Another amazing evening at my favourite restaurant. I went for my birthday with a large group of friends. The service was excellent, the pizzas were incredible (as they always are) and the staff really looked after us and made a special effort for my birthday. They gave me a tiramisu birthday cake with candles and sang to me. And the pizzas just kept on coming. Very good value. I’ve been to the top pizzerias all over Italy - Taste of Italy is my favourite and we keep coming back. Thank you as always to Sergio and Lucia and the team. We’ll be back again very soon. Great food and quality service. Really pleased with the food ordered, was delicious and very generous size portions. Kids meal was perfect too!

It would be hard even in Italy to find a better pizzeria. High quality ingredients coming from Italy, and you can taste the difference. The pizza dough is incredibly light and delicious even by itself without any toppings. The owners and the staff are very friendly. I highly recommend this place if you want to have an Italian experience.

Delicious pizza! As two Italians in the UK, we can say this is one of the best pizza we have ever had. If you want an authentic experience, this is the place to go. The staff are so welcoming and so friendly, like Italians are!

This was our go to pre theatre restaurant - the pizza is fantastic! Unfortunately this place now seems to have a policy of vetting bookings as was the case for my family. We had a large booking in for April and received a phone call from the restaurant enquiring about our party. When they discovered there would be 6 children all of a sudden they started suggesting they were fully booked and doing their best to put us off… needless to say we have taken our business elsewhere where and this place will never receive another penny from us again. Disappointing as we love this restaurant, having supported it from the start and spent thousands in there over the years. Some advice for the owners… hospitality is a very precarious industry at the moment and it would be wise to value every customer…

We had the best time at A Taste of Italy. The food, wine, cocktails and service were incredible. We would recommend this restaurant to everyone!! Best pizza ever.

Excellent pizza spot, never fails to deliver. Friendly faces always make me feel welcome, in particular Pete and Christina. Booking is advisable, but as a walk-in, they always do their best to find you a spot. 5 stars.

Love this place, love the food, love the Beer, love the staff, love the Limoncella. The menu is varied to all tastes and never disappoints. Book early as it can get busy. This was our 10th visit and will keep coming back. It's not I warn you a quiet night out.

Best pizzaria in Chelmsford (possibly the world!) I've ordered an olive and anchovy pizza and my husband ordered a 4 cheese pizza. It was simply divine, staff are super lovely and friendly, so welcoming. Their attention to detail is great, greeted with olives on the house and service was quick! What more can you ask for. We ordered a tiramisu at the end, again was perfect! You would not regret it

With the warm welcome from the hosting staff to the classic Italian brassiere decor, one can’t help but feel excited for the meal ahead. However, the charm of the establishment quickly wears off in the 1 hour and 40 minute wait between starters and mains. Myself and my partner were hoping for an enjoyable Valentine’s Day meal out, although were let down by the endless wait for food and total absence of service. Whilst the food that eventually arrived was pleasant, the wait and lack of service from the team muddied our rather long evening meal out.

This a truly piece of Italy in a british corner...the best pizza in UK is a title well deserved. From the beginning till the end the experience was great ! We've been welcome by a verg big smile on the entrance and without any reservation, they found us a table for 2(Sunday affternoon....). The service was great, the waitress(Cristina i guess) help us a lot to decide about what we will eat, she made good recomandation regarding our taste. We decided about a starter and 2 different pizza to be sure that we give them a hard test :) the food was delicious, the italian taste which is hard to find in UK. The beer is imported from Italy so the taste is original till the end. Till we decide to leave thr place was full but we spot that the people didn't wait to much for the order to be taken or thr food to arrive, is great to see places were people really love what they are doing and they work togheter for the same goal. Well done, we'll return for sure 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Amazing atmosphere, friendly staff, and even better food! I can’t recommend Taste of Italy Pizza Bar enough to anyone wanting a great relaxed dining experience with delicious food and good portion sizes. The cocktails are a must try!

If you enjoy fabulous high quality Italian food in a buzzy and casual setting, then try Taste of Italy! We had a set 3 course meal for two - arancini and burrata for starters, pistachio and Taste of Italy pizzas for our mains, and a cannoli and an affogato for dessert. Everything was fresh and flavourful, service was quick, cheerful and professional, and we look forward to going again soon and working our way through the whole menu eventually. It was Hubby's birthday, and they popped a candle on his dessert and sang to him. They also offer takeaways. Total five star experience!!

Wonderful pizza, fresh salads and good fries as well as friendly staff - half and half works out great value (Elena very lovely waitress too).
