Stopped in here for a quick dinner before seeing an event at the Chelmsford Theatre, which is opposite. Had pizzas and they were absolutely delicious, truly outstanding. I love pizza, and I believe this place is as good as it gets, genuinely amazing food, great service and cannot wait to go back. Thank you

All the food is great, the interior is cute and really clean and the staff are lovely. You have a healthy amount of freedom when it comes to choosing portions (example is pizza sizing) but theres also a diverse variety of other food and drinks you can treat yourself too

Lovely restaurant, spotlessly clean, great attentive staff. Interesting menu, we had ‘open calzone’s’ something we’d not seen before. It’s a freshly baked calzone, opened, stuffed with Italian ham and cheese, folded and served with quite a good size salad and the taste! Best Italian food we’ve ever eaten? Probably, are we returning? Yes definitely! Cannot fault this place. Sorry, no pictures, it was so mouth-wateringly good, eating was more important than pics!

Visited with friends and the atmosphere was really nice and welcoming ...the staff especially George made us feel very welcomed and they were very friendly and professional...Had the best pizza that I had lately ...definitely recommend

Visited twice here recently, their pizzas are amazing - can't think of anywhere else that could better them and even on trips to Rome and Sardinia didn't find them as good. Service was friendly and fast.

As an italian I can tell you this is a proper pizza,made in the most authentic way ,with the italian ingredients, my son had as usual his pepperoni pizza,my husband as usual his lovely bianca with ham and mushrooms, my mom had tried the pistachio and mortdela one word fresh creamy burrito to die for and I gave it a try to diavola with spicy nduja,all was absolutely delicious.I can't recommend this place enough.The staff are really attentive and always go an extra mille to satisfy all their customers, always with a smile on their face.Evwn if you are not a fan of pizza you will always find something else to try as lasagna, pollo ,arancini Give this restaurant a try and I promise you won't be disappointed

I have yet to eat, but as a tourist, to go to a restaurant that has ‘the best pizza in the uk’’ does not offer WiFi… as a solo traveler, completely unacceptable.

The best pizza I've ever had, definitely a place where to go at any time to enjoy the a delicious pizza created in a most traditional Italian way, with proper Italian ingredients(really makes the difference). From entrance I was impressed with the professionalism of the staff, very respectful and friendly, iven if the restaurant it was full we had no waiting time for our order and it was just perfect, can't wait to share this experience with all of my friends. Highly recommended!

food is always amazing, service is also fabulous!

The majority of the food was good. The starters and the arancini was good. The same can’t be said for the lasagne!! The salt content was way too much and to be honest I found it inedible!! We ordered enough items that the main would be the only thing that we would be eating!! If the lasagna had been the only thing ordered then it would have been a review of 0. Super salty lasagna is not what I expect!!

The quality of the food was very poor. Main issue was the pizza was very soggy due to the amount of grease. Unfortunately the service wasn't much better where the timing of food was well off and had to chase staff for food. I had higher expectations after reading some of these reviews.

Just finished my meal and I must say... wow! My partner is Italian and from Catania (Sicily), so she was a bit unsure about coming here as since she moved to the UK 7 years ago, she hadn't had one great pizza. Pizza Express was the closest she had to a good pizza. Not anymore! My pizza had tomato base, mozzarella, parmesan cheese, rosemary potatoes, Italian sausage, and red onion. Absolutely amazing! The quality of the ingredients was spot on! Also.... the crust was so light and tasted soooo good. The service was great, and the pizza didn't take long to come out at all. We certainly will be coming back as there are 2 other pizzas I would like to try. Highly recommend if you want to eat the best pizza in Chelmsford! The other Google reviews will back me up!

One of my favourite restaurants in Chelmsford. The staff are so friendly and thoughtful, even the courtesy shot at the end they brought an alcohol free for my niece who is 4 also they had colour in sheets and crayons to keep the little ones entertained. The pizza is just delicious.

Pizzas were delicious and reasonably priced - particularly enjoyed the ability to choose between two sizes. Decor has a bit more of a Subway vibe to it rather than nice restaurant to match the quality of the food but it wouldn’t put me off going again!

The restaurant had a huge choice of pizza and even some set menus as well. I had the nduja and burrata pizza which was delicious, the dough was perfect with a generous amount of toppings as well. The service was excellent and we appreciated the limoncello as well! We will definitely return at some point!

Pizza was absolutely gorgeous despite being a little greasy. Pizza has that authentic Italian flavour, this was my first visit and will likely be one of many visits in the near future. Portion size was great and the menu was well presented. The restaurant was decorated well inside, shame there’s no offers to help cut costs as it can be quite expensive when ordering more than one item per person.

The food and service is unbelievable. The freshest ingredients and the best pizza you will have outside of Naples itself hands down!

Overall very very good, service couldn't fault and you can definitely tell this is a family run business, bruschetta was top teir one of the best I've ever had. Pizza was good although a little too oily for My liking and the tirimisu was excellent aswell. Menu could do with a bit of refining as it's a bit clunky. I hope the owners take on board these small points as I think it can be one of the best run restaurants in Chelmsford.

Good quality pizza, it's made really well. However charging £20 for some pizzas isn't fair considering how much it will cost to make. Would definitely return, however the pricing needs to be reviewed.

Appalling service.They confirmed my order and didn’t deliver after collecting money through Deliveroo.There was no call to my number which was on my account.The staff offer no real help apart from defending the delivery driver who did a lousy delivery attempt without even attempting to contact me or Deliveroo.To make matters worse Deliveroo also wash their hands off as it’s the restaurant who fulfill their delivery through their own riders.This restaurant used to have good service.NOT ANY MORE.A disappointing experience

Went for a pre theatre meal. Pizza wonderful Salad wonderful Service excellent, the maitre d'/ manager had a wonderful easy going personality in keeping with the relaxed atmosphere of this gem of a restaurant. Value was excellent. To top it off on the next table to us were 2 members of the band we had come to see.

Absolutely the best pizzeria in UK. The food is stunning! The "Tartufella Pizza" is a dream! No one can compare with them. Trust me, I'm italian from Sicily.. Decided on visit after seeing it was voted best pizza in UK. A bold claim. Pizza was generally good but have had similar pizzas in many places. Glad we gave it a try but wouldn't necessarily go out of our way to go back.

I had an issue with a delivery order, Peter gave me a free Pizza delivered at a time and date of my choice. Had it tonight and it was delicious. Amazing food and customer service cannot be faulted. Thank you 🙏

I ordered delivery, the food came hot and a reasonable wait time. The pizza was so delicious and flavourful — it had me savouring each bite of my crust. Panna cotta was so deliciously creamy and of such good quality.

Tucked around the back of the bus station this place doesn't look like anything special but have to admit that they do cook a great pizza!

Me and my partner had the bottomless pizza, we had three pizzas to share and did half and half toppings to try more flavours. Amazing taste, great consistency of the dough and crust, lots of options to choose from. Service was also amazing! Everyone was very friendly, including the owners who were very attentive and welcoming, and especially our server Cristina who was wonderful. We will definitely be back to try out more flavours

Great pizza but sadly on both occassions we have ordered online the food has taken over 2 hours to arrive and our most recent order took over 3 hours. We called the shop and they didn't apologise or want to resolve the situation and kept lying regarding the status of our order.

This is my local pizzeria that I visit at least once a month. This is a genuine Italian restaurant which uses the best ingredients and produce and serve one of the best pizzas in Chelmsford. Dough is always cooked to perfection and topping ratio is fantastic. Staff are always friendly and the level of service is phenomenal. I highly recommend this to anyone whether it’s a takeaway or sitting in.

The service was excellent, the pizzas were incredible (as they always are) and the staff really looked after us and made a special effort for my birthday. They gave me a tiramisu birthday cake with candles and sang to me. And the pizzas just kept on coming. Very good value. It would be hard even in Italy to find a better pizzeria. High quality ingredients coming from Italy, and you can taste the difference. The pizza dough is incredibly light and delicious even by itself without any toppings. The owners and the staff are very friendly. This was our go to pre theatre restaurant - the pizza is fantastic! Unfortunately this place now seems to have a policy of vetting bookings as was the case for my family. We had a large booking in for April and received a phone call from the restaurant enquiring about our party. When they discovered there would be 6 children all of a sudden they started suggesting they were fully booked and doing their best to put us off… needless to say we have taken our business elsewhere where and this place will never receive another penny from us again. Disappointing as we love this restaurant, having supported it from the start and spent thousands in there over the years. Some advice for the owners… hospitality is a very precarious industry at the moment and it would be wise to value every customer…

Best pizzaria in Chelmsford (possibly the world!) I've ordered an olive and anchovy pizza and my husband ordered a 4 cheese pizza. It was simply divine, staff are super lovely and friendly, so welcoming. Their attention to detail is great, greeted with olives on the house and service was quick! What more can you ask for. We ordered a tiramisu at the end, again was perfect! You would not regret it

Love this place, love the food, love the Beer, love the staff, love the Limoncella. The menu is varied to all tastes and never disappoints. Book early as it can get busy. This was our 10th visit and will keep coming back. It's not I warn you a quiet night out.

With the warm welcome from the hosting staff to the classic Italian brassiere decor, one can’t help but feel excited for the meal ahead. However, the charm of the establishment quickly wears off in the 1 hour and 40 minute wait between starters and mains. Myself and my partner were hoping for an enjoyable Valentine’s Day meal out, although were let down by the endless wait for food and total absence of service. Whilst the food that eventually arrived was pleasant, the wait and lack of service from the team muddied our rather long evening meal out.

Had really high hopes for this restaurant because of the reviews but unfortunately it did not live up to the hype. The service was very slow (took us about an hour to get our food) and the food itself was fairly average. Do have to say that the staff were extremely friendly and the vibe was really good; shame on the food.

Best Pizza not just in Chelmsford but in ESSEX

We normally go to another local Italian, but they had no availability so thought we would try here, given it is across the road from the theatre (we'd been to the pantomime). The food was AMAZING! We had pizzas, salads and calzone. My other half loves calzone and said it was the best he'd ever had! I had the tuna salad, nut again it was excellent. The staff are incredibly polite and friendly and were great with the kids too. Complimentary lemoncello when paying the bill. It felt a little bit pricey but we don't eat out too often so thought it was well worth it given how good the food was too. We will definitely come back again.

We walked in without a reservation and we were made to feel extremely welcome. The food was amazing, honestly some of the best olives I’ve tasted and there was a great selection of pizzas, reasonably priced and absolutely delicious! The staff were also really friendly and made it a great experience. I’d definitely recommend a visit!
