Friendly staff, lovely food, good vibes. Definitely worth a visit!

Great for eat-in or takeaway. Particularly love the matar paneer and the arctic murgh. My favourite place to eat in Hampstead Heath.

Great place just up the road from the hotel we were staying at. Delicious food, my vegetable Karahi had just the right amount of spice, and the spicy curry ordered was just as good! The curry for the children was a generous portion which was lovely and mild. We even got offered a night cap on the house to wait out the rain. If you are staying at Premier Inn Hampstead Heath can highly recommend!

Very nice looking restaurant in an awesome Location. The curry is nice but not incredible. The service was a little bit rushed since straight after our meal we got the check and they brought the card machine as we were still finishing our drinks.

Lovely restaurant with a cosy, warm and friendly atmosphere. We have not been in town for a while so it was great to make a return visit to my favourite Indian restaurant. A scrumptious meal had by all which we thoroughly enjoyed and we were offered complimentary drinks at the end of our meal. I must say the host is amazing we found the service very personable and attentive I have highly recommend Paradise to family and friends. Thank you for another great evening, see you soon.

cannot talk about the food as we did not eat there but we came at 2PM and were sent elsewhere as "they were closed and reopening at 6PM". we were extremely surprised to find a restaurant that closes at 2PM and only later found out that we were lied to as the hours found here on google maps do state that they close lunch hours at 3PM and not 2PM. either change your hours or stop lying to customers.

Disappointing Booked for 3 adults for a birthday on a Thursday, on entry we were not made welcome at all, but we thought maybe it might get better, sadly it didn't. Poppadoms had black bits on them, we returned them but was given the same ones back, (as I chipped a pieces off), the waiter said it's from the oil, 'unacceptable' The plates were pipping hot and we were not warned, plates were put on top of the napkins. Drinks slammed on the table, the food was not layed out nicely on the table. The service was appalling, the manager was not available, I'm sure if he was the service would have been better. The food was ok especially the prawns & whole chicken pieces. We spent nearly £100 but did not get the experience we would have expected, not going to return.

Had been meaning to try this restaurant for a while as it smells so good everytime I pass by. Took the plunge and ordered takeout: went to collect only to find that the prices quoted for takeaway on their website are not what they charge and I had to pay and extra £3 - already felt disappointed but I paid and went home. But the second strike was when I took a bite of curry and pulled a long black hair from my mouth (I'm blonde) and after that I couldn't eat and threw out the rest. Such a shame as the one or two hairless bites I had tasted good... :(

Went last night with my son, who is passionate about Indian food. It was by far the best Indian restaurant I have been to in a very long time. I strongly suggest, the LAMB PASSANDA: finest cuts of lamb marinated in yoghurt and nutmeg. Delicious.

Enjoyable meal with generous portions. The mains were superior to the entrees - chicken tikka was overcooked.

I had been to this restaurant on previous occasions with a friend who is a regular customer and friend of the management. We were always warmly welcomed & the service friendly. Today I went solo & accompanied by a friend who is a "newbie" to the restaurant & was accompanying me on my recommendation. The experience could not have been more different. The restaurant opens its doors at twelve and we had a reservation for 12.30. We arrived early at 12.15 but were told to go away and "walk around for 10 minutes or so". Not very welcoming. This we did. We returned to what I can only describe as a surly reception, Noit a smile, not a word of welcome and we were perfunctorily pointed to a table, not even led there..Our waiter was curt & unsmiling and all my efforts to be polite and courteous met with no response. We ordered poppadoms to start with but before we had finished our mains mains arrived. I cannot fault the food which was delicious and generous in portion size and very good value. However, the overall feeling I, and my friend, came away with was that they'd rather not have had to serve us & in the 2½ hours we were in the restaurant we were the only customers.

My husband (Dr Steven) and I came for dinner on Sunday evening after a long absence for various reasons. This has always been one of our favourite restaurants. We came with friends who were very impressed. Wasail the owner always looks after us so well and nothing is to much trouble. It is the little extra service that makes it special, even down to my passion for mint sauce.(very strange I know but the waiters know our preferences and are always very kind in ensuring that these are fulfilled.) Wasail is the very essence of a good restaurateur and treats his customers as his friends. (Even though we obviously are not.) Our meal last night was absolutely delicious and we were delighted that our friends really want to return to Paradise again. So to conclude I cannot recommend Paradise highly enough.

Service was normal. Butter chicken was okay. Onion bhaji was nice dhaal soup could have used more salt. Chocolate was a sweet add on in the end, Helps cleans the palate Overall, okay experience, not wow. Would I go again? The best indian food - our familly's regular 'go to' for the past 25 years!! This place is fabulous and the attention to personal detail is second to none - the host is so friendly and accommodating, simply a wonderful man! If you have never eaten here before, do not hesitate, you will not be disappointed. Highly recommend!

Had an absolutely lovely evening. The food was absolutely delicious and very decently priced. The service was exceptional as a manager was able to bring a table for us outside as we really wanted to be outside but there were no available tables yet. I will definitely recommend to all of my friends and of course be back for myself! :)

Discovered this place during a walk around Hampstead Heath and was pleasantly surprised! Nice warm ambiance, delicious food at reasonable prices, and excellent service. The owner even offered free drinks since it was our first time! Decent food. Terrible terrible service. Never made us feel welcome, rushed our orders, and got mad when we tried to use a gift certificate. Will never be returning. Better off going to Shahbhag Tandoori just up the street.

One of our favorite dinners in London. Excellent curries, papadum and chutney, relaxing open air setting with outdoor seating facing the heath. They have gluten free items market on menu. Very reasonable.

Attended this restaurant on Mother’s Day, the restaurant was fully booked however the manager was quick to find us a table and was incredibly polite, Food was delicious and came all at once and quickly. Food was cheap relative to the area and the portion size, let’s just say there was enough for take away. On finishing up the manager asked how our visit was to which I made a slight comment about the lamb being too tough, the manager assured me this was common for the dish I had ordered but went on to offer a free meal on the house to go. It came shortly after complimentary baileys shots were bought to the table. The manager and waiters catered for our every need and made us feel welcome. Not a place to miss if your in search for some undeniably delicious Indian food in Hamsted Heath 10/10 👍🏼

We arrived at 14:05, and one of the staff members said, "We are closed". I told him that it says that the place is open until 15:00, and we came especially to the place - he dismissively ignored us. Looking at other reviews, many complained about the wrong opening hours and staff rudeness, so I'm not surprised. This is certainly no "paradise"!

So consistent and that’s why it gets five stars. It’s not a gourmet nouvell cuisine but it’s staple Indian dishes good quality ingredients well spiced and also freshly prepared, that’s why it’s always busy and loved by the locals.

Paradise bills itself as an Indian restaurant. It is not. It is Bangladeshi, which became apparent when a waiter did not understand my order for a beer, pointed to his chest and said “Bangla.” What restaurant puts a non-English speaker in front of house? The answer is: incompetent. The menus were grubby and torn. The three of us ordered three starters to share: onion bhaji, seekh kebab and king prawn butterfly. The first two were singed and just about edible and the prawn more flattened than butterflied, losing any taste in the process. A tandoori chicken was burnt, a butter chicken had baby food sauce and the Kashmiri lamb consisted of large overcooked chunks in a sauce so bland that it had virtually no taste. Two lemon sorbets contained ice crystals, indicating that they had been thawed and refrozen. We were serger After Eight chocolates which I pointed out to the proprietor were the best thing about the meal.

Tasty food friendly service and resonable prices

I can not fault this restaurant. I food is amazing, best Indian I have ever had. In summer you can sit outside and eat which is a really special and unusual for a Indian restaurant. The service is insane. The second time I came they remembered my previous drink order and bought me the same. One time I accidentally ordered the wrong curry, mixing up Murg and Kema, however the owner even though it was my mistake bought me the one I wanted and left the other one free of charge. They also gave me free Bailey's at the end of the meal. I have never had better service then this restaurant. This is a place I hope to attend monthly till the day I die.

Tried to eat here at 1:50 (when it closes at 2:30) and we were refused entry. Very very rude as well. We said we would be quick.

Having not visited Paradise for many years, we found it to be changed. The food is not great but average, the service chaotic, some items never arrived at all or had be reordered. The interior is cluttered and not very pleasant. The seating is uncomfortable and cramped. However prices are very reasonable. Paradise was very crowded when we visited for dinner so maybe some latitude should be given. Overall not as good as before, so a 3 star only this time.

They food is good service is pathetic, every time the person who answers the phone is either rude or incompetent to understand anything that you are saying the host is friendly but delivery and takeout options are pathetic I used to go there will never be going there ever .. hated the service

Came for my girlfriends birthday by chance, and mainly to try the arctic monkeys dish, only to be incredibly wowed by both the impeccable service and accompanying food. Haven’t had such an enjoyable food experience in a very long time. Staff were observant and helpful, including a complimentary night cap from the manager! Will visit again.

Fantastic food, and the most attentive friendly service I’ve had for years. The owner goes out of his way to make you feel special. Even when you’re getting a takeaway. “Please have a seat and would you like a beer (on the house) while you wait? Amazing.

Excellent food at a very reasonable price. But the best part for us was meeting Wazel, the wait-staff lead. A gentleman and a kind soul who brings character to the restaurant, thank you for a wonderful evening.

Went to this Indian in Hempstead, whilst visiting my sister. Coming from a family of foodies, I was very impressed. Had the vegetarian options and was absolutely 10/10. Thanks to Numan for his friendly service, as well as the other staff.

We were in the area for a hospital visit and decided to try this restaurant after reading good reviews. We arrive 2 or 3 minutes before noon on a warm day. The restaurant had the door and all the floor to ceiling windows open to the pavement. Four staff members were at the back chatting or on mobile, one on computer. We were told that it would be open in a few minutes. So we hovered at the entrance until about 12:10 looking at the menu. No one came to ask us to come in. They just looked at us from time to time and completely ignored us. So we went to another restaurant nearby and had a very nice lunch there. We passed the restaurant again at about 13:30, it only had one table with two customers while all other restaurants and coffeeshops in the vicinity were very busy, that spoke volumes. I'm not sure why they were in the restaurant business !

For a traditional Tandoori restaurant that you get in the United Kingdom I think this is quite believe average and for where it is they could’ve done better I got the Tandoori King prawns and some naan bread. The server could’ve recommended something to go with it. My colleagues would come over from Sweden had ordered some beers. There was a quite a long delay in getting them. I can understand they run off their feet because I was in great eyesight of the ball you can see servers standing there having a chat among themselves. Sorry paradise you need to up the game please

We came on a Saturday night and was so full. They told ys to wait and they gave us the best outside table. Everything was delicious !!!! The best chicken korma. I will definitely come back.

Food is good but booking system is shocking. My wife booked on 8th Aug for 17th Aug by phone. We turned up, no record of our booking. Tried to argue that we booked with a different restaurant by same name. We showed them our phone log that showed we had talked to right restaurant. Would not trust them for a booking. Would make much better sense if they had online bookings so couldnt argue they domt recognise your name or phone number. Else have competent people answering the phone who can understand very basic names (nothing complicated in pronuciation terms)

The best Indian restaurant in London, great service.

I'm 47 and have been coming to this restaurant for over 40 years. The food is fantastic. The family who own it were some of the only other brown people we knew in the area when i was young and they have been kind to us whenever we come. From my parents to me to my kids now. Really love this place and most importantly the food tastes amazing.

I don’t usually give reviews these days, but this place is just really that good. The staff was not even super friendly or outgoing, but the food was so good that I still give them the highest rating.

I would’ve taken more photos if we didn’t just dive into this incredibly delicious meal. Wow!! What a good experience at the gates of Hampstead Heath! If you like Indian food, Paradise should be on top of the list when you come to London. You may even spot a celebrity, like we did, dining next to you.

My friend and I had such a great time here! The food is delicious and almost the whole menu is gluten free which is fabulous since I have an intolerance. I highly recommend it.

Absolutely amazing! We had an early dinner here yesterday as a group of 7 and everything was fantastic. Service was friendly, food was so, so delicious and the atmosphere was great too. The portions here were surprisingly huge and generous as well. Can't wait to come back.

Absolutely tasteless food, worst Indian of my life; total tourist trap.

Hubby and I came here for dinner just the other day. We were lucky to get a spot outside; we didn't make a reservation, but I would recommend making one as the place was packed. The service was quick, and helpful. Our server did help us with portion size; we would have definitely over ordered otherwise. We ordered the arctic murg, shah jahan biryani, paneer makkhani, and the garlic naan. Our favorite was the biryani and the paneer. The arctic murg was a spicy version of the butter chicken. It was spicy and flavourful, but the chicken was a bit dry. The garlic naan here is thicker and more bread like then I prefer, I like my naan chewier. The biryani was super tasty and came with a side of vegetable curry. I'm usually not a big fan of lamb, but they did a good job with it, and it didn't taste super gamey. The paneer was a nice contrast to the spicy bitter chicken we had. After finishing our meal, we were offered fresh mint tea on the house! It was a lovely way to end the evening. We enjoyed this place and will likely be back.

This was a disappointing experience. From the rather dry onion bhaji to the very poor bhindi bhaji to the unexciting tandoori mixed grill (except for the chicken tikka that was good), the place was only saved a more critical rating by the staff who were keen to please.

So bland. The worst curry I’ve had in London, potentially worst I’ve ever had full-stop. Nothing I’d be able to recommend to a friend, potentially to someone I didn’t like but I’d generally say avoid it in general. Came highly recommended but I’m assuming the man was on the take or had never passed a curry through his lips before. Could make a better curry from a jar, at least the chicken wouldn’t be overcooked. Quite an art to not only remove the taste of prawns in a prawn puri but also somehow colour it red without adding any flavour. Curious - clever in a way. Plain, disappointing, expensive.

Very disappointing, heard that this restaurant was fantastic. We found the Food to be bland and not fresh. Ordered a take away, which we picked up, costing £30.. inedible!! Onion, bhajis, dry… vegetable curry was mostly potato. Lamb Bhuna, dry no sauce. If I could give no stars I would and quite frankly think I deserve my money back!

Was expecting some really great food as had been recommended by friends. Being the first time my partner and I ordered three mains between us so we could try different dishes. I am no ultra spicy curry fan, however all three were the most bland Indian dishes we've ever had. Couldn't recommend any one of the three dishes.

truly the best indian restaurant in london! we've been coming here as a family for years and have yet to grow tired or find a fault in the restaurant. the food is incredible, great portion sizes, even better prices and truly high quality. service is second to none and you always are made to feel special when you walk through the door. overall, one of my favourite restaurants in london.

What a place! We stumbled across this restaurant whilst looking for somewhere to eat near Hampstead Heath. From the moment we walked in the service was amazing, and the staff were so friendly, they were fully booked but they managed to squeeze us in. The food was really good and really hot (temperature not spice, we ordered mild food). The prices were really good for the area, we will definitely be back.

Terrible We went at 9:30pm but on a Friday night To be fair, they did warn us that the kitchen was closing soon, so we ordered immediately, but had not envisaged being quite so rushed on a Friday night in London The service was unfriendly and abrupt The food was bland - worst curry and breads we have had in London for years Ourselves and another table were made to feel v unwelcome and uncomfortable - by 10:20 the staff had their coats on and were hovering in the dining area waiting to lock up Will not be going back Much friendlier and easier Indian restaurants on Fleet Road

Out of the five restaurant options we had for Valentines, I’m overjoyed we picked Paradise! The staff were friendly and helpful, the service was impressively quick and , most importantly, the food was absolutely divine! Prices are extremely reasonable and the restaurant itself is comfortable and inviting. We’ll certainly be returning to try some of the specials and an ice cold kulfi !
