Came here last night, spent the whole entire day violently vomiting and severe tummy pain I considered calling an ambulance at 10am this morning at one point. Avoid at all cost I’ve been in bed all day and A&E. Hygiene is poor. They kept my receipts I would like a refund. I wish I checked the reviews first because there is a review from 5 days ago explaining the same situation severe stomach upset. Avoid at all costs you’ll end up with food poisoning which is ironic for a vegetarian restaurant Edit: to your response please go back and look at your worst reviews over the past 6 months. They all scream FOOD poisoning. Before you try to justify your “5star” hygiene rating. I wouldn’t even give you one star if I could. This place has had me bed bound for 3 days, and no appetite as scared to eat Update: Hi I’ve contacted customer services via email. No reply it’s been 2 weeks. I’ve commented your page you have deleted my comment. I commented again and you have now tried to be smart and hidden my comment. Instead of addressing this page your customer service and social media skills are disgusting and neglectful I will be taking this further and sharing on my stories my experience with your company and on my food blog page seeing as no one wants to get back to me. Few days back I went to saravana bhavan and I ordered Mysore masala dosa and it was amazing If you are really craving something spicy go for this dish and I have been served by the staff named Anjana and she is doing a great job with a beautiful smile in her face .

We went yesterday the food was really good as always Anjana did a pretty good job in serving us we were extremely happy in how she served us.

Jassim was amazing, had a warm welcoming smile and provided amazing service.

My partner and I LOVE GOING HERE! Its is by far one of our favourite South Asian restaurant and we are actually meat eaters. That doesn't stop us at all as the dishes and flavours are always high quality and taste delicious. We usually go for the channa battura which comes with a delicious chickpea curry, the gobi 65 (fried cauliflower), spring rolls and often go for a another side dish such as the Paneer Masala, Vegetable Curry or Potatoe Curry. On our last visit, JASSIM, our wonderful server recommended the Mushroom Pepper Fry, what an absolute bomb of a recommendation because it is now one of our new favourites. Thank you Jassim for your service on our visit and thank you to all the staff for making our visits smooth and enjoyable.

It was a really good experience. Kanaga (I hope I got the name right )was so attentive and caring. She was so patient, we ended up ordering so many stuff and 10 year old is a fussy eater and she was so patient in taking his orders with a smile. She even packed the cheese cake for him as a takeaway 😂.Will visit next on March 1 for sure after our temple visit - Deepa & Angiras

The restaurant offers great food at affordable prices, featuring a variety of traditional Indian dishes. There are also pure vegetarian and vegan options available. The customer service is excellent; whenever I visit with my family, we are always greeted with big smiles, and I would rate the service a perfect 10/10. It's better to visit in the evening after 6:30 PM, as you'll find free parking on the side streets. If you arrive later, parking is still available, but you may need to pay.

Went there last week and had the Masala dosa and the idly. The dosa was crispy, the idlis were soft and fluffy. The service was good and the staff were friendly, especially one staff named Kanaka. She was really helpful and helped me to meet all my expectations.

I had a great experince there last week and Kanaka as my server during my visit. She was friendly, attentive and made sure all our needs were met. She really carers about the customers and highly recommend asking for her if you are dining in.

The Ginger Lemon Tea at east ham Saravana Bhavan is simply perfect for this winter! It has the ideal balance of warmth, spice, and citrusy freshness, making it both soothing and refreshing. Every sip feels comforting, especially in the chilly weather. A special shoutout to John for his exceptional service! He was attentive, friendly, and made sure everything was just right. His warm hospitality truly added to the experience. The managers also deserve appreciation for maintaining such a welcoming and well-organized atmosphere. The ghee dry nuts raga masala dosa was incredible - never had anything like that other than a masala dosa and I would definitely get that again!

Visited the branch two days back with my friend. Has always been a fan of Saravana Bhavan food since childhood. But this latest visit was utterly disappointing due to poor customer service and lack of proper attitude from the staff. To begin with the lady at the reception was not welcoming and asked (ordered) us to leave our luggage in an unsafe environment before getting to our seats to which we declined. Although certain staffs were warm but felt like most of them were in a rush to clean up our table before we were even done with our food. Improper way of communication further let our experience down. As always the quality of food was good but couldn't enjoy due to the overall poor customer service. Found that the receptionist and the manager had spoken well and remained warm to people of certain community and the regulars. First and worst experience with Saravanan Bhavan.

I visited Saravana Bhavan East Ham on 27th January 2025 with a friend, and unfortunately, the customer service was quite poor. The lady at the front reception was extremely rude—no greeting, no smile, and an overall unfriendly attitude. I had a small suitcase with me, which could have easily fit in a small space, but she insisted I keep it elsewhere without offering a secure place for it. The dining experience wasn’t any better. While some staff members were warm and welcoming, others were quite the opposite. Before I even finished my meal, a staff member abruptly took my plate without asking or apologizing. It felt rushed and inconsiderate. To make matters worse, the toilets were not clean, which was disappointing for a restaurant of this reputation. Later that day, I visited a smaller restaurant nearby, and despite being soaked in the rain, the staff there greeted us with warmth and hospitality—something Saravana Bhavan should definitely learn from. While the food was tasty, the overall experience was let down by poor customer service and cleanliness issues. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and trains their staff to be more welcoming and professional. A simple smile can make a big difference!

I recently ordered food from Saravana Bhavan, East Ham, through Uber Eats, but the food was not delivered. I understand that delivery issues can happen, but the way this situation was handled by the restaurant was extremely disappointing. When I contacted Saravana Bhavan to inquire about the missing order, I was met with an unhelpful and dismissive attitude. They flat-out stated they couldn’t do anything about it and offered no assistance or guidance on resolving the matter. As a customer, I expect a level of accountability and a willingness to help, especially from a brand like Saravana Bhavan. I had chosen them because of their reputation for good food, but this experience has completely tarnished my view of the restaurant. Their lack of empathy and unwillingness to resolve the issue shows poor customer service. If you value good service alongside good food, I suggest looking elsewhere. A restaurant is more than just its menu; how they treat their customers matters just as much. Saravana Bhavan East Ham has a long way to go in this regard.

It’s ok.. I have been visiting the place since last 2 years, and I feel the quality of food is going down. It just doesn’t taste good. Things as simple as ginger lemon honey tea is made wrong, fried rice is tasteless. Don’t try North Indian food like paneer tikka, it only tastes of charcoal no other flavour. I’m quite surprised, as the quality was much better last year. Hope it gets better
