Everything was lovely - food tasted good, lovely staff, great atmosphere. However, a cockroach appeared in our table at around 6.30pm. We were quite a way away from the kitchen, but this is a serious worry. I left after telling them.

Chittinad chicken - worst taste, Pepper chicken also worst taste and served with stale chicken.

Great food and service. Don’t miss the Mutton Roast and Chilli naan.

Finally, I found my favourite chicken chukka.

After a day out in East Ham with a friend who is familiar with the area, we went to eat here as she said she usually comes here when her family want non-veggie food. I ordered the mutton Madurai roast on top of white rice to pair it with. Incredibly spicy, but you have the option to make it mild which I didn’t know until after I ordered it. Meat was soft and chewy. Perfectly seasoned and sauced up. The reason this review would be debunked to a 3 is because me and my friend found a strand of hair in her chicken dish which was quite off-putting. Reasonably priced and service was good. But hygiene levels are questionable.

In the crowded East Ham dining scene, many restaurants experience a decline in quality over time, but the Taste of India chain has maintained its high standards. Please note, the restaurant can get quite busy during weekends, so plan ahead!

Great food, so much flavour. Fresh, hot and very happy with service. I ordered 1. Chili chicken 2. Chicken dosa 3. Chicken tikka biriyani I just wish they gave me onion and lemon with the biryani dish, that would have been a nice touch. I will be back!

Excellent tasting food both vegetarian and non vegetarian. Took a date there and it was lovely both atmospherically and aesthetically. We both enjoyed the food very much. Would recommend if you like Indian food with a kick and it can be a little spicy if you don’t mind spice.

Best Indian restaurant... In the UK? We live in Maidstone and travel past all the other restaurants just to come to this one. Food is delicious with large portions, and the service is great. And if like us, you order too much, there's always takeaway boxes at the ready from the owners. Forget the rest, have the best!

Had a visit. Ordered one full chicken mandi but got half chicken in that. They serve half chicken with the name full chicken. Also the chicken they served with the name mandi was not mandi. It is originally called shawaya in Arabic. Those who originally eat mandi will get disappointed. Chicken 65 was juicy and price worth quantity.

I have ordered food for takeaway my dosa was completely off. I have ordered so many times it never been like this before. I ordered mysore masala dosa in which masala stuffed with chilli puree inside was totally off. Please do quality check before serving to customer.

The chicken biryani was microwaved. Did not taste fresh.

Biryani is good. Soup smells like it is decomposing and I didn't touch it.. Never try the soups. Just biryani. Management didn't even care when I said soup is smelly.

Having visited today, 10th March for Mother's Day, bitterly disappointed and disheartened by the food that arrived with a long hair in the Gobi Manchurian. I literally pulled the long length of hair from the dish. When speaking to the boylike manager on paying the bill and making him aware, he was absolutely pathetic in listening to our feedback. Told us the hair could've come once it was placed at our table and that the chef was bald LOL.....and what about from the chef to the table.....he was not having any of it not apologetic at all. 1st restaurant where a manager does not take responsibility to admit a fault, I know it can easily happen to anyone. Not sure if I'd be visiting again.

It was a tough task to choose from the overwhelming restaurants situated in East ham. This restaurant proved its ratings and reviews by delivering top notch food with great quality and decent portion size. The service and ambiance were excellent 👌

Generous portions, great value-for-money, delicious Indian cuisine, beatiful interior, high-standard customer service, extensive menu, welcoming to all. After having wanted to visit this restaurant for quite a while, it did not disappoint, I really enjoyed this place. The naan was the biggest naan that I've ever been served in any Indian restaurant, so, trust me, you only need to order one.

Went to this restaurant after a while as we usually go to the one opposite. Good things are some of the starters we had like mushroom 65 and gobi manchurian were really tasty, and probably better than elsewhere. For Dosa we tried to ask for onion dosa mixed in the batter but were said no. So had the normal masala dosa which was good. The Mushroom noodles were fine, and a large serving as well. But the problem was when we ordered kulcha with kadai pakora and navarathna korma, I think the latter had gone bad. Me and my wife only had these dishes and next morning we both prompt had loose stools. It affected me for 3 days before I had to take treatment to stop it. The kids who didnt eat the korma were fine. Overall, i think this is very concerning as this means they serve spoilt food. Not going back again as you guessed.

Must try chicken fried rice and parata.

Plzz do hire literate people the person on the counter is an illerate bad professional he needs to be eliminated as soon as possible. His behaviour towards the delivery driver is very rude

Good family restaurant for south Indian dishes

If you are someone who is missing home food like me, this is absolutely a perfect go to place. Loved every bit of the food. If I could, I would travel everyday to London, just to have their food. Wonderful wonderful food. Absolutely enjoyed.

We went to eat the Non veg food. The taste is amazing . We order ma y dishes out of which only the king fish fry was lil disappointing other wise all the food tasted delicious. Now I visit taste of india every Saturday.

Well very simple good decent restaurant… Good food, good service and nothing that you fault of… Feels like India Team is doing good work to provide you food closest to home and service also closest to home.. Sometimes you feel rushed but i guess they just try to accommodate the queue.

Lamb curry very crafty people. they think people won't know. That there's no meat in the CURRY. when I complaining. they part one two pieces of lamb in the curry. people are not stupid!

Very bad biriyani I ever had.!!!!! Rice was not cooked.

Pathetic biryani. No taste. It was chicken pieces in just boiled rice. Not sue if the regular chef has been changed.

We always visit taste of India at least couple of times in a month. Our experience was always great and brings us back. But yesterday was shocking. Ordered chickenlollypop and it was great but then came the lamb Biryani which was around £17 with tandoori chicken leg on top, but was very poor. Rice over cooked and worst of all was lamb pieces were cold. Server took it back want to reheat that but belive me by that time we lost our appetite. Had to wait for 30 min to get a table ( well no issues on that as it was saturday and it was busy) then wait another 30 mins to get the food again acceptable. But not overcooked reheated again and again rice & meat contain food. Working in the food industry for the last 20 odd years I know very well what it need to be. For health and safety reason hot food need to be 75c and above and over cooked rice and reheating it again !!! Now we will never go again and will advice others to do so. Better off go to the veg Taste of India.

A stellar start to the long weekend! I was a bit worried as my previous experience at Taste of India near Euston was very poor. This restaurant really stands out and gives great authenticity to its name and flavours. We ordered Chicken Chukka for starters , Prawns Kothu Roti and Crab Masala , we were looking to order Jigarthanda ( as a dessert but it was unavailable due to no milk and ice cream which is fairly disappointing in a good restaurant ) . I loved the Crab Masala ( deserves a 5 star) very few Indian restaurants can serve this dish with such authenticity and the portion size was amazing to my surprise. Chicken Chukka is definitely recommended for its spicy tangy and great chicken marination. Service was good , the lady was really polite and service friendly. I saw a gentleman server who always had a smile and you really can't ask for more ( unfortunately couldn't get his name ) . Overall , It definitely gives you a "Taste of India"

Is one of my favourite places to have Indian food, always the best and very friendly staff. Last time we had Paneer 65,Ghobi manchurian and mutton biriyani was really good however the mutton mandi was not that great. Will definitely recommend for anyone looking to have delicious Indian food.

Thali was average. The butter Naan was very soft and delicious. The chicken curry was tasty too. I will definitely go to try other recipes.

Felt like I was eating somewhere in south India. Amazing quality food with proper authentic Indian dishes. Only negatives were service could be better and the naan bread we ordered wasn’t soft enough.

Delicious vegan food. The selection of vegan food is bigger at their other restaurant. This one serves meat too. Lovely ambience, kind waiters and good portions. I have the vegan channa batura and vegan idly. Make sure you tell them to omit the yoghurt as one of the side dips in the channa butura.

We had veg biriyani and gobi 65 which was tasty and crispy, my husband liked their sweet naan. Good place to have Indian food, but i think dishes are slightly over priced.

Weekday lunch time, went as a group of 4. Ordered veg Manchurian and chicken lollypop as starters. For mains, we had mutton biryani, butter chicken and veg kofta curry with butter naan. The biryani tasted better than many other places and butter chicken too.
