with the friendly waiter was promising, but red flags arose when he struggled to answer basic menu questions, highlighting a lack of preparation. The Mix platter we ordered for 2-3 people turned into a series of disappointments. Served in four separate plates, the chicken and lamb were dry and burnt, seemingly reheated. The absence of the naan that was supposed to accompany the platter added to the frustration. The service continued to falter with delayed tea and an unwarranted number of accompaniments. Honest feedback about the dry and burnt platter was met with an unhelpful response from the staff, showcasing a lack of attention from management. Moving on to the Nihari and naans, they were decent but under-seasoned and drowning in oil and corn flour. The only enjoyable item was the French fries. Despite more than half the food being sent back, the manager offered a 5% discount and urged us to leave quickly. It was not worth a second of our time speaking to a person who insist on paying ASAP and doesn't want to listen to our concern. Obviously, because she is a vegetarian who wouldn't know if the meat is dry, burnt to charcoal or chewy. Insisting on speaking to the chef, we were confronted with arrogance and rudeness. The chef's claim that people in the area prefer intentionally overcooked and burnt food was baffling. The most disappointing aspect of the evening was witnessing a professional in the hospitality industry respond to valid critiques with disregard for customer satisfaction. The attempt to negotiate payment resulted in an unpleasant disagreement. We were willing to pay for the rest of the meal but only wanted to pay partially for the disappointing platter. The chef's insistence on a higher payment led to an unsatisfactory conclusion. The establishment's cash-only policy, written on an A4 paper on the till, was not communicated to us, further adding to the frustration. In the end, we made a bank transfer of £39, considering the food cost for the platter. In conclusion, my experience at Taste of Lahore was marred by untrained staff, absent management, and an arrogant chef/owner. The blatant disregard for customer satisfaction is disheartening, making it difficult to recommend this restaurant until significant improvements are made in both service and attitude.

Amazing restaurant. Food was absolutely delicious. The manager in the West ealing was extremely pleasant and gave us a great deal for food for a large party. Definitely recommend. And can’t wait to go again.

I ordered a fish biryani and it was delicious, absolutely loved it. The portion size was decent and was very tasty. Its well seasoned, has a little kick of chilli but not too much that non pepper eaters can't tolerate it. I thought the chicken and chips there was nice but now I can't decide which is better. If you like fish you really should try this.

Served stale, re-heated food. Kebabs were hardened from repeat microwaving. Meat had animal hair in it. Glasses and dishes were dirty. Saw staff come out of bathroom and handle cutlery and straws. Owners are rude and running a money laundering scheme it seems. Avoid at all costs.

The hygiene at this establishment was unacceptable. The toilet was covered in stains and the sink was unsteady and poorly fixed. The food was also very poor quality, likely due to being prepared in a ghost kitchen rather than on site. Additionally, the fact that they only accept cash is concerning and may be a sign of tax avoidance. This warrants investigation into whether all of the employees are working legally.

Stay clear of this eatery! Totally toxic. We asked for tandoori chicken and received some over-marinated boiled or poorly grilled bird. Tasteless seekh kebabs. Mushy and, again, tasteless tarka dahl. Naan that probably came from a super market - frozen and defrosted - and, again tasteless! And the service is far from warm …

i ordered off uber eats. I ordered 5 kebabs, received 4 instead. the restaurant won't listen and ignored the situation blaming it on uber. they could have been a little considerate being we regular customers. higly unprofessional

My very first experience with Taste of Lahore! Tried the most common item available in UK's any Pakistani restaurant; Naan Kabab Roll and it was good! But serving staff was kind of confused and slow. Tables on my left and right complained for wrong order and pace of service. It would help if they employ professional waiters/waitresses with a smile - that will help because I'm assuming the other items are also tasty . . . N.B. I paid by contactless card but there's a big sign "CASH ONLY". Must be removed for better business practice

Unfortunately I don’t think I’ll ever eat here again. The chicken tikka biriyani I ordered today was inedible. The chicken was hard, chewy and something seemed seriously wrong with it - Either it was very stale or had been reheated way beyond a reasonable time. The paratha was thick and half cooked. The vegetable curry was clearly a bag of frozen mixed veg in curry sauce. If it wasn’t for the disgusting and possibly dangerous chicken I would give this place another try but there is no way I would risk that now

Poor hygiene and rude worker, never again 😡, I sawed a worker made a mistake when making a burger by adding a wrong sauce and then he removed all the salad from the bun with his hands and put a deferent sauce and salad , really disgusting.

Got a whole grilled chicken. Went home and realised it was full of green mouldy bits!! Truly disgusting!!

We went there on weekend mid morning for halwa puri breakfast. Halwa was smelly and left over brought to us. Puri is like my 9year old daughter can make it better. Chicken doner was raw.

Just had a wonderful experience at Lahore in West Ealing, the food was excellent, delicious and fresh,the waiter Vicky was very polite and attentive, highly recommend.

Lleno de salsa y casi sin carne. Me molestó ver que así es como tratan a los clientes que compran comida para llevar. No deberíamos tener que revisar los contenedores antes de pagar para asegurarnos de que tiene la cantidad adecuada por la que pagó.¡El sabor estaba allí pero apretado con el tamaño de la porción!

We have ordered and ate in many times but today was absolutely terrible the standards have stooped so low unbelievable! A simple dish of baigan bharta was ordered it looked like it was an aubergine curry mashed to look like a bharta with skin and no red sauce or onions. All the other currys where no where near like they used to be as well as the half chicken bland and chewy. Not a satisfied customer.

The food is really good , reminds me of the food I get back home . Quick service ,tasty food , value for money . However I will say the downside is they don’t accept card payment which is inconvenient in today’s world .

El naan también fue muy bueno. Me gustaría tener esto de nuevo.En cuanto a la higiene, no parecía el lugar más limpio. . . . . Pero estaba bien.

Nos encantó. No te preocupes por la limpieza, la comida era deliciosa y tuvimos una gran comida. El pollo al curry especial estaba perfectamente condimentado y mi berenjena estaba picante pero no más. El arroz zeera también era genial. Ambos estábamos contentos con la comida y sin duda volveremos cuando estemos en la zona. Y el caballero que nos atendió fue muy amable y servicial. En general, una gran recomendación del hotel!

The owner (old man) has no manners or customer service skills. Tried to charge me more despite having a special offer on for lamb curry, naan and drink.Had the audacity to tell me that i should have said i wanted the special offer even though i had ordered what was included in the special offer.The way he spoke to me was disgusting and then waved his hand and said go very rudely.He’s lucky i didn’t kick up a fuss and embarass him infront of all the dinersAfterwards i was told by a colleague of the shockingly poor hygiene rating Fair to say i will never be visiting this place again.

I felt like I visited Pakistan without even ever being to the country. Lipsmacking Mutton Karahi with butter naan so Authentic. The butter chicken didn't taste like regular butter chicken, but was tasty nonetheless. Top Mughlai food here.

I was really hungry late night, and was in the mood for a kebab roll. Found this place nearby and picked up a really tasty kebab and some well cooked chips. Will definitely be returning, maybe to try some of their other food next time.

I’ve been to many Indian restaurant and the kitchen here is awesome. Food is fresh, taste is amazing. We go ther once a week and our kids more than welcome. This place is our Indian Canteen now !

This is a busy, honest and good value curry cafe, does grilled chicken and freshly prepared pakistani food. The tandoor rotis are fantastic, I go for the vegetable dishes, best bhindi I have ever had and saag daal also recommended.

The Chicken Briany was badly prepared and not tasty and no spice or saffron had been added in their preparation. The owners look different not the precious people who used to prepare to keeping to original Briyani Taste. Very disappointed and will not recommend this place

I was craving for good curry, and saw this place and thought of giving a try and I was not disappointed chicken saag and naan was good. Good for quick meal will try again.

So unfortunate that the food gets overshadowed by the poor service. We we're 25 minutes into our meal and we had to ask the server for some water. We felt like we interrupted the server's luck time. I mean that's ridiculous, busy chatting up the staff, but no time to look at the customers. The food was really flavourful and delicious. If only the seveice could match that.

I requested the food for 8pm and pre booked it 5.30pm. Once I arrived the sales assistant said it’s been sat here for hours and handed it over cold. Apparently no note from just eat to suggest 8pm or even suggested to warm it up. Definitely won’t be going back after tonight’s experience

My first choice for a curry in london. Good prices, and good service. Most curries coming in under a tenner. Large amount of options on the menu as well. Recommend the lamb chilli masala - spicy, and tasty. The naan bread is very good as well. One of the best kept secrets as well is their rotisserie chicken. At £5.50 for a half chicken, chips and drink - it's a steal.

Nunca había visitado un establecimiento como este y me pareció que no podía ayudar, pero ya que estaba tan ocupado! La comida era muy buena y el servicio era rápido. Lástima que no pude haber tenido una cerveza con la comida, pero no era el fin del mundo.

I came here to try the lamb biryani my sister was talking about a whole lot. Worth coming all the way from Uxbridge! So tasty, and the meat was so soft! We also ordered a plate of seekh kababs and 2 butter naans.

My favourite place to eat grilled chicken. I always come here for the flamed half chicken meal with chips. Really tasty, juicy and delicious. Chips are good too, not soggy, the right amount of crispy with my favourite aioli sauce. Chilled environment, quick service. Fresh and good value for money. Will recommend this place to anyone.

I have been ordering take outs from this place for many years now...infact since they opened! My usual is saag gosht (lamb with spinach) which is delicious. I have tried many other dishes but always come back to this one.

Al visitar hace un par de años no me impresionó la limpieza de la decoración, pero la comida nos pareció muy buena. Visité de nuevo hoy, y me sorprendió gratamente ver que había sido reformado. Esto ha mejorado el ambiente. La comida es sabrosa aún y el personal es amable. Parece que siempre estará ocupado, pero la comida es servida rápidamente.

Me encanta a unos 10 minutos a pie de ToL así que voy bastante a menudo.

I love this place and I eat there very often as I live nearby. The food tastes delicious and the place is clean. Also the staff is very friendly. All in all the food is worth the money and the prices are very reasonable.

La comida no es sorprendentemente está demasiado mal el diseño interior del restaurante permite al lugar. Me da la sensación de que necesitamos poner mucho más esfuerzo en el lugar en términos de decoración y diseño.

I had my 3 meals in this restaurant in first week of Nov 2016, The Taste is real good, food quantity is good enough. They tried to balance the real Pakistani / Punjabi taste with Local atmosphere, Food is suitable Spicy and it is good chance to get your taste (if you are from South Asia or like South Asian Food) while in London. Average meal price per person is approximately 7 - 10 GBP. They don’t keep you waiting long for your food. It is more a functional restaurant than the luxurious one, reasonably clean. It is a market place and you get many other shops and south Asian & Iran’s restaurants around. Easily reachable by bus and almost 15-18 minute walk from Ealing Broadway Underground (Metro) Station and situated on main road, can be spot easily. Food is good but I think they should improve their customer services and give more attention on guests needs.

I've visited this restaurant several times in recent months to grab a takeaway when working late and too lazy to cook. There often seems to be more staff present than customers and although the food is tasty enough, there's nothing about the place that makes it stand out to any of the other similar eateries in the area. The staff need to be a bit more friendly to customers, and their prices don't seem to be justified, e.g. £5 for a regular kebab (or £7 for a large) is a bit steep and they are quite reluctant to give you extra salad when you ask for more of something. I haven't used the toilets at the premises; but from having read some reviews here, that's probably a good thing. The tables look clean enough when I've glanced around and there are usually several tables of customers eating away quite happily. Their prices are not in line with the look of the restaurant, i.e. highish prices for the area (especially considering it's West Ealing) but the seating, decor (or lack of it) and atmosphere makes it look like a cheap cafe.

Have come to this place a few times, food is lovely however the whole place is filthy especially the toilet! Which makes me wonder what the kitchen is like?? Don't think I will go back again because I don't want to risk my health. Please clean your premises more as I would really like to come back and enjoy the delicious food!

It doesn't look like much from the outside....It didn't look like much from the inside either....BUTThe best 1/4 chicken dinner we had on our vacation. It was incredibly flavourful and the service was spot on.

I visited the place 2-3 times during my stay at Holiday Inn Express in Ealing, London, great food, quick service and at 2 minute walk from the hotel, towards Ealing Broadway station. Lamb Biryani and Lamb Kebabs are highly recommended!

One of my favourite pakistani restaurants around their food is always great. the staff are always attentive and i visit for some paneer tikka masala or lamb chops atleast once a week. I cannot fault this chain in any way, the food is great and their hygiene is 10/10.

Taste of Lahore is fairly local to me and this was the 3rd time i'd visited and 2nd time I've ordered the MASALA chops although they are a bit on the pricey side it is worth every single penny. I've never known chops to taste so good. A nice large portion and a fantastic spicy dish all other items are just as good and service is good too, the owner is very chilled out polite very accommodating. Fantastic little place to eat when you need a curry.

Try this restaurant. Don't look at the outside but just try it. I visit there when in the area. Very close to the Holiday Inn Express Ealing. Some of the best Asian food I have had try:Keema peasChicken spinach Wonderful food

Tried this place a little while back.And still having nightmares.Very dirty throughout the shop, curries a bit on the watery side, grills tasteless won't be back in a hurry if at all.

Ok the Place itself way not look the best its more like a canteen style place, but If you want good Pakistani food home cooked style then I cant really Recommend this place.The Fresh Naan is great the only thing I have not eaten is the Roast chicken other than that I do love this place as it is also local. One issue of concern that I feel I have to write about... portion sizes getting smaller while prices increasing. I think they are applying the same logic as Chocolate bar manufactures by reducing the size. The sheek kebab in the Naan kebab roll used to fill the whole diameter of the naan bread. Now it doesn't. When ordering a curry which are now £7.50-£8.50 a pop you will get a very small allocation of meat in the balti dish and it will be drowned with the curry sauce (to give it the impression you getting a substantial serving of premium curry with a generous meat serving

Not good foodSpoiled rice bad services The food brought was not cooked properly, when asked the waiter to take it back he did so but then a person from the counter came back and asked what the problem with the rice was. He was shown the rice that was not cooked he said it was ok as it will have some rice like that. He started arguing that we would have to pay for it any which way when we never had said we won't pay for the same. It just shows how mo eye minded they are and just don't care for their customers...

Ordered Chicken Tikka Masala, Tandoori Chicken Wings and Lamb Biriyani and all tasted amazing! The Chicken was fresh and white breast meat in the Masala (just the way its supposed to be) and the Lamb was good soft meat with no fat. This is important to me otherwise I simply get disgusted very easily and put off.I will be ordering again and collecting, even though I live 25 minutes away from the restaurant...but it was recommended to me by my ex hubby :) Good portions too for the price paid.

When not busy the place is really nice, have visited many times in the past and the service has always been nice, the owner is also a very nice gentleman. Every time we get their amazing tandoori chops and their fresh naan bread. The amazing dips are always at the table and freshly squeezed orange juice is available. In the last few visits there was one gentleman who served us and he would take quite a long time to come over after we come in and this was during the quiet period when there is only 2 more tables who have already been served.Not a big issue, but a slight improvement can be made. Otherwise will definitely come back. Love the old service, love the food and not so big prices. And for those who love nandos you will love their chicken and the prices!Quick, tasty and not expensive!

The item listed as "tandoori chicken" was infact their full flamed chicken which was misleading. Other than that food was delicious!!

Oily curries. Tiny portion sizes unlike the big portions we had when he had dined in once. Had a great experience when we had dined in so will try once more maybe to see if takeaway can live up to those standards.

They used to be very good. Now they are very busy, you be lucky to get a tablet. The food is now hit and miss.whi h has put me off going there. They are quite expensive too. The high prices is justified when they make the food nice.

I have been here many times. A couple of years ago this place was consistently good but now it is hit or miss which is a shame.Their saag daal and daal bhajia are my favourite dishes. The bharta curry used to be lovely and smoky with lots of aubergine chunks. Now it is more mushed and no longer tastes the same. The nan is good but sometimes can go a bit rubbery. The butter roti is very nice.Customer service wise I have always found them to be very good. The waiters have always been attentive. One of my friends has a nut allergy and they always make sure there is no risk of contamination for him. He has never had an issue here.

Did not deliver full order. When I phoned to ask where the missing item was they said their driver had gone home so they wouldnt be delivering my food. JUST EAT refused to give me a refund.

I can't really agree with the negative reviews. It's a cheap curry house, not tea at the Ritz regarding some reviewers attitude towards customer service. I have always found the waiters polite and efficient. The main part though, the food! I always go for the curry, in my opinion it's some of the best that I have eaten in London, and being a Londoner I have had my fair share. The portions are massive and I usually end up taking some home. Would highly recommend A Taste of Lahore.

This would be the second time I have eaten from this restaurant. I was very happy with the delivery time, it was earlier than expected. The food was nice as always, and I was reassured of this as the last time I ordered the food was nice. However, the reason why I am not giving full stars, is because I found a black hair in one of the pilau rices I ordered.
